Buttons work differently in IE than in Firefox.

I'm stumped on what is causing my buttons to act funny in IE. Everything looks/works rad in Firefox. Can someone please end my misery and shed some light on what I'm doing wrong?

Just found the answer:
By default, images align their bottom edgeswith the baseline of the text. That gray space you're seeing is thespace below the baseline, used by decenders like q, p, y, etc. (Thefact that you have no text is irrelevant - space for descenders isstill reserved.)
You can get rid of it like this:

vertical-align: bottom;

Some tabs and click-on headings are not working. They worked yesterday, and other than updating Firefox AFTER the problems, I've made no changes. Example: headings in Facebook; headings in my library website.

Some of the browser tabs and headers that are "clickable" are noe working. I click on them, and nothing happens. Part of Facebook works, but the headers do not. My library site headers, which has tabs for "Search" and "Account" as examples, do not work. Up till late yesterday, there were no problems. I did re-install Firefox this morning, and it made no difference.

The Yahoo! Toolbar extension has been reported to cause this issue.

Why are Navigation Tabs visually different in IE than in Firefox? - Fix?

I have an Apex 3.2 app that is using Theme 15. I have chosen to use standard tabs for navigation between pages. In Firefox the tabs look very good. Lined up and spaced nicely with titles.
Problem.....when I go to IE and check out the application, the tabs are a mess. The class = t15CurrentTabCenter (which holds the tab title) is shown enlarged and the top of the cell or class (?) is above the top of the tab_close_c.gif that is on the side of it.
I wish I could insert a picture here to show you. Because I know I am not explaining this good.
But, if anyone has knowledge of what is going on and how I can fix the look in IE, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.

Yes. Well, sort of: instead of a "path", set the pen tool to "shape" in the tool properties. Then set the fill colour to transparent, and the stroke colour to the colour you want. You can also set the stroke width.
Not perfect, but at least you can see the path more clearly - the anchor points and handles still remain the default colour. Open the path panel, and right-mouse click the path shape to create a selection based on that shape. The Paths panel menu also allows you to create work paths based on that shape.
Unfortunately when you try to move the handles the black thin outline appears again until you release the mouse button.
This is one of several things that works better in Photoline: in Photoline, once the path is set to a specific colour, editing the path uses the actual colour and stroke width. which is extremely handy for creating path based selection with awkward background colours and/or a high resolution screen. In Photoline the handles and bezier points are also much, much larger, which makes it rather simpler to work with as well - especially on a higher resolution screen. And when selected the handles and points are a clear red with a black outline - again easier to spot and identify. I just works better, in my opinion.

PDF Documents with Functional Buttons - Works for IE and FireFox but not for Chrome and Safari

Good morning. Our institution developed a PDF document with functional buttons for printing and e-mailing. When the document is viewed via Internet Explorer and Firefox, the functional buttons work as expected. However if the document is viewed via Chrome and Safari, the functional buttons do not work. The workaround for those who are using Chrome and Safari, the PDF document needs to be saved to their local drive before the functional buttons work.
Has anyone experienced this issue before? If yes, what was your solution other than the workaround.

In Firefox 3.6.17,why don't the tab buttons work?

I've tried left and right click to gain access to new tab, but they do not work. I know they work in a later version, 4, but with version 4 I experience a lot of "freezing up".

I didn't have the plain Ask toolbar, as I have refused it whenever it was offered. However, I updated Foxit reader yesterday, and noticed it was included, but couldn't see any way to not install it with the upgrade. So when my New Tab button didn't work, and I read here that Ask was probably the problem, I went and found the Foxit Toolbar and got rid of it. That worked a treat, and my button works again. Planning Adhoc works differently than HFM Adhoc ?

We have Hyperion Planning v11.1.2.2.300 and HFM v11.1.2.2.x installed.
Smartview version is v11.1.2.5.200 (Build 174).
It looks like Adhoc behaves differently depending on whether we are using HFM or Planning but we are unsure if this is intentional or a bug (I think its a bug or, God forbid, we do something wrong!).
Example for HFM:
Row: Entity
Column B1 - Version (Working)
Column B2 - Scenario (Budget)
Column B3 - Year (FY13)
Column B4 - Period (Jan)
In Column C3 we insert Year = FY14
Press refresh and column C1, C2, and C4 is filled with the contents of the equivelant B cell,
If we do the same for planning then we get an error "Member FY14 is out of place" !!???
This applies to anything we insert in cell C1 to C3.
If we insert a value in C4, ie Period = Feb, and press refresh then it works and C1 to C3 is filled with the equivalent values from B !?
Why oh why ?!

It is not a bug. The different providers work differently. In Planning it get rid of the repeated members, you would select on the options->data tab suppress repeated members.

I saw another thread on the matter but thought I would post because the circumstances are different. Here is how it happened.
I have had an Apple Store account for years and until recently our family has only had our one Mac and my iPhone 4. Thus any purchases we have made on the Apple App Store were made only with this account.
We recently purchased two iPhone 5S's--one for my wife and one for my daughter. Neither had Apple IDs so first we set up my wife's iPhone and created an Apple ID for her. Next we used the Family Sharing feature to set up an account for our "under age 13" daughter.
Because I am still waiting for my iPhone 6 Plus to arrive, and because the iPhone 4 cannot upgrade to iOS 8, and because my Apple ID is the only account with any apps that have been purchased in prior years, I set up my wife as the Family Organizer but when I set up her account, I chose the option to "share purchases from a different account" and entered the information for my Apple ID.
My daughter is able to view my prior purchases on her iPhone, but when my wife tries to view my prior purchases, she receives the message "This iTunes account is set up to use Family Sharing with a different iCloud account than <her Apple ID>."
I hope Apple is reading this. I would be more than willing to help them on this one as this feature is one of the main reasons I put our family on iPhones.

I had this problem. I finally figured it out yesterday. Try this:
On the device that is having trouble seeing purchases, go to Settings>iCloud>Family Sharing> Then tap on the user of the device you are on. Under "Family Purchases" make sure it has the AppleID of the person for that device. Mine originally had my husbands AppleID in there (he is the Organizer), but I changed it to mine. That doesn't make it so that the purchases are under me. The purchases remained under my husband, but my ID had to be in this spot for it to work.
After that, I closed settings, then I went to Settings>iTunes and App Store> click on the AppleID and Sign Out, even if it has the right AppleID in there. Then Sign In again using the AppleID of the person on that device. Again-- even if it has the right ID in there to start, still sign out and back in.
See if they show up. If they don't show up still, try doing a restart (hold down power button and home button until it restarts).
They should show up by then, but if they don't, at that point, try to go into iCloud and Sign Out and back in.
I think the key is having the right ID in "Family Purchases". I hope this works for you.

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.

Please try again.” I then tried logging in by clicking the Adobe ID, added the (my original behance email address) with my password I used on the original Behance account. The Adobe ID asked my birthdate and it seemed to work. Not sure how it worked, but thanks.

Start over. When you use Photoshop or any other graphics editor to generate your HTML code, you're asking for trouble. The code is too rigid and fragile for anything more than quick prototypes.
Use graphics apps to create images only. Use DW to build your HTML and CSS code.

Help!! Buttons with different actions on IPAD

Why is in Ipad a button with different actions does not respond to these actions at the same time, but one at a time? In Android works fine!!
What is happening is that in ipad I have to touch more than once on the button to go to the different actions that this button has!
Help...

thanks for the quick response. I think mine Adobe Content Viewer is the last update, from February 21, so the problem is not due to this.
II'll explain the situation better, i have several identical situations. For example, I have a square that hides an image and I want that when you tap this square this image appears behind him, then i did the following: I selected at first the square and the image and transformed a multi- State Object, in which the first state is the box (State1) and the second is the image (state 2) then made a transparent button on top of this square and it gave the following actions - on release go to state 2 (image) here everything goes well, the problem is that as I have more buttons / squares that do the same and show different images, that when I turned the other one the next hide her image. So all the buttons in addition to the state that shows the picture / object matching (state 2) - i have also- go to state (name of the object: state 1) causes other squares hide their files, as they get the state 1. Here lies the problem, in ipad these actions do not react automatically but in different touches, it seems that it reads a touch for action and not all at once.
I apologize for my English but I'm Portuguese, I hope you can understand everything explained.
