Call EJBHome method create() from C++

We have problem, when we call first EJBHome method create() from C++(using CORBA VisiBroker for C++ 4.3) : exception CORBA::BAD_OPERATION

Basically, I just want a C++ program to be a client of my java server (which already has a JNI layer).
Would IPC using sockets (both the client and the server will always be on the same host) be as efficient as shared memory or NamedPipes?

  • Call Java method from JavaScript

    Hi,

    I need to call this method, assignValue() , from JavaScript.
    Is there a way to call a Java method from JavaScript.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Yes I did, and I still don't get it, I have created a JSF web application, not an applet, as I posted earlier my code to executes sit's in a class file, not an applet file.
    My Page1.class file is as follows
    * Page1.java
    package a1;
    import ....
    public class Page1 extends AbstractPageBean {
        public void valset(int val) {
    }my jsp file "Page1.jsp" is as follows:

  • How to call a method of an other view in the current view

    Hi Guys,
    I have 2 views in my Project: IPrivateValidateIncidentView and IPrivateRoadMapView.  Now, a button in the IPrivateRoadMapView must call a method in the IPrivateValidateIncidentView.  I cannot seem to figgure this out.  I know that I will probably need to arrange things centrally in my Component COntroller somehow.
    I have tried to see what methods I can Invoke on IPrivateValidateIncidentView from within the Controller to see if I can call the method OnActionDoneValidate() from there, but I can only seem to get a constant with this methods name: IPrivateValidateIncidentView.WD_EVENTHANDLER_ON_ACTION_DONE_VALIDATION;
    Please help.
    Christiaan

    Hi,
    You are correct, for your requirement you need to arrange the things centrally that is in Component Controller. As in above reply you need to Create your context in Component controller and then map them to both the views. So data will be available to both the views and finally you create a method in component controller and call that method from second view. So the data changes made in controller will be reflected on First View as they have context mapping.

  • Call a method/Functio in a class using MouseOver StaticText - Please help!!

    Hello, I have an array of unknown size of Static Text component's of the type com.sun.rave.web.ui.component.StaticText, They're named "st_utp_1", "st_utp_2", "st_utp_3".... so forth.
    I have a class called "Page1.class" in this class I have a Method(or function, please correct me on that). called declared as:
    public void utp(int utv) {
    }When I mouse over a particular StaticText box, I would like it to call the method "utp(x);" where x is the last number in the StaticText ID. for example, If I mouseOver "st_utp_23" I would like it to call the method "utp(23);", If I then mouseOver "st_utp_107" I would like to call the method as "utp(107);".
    Currently I can't get any StaticText to call any method in my class file with a mouseOver function. I can however call my method successfully from within the class file itself.
    Please, can anyone help me?
    Looking forward to the response. Cheers

    Cheers, thanks for the quick response
    I imagine you mean something like this
    public void init() {
          st_utp_1.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() {
              public void mouseEntered(MouseEvent e) {
                  utptab(1);
    }The problem is that the statiicText componet "st_utp_1" is of type "com.sun.rave.web.ui.component.StaticText"
    It comes up with the error:
    symbol : method addMouseListener(<anonymous java.awt.event.MouseAdapter>)
    location: class com.sun.rave.web.ui.component.StaticText
    st_utp_1.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter()
    If I create a new Jlabel called "jl_utp_1" and write the same code:
    public void init() {
          jl_utp_1.addMouseListener(new MouseAdapter() {
              public void mouseEntered(MouseEvent e) {
                  utptab(1);
    }it executes without a problem, I believe it's the type of StaticText compnent I'm using.
    Any more help would be appreciated.

  • How to call a SAP service from adobe flex

    Hi experts,
    I need to call a webservice create from SAP BAPI  my URL is: http://xxxxxxxxx:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_DD90E166ACE1B1F18AD8001B789FF0AD/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=200, with this URL I can test the webservice from WsNavigator.
    The operation is ZimrfcVerifOtUbica and the input structure is:
    ZimrfcVerifOtUbica
    > PiNumeroAlmacen (input parameter)
    > PiOTransporte (input parameter)
    The output structure is:
    ZimrfcVerifOtUbicaResponse
    >PoMessage (output parameter)
    I've created a view with two inputfield (one to PiNumeroAlmacen, one to PiOTransporte), one button and one label (to put the result value).
    but I don't know how to call the WS, I tried with this code:
    <mx:WebService id="ZCCONVERTERService"
         wsdl="http://xxxxxxxxx:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_DD90E166ACE1B1F18AD8001B789FF0AD/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=200;" useProxy="false" >

                   </mx:request>
              </mx:operation >
         </mx:WebService>
    and I get this error: [RPC Fault faultString="Could not load WSDL" faultCode="Server.NoServicesInWSDL" faultDetail="No <wsdl:service> elements found in WSDL at ."].
    I tried with actionscript and runtime library but I get this error: java.lang.Exception: Unsupported element in WSDL file: UnknownExtensibilityElement
    I tried put in Data--> Import Web Service and I put the URL and I get Unable to load the WSDL.  Specify another URI.
    Other thing is for this webservice I've created a logic destination, and this webservice is used in a webdynpro aplication and works correctly. But now I need to use the same webservice in flex.
    Could you help me to call to this webservice?
    Thanks in advance.

    I have could do it, but now I'm trying to do the same with a SAP standard service.
    Any idea?

  • Private static method accessed from main, please explain

    hi,
    i dont understand what happened with this code:
    static means you dont have to have an object to call the method - fine.
    but private means that the method is only available within the class,
    so how can one call the method initLookAndFeel() from main?
    public class Converter{
       //constructors etc...
       private static void initlookAndFee(){/* do stuff */}
    }//end of class converter
    public static void main( String args[]){
       initLookAndFeel(); ///????????????????????????????????????
       Converter converter = new Converter();
    }//end of main

    ...dang those stupid SMALL parenthesis!
    yes, main IS within the class converter... doh!
    thanx. M.

  • Calling a method on a jFrame from a jPanel that created by the jFrame

    Hi all
    I can not for the life of me work out how to do this.
    Calling a method on a jFrame from a jPanel that created by the jFrame.
    I have used this code to set a handle for one jPanel to another.
    i.e I can create new jpanel and pass in handles from one to another but not back to the jFrame.
    // this is sudo code
      private Panel_Top topPanel;
      private Menu_Panel menuPanel;
      private DataPanel dataPanel;
    //create new
        topPanel = new Panel_Top();
        menuPanel = new Menu_Panel();
        dataPanel = new DataPanel();
    // add handles from one to another
        menuPanel.setDataPanel(dataPanel);
        topPanel.setDataPanel(dataPanel);
        topPanel.setMenu_Panel(menuPanel);
        dataPanel.setMenu_Panel(menuPanel);
    // in each class I use this to set
      public void setDataPanel(DataPanel dataPanel) {
        this.dataPanel = dataPanel;
      }But I can not seam to get a handle back to the jFrame that created it.
    Please help
    as you can see I am trying but no luck so far

  • Problem calling a method which takes a parameter from a table

    Hi guys,
    I'm very new to jsf and hope you can help me out.
    On my page i'm generating a list, which is working fine. now i want to add some commandLinks to the list entries. on click, i want to execute a bean method, which takes a parameter from the list, generates a picture and displays it on my page.
    here's a piece of code thats already working:
    <rich:dataTable var="data" value="#{pathwayBean.orgList}">
    <rich:columnGroup>
            <rich:column>
               <h:outputText value="#{data.name}" />
         </rich:column>
    </rich:columnGroup>
    </rich:dataTable>now, i want to replace the outputText with a commandLink, and execute a method with {data.id} as parameter. Unfortunately, the commandLink property "action" can only call bean methods with no parameter, or is that wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

    use actionlistener.
    here a typical code that works fine for me:
    (JSF 1.2)
    //Java
    private Integer selectedItemId=null;
         public void selectItem(ActionEvent event) {
              // Find the UIParameter component by expression
              UIParameter component = (UIParameter) event.getComponent().findComponent("itemId");
              // parse the value of the UIParameter component
              try {
                   selectedItemId = Integer.parseInt(component.getValue().toString());
                   // find itemBean here using selectedItemId
              } catch (Exception e) {
                   logger.error(e, e);
              logger.info(" +++ selectedItemId =" + selectedItemId);
         public String viewItem() {
                 //create view beans here
                 return "itemView";//return appropriate view.
    //JSF
    <h:column>
                             <h:commandLink     id="View"
                                                 action="#{itemListBean.viewItem}"
                                                       actionListener="#{itemListBean.selectItem}">
                                  <h:outputText value="select"/>
                                  <f:param id="itemId" name="itemId" value="#{itemBean.id}"/>
                             </h:commandLink>
                     </h:column>

  • Calling a method from a UICommand Object

    How do I call an action method from a UICommand object?
    I create a HtmlCommandLink in my backing bean, and I think I should be setting the action, but with what? The method takes a MethodBinding but I can't find much detail on how to get that. I just want to call a method like linkAction1_action() in the example below, but you cannot pass a method.
    public class Page1 extends AbstractPageBean {
      private HtmlPanelGroup panel = new HtmlPanelGroup();
      public HtmlPanelGroup getPanel() {
        return panel;
      public void setPanel(HtmlPanelGroup panel) {
        this.panel = panel;
      public Page1() {
        HtmlCommandLink link = new HtmlCommandLink();
        link.setAction(/* what do I put here */);
        this.panel.getChildren().add(link);
      public String linkAction1_action() {
        return "GoBack";
    }

    OK. A couple days later and I am able to answer my
    own question. Anyway, I will lay it out there for
    anyone interested. This worked for me...
    public class Page1 extends AbstractPageBean {
    private HtmlPanelGroup panel = new HtmlPanelGroup();
    public HtmlPanelGroup getPanel() {
    return panel;
    public void setPanel(HtmlPanelGroup panel) {
    this.panel = panel;
    public Page1() {
    HtmlCommandLink link = new HtmlCommandLink();
    link.setAction(
    FacesContext.getCurrentInstance()
    .getApplication()
    .createMethodBinding("#{Page1.linkAction1_action}",
    new Class[0]));
    this.panel.getChildren().add(link);
    public String linkAction1_action() {
    return "GoBack";
    Since you're setting the action from within the Page1 object, why don't you create a method binding manually? This will be much more performant that using the application to create and EL-based binding.
    Try:
    link.setAction(new MethodBinding()
          public Object invoke(FacesContext facesContext, Object[] objects) throws EvaluationException, MethodNotFoundException
            return linkAction1_action();
          public Class getType(FacesContext facesContext) throws MethodNotFoundException
            return String.class;
    });Note that you also avoid any naming convention - you do not require your Page1 object to be configured as a managed bean "Page1".

  • Calling a method in Class from webdynpro

    Hi All,
    I have to perform some action when i click the button created in my webdynpro screen.
    However I must not write the code for the button action inside the button event. But I have to create a class and inside the class i have to create the method for this button event.
    Can anyone tell me how to call a method in a class created in SE24 from webdynpro on clicking the button.
    Thanks in advance.

    hi..
    When you want to perform some action after clicking a Button, then you have to write the code only in 'Events' - 'On Action' event. From your question, i assume that, you wanna use Assistance class in your webdynpro so as to increase better performance. Here is the link which will guide yuo with screen shot for using assistance class in WD-ABAP.

  • Need help calling a method from an immutable class

    I'm having difficulties in calling a method from my class called Cabin to my main. Here's the code in my main              if(this is where i want my method hasKitchen() from my Cabin class)
                        System.out.println("There is a kitchen.");
                   else
                        System.out.println("There is not a kitchen.");
                   }and here's my method from my Cabin class:public boolean hasKitchen()
         return kitchen;

    You should first have an instance of Cabin created by using
       Cabin c = ....
       if (c.hasKitchen()) {
         System.out.println("There is a kitchen.");
       } else {
            System.out.println("There is not a kitchen.");

  • Calling a method in BPM Object from jsp page

    hi all,
    I try to call a method from BPM Object using <f:invokeUrl >
    I change server side method properties to yes.
    and then how can i get request and response object inside the BPM method.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for ur response,
    But i mention about BPM method inside BPM Object.
    i found this inside the documentation.
    methodName(Fuego.Net.HttpRequest request, Fuego.Net.HttpResponse response)
    i need to match above BPM method and <f:invokeUrl > tag. am i right?
    But i don't know how to create method with argument "Fuego.Net.HttpRequest request, Fuego.Net.HttpResponse response" inside BPM Object.
    I can't find any place to define method argument inside Oracle BPM studio.
    I don't know how to parse argument like "Fuego.Net.HttpRequest request, Fuego.Net.HttpResponse response"

  • Calling a method in the view controller from the component controller

    Hi
    Is there anyway to call a method in the view implementation from the component controller??
    Thanks
    jack

    Thanks for all your replies. I want this kind of a functionality because Im trying to invove a DC (Child DC) from a Parent DC such that the Child DC's view is displayed onto the view container of the Parent DC. I have embedded using 'interface view of a component instance' in the Parent Window and am able to create the component and set usage though the onPlugDefault of the Child View.
    But I observe that when i make a call from the parent, the flow is like this:
    1. The wdDoInit of the Child Component Controller gets triggered first.
    2. Then the wdDoInit of the Child's <b>VIEW</b> gets triggered
    3. and <b>THEN</b> the onPlugDefault of the Child Component Interface View
    What I had actually wanted was to Fire onPlugDefault where Im calling a method LoadData(), after which the Child DC's view must be triggered so it can display the fetched data.
    What is actually happening is the view gets displayed, but no data is displayed in the view.
    Right now I have just given a work around where Im triggering <b>LoadData()</b> of the <b>COmponent COntroller</b> from the <b>wdDoInit</b> of the <b>VIEW</b>.
    Is there a better way to do this? I find it strange that I have to load the Data from the view.
    Thanks
    Jack

  • Calling a method from a static method

    hello all,
    I'm calling a non-static method from a static method (from the main method). To overcome this i can make the method i am calling static but is there another way to get this to work without making the method that is being called static?
    all replies welcome, thanks

    When you call a non-static method, you are saying you are calling a method on an object. The object is an instance of the class in which the method is defined. It is a non-static method, because the instance holds data in it's instance variables that is needed to perform the method. Therefore to call this kind of method, you need to get (or create an instance of the class. Assuming the two methods are in the same class, you could do
    public class Foo
         public static void main(String[] args)
                Foo f = new Foo();
                f.callNonStaticMethod();
    }for instance.
