Business Events iview - to include LSO web courses

Good day. I'm new to the Sap World, this explains my question. Our R/3 is SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) 5.0 and portal is SAP NetWeaver 2004. My question is related to HCM and LSO. For MSS - Employee Data - Personnel Development - Business Event the iview calls function hrwpc_rfc_ep_read_events which displays business events/classroom courses (E) but no web courses (ET). We need to integrate both in the iview. Does SAP has a solution for this, under the given implementation? Could I change the code myself, where can I find info for this? Which are my options? Any help will be appreciated.

You can always display Trainings of the employee including E-Learnings & classroom training of the employees you are managing.
Check the data ,if the employee is enrolled to a E-learning object ET, secondly, check if the manager has authorizatuion to display object ET & relationship of participation (IT 1001) .You can check with the help of trace on the MSS user when tring to load this iviiew if there are any authorization failures.

BEG                 (L)
      BET            (D)
(course)BE        (E),
You booked the attendance to business event type. That booking date is called Bsuiness event.
You will not get any information about the Business event, check the PP01 select the course then give your course(E) no: .
You maintained business events to business types. Check the PSV1 and PSV2. You will get the business events.
Input field for a criteria in Performance Appraisal Template maintained in PD -
. I donot understand what is this.

Missing iView for Business Events in MSS 1.31

Hi,
We made an upgrade from ERP 4.7 to ECC 6.0, and we can't find the iView "Business Events". Do you know if this service still valid in the version 1.31 of MSS?. In the previous version the tecnical name of the service was com.sap.pct.hcm.eeprofileeventdetails.

I think this is now part of the SAP Learning Solution - at least delivered iviews in MSS require
Learning Solution infotypes to be populated
The equivalent in ERP2005 would be
com.sap.pct.erp.mss.personneldev_trainingactivities

More than one web link in a Business Event

Hi SAP experts,
Having created a web link in a business event I was very pleased with myself. Now I find that I would like to add up to two more (different) web links for the same Business Event. There does not seem to be an obvious option to do this. I have tried the route of Create->Create Attachment and Create->Create External Document. These actions subsequently apear in the Attachments List but are not visible to users in the Employee Self Service.
The SAP manual hints that more than one web link should be possible (it refers to 'web links' several times). However in the manual I have, there is no guidance on how to make multiple web links in a Business Event.
Is it possible? What's happening with the 'Attachments' that have been created? Should all the desired documents to be viewed be bundled into one document and then given the one, allowable web link? Is this the thickest question asked on this forum?

LSO: How to restrict employee from accessing LSO Web based course.

Hi Gurus,
We have a requirement where we need to restrict few section of employees from accessing the LSO web nased courses. I know this can be done from Structural Authorization concept.
Can anyone tell me how to implement this structural authorization of section of employees. or any link mentioning step-by-step process will be great help.

Upgrade from Training and Events managment to SAP LSO

Hi,
We've upgraded from Training and Events management to SAP LSO 604 and during that process we have run the execute booking relationship harmonization node in IMG.
We still have references to Business event groups and Business event type in themaster data catalog instead of Course groups and Course types. Are we missing something?

Convention flag on Infotype 1029 (Business Event Type Info)

Hi,
I need to use this functionality of checking the convention flag & specify that my business event type is a multi-session event consisting of multiple sessions running in parallel.
However, this indicator does not even appear for me.
I am using TEM (ECC 6.0) & not LSO (I am aware that LSO does not support marking a course type as convention)
I need to use this functionality & am looking for any inputs on how to get this to display for me.

But no information on displaying this falg.
Please let me know if anyone has worked with this or with Multi-Session Event/Convention or Business Event Blocks (Infotype 1041).

How do I Create Business Events ala PSV1

I can get business events using SAP standard bapis such as RH_GET_PLVAR and RH_GET_EVENT_DATES. I then pass these to a web app for display. What I need to do is to also edit those events and create new events using bapis. This is the same thing you could do using PSV1. But, of course, I will need to do it through bapi calls.
I have had no luck finding out what bapis I need to use to do this. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Pages is mostly for making documents , but there is a great app in the app store called business card design , it let's you create and print business cards .

The business package doesnot contain any training and events module iviews.
We want to use training and event management iviews on the portal(which will be accessed through internet also).
How to display training and event management iviews ?
Do we require to develope web dynpro application for training and event iviews?
Can we use transaction iview for pv8i & pv7i directly ?

I haven't been on an ECC6.0 yet.. but I don't see any issues with creating SAP Transaction iViews for PV7I & PV8I.. The NW04s that drives ECC6.0 will have the integrated ITS, so using PV7i & pv8i should not be an issue. I would check with SAP via OSS if there is a proposal to deliver standard WebDynpros for T&E before going for a custom WebDynpro.

Hi Sunil,
Connection to backend with portal is working fine. Ess business package is working fine . I tried iac iview for pz43 (which is alrready therein sicf node) working fine.Transaction iviews (for webgui) are also working fine.
in se 80 i tried tesing the iac component pv7i (which is already there )
it is giving following error
Service cannot be reached
What has happened?
URL http://hcmides.lntinfotech.com:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/pv7i/ call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
Note
The termination occurred in system CEC with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
What can I do?

Business Event Appraisal in Training and event management

Hi
I am facing issue releated to Business Event Appraisal Functionality in ESS. I have maintained value as blank in field HAP00 REPLA switch.
We have created I View of transacion PV7I in ESS. When i am selecting "APPRAISAL" button for attended event , i can select appraisal form from appraisal form list. On next screen i don't get Appraisal Form where i have to give feedback on different criteria's. I get Rating column and four buttons: Save, Check data, back, Complete.
When i am executing PV7i through R3 then it's working properly. Why it is not working properly in ESS. Kindly help me ?
Other issue..... :
My client needs INSTRCUCTOR feedback functionality means feedback for instructors by participants for particular event. How we can configure in the system for TEM module not for LSO.

Unfortunately the appraisal services (my_appraisals, my_app_create, my_appraisalsm) have not been migrated for the use with integrated ITS.
Please review SAP notes 870126 and 771196
Note:
Since the appraisal services (My_appraisals, My_app_create) have not
been migrated, you can no longer use the appraisal function from the
services PV7I and PV8I with the integrated ITS.
At the same time I am afraid the succession product is not an option
for you as the TEM functionality is not integrated with the new
appraisal functionality of 'Performance Management'. Performance
Management only offers an integration with the succession product of
TEM, i.e. LSO (Learning Solution).
