Calendar Application - Colour coding dates?

Is it possible to colour code a date in the Calendar application?
At present, I only see a dot when an event is recorded against a particular date. I am a bit surprised that this basic functionality has been left out.....
Or is there a third party plug-in for colour-coding dates?
Thanks for any info you may have

There is no way to do this at present. You can submit feedback to Apple requesting this feature:

Personally, I would like to have the colors from my various iCal calendars carried over.

  • Configuring Oracle Calendar Application System

    Hi,
    I have configured Orcale Calendar Server. But when I start Oracle Calendar Application System and try to go the system page I get an internal server error.
    The error log says :
    DATE = Tue Mar 13 20:30:42 2007
    PID = 3444
    TID = 3268
    LEVEL = error
    CLASS = Error::System::OracleMsgString
    CODE = 0007-00-00-0000000A
    MSG = Failed to open the catalog - Catalog file name=cas - Language=american
    Can anyone provide any pointers on how to resolve this issue?

    Does the server run?
    If you do opmnctl status do all the processes run?
    Did you stop the entire environment and then start it again and try it once more again?

  • WD application showing combined data

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to create WD application showing combined data from flat file and from external DB?
    Does anyone has experience or guide how to do it?
    Thanks in advance
    Marek

    Hi Marek,
    Apparently the scenario which you have explained is not that simple as it seems to be. There is lot behind this.
    As per your requirement:
    1. I get data from external DB into WD
    2. I upload data from local file into WD
    3. I would like to combine data from both DB and local file.
    4. I would like to display combined representation data from both external DB and local file.
    I would go point wise and hope that clears your issue:
    1) If you want to get data from External DB it depends which external DB you are using. Is it a SAP system or a non-SAP system. If that is a SAP ABAP system then you can use the Adaptive RFC model which is provided in Webdynpro to extract data. In case that is the non-SAP system then you need some connector from XI which can extract the data from 3rd party systems and can bring on to the same platform of SAP and then you can get the data out of it. In case you have non-SAP system then proabably you need to do lot of things before you actually get the data in webdynpro.
    2) Get data from Local file: This is simpler than above case, however require some coding efforts. You need to read the local files in such a way that it can be formatted in a given format. After that this can be easily accessed in the webdynpro application. This will be a small JAVA code to extract the data from a local file system (i am assuming that data is in .csv, .xls, .txt formats)
    3) Combine data from both datasource: This is quite tricky task as you need to get the data from both data source in common format so that it can be used to get displayed using the Webdynpro application. Again I would say this require java coding tricks.
    4) Once you get the data in common format then there is nothing in displaying the data using webdynpro application.
    I hpe this will clear you doubts. Please revert back in case you need more clarifications.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Pravesh

  • ITunes 7.4.x - No supported calendar application found

    After installing the latest version of iTunes 7.4.x I can't syncronise anything anymore. The Info page in Itunes is kinda blank - that is, there are no info in the dropdownboxes where you select which applications to sync with.
    I am running Office 2003 SP2 and could syncing before the upgrade.
    Somewhat strangly positioned on the Info tab in Itunes it says "No supported calendar application found". Looks like a debug textstring. However, an hour before it was able to easily see that i have Outlook 2003 installed.
    I have no other addins or com addins running. I only see one Apple-add in running, but the scarse information posted by Apple on this forum tells me that thats how its done in the new version..?
    Anybody has any feedback on this? Would be nice if the iPhone ... worked
    Best regards,
    Frederik

    Did you read this article?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386 :
    "Additional Information
    The first time you sync the Info tab with your iOS device, you are asked if you want to merge data, replace data on the service, or replace the data on your computer from the following applications:
    Mac: Address Book, iCal, Microsoft Entourage, or Microsoft Outlook 2011
    PC: Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Addressbook (XP) and Windows Contacts (Vista and Windows 7)
    For more information about syncing your device with your computer, see the user's guide or see this article."

  • Daylight saving error in Calendar application

    A notice for concerned users:
    When an event is scheduled on iCal v. 3.0.1 (i.e. on a Leopard iMac) with a time zone of "UTC", it does not display with the proper event time when viewing the event on the iPhone Calendar application if the daylight saving setting of the day of the event is different from the current daylight saving setting for today.
    Example: I am located in the Central time zone (i.e. Chicago). If I schedule an event for 10:00 p.m. UTC on March 10 (the day after daylight saving time begins), then review the event in Calender prior to March 9, the iPhone will display the event for 4:00 p.m. (which is it's time in CST) instead of correct time of 5:00 p.m. (which is it's time in CDT).
    In other words, displayed times for future events are calculated using today's daylight saving setting instead of the daylight saving setting of the date of the event.

    Given that the week is now over and your phone and PC should both have reverted to EST, not EDT, this problem should now have passed.
    This problem should have been corrected with a firmware upgrade but the e61 hasn't had a firmware upgrade for over a year...
    This year I just ignored it as the actual reminders were still happening at the right moment of the day! As it was synchronising via Mail for Exchange all was fine, as the PC was dominant.
    The only other work around is to set the phone to another time zone that was correct for the week while this schemozzle lasted.
    Hopeless, wasn't it? It is up to the Australian government to gazette calendars for Australia not Nokia! Nokia should have an appropriate mechanism in place to check for adjustments to time zone etc information.

  • Calendar behaves diffrently than Date

    Dear all,
    I have used IBM jax-ws for webservice ... in which I have an instance of Calendar ... and I used a Hibernate Query which used Date ...
    Then I realized that I got a wrong result (A hidden bug in an application since last year).
    Please see the code below:
    import java.text.ParseException;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    import java.util.Calendar;
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.util.GregorianCalendar;

              System.out.println("date1 = " + date1.toString());
              Calendar cal = new GregorianCalendar(2010, 1, 20);
              Date date2 = cal.getTime();
              System.out.println("date2 = " + date2.toString());
    }The results are
    date1 = Wed Jan 20 00:01:00 CET 2010
    date2 = Sat Feb 20 00:00:00 CET 2010
    Why is there this difference?

    Because (1) Date and Calendar are different classes and (2) "mm" is the symbol for "minute" not "month".But the result is right for Date as "date1 = Wed Jan 20 00:01:00 CET 2010", it is indeed the entered value
    "Date date1 = (Date) formatter.parse("2010-01-20");"
    Anyhow my problem is about Calendar with gives the wrong result as
    "date2 = Sat Feb 20 00:00:00 CET 2010" is not what I entered by "Calendar cal = new GregorianCalendar(2010, 1, 20);"

  • PROBLEM Creating a Sample Application from Uploaded Data - ENDECA 3.1

    Good morning.
    I'm installing OEID 3.1 and y have many problems.
    One is when i want to créate a Sample Application from Uploaded Data following "InfoDiscGettingStarted.pdf"
    I have the next error message:
    "Task execution failed for workflow ID 1. Task execution failes for workflow ID 1."
    Does anyone know which is due to this error?
    Thank you very much.
    Pd: Excuse me for my english

    BINGO !
    works like a charm
    I used this at compReady. Loads all the animated thumbnails with image, jersey number and full name.
    $.getJSON('images/profiles.json', function(json)
                sym.getComposition().getStage().setVariable('data', eval(json));
                var data = sym.getComposition().getStage().getVariable('data');
                for ( i = 1 ; i < 17; i++){
                    sym.getSymbol("thumb"+[i]).$("thumb1").css("background-image","url("+data.player[i].thumb +")");
                    sym.getSymbol("thumb"+[i]).$("j_num").html(data.player[i].j_num);
                    sym.getSymbol("thumb"+[i]).$("p_name").html((data.player[i].f_name)+"<br>"+(data.player[i ].l_name));
    sym.$("Stage").css({"margin-left":"auto","margin-right":"auto"});
    and this on all the "display on click" profile sheets. Right now just gets the larger player pic but will get all the other "fields" also when complete
    var i = 1 // this var identifies the player
    var data = sym.getComposition().getStage().getVariable('data');
    sym.$("player_image").css("background-image","url("+data.player[i].image+")");
    sym.play("profile" + [i]);
    Works perfect. Now I just have to add all the other fields to the profile sheets and presto...
    thanks again
    Joel

  • Is there a way to move multiple Calendar items from one date to another?

    Hello. I have far too many Calendar items every day in my iCal. Until I finally pare them down to a reasonable level, I need to "reschedule" all of my unfinished ToDo items and reminders, to another day, later in the week.
    There doesn't seem to be any "Select All" feature available.
    Is there a way to move multiple Calendar items from one date to another?
    Thanks in advance!

    Still no ideas? Apple, please come up with a fix. Thanks.

  • Get Rid of 'Would You Like to make iCal Your default calendar application'

    Since installing the Plaxo 'helper' / Pref Pane - I now get the following message every time I launch iCal (and Address Book) ...
    'Would you like to make iCal your default calendar application?'
    Even when selecting 'Make Default' it still asks the next time. Is there a setting in com.apple.ical.plist (or similar) that controls this that I can look at, or is there a terminal command to try setting this another way?
    I'm bothered a) why I get this at all - suspect Plaxo b) why I can't just set this the once. Any help gratefully received.
    If it is Plaxo monitoring and then setting/changing a flag on the fly it's soon going to be heading for the trash....

    OK, here I am answering my own question... It turns out there's another Discussion which has the following solution:
    I had the same message pop-up. I quite iCal and then went to ~/Library/Preferences and trashed the apple.ical preference [plist]. After that, I re-launched iCal and checked the box in the message box and it took that time.
    I tried this... we'll see if it works for me.

  • Calendar Functionality for a date field in HTML of  a ITS service

I found some HTML and Javascripts in SYSTEM and BBPGLOBAL services (named as calendar)but not sure which ones to use if anyone used date functionality or even have access to Standard SAP ITS screens that already have date field with calendar fuctionality can you help???????????????
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi
    Let me first thank you for the quick response and timely help you provided calendar popup works great but one minor issue i am not able to click on the date entry and bring the field back into the field not sure if this funcitonality is in show_calendar.
    I would really appreciate if you get time to look at below i am almost there with your help......thanks again
    Here are the steps I did
    I have a HTML page  SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS screen 300 in SRM module , I created a new HTML page (zcalendar.html) in the same internet service BBPSC01 as suggested and I included in my HTML page SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS screen 300 and also I added below code to add a icon and a href call to the show_calendar function.
    Code works great I get the popup but when I double click on the date it is not selecting the date into the field back .
    Any thoughts??????

  • No supported calendar application in iTunes for iPod Touch

    Hello everyone,
    Right now I'm having trouble syncing my calendar on my iPod touch. I'm using iTunes 7.4.3 and I have Outlook 2003 installed on my computer, but iTunes says "No supported calendar application can be found." in the Calendar section on the info tab. I've tried restoring my Touch several times, in addition to removing / reinstalling iTunes and Apple Mobile Device Support several times, and now I'm at a loss.
    The weird thing is, I had a 1st gen nano hooked up to this computer as well, and for that iPod, iTunes could detect Outlook just fine. I have no idea why this is happening with my iPod Touch. Any help?

    I am facing your problem too. My iTunes seems do not recognize my Outlook 2002 SP3. I am using Traditional Chinese Edition on WinXP SP2 T.Chinese platform. Is it the cause of this problem? Hope that anyone can help us.

  • Calendar no longer sends data to iphone since I got a new PC with Outlook 2010

    My iphone 4 used to happily sync with my old PC (Windows XP) but I've got a new PC with Outlook 2010 and the calendar no longer sends data from the PC to the iphone.
    I've used the Help questions here and created a new event on my phone which has now created a new calendar on the PC, so I have 2 calendars now, one with all events in and one only with events which are also on my phone.
    No new events added to my calendar are ending up on my phone.
    How do I:
    a: get rid of the new calendar which has opened (it is called "Outlook Data File", the existing one, which I want to keep, is called "Personal Folders)
    b: get the calendar to send info to my phone and back?

  • Where does it go when you click on the Calendar icon beside the date field?

    Hi,
    Does anybody know what page or region does it go when you click on the Calendar icon beside a date field? I need to know how it generates the list of values for year.
    Need your help. ASAP. If you need to know more about my inquiry please email me, [email protected]
    Thanks.

    It's a Date bean and it is UIX which generates the java script to pop open the dialog box and the UI. I donot think there will be any public document available on the implementation.
