BusinessLink for JAVA IO Exception

I try to get onto my banks website, and every time I try to access my account information page, a JAVA applet window pops up says "ENDED" "BusinessLink for JAVA IO Exception", and when I look at my Java Console it says "Input from HTTPS not expected until OutputStream is closed
IO Exception", can someone please help me with this problem? Thanks....

Have you tried contacting your bank's tech support people?

  • Java.lang.Exception: Could not get name for DC project

    Hello Experts,
    We have a code which is downloaded from SVN repository.
    I have imported the code from my desktop into NWDS and when I try to deploy it throws,
    java.lang.Exception: Could not get name for DC project
    I have referred few threads in SCN and solution suggested is to change the workspace and create a new DC & copy the _comp from old DC.
    I tried the above solution but there are lot of build errors as we have few RFC models and it is throwing build errors for missing model reference.
    Kindly help me on how to fix the error.
    Thanks, Swarnaprakash

    Dear Swarnaprakash,
    The Web Dynpro DCs Import C:\----\user\.dtc\LocalDevelopment\DCs\sap.com\test and
    the related package for DC  is missing once check it after try to import.
    Depending on which Java compiler preferences are set, you may see some
    warnings in the "Task" view after importing the project. If the severity level for problems of type "Unused imports" (set in Preferences – Java – Compiler) has the value "Warning", the compiler will issue a warning for unused import references. Ignore these warnings!
    Still You getting means delete your .metadata before take the backup.after open the NWDS again it will set new configurations in your system.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Durga Rao.

  • Catching errors in Web Dynpro for Java when thrown from RFC Raise Exception

    Hello Developers,
    I'm looking for information that explains how a Web Dynpro for Java application responds and processes errors that are thrown from a Raise Exception event within an RFC.
    The Exceptions do not appear to be part of the Model and I can't identify how they get processed.
    When rfc HRXSS_CAT_WD_RECORD raises exception PERNR_NOT_LOCKED this exception is passed back to the calling webdynpro CAT DC that displays the exception on the web page along with the log.
    I would like to display a friendlier message and without the log.  Any information on how to customize the handling of this error would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

    Hi
    I also has similar problem using the QuickTime using via Applet.
    When I connect QuickTime via Applet, I have the error message
    Caused by: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission loadLibrary.QTJava)
    I know that
    this error is caused by the Java security "sandbox" for Plug-in.
    Plug-in has restrictions for unsigned applets..and
    I can use the QuickTime via Applet, if did manual editing of the java.policy file in the JRE.
    ( grant { permission java.security.AllPermission; } )
    But editing of the java.policy file is discouraged...
    My question is why loadLibrary.QTJava has restrictions for unsigned applets??
    and how can I use QuickTime via Applet without manual editing of the java.policy??
    Please give me some advice.

  • Error java.sql.exception when setting up repository for OWB 11g

    Hey all,
    I am encountering the following error on the last step of Repository Assistant, that is, while trying to set up the design repository in OWB 11g:
    "The Warehouse Builder workspace installation failed

    I am new to OWB so please let me know if I've left out any information that would help in figuring out why the installation is not completing.
    Thanks.

    The only thing I can think of in OWB 11g is that the main schema that is used, which is OWBSYS, wasn't fully installed or it doesn't have all the tables or views it needs or they weren't created properly with the cat_owb.sal script.
    Something must not have been created right. I would try to stop all OWB services with the appropriate scripts in:
    <your_owb_home>owb\rtp\sql
    try the stop_service.sql script.
    Then try to drop the users owbsys and whatever you might have created (if it exists) for a workspace owner user. Then clean up with:
    <your_owb_home>\owb\UnifiedRepos\clean_owbsys.sql
    After that it is back to the drawing board from the beginning. DO these steps again that you likely did in the first place:
    1. create owbsys with:
    <your_owb_home>\owb\UnifiedRepos\cat_owb.sql <tablespace_name>
    2. Set the control center home with:
    <your_owb_home>\owb\UnifiedRepos\reset_owbcc_home.sql <your_owb_home>
    *pay attention to the case of the the OWB HOME you give as a variable to the above script.  It needs to match the case of your real path.
    3. Finally unlock owbsys.
    4. look at <your_owb_home>\owb\bin\admin\ if the rtrepos.properties file size is at '0'. If it is for some reason, rename it to something else right now.
    5. Then try to run the repository assistant again.

    Yeah -- what is that? I have same issue during application (on OSB) import from jar file.

  • Good exception handling policy for Java web application

    I'm looking for a good exception handling policy for Java web application. First I found this Java exception handling best practices - How To Do In Java which says that you should never catch the Trowable class nor use e.printStackTrace();
    Then I found this Oracle page The Message-Driven Bean Class - The Java EE 6 Tutorial, which does just that. So now I'm confused. Is there a good page online for an exception handling policy for Java EE Web applications? I have a hard time finding one. I've read that you should not catch the Exception class. I've been catching it previously to make sure that some unknown exception doesn't slip through early in the loop and stops all other customers from executing later on in the loop. We have a loop which runs once a minute implemented using the Quartz framework. Is it OK if you just change the implementation to catch the RuntimeException class instead of the Exception class? We're using Java 7 and the Jetty Servlet Container.

    I'm looking for a good exception handling policy for Java web application.
    If you have not done so I suggest you start by reviewing the several trails in The Java Tutorials.
    Those trails cover both HOW to use exceptions and WHEN to use them.
    This trail discusses  the 'controversy' you mention regarding 'Unchecked Exceptions'
    http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/essential/exceptions/runtime.html
    Unchecked Exceptions — The Controversy
    Because the Java programming language does not require methods to catch or to specify unchecked exceptions (RuntimeException, Error, and their subclasses), programmers may be tempted to write code that throws only unchecked exceptions or to make all their exception subclasses inherit from RuntimeException. Both of these shortcuts allow programmers to write code without bothering with compiler errors and without bothering to specify or to catch any exceptions. Although this may seem convenient to the programmer, it sidesteps the intent of the catch or specify requirement and can cause problems for others using your classes.
    Why did the designers decide to force a method to specify all uncaught checked exceptions that can be thrown within its scope? Any Exception that can be thrown by a method is part of the method's public programming interface. Those who call a method must know about the exceptions that a method can throw so that they can decide what to do about them. These exceptions are as much a part of that method's programming interface as its parameters and return value.
    The next question might be: "If it's so good to document a method's API, including the exceptions it can throw, why not specify runtime exceptions too?" Runtime exceptions represent problems that are the result of a programming problem, and as such, the API client code cannot reasonably be expected to recover from them or to handle them in any way. Such problems include arithmetic exceptions, such as dividing by zero; pointer exceptions, such as trying to access an object through a null reference; and indexing exceptions, such as attempting to access an array element through an index that is too large or too small.
    Generally don't catch an exception unless you plan to HANDLE the exception. Logging, by itself is NOT handliing.
    First I found this Java exception handling best practices - How To Do In Java which says that you should never catch the Trowable class nor use e.printStackTrace();
    That article, like many, has some good advice and some poor or even bad advice. You get what you pay for!
    I've read that you should not catch the Exception class.
    Ok - but all that does is indicate that a problem of some sort happened somewhere. Not very useful info. Java goes to a lot of trouble to provide specific exceptions for specific problems.
    I've been catching it previously to make sure that some unknown exception doesn't slip through early in the loop and stops all other customers from executing later on in the loop.
    If the exception is 'unknown' then maybe it NEEDS to 'stop all other customers from executing later on in the loop'.
    That is EXACTLY why you don't want to do that. You need to identify which exceptions should NOT stop processing and which ones should.
    Some 'unknown' exceptions can NOT be recovered and indicate a serious problem, perhaps with the JVM itself. You can NOT just blindly keep executing and ignore them without risking data corruption and/or the integrity of the entire system Java is running on.
    Is it OK if you just change the implementation to catch the RuntimeException class instead of the Exception class? We're using Java 7 and the Jetty Servlet Container.
    No - not if you want a well-behaved system.
    Don't catch exceptions unless you HANDLE/resolve them. There are times when it makes sense to log the exception (which does NOT handle it) and then raise it again so that it gets handled properly later. Yes - I know that is contrary to the advice given in that article but, IMHO, that article is wrong about that point.
    If you have ever had to maintain/fix/support someone else's Java code you should already understand how difficult it can be to find WHERE a problem occurs and WHAT the exact problem is when exceptions are not handled properly.

  • Need help for traping imported java bean exception

    hi everyone
    i have imported a java bean into my forms 9i using java importer utility which tries to rename a file on a give path(bean works fine when executed through sql client).
    i have problem when called from when button pressed trigger, it throws me an ("FRM-40735 and ORA-105101 NON ORACLE EXCEPTION") error.
    i have imported java.lang.exception class and constructed an exception handler to trap java exception in the trigger
    as
    EXCEPTION
         WHEN ORA_JAVA.JAVA_ERROR then
              message('Unable to call out to Java, ' ||ORA_JAVA.LAST_ERROR);
              --check for ORA-105101
         WHEN ORA_JAVA.EXCEPTION_THROWN THEN
              ex:= ORA_JAVA.LAST_EXCEPTION;
              message('Java Exception --: '||BIException.toString(ex));
              ORA_JAVA.CLEAR_EXCEPTION;
         WHEN OTHERS THEN
              message('error :'||SQLERRM);
    when i imported java.lang.exception i did not find any wrapper pl/sql function or procedure declared to read or get the error messages except for the functions named "new" ,my exception handler failed.
    so i tried with BIException which also fails to trap the error i have no idea about BIException and its usage with in forms ,Please do help me out with this issue ASAP.
    thanks in advance
    Rgds

    Hi,
    don't understand what the BIException is supposed to do in your code, can you try
         WHEN ORA_JAVA.EXCEPTION_THROWN then
         ex := ORA_JAVA.LAST_EXCEPTION;
         message('Exception: '||Exception_.toString(ex));
    where Exception_ is the imported java.lang.Exception package.

  • NameNotFound exception for java:comp/WorkContextMap

    Hi,
    we need to write a context propagation code. I tried the same using the example from - http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs90/programming/context.html#1058673. I have written the web service and it is getting the jndi for java:comp/WorkContextMap OK from it's own initial context. However, when I am writing a standalone java client to use WorkContextMap from the client side by getting a initial context to the weblogic 9.2 server by setting the initial context factory and the provider url, it does not work. I also tried by using only "WorkContextMap" in place of "java:comp/WorkContextMap". but that does not work either. How can this be fixed?
    Just to test, I also tried to doa look up of "java:comp/UserTransaction" from the standalone client and it did not work either. I tried with different types of the jndi string - like with and without java:comp.
    Here is the client code snippet -
                   Hashtable env = new Hashtable() ;
                   env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
                   env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://172.20.8.211:7001");
                   InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext(env) ;

                   WorkContextMap map = (WorkContextMap) ctx.lookup("java:comp/WorkContextMap") ;
                   logger.info("in testEchoService...map=" + map) ;

    Goutam Mukherjee <> writes:
    The issue you are seeing has to do with client initialization - which is a big and hairy topic I won't bore you with. The simplest way to get this working is to use the J2EE appliction client which will ensure proper initialization - including the comp entries.
    weblogic.j2eeclient.Main
    You will need a generated client jar as well I believe.

  • Java closes IE for all users except admin - help!

    I have citrix installed using AD and GPO's. If I login as administrator then I can use java fine. if I login as a user then anytime I try to goto a web site or luanch the java console it closes with no error messages. it is as if I didn't even run the application. I have enabled the setting int he GPO for java, is there another one I am mising?
    Please advise...

    I'd guess the 'legal' way to do this is via the Exchange Shell.  Try Get-OWAVirtualDirectory | fl and see what the authentication methods are.  Then try Get-ECPVirtualDirectory | fl
    Try also looking at the properties of the ECP directory in IIS Manager, and see if IWA is enabled.
    The settings should be configured using the shell, though, to make sure that what is stored in the Exchange configuration in AD correctly reflects what is set in IIS, which doesn't keep that sort of information in AD.

  • Java.NullPointer.Exception for UserUIConfig import

    Hi All,
    The moment I imported UserUIConfig.xml into IDM, my accounts page threw a java.NullPointer Exception.
    Does this file needs any tweaking to do a reimport?
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Java.lang.Exception: Overwriting file

    Hi All,
    We are having some trouble with one of our interfaces where XI creates files in append mode and gets the filename from the Payload. From last couple of days, we are getting the below error for some reason. There are no other extra config setups in the file CC.
    Any help to figure out the issue would be highly appreciated.
    2008-08-12 14:04:56 Error Attempt to process file failed with java.lang.Exception: Overwriting file '
    host\folder\otci001\Archive\08122008_140453_OTCI001.txt' not allowed due to configuration flag

    host\folder\otci001\Archive\08122008_140453_OTCI001.txt' not allowed due to configuration flag.
    Thanks,
    AJ.

    HI,
    Once the file is appended, are you doing any further processing with file. because the error "not allowed due to configuration flag" and as youhave said its not for al the messages indicates to single point.
    If the attempt to append the data in file if in case that is in processing and have locked with some other process flow marked after XI...
    You may also need to look into the FTP log details...for more details

  • XModem via TCP for Java

    I am sure that many of you experienced developers have read requests in the past concerning implmentation of Ward Christenen's XModem protocol over a TCP socket. If not, well... you are about to...
    This is a major hack... but it is starting to come together... thanks to Fred Potter for his source code to start this project...
    Objective:
    Basically, I want to create a console application which accepts an incoming connection and starts the receive mode for a XModem file transfer. I am using CGTerm (for Commodore retrocomputing) but can test with HyperTerminal as well...
    The user who connects to the server selects SEND and the FILE to send for a XModem file transfer... and the transfer begins...
    The incoming blocks of 128 bytes are written to a file
    After the transfer is over the server disconnects the client terminal.
    Here is what I have so far:
    import java.net.*;
    import java.lang.*;
    import java.io.*;
    // X-Modem Server implementation via TCP/IP socket
    public class XServer {
    public static FileWriter fw;
    public static void main(String[] args) throws IOException {
    // define the file
    try {
    fw = new FileWriter("filename.txt");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println(e);
    System.exit(0);
    int port = Integer.parseInt(args[0]);
    ServerSocket server = new ServerSocket(port);
    System.out.println("X-Server v1.0 - waiting for connection");
    Socket client = server.accept();
    // Handle a connection and exit.
    try {
    InputStream inputStream = client.getInputStream();
    OutputStream outputStream = client.getOutputStream();
    new PrintStream(outputStream).println("Go to send file mode!"); // sent to client
    System.out.println("Ready to receive file via X-Modem...");
    * BEGIN TRANSFER HERE!
    // set the debug flag
    XModem.debug = true;
    * Here we are instantiating a new InputStream that represents the remote
    * file that we are receiving. In this single line we are attempting to
    * start the flow.
    * Behind The Scenes: We're sending a NAK across the serial line repeatedly
    * until we finaly start seeing the data flow. If we don't see the data
    * flow, then we throw an exception.
    System.out.println("Sending NAK to start receive mode...");
    InputStream incomingFile;
    try {
    incomingFile = new XModemRXStream(inputStream, outputStream);
    } catch (IOException e) {
    System.out.println("ERROR! Unable to start file transfer!");
    e.printStackTrace();
    return;
    System.out.println("Starting file transfer...");
    * Here we are reading from the incoming file, byte by byte, and printing out.
    * Behind The Scenes: Internally, the read() method is handling the task of
    * asking for the next data block from the remote computer, processing it (i.e.
    * parsing, running checksums), and then putting it in an internal buffer. Not
    * all calls to read() will request a new data block as each block contains at
    * least 128 bytes of data. Sometimes you will only hit the buffer.
    try {
    for (;;) {
    int c = incomingFile.read();
    if (c==-1)
    break; // End of File
    // print character / byte
    System.out.print(c+",");
    // write to file
    try {
    //System.out.print(".");
    fw.write(c);
    } catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println(e);
    System.exit(0);
    } catch (IOException e) {
    System.out.println("error while reading the incoming file.");
    e.printStackTrace();
    return;
    // done
    System.out.println("File sent.");
    new PrintStream(outputStream).println("");
    new PrintStream(outputStream).println("transfer successful!");
    } finally {
    //client.close();
    // save the file
    try {
    fw.close();
    System.out.println("file saved.");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    System.out.println(e);
    System.exit(0);

    Can someone help me along here... I have been trying to figure out how to do this for approx. a year or so... it has been a very slow process.
    I could use a guru to help me out so I can write the upload and download routines for my Commodore BBS PETSCII Emulation Server.
    Visit http://www.retrogradebbs.com for details.
    Thanks.
    Please help out a dedicated developer who is in over his head...

    Ok. Fair enough. What about general information about Xmodem. This is a hard project because of how obscure the legacy technology is that I am having to implement using Java and MySQL.
    I have two major issues which I have to figure out how to troubleshoot and debug, if possible.
    1. The 23+ blocks exception when a file is being received
    2. The exception which is thrown immediately if I try to receive a binary file instead of an ASCII file.
    I read that telnet is a 7-bit technology and that is why Xmodem, which is an 8-bit technology is not that popular as a viable protocol via telnet, whereas Kermit is, since it was developed for 7-bit systems, i.e. mainframes and minicomputers.
    Is this correct?
    If that is the case, why does www.serio.com have a viable X-Y-ZModem library available (for several hundred $$$ of course) which can be used with both RS-232 serial ports and TCP socket ports? Obviously, it can be done. They are the ONLY company with this library for sale for Java to do this. I cannot justify that $$$ amount for a mere hobby (writing the BBS emulation server for supporting Commodore PETSCII (CG) callers via CGTerm or a native C-64 terminal program using Jim Brain's TCPSER middleware, which emulates a Hayes modem via telnet for telBBSing/retrocomputing.
    I really want to learn how to implement a file transfer protocol, since back in the 80s, I used Xmodem, Punter, Y/Z Modem, etc., a lot to upload and download files via modem at baud rates of 2400, 14.4, 19.2, and 38.4, respectively.
    It's fun to learn how the old skool gurus of telecommunications technology did it. It is one thing to run a BBS which supports these technologies and features, and it is an entirely other thing to learn how to design and develop them yourself for implementation into a project such as I taken on.
    It CAN be done. It WILL be done. However, I have just started my exhaustive research on how it needs to be done. I have read up as much as I could on XModem by Ward C., the father of the protocol.
    But, I have no information to help me figure out why the communications are acting as they do so far.
    Can someone please download the xserver.zip file on my website at:
    www.retrogradebbs.com/projects/xserver.zip
    Compile it. Run it. Connect using HyperTerminal, Netrunner, or another telnet terminal emulation program which supports Xmodem file transfers using WinSock.
    See what happens. With finals due in the next two days, this project will have to be put on hold until after I submit my two final projects.
    If anyone knows what needs to be done to support both ASCII and BINARY file transfers via Xmodem via a socket instead of a modem with RTS/CTS hardware flow control, please respond.
    I know for a fact that this can be done.
