Call ESB from Java Class

Hi, I want to call a BPEL process through the ESB using java. How can i do it? And if my BPEL process is synchronous, how can i route the reply back to the java class that is waiting for the response?

I have a struts project that calls a BPEL process and waits for the response.
IDeliveryService svc =
(IDeliveryService)locator.lookupService(IDeliveryService.SERVICE_NAME);
NormalizedMessage msg = new NormalizedMessage();
HashMap properties = new HashMap();
//Add properties for instance lookup
properties.put("conversationId", reservationId);
msg.addPart("payload", message);
msg.setProperties(properties);
processName = "BPELProcessSeguros";
if (operation.equals("Claim")){
operation = "claim";
NormalizedMessage resp = svc.request(processName, operation, msg);
Map payload = resp.getPayload();
org.w3c.dom.Element result = (org.w3c.dom.Element) payload.get("payload");
System.out.println("@@output payload ["+result+"]");
Now, i want to change this call for another one that call the BPEL process trough the ESB.

  • Call ESB from java or unix

    Dear All,
    Due to project requirement, I have a customer who wants to call ESB from java/unix
    i am aware of java calling BPEL but I have never seen a java calling ESB ?
    does any body about it ?
    Is it possible ?
    Appreciate your response.
    Best Regards
    Arc

    Hi, for BPEL there is a really good API to invoke processes externally. For ESB there is not (as far as I know). But each ESB process is just invokable like any other web service. So it would be an option to use javax.xml.rpc package and create Service and Call objects. You can then make use of DII (Dynamic invoking) and there is no need to specify parameters as long payload for the ESB process is valid XML for the Routing Service.

  • Calling Servlet from Java-Class

    MatthiasThis is not very pretty, so I think you should redessign, but you can open a URLConnection from your class pointing to the URL of the servlet. As far as I know you can't invoke a servlet directly, because you can't get a reference to it, it can only be invoked by the container...

  • Calling Custom XSLT java class from BPEL in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi All,
    Morning...need some help with this issue...we are currently on SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.4) version.
    Earlier while we were on SOA Suite version 10g (10.1.3.3) we were calling the custom java classes from the xsl mapping for complex transformation and for this we were placing the .class file as .jar file at the location mentioned here $OC4J_HOME/j2ee/home/applib directory and then mentioning the namespace as http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/{$classname$} in the XSLT mapping file.
    Now in SOA Suite 11g if we need to retain similar functionality for external custom java calls could someone please help us where do we need to put the .jar file now ..
    exactly at which directory location/path and on which instance/server (application server instance or middle tier instance ) we need to put this .jar file
    Currently we are stuck and need some help with this.
    With thanks & Regards

    Hi Eric & Anuj,
    Thanks for replying , sorry for checking on this now...
    here at this path /opt101/app/oracle/SOAD/SOA11gR1/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/modules/oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1
    we got the ora.soa.ext.jar file and extracted it to get the MANIFEST.mf file ..have mentioned below.
    Now if we need to link our custom .jar file named customfunctions.jar so we need to mention it as below is this correct :
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.7.1
    Created-By: 17.0-b17 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)
    Implementation-Vendor: Oracle
    Implementation-Title: Oracle SOA EXT
    Implementation-Version: 11.1.1
    Product-Name: Oracle SOA EXT
    Product-Version: 11.1.1.4.0
    Specification-Version: 11.1.1
    Extension-Name: oracle.soa.ext
    Class-Path: classes/
    Class-Path:customfunctions.jar classes/ -- is this the way to mention (means we need to add this additional line or we need to add to the existing line at Class-Path: classes/)
    2.
    Eric the Alternative method mentioned in your update :
    Open a command prompt and change the current directory to the oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1 directory ,
    then execute the build.xml file in the oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1 folder using Ant
    Now could someone please guide us regards this ANT means how does it work and its relation to the build.xml file and how do we check whether we have ANT utility available or not..
    not much conversant with this ANT hence asking here..would lookout for your reply
    thank you

  • Calling OAM WLST Commands from java class

    Hi all,
    is there any idea how to call OAM related WLST commands from java class ?.
    what are the required jar files ?
    thanks

    Hi,
    As per my understanding in OAM you will have only two major .py file startscript.py and stopscript.py file which will start nodemanger connect and start Admin and managed server similarly in stop it will stop managed server Admin server and then last nodemanager.
    these all done through wlst command using nmConnect(), nmStart (), nmKill() and shutdown etc.
    What exactly you are looking to get from java code.
    Regards,

    You should try to post it there:
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=97
    But if I look at the error, it looks like some files are Read-Only. Maybe you should check if they are or if you have the appropriate rights on the folder.
    Good luck

  • Web Service From Java class, serialization problem

    Hi,
    I want to create Web Service from Java class, I made java project, generated web service from it, create web service archive project and deployed it to WAS 6.40.
    My class have 2 methods,
    public int add(int a, int b);
    public MyResponse doSomthing(MyRequest req);
    I can succesfully call add method from Web Service Navigator, it works fine but when I call doSomthing methods I get the following error:
    <b>
    Deserializing fails. Nested message: XML Deserialization Error. Result class [com.mycomp.sap_tech.ws.MyRequest] does not have property [Amount] of type [java.lang.String]. It is required to load XML..
    </b>
    Any ideas how to resolve it?
    P.S. MyRequest class is exposed throw VI, has default constractor and public getters and setters for all properties. It implements Serializable as well. Any guesses?
    Thanks in advance,
    Victor.

    Hi Bhavik, thanks for response.
    as I already mentioned it implements Serializable, so it is not the problem.
    Thanks Avi but it didn't helps iether

  • JCX access from java class

    Is it possible to access jcx from java class ?
    from jpf i am calling java class which inturn calls jcx and
    i am getting nullpointer exception at jcx call in java class
    waiting for solution...
    thanks,
    sridhar

    Shrishar,
    Unfortunately in the current release controls cannot be accessed from stand
    alone java classes. You can create a custom control which can invoke the jcx
    and be invoked from within the jpf.

  • Configuring Windows Scheduler from Java Class

    Hi Frnds ,
    Is it possible to configure or create a task in Windows Scheduler from a Java program .
    If so ,please let me know how we can do so .
    Thanks ,
    Rajesh Reddy

    Without claimimng any hands-on experience with this, google for "windows scheduler command line".
    You will see lots of information from Microsoft about command line utilities that manage the scheduler.
    If those utilities are able to do what you need, calling them from Java is just a matter of using the
    Runtime or, better, ProcessBuilder classes (Runtime.exec() or ProcessBuilder.start()).

  • Calling html from java with some values

    Hello friends,
    I can call a HTML file from java.I want to pass some values from java class file to that html file.Anybody help me how to pass parameters?
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec("rundll32 url.dll,FileProtocolHandler http://localhost:8080/jcoDemo/dp.html");
    is one i am using for calling html file
    thanks

    Just add GET query parameters to the URL.
    Besides, if you were using Java 1.6 or newer, then rather use [Desktop#browse()|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/awt/Desktop.html#browse(java.net.URI)] instead of Runtime#exec(). It is crossplatform while your runtime approach works in Mircosoft Windows systems only.
