C4385 printer/customer service

I spent an hour and fifteen minutes on the phone with customer service about why my wireless printer did not work and was promised a return call from a supervisor to resolve the problem.  I did not get a return call and the printer that I had for about 6 months still doesnt work. It will not even copy. There solution was to buy more ink and try again.  I told them that it has never worked and the first time i called  hem i got this message on all Lethe things that I needed to try before  i contacted a tech.  I was offered a refurbished printer for one-hundred-forty-nine-dollars with a fifty dollar rebate in seven to ten business days by one agent and i would have taken it except the other agent decided i needed to buy more ink to try again.  I was really not happy have been a  hp customer for many ,  many years and I have resolved never to be a customer  with ink and a two  year  warrenty all for one- hundred- and fifty nine dollars with tax and used it today  because I needed it today.

  • Terrible Printer! Terrible Customer Service!

I purchased a HP Photomsart printer not even 2 years ago, and now my printer is constantly failing to print black. I have changed, per HP's instruction, and wasted black ink cartridges, and manually cleaned the tray. However, whenever I call, all I hear "you're out of warrenty," and "what did you do to cause this problem?" Really? Why is this MY problem? Every customer servicer representative , who has been male, has talked to me like I'm an ignorant woman who can't work a printer. There is NO excuse for after only two years for my black ink to stop working and the print quality to be junk when my printer is not abused and used maybe 2 to 3 times a week, if that. Then to speak to me and blame me for the problem in such a disrepectful manner is completely unacceptable!
I can promise that this will be the LAST HP product I will ever purchase! Tread lightly for those of you who continue to buy for them.

    Hi Sara108,
Do you still have the printer? If you still have it, please check to see if you have completed all of the steps in the following document; Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages.
Although I hope this resolves the issue, it might not. If the issue persists, please post back with your warranty status. Use the following link to check your warranty.
If your printer is still in warranty, please call HP and explain the issue you are experiencing. The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
If your printer is out of warranty, let me know and I will do my best to help. Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.

  • Email for Customer Service for B210A Printer

I have tried to enter my serial # and product # to no avail to get an email address for customer sevice.  Can someone just give me an email address for this printer that I purchased on Sunday?

phone number for an HP web printer?  I just bought a 5520 all in one web/photo printer and after getting apps printed daily that I did not order (or didn't know were added) using up ink daily, freely printing on my printer, after three days and I cannot count the hours trying to resolve this issue, I would say the telephone number for Customer Service, or email address should be: (555) DON't EVER BUY HP PRINTER AGAIN.    If I cannot get a human to answer or take care of this problem, my printer will go out on the roadside with a great big sign on what is left of the "parts" with the same message, and I will put a bumper sticker on my Camry, too!!!!     Worst service for probem solving ever!!!!!!!  Les1ie

  • Bad customer service for my printer

Today, I called HP customer service for an ink failure issue of my printer. I knew that the printer had out of warranty so I want to ask question how to reset the printer. But the customer service representative told me that I am a valued customer so he will assist my problem over the phone fully without any charges. I really appreciated two attempts (Cleaning, Power reset) and he would give me two options of my problem.
Those were basically replacement plans that were $30-$60 less than the new one. Of course, those plans are for the manufactured reconditioned with extra sets of ink cartridges and 2 years warranty if I pay another $1. I couldn’t accept this offer at that time because I need to discuss with my wife, but instead I asked customer representative to call me on later tonight. The customer representative supposed to call me later tonight, but I didn’t get any phone call from HP, so I called HP and I was really surprised how HP change their words. I argued around 2 hrs with switching my phone call to 4 different person, and a lot of waiting time, asking that I got offered. I knew that HP would record all the conversation and never response me about this.
Finally, I found that HP offered me scratched and cosmetic wear printer with guaranteed working. The hardware supervisor gave me this offer and made sure that I am aware of that by reading conditions of printer. Later, I asked for the return policy, and she give me 3 business days. Who is going to buy a $50 less priced printer with a lot of scratches? I know that another sets of ink cartridges will worth to have this offer, but I didn’t because I will disappoint when I first saw the product.
I totally disappointed of customer service how HP changes their offers and words, resulting me wasted more than five hours, including convincing my wife. I regret that I bought so many HP products (computers, printers, and tablets) I will never buy HP products, and I will not recommend HP products because of worst customer service.

  • Does customer service exist for printing books

I placed my order a week ago and never received a confirmation email. The order also did not show up under my account. I waited a couple of days and then placed the order again. I sent customer service and email saying that I did not want duplicate books purchased. I emailed both customer service and cancellations/refunds for the next 5 days and never received a response. Now the orders are showing up and both are marked as shipped.

  • Very fed up with Verizon Wireless customer service, wanting to cancel?

Let me start by saying I've had Verizon since it was Bell Atlantic Mobile.  As a current customer I have 7 phones and a hotspot, my monthly billing is somewhere in the neighborhood of $600 a month, my service has never been turned off for non payment.  I know in today's wireless this doesn't make me a special customer, if anything just a good customer to have if you are lucky enough to have me.
I only call into Verizon customer service when I need something.  Not want, not to complain, only need something.  Lets give some examples.  I received a $3,000 bill in the mail that had a ton of international LD charges on it.  So I call into Verizon because me nor my wife knows anyone in the Caribbean.  Not one to jump to judgement I politely called my wife first and asked if maybe she had a pool boy that went home to S. America that she was keeping in touch with, she assured me that she did not so then I called VZW.  It ended up being fraudulent activity that I spent a good deal of a day or so ensuring they were going to credit it off, and to VZ credit they did.  As annoying as that it, I understand that it happens.  Lets rewind to my previous phone call a month before this happen.
I added my wife to my plan, and my rate actually remained the same with the new plan (we won't complained that obviously that means I was over-billed for maybe two to three years if I can add a line and the rate is the same) so I was happy.  What I wasn't happy about was when I added her onto my plan I saw my upgrade date had been moved from 22 mo (which is what I agreed too, signed for, and used too) to the full 24 mo.  Calling into VZ customer service I just wanted what was fair, the ability to upgrade at 22 mo.  After being told no, hung up on by a supervisor (accidentally I'm sure) while they "researched" my current, 7 line $500 a mo account, and then calling in a finally getting someone who gave a rip, they told me I would manually be allowed to upgrade but I would just have to call into customer service and not go into a store.  To me this was fair, but again a good hour wasted trying to receive what I deemed fair to myself.
So, ff to after the $3k bill, which occurred after seeing my upgrade date changed, while my pregnant wife is out, and I'm at work I attempt to call her and I receive a fast busy on my cell.  I message her, same thing.  I log into my online account to see if I have forgotten to pay the bill and its paid, however I see my two devices has been changed from my i phones to some old Samsung phones.  Unfrigginbelievable.  Some one, some how, has swapped my phones with someone else phones.  Once again I check with my other lines to see if something happened accidentally, I was almost sure one of my sisters (one of the 7 lines) had went into a store and screwed up the account.  I called both (I own an ATT iphone as well) and neither has changed anything.  I then called VZ from my ATT phone and ask them WTH happened?  Being a former telecommunications rep I ask all the relevant questions (can you give me a location id where the change was made?  Was it online or a store? etc), after being blamed of changing it myself, I finally got my original phones turned back on for my wife and I.  However I then address the obvious with the representative, "honey your customer accounts are being hacked, and it's serious, I've been hit twice in three months."  Knowing this rep is on the bottom rung, will probably mention it to her supervisor who won't do anything about it, I also forward a suspicious text to VZ fraud dept as well.  While on the phone Im assure this won't happen again and for "safety and security" we changed my verification password.
So lets count, we have my account hacked once and my phones swapped, we have my numbers hacked and used for LD calls to the tune of $3k, and we have me adding a line and seeing my upgrade date has changed.  This is from July to DEC 2013
FF to 2014 Jan, my father is concern about his hotspot usage and would like to know why he keeps coming close to usage.  After explaining to my dad he shouldn't be using his ipad to view anything on NFLX he assures me he is not.  So I call in to verify what line is using up all the data usage on the account, when asked to verify my code, you know that code we assuredly had changed a few months earlier, Im told I need to go into a store and show ID.  Not sure about everyone else but I don't really like near a corporate VZ store, and secondly I can verify my SS, address on both accounts, all MTN's, when the phones were activated etc.  Yeah I just don't have the verification code that you guys supposedly changed after I requested a specific code since my account has been HACKED 2x in 6 mo.  Oh yeah, ALL I WANT IS USAGE ON MY ACCOUNT to see who's hogging the data.  Sigh.  After reasoning with the representative (and threatening to take the day off to escalate this up to the call center director if I need to so I can find out who is using up the most data) he gives me this information, and finally corrects my pass code.  I apologized to the rep because I know he's just doing his job, but at this point every time I need something simple from VZ it's an act of congress.
So lets go to what is the final straw for me, my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world on Feb 7th.  On the day we took him home it was raining pretty bad and her phone dropped and basically became water damage, once I had time to call in I was simply going to upgrade my line (remember that promise to upgrade manually if I call customer service) and switch my phone to hers.  Well I call in an after not finding the note (on hold 15 mins, then once the nice young lady came on line she had me on hold for maybe another 5, and her advising me of all she couldn't do), they finally locate the note that I am allowed to upgrade and bill my phone to my account EXCEPT an iphone.  Not to sound like a pretentious apple whore but everything I use is aapl.  Two laptops, one desktop, 3 iphones, 2 ipads, 2 ipods and a partridge in a iphone tree.  Yeah Im that guy.  At this point I tell her (VZ customer service rep) of my last 6 mo. with VZ and at this point, Im beyond frustrated.  My wife needs a phone and Im supposedly allowed to upgrade yet again VZ is telling me what they can't do.  Im not asking for a free phone, I just wanted to pay for a 64gb, iphone 5s, and switch my existing phone over to my wife number.
I ask the representative to just take ownership of this, I cannot spend hours on the phone with VZ every time I call in.  At this point I wanted one of two things, either allow me to upgrade my phone line or just zero out the contracts on these two lines and allow me to leave.  I have been more than patient and understanding with VZ.  At this point I believe any rational objective person can agree,  VZ and I need to break up at this point. Even the representative is in a bit of disbelief, she assures me she or someone will call me last night.
Well now it's today.  Ball is in your court VZ.  Im a good day away from buying the domain, www.VerizonETFclassaction.com, tweeting it at you, making it a comment page until some ambulance chasing attorney decides to make it a class action case.  I couldn't care less about the money as much as Im demanding FAIR customer service to customers like myself that dealing with your nonchalant bullying.  So I ask you, what do you think is fair at this point?  Contact me directly.  Thanks.

Well that's several minutes of my life reading this long post that I'll never get back....
I'll explain somethings to you. 1...This is not a direct message board to a vzw rep or higher who will read your post. 2. Yes, although things that happened to you are unfortunate, YOU have to take ownership of your account. Verizon does not babysit accounts. 3. Also due to high cases of fraud vzw does not allow I phones to billed to consumer (and possibly business) accounts. I never understood why cell phone carriers allowed phones to be billed to the account anyway. If you want or need the phone that bad pay for it like any other customer. If you can't do that and want to "break up" over it, be my guest. However any lines still under contract will be subject to a valid etf owed by yourself. 4. It was well publicized that upgrade dates would be changed going forward from date of said announcement. This was in bill notifications and print media. It's not Verizon fault that you may not receive a paper bill however if you log in your account you can regular see notifications.
congrats on the baby, sorry for the wet phone (again not a vzw issue)
    See a pattern here?

  • Is there another provider with good Customer Service and good Coverage over Oxford, Main?

    Hi,
    Reason
I am from UK and am trying to find out how best to sign on to a US mobile network and one with the appropriate coverage, as I will be in New England for 3 months, 2 of that around Oxford, Maine. I have joined this forum just hoping for more helpful advice having experienced a very poor Sales & Customer support via both the Web Chat and Phone medium.
    Poor WebChat Support
Earlier whilst finding from the website the network coverage claims by Verizon over the Oxford area, I took up the WebChat support that popped up. The first Chat agent advised Verizon don't do PAYG! Have disappointedly signed off, I reasoned to myself that can't be as there was an option to select Prepaid coverage on the Verizon interactive map! So I persevered with exploring the Verizon website and found a whole section on Prepaid, with a even a dedicated WebChat button on the page. So realising it must have been a terminology misunderstanding, I clicked on the WebChat request to try to ask for any pre-requisites, as when I was last in Canada (Ottawa) to buy a SIM, evidently it is not common to sell PrePaid in Canada. It was over an hour to get one sorted because of all sort of procedures. The second Chat agent at least admit he didn't know what is PAYG- then even when I spelt it out he only understood it as another term for Prepaid- then advised he can't help me (even though I later found out it is even the actual name of one of your number of Prepaid Plans available!)! Instead he informed I best call Customer Support on 9085594899 despite reminding him I am in the UK. When I asked about hours of service and the time difference (being at 17:00 hrs in the UK) - he told me not to worry as it's 24 hours support!
    Poor Phone Support
The number given turned out to be only for Roaming and Mobile data support only! The first option requiring a registered number which obviously I don't have, so selecting the second the call just got cut-off eventually after ringing on unanswered! Frustrated I found via the Contact Us link the supposedly 24 hours number for Pre-paid Customers 8882946804. After finding the one option to speak to an agent without having to key in a registered mobile number first (I think Credit Card payment), again the call just got cut-off eventually after ringing on unanswered. Then thought may be best try the Consumer Sales line 08002564646 given on the page, and it finally got answered but turns out to be for Business account only (which is a different number according to the webpage!) At least the Business Account agent heard my problem and agreed to stay online until she successfully transfer me to a Prepaid agent. The Prepaid agent on the otherhand couldn't be less helpful. Completely ignored my query on any pre-requistes to sign on any Prepaid plans just wanted to know which Prepaid plans I was interested in and then just rolled off the tariffs for the plan I happened to mention and wanted to get me off the phone. I had to ask her again for any other common requirements - she just say I pay for the tariff plan! No interest to talk me through the process.
Extra item only identified on FORUM under a topic "pay as you go activation fee?"
Yet with such poor assisstance from the formal sales/customer service that I thought to try to search for better awareness within the Forum.  To my surprise it was only here I learn of  an activation fee to add to any Prepaid plan irrespective of Phone in Box or Customer own Device! As explained by AyaniB_VZW .
Whereupon I gone back to the Verizon Wireless website on Prepaid plans and below is all that it has summarised with the relevant words highlighted in RED by me- NO mention of Activation Fee. Where will I find this activation fee identified on the Prepaid plans pages rather 'hidden' behind small print/ T&C link? As it seems Verizon has good coverage and range of Prepaid options - but inadvisable to incurr any issues or queries after taking up the service.
    "Prepaid Plan
    Get Freedom & Flexibility
The wireless service you want. No annual contract. Join over 5 million prepaid wireless users on America’s most reliable wireless network with no credit check, no hidden fees or charges and no bills.
    How it works:
Simply pay up front to enjoy unlimited talk, text and a prepaid data plan on your 3G smartphone. If you go over your data allowance, pay just 5¢ per megabyte."
Where did I miss the activation fee term when signing onto PrePaid Plan on the Verizon Wireless site?

  • Bought new, discovered it was tampered with or refurbished, now at a loss with horrible customer service and dead phone

I'm wondering where to go after 2 weeks playing CS phone tag, started with a tech call reguarding Iphone 5, battery issue, tech ran test, batt is consumed, went thru warranty talk then to Apple, as to our surprise once the serial number was ran , I purchased a bran new refurbished and battery previously swapped out phone thru our corporate Ver store, warranty is invalid and new batt was 80$, Apple tech was shocked... I let that settle for a few days, and began the worst ordeal and crap show of customer service since, I've made numerous calls, 1st being with christopher, whom claimed he talked with his supervisor and I was patient, talked about that they wouldn't swap battery, but replace phone with a refurb phone, contract is up 2/03/2015 , exlplained it would be less hassle and givin the time frame to renew contract and do the upgrade now, pay the upgrade cost and whatever, we are good customers , never file claims, or issues with contracts, seems simples, I've now talked to approx 5 supervisors from ID, ky, al and whom have alllllll confrimed they have taken notes, processed requests and will call back in such time, as of 4pm dec 7th I am no where fast, contract can not be upgraded, one supervisor claimed they where no longer making the iPhone 5? And would allow for a upgrade once she talked to tech service, however a magical cold transfer and 40 more minutes of retelling this insaine story, he was then going call back on a dif number so the issue ph could be used, never got the call, however Matt in ID WHO claimed such sympathy for all the hassle then texted me saying he couldn't get thru on my number, however could text, and by a tech texting myself , such poor grammar and then stating we could only have the 5 and 6+ 's are on back order. Beyond fed up and stressed, almost 6 hours on the phone and 10 days of hassle , yet we still have a phone that dies at 70% ....I've never seen such a lack of responsibly or communication , seems supervisors are really good at making statements to appease each situation with out any documentation . Can't bring myself to call again and go thru the issue over and over again, meanwhile getting same responses (excuses) from every area I've spoke to. Guess now when I purchase Verizon items I call good Ol Apple and run the serial numbers to make sure the fancy kindalooksnewplastic isn't the 2nd re wrap and buy a phone that's been tampered with and makes your monthly insurance and warrantys invalid . Money well spent kudos CS ...and no I'm not hunting down anyone via Twitter , I'm sure there's notes on our account that this crazy person is out of patience and trying to see what other cell company we could change to . Merry Christmas

To clarify , we haven't serviced nor replaced the consumed battery . It has been noted as per Apple running the serial number that PRIOR to my purchasing the device, it had the battery replaced. Undocumented in detail, but showed up in Apple reports as replaced. Therefor creates a much wider issue than consumed battery issue, now we have the fact that 1. I paid for a new iPhone 5 16g with a renewed 2 yr contract, pay monthly for insurance on the device, however being that it has been worked on, that voided the 1 yr warranty and possibly the extended insurance program warranty as well, my corperate store can't handle this issue, given the extent of details, I stopped there today, to double check my receipt for original purchase to see if there was a CPO listed on my receipt, that is when they informed me they didn't acttially sell them there, nor if I did I wouldn't have paid full contract price either. More details, more time wasted on Verizon, knowing you all won't read the "fine" print.

  • My experience in Toshibas product and customer services

Just a warning to people who may be considering purchasing a Qosmio based on my own experiences and the research I have done in the last week.
Toshibas customer service is simply not what it once was and there are 100s of reports of Qosmios of all generations suffering extreme issues just outside of warranty periods.
Ref: Toshiba Qosmio X500-149, Support call reference ********
I am writing to express my frustration, anger and disappointment in Toshibas product and customer services.
I am a Freelance Community Manager, Video Game and hardware reviewer in the video games industry presently looking after 2 communities for 2 employers totalling over 2.5m users, I travel to a lot of trade shows, expos and community meet and greets where I require a laptop suitable of showing the employers products which are usually AAA video games or editing video on the fly for publication to social networking sites.
In January of 2011 my 4 year old Alienware hit that point where it really needed replaced, I opted for a Toshiba Qosmio over the Asus G73 as there was a 300 price difference for near identical spec.
I managed to source a X500-149 at PCWorld the companies flagship model here in the UK paying 1499 for it on January 26th 2011 reduced from 1799.
For the 1st 13 month this laptop performed admirably aside a design issue of the fan guards that I raised on the 16th May 2011 with PCWorld where the heat expelled causes the rear guard plastics to become exceptionally brittle and crack. I evangelised the product to anyone who asked me what laptop and model it was that was running these AAA games in such great detail, something I certainly won't be doing in future.
In early March 2012 it then began randomly locking up requiring a hard reboot this would then suffer issues restarting, reporting Operating system could not be found this would usually point to a fault on the primary HD, disk checking software however reported no errors but this continued to happen which would lead me to suspect the motherboard.
Within a month of this problem starting the left laptop fan began making a horrible screeching noise and had a distinct wobble whenever high RPM's were required and the machine began to often go into thermal shut-down whilst performing my work duties and utilising graphics and higher than idle CPU.
I decided on the 23rd April 2012 that enough was enough and I was going to speak to Toshiba as for this to happen to a flagship laptop that was only just out of warranty was simply unacceptable.
23rd April called to report the issue and was basically told tough luck its out of warranty at this point I also updated my tel numbers with Toshiba as the info was outdated, after expressing my anger at this Toshiba agreed to offer me a extended warranty at a cost of 166.
I was fuming to say the least Toshibas flagship laptop breaks at 14 month old and I am expected to stump up more money. If I was not desperate as the machine is critical to my work I would have returned the machine to PCWorld under the sales of goods act and it not being fit for purpose.
As that course of action would likely lead to legal proceedings, engineer reports and even more delay than just dealing with Toshiba for a repair, against my better judgement I called back at 11am on 24th April paid the 166 and took Toshiba up on the warranty extension, order number ********** again having to provide correct tel numbers as where once again incorrect, immediately after I reported the faults.
Toshiba Support centre on fault reporting where great noting each issue in detail and raised a collection with UPS for the following day.
The evening of the 24th April whilst I was retrieving data from the laptop in preparation for factory resetting it the machine went into thermal shut-down with a very distinct smell of burning chemical/plastic coming from the rear vents.
It took me over 90 minutes to get the machine cool enough to actually reboot and get my data after this I shut it back down and boxed it up not be used again.
I thought the best course of action would be to report this as it was a fair step up from the previous overheating. Wednesday 25th April at around 9am I called Toshiba to report this and was advised this would have to be dealt with by a head office case manager, as the item had become hazardous thus the collection that would take the laptop to the service centre was cancelled.
At this stage the advisor took my contact numbers again and escalated the case to head office advising at that time that I would be called by HO within 24 hrs.
Thursday 26th April 15:31 Well past the 24 hr mark and no sign of a call so I called support again and spoke to a advisor called Jacob. Jacob advise that HO had indeed tried calling on 01670 ******* this number was my old number, this number was the number I had advised twice already was incorrect and had provided both a correct land-line and mobile number 3 times previously. To say I was annoyed was a understatement.
Jacob attempted to contact Chloe Sontag who was looking after my case but the line just rang out so Jacob advised that he had sent an email asking for Chloe to contact myself.
Friday came and still no contact by 15:00 so I called support who once again tried to patch me to Chloe who's number once again just rang out and again an email was sent asking to call me.
No call by 17:30 so I called tech support again and spoke to Ian asking for head offices number so I could call them direct, Ian provided the number yet advised that HO are now closed.
After expressing my frustration with this whole process and just how critical this machine is to my daily working life Ian promised to look into the case on Monday AM and try and expedite actually getting a phone call to at least start the process of having this laptop repaired.
To say I'm annoyed is really a understatement not only has this failure to receive a simple phone call at least delayed the repair by almost a week but it is costing me more and money daily when I spent a large amount on what I imagined would be a great laptop for 3-4 years and believed Toshiba actually had good customer service in the event something did happen.
My best guess is that Chloe is on holiday or is part time or such like as her phone just rings out and if that is the case then I would question why assign a case to her, if she isn't then I would want to know why after 2 additional mails advising that the customer is not happy and to contact them has there been no contact or are your case workers just so overworked with faulty products that they can't manage the workload ??
So far Toshibas inability to produce a product that last as long as you expect it would has cost me 2 days off work that I am having to make up this weekend thus cancelling prior commitments, 166 extended warranty 600 for a HP laptop that I had to go and purchase yesterday 27th April 2012 to actually perform my work on and who knows how much in phone calls by the time this matter will finally be resolved.
I was happy with Toshiba as a manufacturer and of course laptops can have issues however having now researched these issues far to many Qosmio X500 users report severe overheating just after the 12 month period or within it and many state that repair after repair has taken place but still to no avail, this on top of the cracking of the rear heat-sink guards has to be a design fault.
This letter will not arrive with you before I have hopefully had a phone call and my laptop has at least been collected for repair, If I have not had that phone call then I would expect another letter very shortly.
Why have I wrote this letter ? To express my disappointment with just how poor the durability of your flagship laptop is and also at just how poor your customer service are, 1500 is a lot of money in the PC purchasing scheme of things and to expect this quality of hardware and customer service is simply unacceptable.
I expect the repair to be expedited and if like some of the horror storys I have read online parts required will take 4 weeks + then I would expect a replacement laptop, not everyone uses these things for entertainment and whilst the HP I had to rush out and buy with money I didn't really have available can allow me to perform my core duties to the minimum it cannot allow me to perform my duties to my standards, my employers standards or my expectant communities standards.
This has been a really unfortunate series of events as I had been considering the X870 Ivy Bridge based on the Nvidia 670m Qosmio which would release soon and passing this X500 onto my partner but after these events and the fact that the HP laptop had to come out of the money saved for it then I can categorically state that will not be the case and I will instead opt for the Asus G55 or G75.
If this issue cannot be resolved to a satisfactory manner then I will have no option but to seek an independent engineers report as well as printing the myriad of similar reports of these issues on the internet and return the item to PCWorld.
In line with the sale of goods act 1979 a large electrical item has to be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose for a period of 6 years whilst I wouldn't expect the full 6 years from a laptop I would expect at least 3-4 year especially considering that this is a near 2000 flagship model not a 200 budget model.
This is a action I really do not want to take as it will likely end in small claims court against PCWorld a company that on this occasion has done nothing wrong, I do not believe in punishing those who are not at fault so its a action I really wouldn't be happy with and I'm sure PCWorld one of if not the largest vendor of Toshiba products when you incorporate the rest of the DSG group wouldn't be too pleased with it either.
    Frustratingly

So I received my laptop back today after having fans replaced and a good clean as well as the top cover replaced.
Opened the box and took the laptop out 1st thing I noticed was a screw rattling around inside, SIGH!!!!
Plugged the laptop in and attempted to boot it at this point it just cycle through finalisation of windows install and shutdown.
How could a laptop have been tested if it didn't even have windows installed ?
An hour later and I gave up unplugged it and lo and behold it actually booted when on battery only.
I then noticed that the SSD was full, oh wait no it wasn't the head office engineer in his infinite wisdom decided that partitioning a 64GB SSD to 2 drives barely even leaving enough for Windows on the C: and wait for it putting the HDD recovery on the second partition was a good course of action.
So a completely borked install and a screw floating around inside remind me how this particular engineer has a job ??
I spent the next 15 minutes just moving data around and creating and deleting partiitions to fix this mess up.
Grabbed HWMonitor to check temps and at an idle 50c on CPU and 36c on GPU they didn't look too bad,
Installed the Toshiba recommended Nvidia driver a driver I hasten to add that was released in 2010 as Toshiba have not updated the drivers for their flagship series laptop since then, They are happy to take your 1643 that the unit cost but then don't expect support for it.
Anyway that aside I then installed 1 of the games I work on and began to run the machine through our benchmark software wooooosh the temps shot up to 90c+ on both CPU and GPU and remained at this temp for the duration of the benchmark never quite triggering thermal shutdown, I then loaded into a warzone for further testing and sure enough half way through it the machine shut down due to thermal shutdown.
I then uninstalled the toshiba driver and tried a NVidia one sure enough as others have advised actual Nvidia drivers seem worse and thermal shutdown came so much earlier.
I have been to PCWorld today to begin proceedings of returning outside of warranty due to not being fit for purpose or of suitable quality. This is costing me a further 60 and at least 2 weeks more without a proper machine and will likely result in me getting about 1300 back from PCWorld.
So lets do the math on just what this will have cost me by the time its finished.
    1634 Original purchase
    166 Extended Warranty
600 Backup Laptop whilst this was away for a month
    60 outside of warranty assessment
    50 phone calls
I will probably receive 1300 back but then 1300 doenst buy me the spec I need for work so I will have to pull out another 300-400 for the required spec so lets add that to the original figures.
A Toshiba Qosmio, Toshibas flagship laptop will have cost me in total 2910 almost double its actual retail price.
I will NEVER buy a Toshiba product again and it will become my lifes mission to let everyone know just how terrible they are.

  • What a dumb customer service!!!! and where the heck is my payment?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so furious right now to the point my whole body is shaking and I feel dizzy!
I've been mailing out the check for $55 every month on 1st or 2nd of each month for past 2, 3 years now.
I don't get statements in mail, so I typed one page with the accountholder's name, address, account number and payment address. This check for $55 is issued by my work, so what I do every month is that as soon as I receive the check, I print out this little page with all the information, I staple the check to the page and mail out to the payment address listed under Contact Us on Verizon wireless website.
My due date is 21st of each month. As I mentioned above, I mail out the check either on 1st or 2nd of each month, which means the check should be arrived, processed, cleared from the bank, and credited to my account before my due date.
I don't have the entire record, but I can see the payment history for past 12 month from my verizon wireless online and this check for $55, although I've been mailng out on a very regular basis, it has been posted to my account very irregularly.
Sometimes, it gets credited to my account before the 10th. Sometimes, it gets credited sometime before my due date. Sometimes, it gets credited way after my  due date. Sometimes, it gets cleared from the bank, but doesn't even get credited to my account. Every month, I have to closely monitor whether this month's check has been cleared and credited for this account.
If this happens to many accountholders, I would not be this frustrated.
I have a coworker who gets the same check from the work and mail out on the same day to VERIZON WIRELESS. Okay? Mark this. Same amount of check issued by the same bank goes to the same payment address by mail (same postal service). Difference? Her due date is 11th and mine is 21st. Another difference? Her payment gets credited in few days and well before her due date. Mine takes forever and ever and sometimes lands on a wrong account.
I called the customer service today to see where my check is and why it has not been cleared yet. The customer service, Jose, was so rude and raising his voice saying that it might have been the post office at fault. And then, he was asking if I wrote a wrong address or anything. Hello~ I TYPED the freaking payment address and my account number and saved in my computer. You've been getting my check with no problem for the past 2, 3 years now, so I'M SO SURE THAT IT'S NOT THE POST OFFICE WHO'S AT FAULT!!!! On top of it, I'm not calling to figure out whom to blame.
Then, I talked to the supervisor, Eric. Hey, if you are the supervisor, you should be able to give me more than the same lame lines that JOSE was giving me.  Don't say that I've been mailing my check to the lockbox and you don't have the contact number. I've been sending my check to the freaking lousy lockbox and so have my coworker. She doesn't have the same problem that I have. Even if the lockbox doesn't have the contact number and a live person in, there is the department in which they process the payment, right? You should contact them to figure something out! You should provide a CUSTOMER SERVICE. What part of CUSTOMER SERVICE don't you get as a SUPERVISOR? I am YOUR CUSTOMER! and I, the CUSTOMER, hereby request a  SERVICE that I am entitled to!
What did you just say? SUPPRESSING the late charges? Hey, Eric, Look!. I  mailed out the check on 1st of August! I'm sure it doesn't take more than three days to be delivered from Los Angeles to Dallas. When I mailed out the check even before you generated my bill, how dare you to even mention the LATE CHARGE? It is NOT my ****** problem that you have a lousy system to process the check. You better fix the **bleep** problem.
You'd better keep your word and call me back with answers to all the questions (about irregular postings to my account, what's been causing the delay, etc) by TUESDAY.
What? Suppressing the late charges is all you can do for me? I just wasted my 40 minutes holding the call, and not getting all the answers I wanted, and dealing with non-sense ridiculous customer service and that's all you can do? You should waive my payment. You should give me like 1000 min credit.
I've been using the Verizon Wireless for almost 5 years and I'm seriously disappointed at the level of customer service you provided and the way you are handling this matter and not providing a good reason why you are messing up with my payment.

I can understand that the situation is infuriating, but the anger is misplaced. To start, it is very bad practice to not have a direct way to view whether the check you are sending had been cashed. While it gives the appearance of being convenient, you are setting yourself up for a nightmare when you do not, first, deposit the funds and issue your own method of payment. Secondly, the fact that it was not applied to the account does not necessarily mean that Verizon Wireless is at fault. You cannot determine this absolutely until you confirm that the check had been cashed by VZW, which, again, is going to be difficult to impossible because you are sending a check from a third party. The likelihood that it was lost in the mail should not seem shockingly preposterous. Matter of fact, people use this excuse because it is a very plausible scenario. It is essential to know whether the check was cashed by VZW, if it was, then they can go through the steps to find it; if, however, it was not, then it is something you will want to get reissued.
My advice is to follow the approach listed above, but, more so, eliminate the overly emotional reactions so that the matter can be addressed in a logical way.

  • Where do I complain about Indian iPhone customer service?

I really don't know where I'm supposed to complain the handling of customer service in India.
Let me explain the situation and perhaps someone can send me to the right place.
My housemate's sister bought an official Vodafone iPhone 3G in August. Last week, it stopped working. No Service, no matter the SIM card. I told her to give it to me for a couple days, let me update the firmware and see if that doesn't fix it.
It didn't fix it. Clearly a hardware problem. Never hacked or anything. Just stopped working, flat out.
So, she took it to the place that she bought it from. She no longer has the receipt, so they wouldn't help her. It's CLEARLY an iPhone 3G, so it's CLEARLY under warranty (since the phone came out less than a year ago). But, still, they told her to go to Vodaphone and have them repair it or replace it.
Vodaphone, wouldn't budge without the receipt, even though it's CLEARLY a Vodaphone iPhone and, again, CLEARLY less than a year old (and, therefore, still under warranty).
So, I called Apple support, the number printed on the iPhone box. They directed me to another number, which nobody answered. I called the first number back; they gave me a third number which didn't work at all. I called them again and they gave me AppleCare's number.
Now, I thought, we're finally getting somewhere. Apple will surely be able to rectify this.
"Press 1 for iPod, Press 2 for iPhone." I pressed 2. I got a message saying "Please contact your service provider for iPhone support" and promptly hung up on me.
So, I called the first number again, and they gave me yet another number (corporate office, I guess) that also told me to call AppleCare. They said I had to press 9.
9 was not an actual option.
I finally got through to someone when I called AppleCare and pressed 1 for iPod. I complained and complained, after which they told me they'd transfer me to the iPhone department.
Why can't you access the iPhone department directly? Because it's not actually in India; it's in Brisbane, Australia.
The guy I spoke to in Brisbane informed me that Vodafone must honor the warranty since it is obviously a Vodafone iPhone (it only activates with a Vodafone SIM and rejects all other companies), and is obviously less than a year old. Apparently, they are responsible for service.
However, to be safe, take a photo id, he said, since you can't find your sales receipt. It shouldn't matter, though, he said.
I wish that someone would tell Vodafone that, though. They refused to honor it because:
    1) They couldn't find the IMEI (I wasn't there to throw it in their face, both on the box and in the Settings>General>About). They only know to look for it on the SIM tray (which had been replaced way back in August because it was loose)
    2) When they found the IMEI on the box, they couldn't find it in their computers.
    3) They couldn't prove it was a Vodafone iPhone (again, I wasn't there to show them how it reacts with any other SIM when connected to iTunes. That's proof enough that it's Vodafone).
My housemate went to the largest Vodafone in Mumbai (Peninsula Chambers) and the manager refused to speak to her (he wasn't in the store, only on the phone. However, he refused to talk to her even when speaking to his lackeys for twenty minutes).
This is a 16GB iPhone, retailing for the equivalent of $700 US (Rs.36,100). The phone is under warranty and never been hacked or tampered with. And yet, no one in this country will honor its warranty and take care of it. Not because of anything but sheer bureaucracy and ignorance.
I mean, seriously, they can't even tell it's a Vodafone iPhone? They can't find the IMEI that's PRINTED on the box and in the Settings?
Who do we talk to to get this iPhone repaired/replaced? $700 is a lot of money for a phone that should be covered under its warranty.
If you could direct me to an email address/phone number both at Apple and whomever at Vodafone to rectify this, the help would be unbelievably appreciated.
Also, if someone at Apple can step up the quality of customer service in India for Vodafone and Airtel (it's the same phone number for each provider), please do. Airtel cannot even call the AppleCare number (it's an 800 number which can only be accessed by landlines and Vodafone customers. I've had this issue when trying to repair my MBP), let alone get through to anybody to fix anything.
    thanks.

Right. So you're telling me that Apple has left someone in charge who is totally screwing their customers' experience and no one at Apple will help reign them in and set them straight?
I guarantee you that she's not the only person who's had this experience and it **** well sours me from buying another iPhone if I know it won't be taken care of if something goes wrong.
I've posted this to let Apple know there's something woefully wrong with their partner and to get that fixed as well. I know Vodafone is the one I'm supposed to deal with; I just want that to be improved.

  • Incorrect Number of Pages Printing - Custom Paper Size

    Hello Everyone,
I am new to Crystal Reports but have recently become responsible for supporting a report that my office has been using for several years.  We utilize a fairly simple Crystal Report to create temporary and guest parking passes in the parking services department of my University.  These passes simply take some data from our internal database and add the current and calculated expiration dates - again, pretty simple.  These passes are then printed on a custom paper stock roughly the size of a #10 envelope that has a hole in the paper to hang around a car's rear view mirror.  This solution has been working for years but we have recently run into a very annoying problem.
The passes are being printed from our four customer service computers.  Each computer is identical - an HP dc7900 workstation running Windows XP SP3 and Crystal Reports 11.  The computers also have identical printers; HP DeskJet 6940s.  A couple of weeks ago the customer service representatives who handle the parking passes started experiencing a problem.  When they would print a the report (the temporary or guest pass) the printer would occasionally pick up the custom page, make a strange grinding noise, and spit the page out without printing.  It was only by putting the paper back in a second or third time that the pass would actually print.  This problem seems to happen randomly with some people experiencing the problem more than others.
Like I mentioned before, this method of creating the passes has been working for several years.  We have been using the same Crystal Report and the same printers.  One of the four CSRs has not experienced any problems with her printing - the passes come out of the printer correctly every time.  Other CSRs are able to specify only printing page 1 and the pass will print correctly; even though it is only a one page report to start with.  There is only one CSR who has the problem most frequently - about 80% of the time - and she cannot use the "print page 1" technique.  We have tried to figure out what sets her apart from the others but they should all have identical machines.
In troubleshooting the problem I have attempted everything I could think of.  Our first thought was to clean the printer or swap it out with a spare, but this did not solve the problem.  Since it was happening on multiple computers, we thought the report was to blame.  We checked to make sure all of the data was fitting withing the margins, there were no extra sections or section breaks, and that the report had not been corrupted somehow.  We also tried to create a new report from scratch - again none of these actions helped.  I then tried to upgrade one computer to all of the latest updates available for Crystal Reports 11 from the website.  These updates did not solve the problem either.  The final straw was to re-image the computer to a known good state, but this did not help.
Since we are still not sure of the root cause of the problem I have posted a similar topic on HP's customer support forum.  I was hoping that someone in the Crystal Reports community may have some insight into my problems as well.  I have searched through the forums previously and that's where I got many ideas including updating, checking for hidden/over sized text, changing the print engine, and turning of Data Execution Prevention.  However, none of these suggestions improved our situation.  Does anyone have any insights as to what could be causing our problem?  It is getting very annoying for the CSRs and I feel bad that I have not been able to come up with a solution for them.
To recap, here are my environment specifications:
    -Crystal Reports 11
-Windows XP Service Pack 3 + all available Windows Updates
    -HP dc7900 Workstations
-HP DeskJet 6940 printers connected through USB
    -Microsoft Office 2007
    -McAfee Anti-Virus 8.7i
I appreciate any help or guidance anyone can provide.  Thank you in advance for your support.
    Jeff

The "strange grinding noise" leads me to believe it is the printer or paper stock.  I know you said you changed printers, but did you swap the printer having the problem with the one that never does?  My HP color laserjet makes a strange grinding noise now that the fuser needs to be replaced (which I will be doing this weekend).  Usually the louder the noise, the worse the printout looks...
Nothing in Crystal should cause a printer noise...

    Carl

  • DO NOT Get The Service With This Company IF You Want to Receive a Good Customer Service

It is really a pain, dissatisfaction, and a lot more when you have Verizon as your service provider. I have been having service for my cellphones with Verizon for over 3 years, and did not have any major problems, so when I moved to my new place I thought it’s better to get the Fios, and have one bill for my all Verizon services. I went online and started to order my products online. During ordering, the chat session opened and I started chatting with the Customer Service Rep in order to get help through the process. When we were in the step that I could order the home phone plan, I saw the International World Plan, and I asked the lady to give me some information about this plan. I asked her that I want to call to my country and I mentioned my country’s name to her as well. I asked her that if this service is available for my country, and she said “Yes” you can call to over 100 countries with this service and she encouraged me to get the 300 minutes service. Since the plan sounded good to me I decided to get the 500 minutes instead of 300 min, and after I ordered my plan, I started calling overseas, and happy that I am paying less than the Phone cards with this plan. On March 26 I received my bill, and saw that Verizon charged me 142 $ for the less than 200 minutes that I called to my country, and there was a Letter “N” in front of each phone calls. I checked the guide to see what does “N” mean, and I saw that it said N means “Denoted calls are NOT listed in World Plan”. Well, thanks to the lady who gave me the wrong information while I was ordering my plan online, but she or the Verizon company is not that much lucky because I printed my chat session the day I ordered my plan since I wanted to have the information of what I actually had ordered. That time I did not think that I may get in trouble like this. Since March 27th, I have been calling Verizon every other day, and I have explained my issue to more than 10 Customer Service Reps, and each of them asked me to fax my chat session to them. I have been faxing that to all the numbers that they gave me, and I am keep faxing them, but do not get any respond. One of the Verizon’s Supervisors, whose name is Mark, called twice on my home phone number during the daytime, around 3 pm, and he left massages. On his second massage, he said that he checked the plan and my country is not listed in the International World Plan. He just said this, and he said that he was going to call me back, but never happened. He also did not leave me any phone number that I could call back. Also, since my cellphones are listed in the same bill as my other products, he could easily see the other numbers that he could call and reach me, but he did not bother himself to do so. I have even changed my home voice mail greeting addressing to Verizon, and left my cellphone number in voice mail greeting. I am so sorry that I have to say this, but this seems a definite fraud to me. I did not know about this plan, and I asked the Customer Service Rep to help me. She was responsible to check my country, or at least let me know how I could find out about the coverage. This is ridiculous, and if Verizon cannot take over this problem, my lawyer will take the action over, and takes the issue to their corporate court. I am not going to give up about this, and I decide to give Verizon about a week or so to solve this issue, but I won’t wait more than that. Just a friendly advice to people who want to get the home service through Verizon: DO NOT Get The Service With This Company IF You Want to Receive a Good Customer Service. There is nothing about taking care of customer in this company, and you are going to be stuck with what you get.

    Mahsa21,
We are glad that we were able to resolve the international calling plan issue for you.  If you need assistance, please  reach out to us.
    thanks,
    Tonya D.

  • HP Officejet All In One-Poor customer service

I purchased an Officejet all in one on 10/20, and had the charge added to my credit card.  On 11/11 I had to call tech support regarding an error I was getting about a "spooler".  I called again on 11/15 and 11/18.  They are now telling me it isn't the printer, but the computer.  Only one of the times did I get someone who spoke English that could be understood.
I received my credit card statement today with a charge to HP for $68 more than was agreed.  I called the number on my credit card, and Surprise!, I was connected to tech support.  I went on line and got the number for customer service.  They told me I had purchased the printer through (Surprise agian!) tech support.   I asked if they, being customer service, could not help me with the problem, and they said no it would have to be tech support.  I now have to wait until mid-day tomorrow to talk with someone, (if they do happen to call).  I am so frustrated with HP at this point!!  Customer service should be exactly that, customer service!!  The issue with my printer is still not resolved, and probably will never be.  I have purchased my last product from them!!

This is a user to user forum, for the issues with billing you will need to contact HP.
For the spooler issues someone here may be able to help you if you would read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth?
