Business Objecst and APEX

Folks,
One of our users has created an APEX application, buts want to be able to use that data in a Business Object/Crystal report for publication in the BO Portal.
Is there any white papers, etc. that might help us understand how to connect and find the appropriate table using Business Objects/Crystal and then navigate/query the database?
Any help would be appreciated?

Have the user that created the application tell you what schema he used to create the table and what the table name is. This is all readily available through the SQL workshop in ApEx.
You may need to grant select permissions on the schema in question so whomever is doing the Crystal reports can read the table in question.

Using wwv_flow_load_excel_data and apex collections

Hi!
I have a question regarding very popular subject: parsing csv files.
I made one application, which takes csv file, parses it using Vicas's code, presents validation report to the user, and finally allows to submit data into the datatable.
Everything works fine, but I don't like this solution. CSV can cause problems when quotation mark is used inside, when numbers have 1000 separators and so on.
Besides that, I have to add some code to validate column types. Lot of mess.
The solution incorporated into apex tool, called "Data Load/Unload" looks much better. It would be nice to use that inside apex application adding some business validations, and hardcoding table and columns names.
I have seen wwv_flow_load_excel_data package and I'm wondering if it is possible to use load_excel_data procedure to perform that task?
Is there any documentation to that package?
Somebody heard about using that with apex collections (to avoid a need of temporary table)?

Created a function "Integrate APEX" .
-Properties/Type – SSWA plsql function.
- Web HTML/HTML Call – security_pkg.apex_launch
-Form/Parameters – Left blank because created apex_launch procedure without parameters
Attaching to the menu:
Logged in as System Admin -->Menus-->Queried menu (SUPPORT_GUI) and added the function (Integrate APEX) to this menu..

When i click on "Integrate APEX" below error pops up.

Control is not going to security.apex_launch procedure at all. This i confirmed by putting log messages.
Let me know if something to be modified.

Business System: Address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages.
A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system
(service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software
component versions of the business system. The business system services are used when
configuring internal company processes.
Business Systems are Logical Senders or Receivers that exchange messages by using the Integration
Server and that are entered in the System Landscape Directory.
The Business Systems in the System Landscape Directory relate to a system landscape.
The Business Systems of business partners are therefore not entered in the System Landscape
Directory. To be able to address such business partners logically, use communication components in
the Integration Directory. A business system is a way of specifying a communication component in the
Integration Directory more precisely (business system component).
Business Service: Address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages.
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies
involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces. The business services are used when
configuring cross-company processes.
In the PCK, the Service is of type Business Service. It represents an abstract, addressable unit.
Business services are used in cross-company processes, for example, if the parties involved have only
published their interfaces and not their system landscape, or it is only partly known.
Using a Business Service,we can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved
and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
It is useful to use Business Services when configuring cross-company processes. Usually, the
interface descriptions of the business partners involved are made publicly available.

Parties, Business Systems and Business Services

Hi guys,
I've read a lot about items in subject, but have some doubts about applying them to my scenario. I have to integrate SAP system and web service.
As far as I understand concepts, this is B2B communication, so I have to use parties. To represent SAP system I use Business System, as it's described ins SLD, and for Web service I use Business Service... just as we use business services for web services
--- Am I right here? Will it work ok in reciever determination, agreement?

You are doing the usage of business systems and services in proper way.
The scenario will difinately work with combination of business system and service.
It will be fine for all other configurations such as Receiver Determination, Sender/receiver agreements and interface determination etc.
Please see below the importance of Parties, Business Systems and Business Services
A communication party
A communication party (party for short) represents a larger unit, which is involved in a collaborative process. Using a communication party, you generally address a company within a cross-company process.
You can assign a communication party one or more services to address it as the sender or receiver of messages.
A business system
If you want to address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system (service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software component versions of the business system.
You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.
A business service
If you want to address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.
For example, you can define RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) as business services.

SAP Business One and Moving Database Issue

We are in the process of moving our PROD system to a new server. The server runs MS SQL 2005. We installed SAP Business One and by default the demo databases went to the C Drive (C:/Program Files/MS SQL Server/..../Data). The SQL Server that exists has data on D partition and logs on E partition. We therefore dettach the database, copy the files to the correct locations, and reattach.
Now, however, the SAP Business One application no longer finds the Company or Demo databases. Is there any way to fix this?

Sorry to say this, but you must stop rewarding your own threads. A user registered today (10/25//2007) and posted many threads and always rewarded you as thread completed. I dodn't think it is a coincidence.
If every SDN member starts playing this dirty trick, then there is no meaning to use SDN. SDN is for the people who share their good project experiences by helping other members by answering the issue.
As I mentioned before, I should take up this issue with SAP officials if this happens again.
Not only you, some other members were also recently started practicing the same trick, which is not a good thing.
Hope you understood the voice of other forum members like me.

Vendor Ageing Report Business Area and Profit Center wise

Dear Experts,
I have a requirement where user wants a Report for Vendor Ageing Business Area and Profit Center wise.I checked Standard T Codes but the same were Business Area wise but i could'nt find Profit Center wise Report.If their is any standard functionality then please advice.
We are using SAP ECC 6.0 Classic GL with Spl Purpose Ledger active.Can someone please advice can i derive such a report through Report Painter.If possible please advice in details.

I checked in my system but we do not have the Program for the following T Codes

I need to talk to someone about changing all of my accounts. A iCloud account was opened not by me and I lost 17 years of contacts. I have slowly gotten them back. My files from my Mac Book were taken and are gone. It has cost me about 60,000 dollars in business since November which has effected my staff as well. Many personal ireplacable memories of my childrens Photos were taken, Business, designs and accounting and personalFiles you name it gone or corrupted. My main PC including 4 external hard drives, then the Mac Book, My Iphones,itouch. Ipad were next and then my Mac Book pro. This is very humbling and heart felt. those who work with me have very strong beliefs, it was an internal doing or I should say someone gained or was allowed access to my home and equipment. I travel and tour and am gone quite a bit. This was and is the most difficult thing that has happened to me in a long time. In truth business and work will and can be rectified that not the point. It's how and what has been done which is the most damaging very personal almost vidictive but I will stop there. I feel so violated and saddened at the same time. I am hoping to contact someone through Apple or even an outside source to see if my files can be recouped and how to go about doing these changes all at once without all of the emails back and forth to approve changes in accounts what a pain. I want to change all accounts associated with apple. Apple ID and Pass words, I tunes ID and Pass word you name it.When I leave for work now days I have to take all of my equipment or lock things in the safe. I have an alarm system that is very good in additons to, animals still with the animals inside the motion detectors are off and in reality the damage has been done . I now this sounds crazy but I have proof of my back up files not all of them plus you can see in my documents all of my business accounts which are in orderof complition and dates are empty. My email accounts were also hacked and thru that individuals were able to change at will. When you have over 20 years of an association and relationships they know everything about someone. I do not want to press charges but I am to that point I need to bring in someone to investigate and I really do not know whom to even call. I have won awards for my work and my designs and information being taken has hurt more than words can express. I am currently out of town doing this late at night. I have changed my banking you name it. I need to have access to my computers to work but the stress of these constant changes and invasion of privacy are beyond expression. I plug in any of my usb drives and they are empty or my computers do not recognize them. I plug in my usb connector from my HP 8100 Printer with Blue tooth capabilities and it pops up and an external E drive for downloading just like an external drive. My printer acepts every imaginable portable disk on the market . Many of my usb drives are gone or have been corrupted. I have this darn air drop that goes on all the time. My computers I turn off and then they are on when I get up. I can go on and on. I live in the bay area and I am asking for help in trying to stop all of this. I will call Apple next but I wanted to put it out on this forum with the hopes of some response or input. I have all of my new and very minimal recovered information now on a web-based server which I know is safe the pass words and set up were done very discreetly (one can only hope). I apologize in advance for laying this out there like this. I am just so frustrated and because of the POSSIBLE implications makes it even harder In which I truly want to be proven wrong. I have never written or thought that I would be doing this as it is. If anything I hope some good comes out of this for someone. Bluetooth is a powerful tool this much I know now. Wow this is just simply amazing. There are 14 products I have purchased. I have been a windows person for years because of my work somethings are prapriatary to that OS but I love the Apple products. I am despratley trying not to nor will I throw in the towel. I know its a great product and its not the product. I just want to have the best opotunity to recover and have control over my designs and pretty much my privacy and peace of mind not too much to ask..:-) Oh! do not get me wrong I am willing to pay for services thats not the issue here. Once again thank you for at least espressing my frustrations.

WBS, Business Area and Profit Center not flowing in GR/IR Account

Hello Experts,
I have come across a very strange situation. I have two MIGO documents which are showing different posting characteristics:
1) FI Document 5000000553
In this document, the Business area and profit center is flowing in GR/IR Clearing Account (15660000) but WBS element is not flowing to this line item.
Screen shot is as follows:-
As you can see from the above screen shot that, for GR/IR Account 15660000. Only Business Area and Profit Center are flowing and WBS Element is not coming.
2. FI Document 5000015602
In this document, the WBS element is going in GR/IR Clearing Account (15660000) but Business area and profit center is not flowing to this line item
Screen Shot is as follows:-
From the above screen shot, Business Area and Profit Center are not flowing but WBS Element is coming.
Could you please let me know what could be the possible reason for this behavior of both the documents.?

Hi Saurabh,
Its great to see your reply. Yes, I know that currencies and posting dates are different. But that's the way it is. One document is for fiscal year 2014 and other is for 2013. There is nothing related to currency and posting date which was causing the strange behavior of the system.
However, our team analyzed the issue and found that only for service material having a special valuation type related to services is causing the problem and still we are diagnosing the other possible root cause as well.

How do I specify the gmail outgoing server if I have multiple gmail accounts in my mail? I have 2 business accounts and when I send mail from one account, it is sent from the other account and the sending email is not from the correct account.

I love my apple email and do not want to use google mail on safari. However, I have 2 gmail accounts set up on apple mail, but when I send mail from one of my gmail accounts (I choose the specific gmail account in the drop down window), it actually goes out as if it is from the other gmail account. I can't have that happen because one is my job, the other is a personal business account and unfortunately, the mail from both gmail accounts want to send through the personal business account. How do I make it send from a specific gmail account? I even tried deleting the accounts and setting them up again hoping I set it up wrong in the first place, but to no avail, it is still doing the same thing except this time I set the job account up first and then the personal business account and now everything goes from the job account! The only good thing is that the incoming messages work properly and they go into the correct inbox. Somebody please fix my outbox!

In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. Communication between TNS_Listener and Apex Listener

Dear all,
I how does the communication between TNS Listener, Apex Listener, and Apex? For some reason I got the following error from Apex listener:
Caused by: oracle.dbtools.rt.web.WebException: Unable to start the Universal Connection Pool: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: Cannot get Connection from Datasource
Caused by: oracle.net.ns.NetException: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptorI truncated some of the Java object messages.
This occurred when I tried to connect to Apex. Then I can fix this by going to:
http://localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigurethen, everything worked fine.

Hm, I'm not able to reproduce the error. There was one time when I started APEX Listener got:
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: 8080=com.sun.grizzly.http.SelectorThreadHandler@46d999aand when I did the netstat -a got:
root@firefly:~# netstat -apnl |grep 8080
tcp6       0      0 :::8080                 :::*                    LISTEN      4530/tnslsnr I had no idea what made 8080 tagged by the TNS listener, as I started it out before APEX Listener. Very curious how did this happen.
There was one time netstat -a showed me this (this happened after I stopped Apex Listener, stopped TNS Listener, shutdown the database, started database, started TNS Listener, and started Apex Listener):
