Callable Statement wot working properly
I have a situation where using CallableStatement only executes the stored proc intermittenly,
while utilizing Statement works all the time. This didn't happen under WLS 5.1 SP
6. Does anyone else have the same problems.
Also in both cases the jdbc log produces the following message:
SQLWarning: reason(010P4: An output parameter was received and ignored.) SQLState(010P4)
But we have nothing being returned from the stored proc and no OUT parameters.
We are using Jconnect native jdbc drivers with Sybase 11.9.2
Thanks a lot, Alex

We are using WebLogic 7.0 and we downloaded the latest version
of Sybase Driver. Previously we used WebLogic 5.1 sp 9 and
excatly the same sybase driver and code and it worked.Yes. The change in our code is that we now cache PreparedStatements
with their pooled connections, and when a pool connection is re-used,
if the requestor prepares a statement with the same parameters including the SQL,
as before, they get a cached statement which has had it's prior arguments cleared.
This is a big performance win, but it has had the side effect of revealing bugs
in various JDBC drivers when statements are re-used for an indefinite period
of time.
As I said, the first thing to do is to stop the symptoms, byt setting the cache size
to 0, to stop us caching. If you are willing to help us debug the driver, the test would
be a standlaone program that used the sybase driver to make a connection and
prepare a statement like your code uses, then run a long-running loop that
sets the arguments, executes the statement, calls clearParameters(), and repeats.
This duplicates what we make the driver do, and should eventually demonstrate
the driver bug. Is there any chance that the same prepared statement is being
used in different ways, such that the same SQL is used for a CallableStatement
getting back output parameters (even just the procedure status) sometimes, and
as a PreparedStatement other times?

Joeseph,

We are about to open a case with WebLogic.
Could you please help us ASAP.Understood. What version of the server are you running now? The first
step is to avoid the sybase driver problem by turning off our statement
cache.
Thanks, Alex

Hi. This probably has to do with our caching of prepared statements and
a bug in the version of the sybase driver that we ship. Please download
sybase's latest driver and put it ahead of all weblogic stuff in the
server
classpath, and let me know...

Spry:state not working properly
Hi,
I have the following code wrapped around my page:
<div spry:state="loading"
class="AjaxLoadingLarge">Loading...</div>
<div spry:state="error">Sorry! An Error has
occurred!</div>
<div spry:state="ready">
PAGE CODE HERE
</div>
Whilst the page is loading, the Loading State Appears on the
screen normally but also has the Error State Content and the Ready
State Content (unpopulated with Data) - ie it's the table with all
the header row and 1 results row displaying the dataset field names
{EventID} {EventDesc} etc.
Once the page is loaded, everything displays perfectly, It
just looks as though the "state" is not being handled properly
until the state becomes ready.
Anyone else seen this problem? and any ideas?
DomHi - Thanks for the response.
The previous line of code now reads:
<div spry:region="ds1" class="SpryHiddenRegion">
and I have closed the DIV off but it has made no difference
whatsoever - but there is no class in any .css for this.
Having Googled this, I found that some people have a class in
the .css as display:none. I added this and nothing is then visible.
Any further ideas?

Menu bar with rollover states not working properly
I have a menu bar that I want to have as a certain size. The
menu items that actually link somewhere are not showing up as the
designated size (150x50px) but the one link that is not linked to
somewhere else in the page looks fine (inventory).
Can someone look at the css and tell me if there is something
contradicting or if there is something I can do?
THank you
You can view the problem page at
http://thebradfordcreativegroup.com/abs/indexold.htmlSorry, I don't have the answers - but you need to see your
site in IE6. It
looks quite different - kind of bloated. Also, the "Quality"
link doesn't
have an arrow.
"Inventory" as you say sits up at the top. FF is fine. Sorry
I can't help
though.

Interactive PDF: Rollover button state no longer working properly ???
Okay, what's going on with the Interactive PDFs lately?
Now all my rollover buttons no longer work properly. If I have a button that's simply a black arrow, and in the rollover state it's red.
No matter if I'm checking it out in the latest Acrobat Reader or Pro X, the rollover only works for a brief second..then reverts back to black - the original state.
This, combined with my latest problem with the show/hide button state, is really becoming a frustrating hassle:
http://forums.adobe.com/message/3933451#3933451
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm running 7.5.1.
Is this an Acrobat issue? The button function here seems to work in the InDesign preview mode.Hhmmm...I'm actually having this problem even with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional. Does this make sense?
Again, I'm creating the document in InDesign CS5 and then building the PDF with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional, and the rollover effects don't work in Adobe Acrobat 9, Adobe Reader 9, and Adobe Reader 10.
I'm a bit new to this process of software not providing its basic touted functionality. Is this the kind of thing where support for this functionality will vary from product to product? I had the same issue with PDF Portfolio -- where all its functioanlity was not supported in Adobe Reader X. If so, perhaps I should simply stick with the classic features of PDFs. Or can I trust, reliability, that going forward, this rollover effect will be supported in all Adobe Reader versions? This is quite an important issue for me as I provide all the documentation for my employer, including customer facing documentation -- and I simply don't know. Any recommendations? -
How it works (Calling Stored Procedure in DB2 Through Callable statement)
Can anyone Please tell me what exactly happens on calling ESP(External Stored Procedure) through Callable statement Database point of view and Callable point of view also.
eg:
CallableStatement cstmt = con.prepareCall(
"{call getTestData(?, ?)}");
cstmt .executeUpdate();
where getTestData is Stored Procedure in DB2.
Can anyone please guide me working on this scenario..

Flip Card Animation is not working properly when Button's PointOver State remain Activated.
I am facing problems with flip car animation which is not working properly when its mouse point over state remains activated but it works perfect when its tapped two times and instantly change pointer position. Kindly Help me out as soon as possible.
Code is here:
Xaml:

<Image Name="imgSmall" RenderTransformOrigin=".5,.5" Tag="2" Opacity="1" Tapped="imgSmall_Tapped">

the button, but if i change mouse pointer at that very time after tapping it works properly. Mouse Pointer Over mean screen points where i tapped.
Triggered Function is here:
private void btnChangCase_Tapped(object sender, TappedRoutedEventArgs e)
if(isCaseChanged==false)
isCaseChanged = true;
FlipOpen.Begin();
else if(isCaseChanged==true)

Undo is not working properly (grayed out)
Undo is not working properly in Indesign CC 9.2. I am using a 17" MBP running OSX 10.9.1.
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I ran into this issue doing a publication layout. I was not doing anything overly complicated. Copying/pasting, placing images, adding text boxes, copying/pasting text boxes. It seems to happen without rhyme or reason.
I know that is not helpful for troubleshooting so I was able to isolate the problem. Here is how to recreate it.
Open new doc (standard letter)
Create text box with random text
copy the text box (cmd C)
paste the text box (cmd V)
move the resulting text box using selection tool (V)
select NEW text box (selection tool)
copy the NEW text box (cmd C)
paste the NEW text box (cmd V)
move the text box (selection tool).
Repeat until there are 5 text boxes (at least).
Undo the various actions after placing and moving the 5 text boxes.
I cannot undo back to a "new document."
In some cases I can only undo 2 actions before "undo" becomes grayed out, and in some cases, I can undo up to 9 or 10 actions before it gets grayed out.
Other programs running:
Illustrator
Photoshop
Text Edit
MS Word 2011
Excell 2011
Messages
Chrome
Finder
Fetch (FTP software)
I need to have these programs running simultaneously in many cases and have done so successfully in the past. I have a feeling it might be a memory issue, but I have not seen a similar post and I never had the issue with CS5 running with an identical setup. I was able to undo actions up until my previous save in CS5 sometimes 25-30 actions.I unplugged the USB items and the problem still persisted so it is not related to any of those.
I shut down InDesign and tried reopening. InDesign crashed at reopen. I have provided the log below. Hopefully this shows where the problem is occurring.

I just had a conversation with Linksys' Customer Service via chat: Daphne L. J: Hello Fernando Paramo. My name is Daphne L..
Daphne L. J: Welcome to Linksys Global Chat. Is this your initial contact or do you have a case number?
You: Case number is 04971062
Daphne L. J: Please give me 3-5 minutes to pull up and review your case.
You: OK
Daphne L. J: Thank you.
You: I have a WRT1900 AC, V1. The router is not working properly. I have disconnections every few minutes.I already installed the new firmware version and I still have the same issues. I already reset the router to factory defaults and same issues. I have changed the settings back to my personal preferences: Changed the SSID, changed the wireless security settings, changed the DNS and deactivate WPS. That's it.I'm using 5 Ghz mode with my laptops (5 Ghz adapters) and 2-4 Ghz with a few devices (Chromecast, Nintendo 3DS).
Daphne L. J: Thank you for waiting.
Daphne L. J: Please confirm if the following information is correct:
Name : Fernando Paramo
Phone Number :
E-Mail Address :
Model Number : WRT1900AC
Serial Number : 13J10609406280
Country : United States
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: Okay. Were you able to check if the devices have stable connection wired to the router?
You: No. I do not have devices with Ethernet ports. Well, only the cable modem.
You: But the modem is fine. No disconnections from my ISP.
You: It is the router.
Daphne L. J: Alright. What is the current firmware version of your router?
You: I tried to return the router to Wal-Mart yesterday with no luck. This is a useless device. And I have been reading comments on the community forums and a lot of people are having problems.
Daphne L. J: We are actually aware of the issue and are working on a resolution. What is the current firmware version of your router?
You: Ver. 1.1.10.167514
You: Latest one.
Daphne L. J: Yes, so you reflashed the firmware, reset and then manually reconfigure it after, not using backup configuration, is that right?
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: And it is intermittent on all devices connected to both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks, is that right?
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for the information. Please give ,e 3-5 minutes to verify this with my superior.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for waiting.
You: I want to send you my WRT1900 AC and get a V2 or I want a EA8500 and pay the difference myseld.
You: I do not want my current hardware.
You: It is useless for my needs.
You: I can't believe I had an older E3000 that didn't give me any problems.
Daphne L. J: We have already exhausted all possible troubleshooting steps for your concern. As verified with my Supervisor, we will forward your case to our Customer Assurance Team. They are highly technical and knowledgeable when it comes to advanced troubleshooting. They will contact you in the next 24 to 48 hours. By the way, who is your Internet Service Provider? And do you Cable or DSL connection?
You: Cable connection.
Daphne L. J: Who is your Internet Service Provider?
You: A company called .
You: How are they going to contact me?
Daphne L. J: Alright. By the way, on the device itself, on its FCC ID, please check if you have WRT1900AC or WRT1900AC v2.
You: Are you paying attention to me?
You: I already told you it's V1.
Daphne L. J: They will call or email you. Please double check if these informations are correct:
Name :
Phone Number :
E-Mail Address :
You: I told you I want to send you my WRT1900 AC and get a V2 or I want a EA8500 and pay the difference myself.
You: I want them to contact me to my email. I can't answer the phone during work hours.
Daphne L. J: We can't assure you if we will be able to replace it with Version 2 or if you are allowed to have the EA8500 instead.
Daphne L. J: Just in case, do you also have an alternate number?
Daphne L. J: Also, what time zone are you in? And what is your preferred time and day for them to contact you?
You: I have the one from my office in Mexico. Central Time. Any time is good.
Daphne L. J: So, you are currently in Mexico?
You: I work in Mexico but I have the house in USA. I live in the border.
Daphne L. J: I see. Do you have any other questions or clarifications?
You: I live 10 minutes away from the International Bridge. But that's not an issue. I bought the router at Walmart in Laredo, TX.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for the information. Would that be all for now?
You: I want a clarification: Do you realize that there is an issue with the current WRT1900 AC? Are you aware of that?
You: Because this is a very expensive router that is not working as it should be.
Daphne L. J: Yes, we are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution.
Daphne L. J: Would there be anything else you need?
You: That would be it. I will wait for you to contact me.
You: Thanks.
Daphne L. J: Alright. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to serve you through Linksys Live Chat. You may also visit our support site at www.linksys.com. For your reference, your case number is 04980394. Thank you for choosing Linksys and have a great day! We paid $250 for this piece of equipment. That's a lot of money for a device that doesn't work. I just want to get a V2 replacement, or better yet, an exchange for a EA8500. We should all demand this. It is not fair for us. The current WRT1900 AC is a useless device. They even should do a recall of the product. I will wait for them to contact me, but I'm thinking if I should send the information to The Consumerist or someone else. What to do?FernandoRocker wrote:
Well... instead of looking into this with Engineering, I would prefer you to talk about this with the Sales department and exchange my WRT1900AC for an EA8500 (I will pay the difference if needed). Seriously. The device is useless. Not just a paperweigt... an expensive paperweight.Actually I looking into the swap for you because I think that would be best in your case. Keep this in perspective. There is laterally millions of WRT1900AC V1 out there with very few issues with latest firmwares and of course the odd exception. In your case it could be a defective WRT1900AC. -

I sent my WRT1900AC V1 to Linksys four days ago (Monday) via UPS with a RMA. Linksys paid the shipping and everything. The router is still in route, and it should arrive to their offices tomorrow. Once they receive the WRT1900 AC V1, they are going to send me an EA8500 as a replacement. But I have been reading the comments about the EA8500 here in the forum and it seems to have the same problems. I guess the firmware is extremely flawed in both routers (maybe it is almost the same code?). Anyway, I will try the EA8500 and I hope it works. I bought a temporary router from Walmart and I paid $35 for it. It is a Belink N600 DB. I can't believe that a $35 router is working a lot, lot, lot better than my previous $250 WRT1900AC router. Unbelievable. If the EA8500 doesn't work, I'm going to try and get my money back from Linksys, or contact The Consumerist or someone to get my money back and get a Nighthawk instead.

Will macros in excel work properly if I switch Office 2013 32 bit to Office 2013 64 bit?
hi,
Will macros in excel created with Office 2013 32 bit work properly if i switch to Office Execl 2013 64 bit?
ThanksHi,
As far as I know, most of the macros might work well between 32bit and 64bit Excel. But there are some limitations for Excel 64bit:
Solutions using ActiveX controls library, ComCtl controls won’t work.
Third-party ActiveX controls and add-ins won’t work.
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) that contain Declare statements won’t work in the 64-bit version of Office without being updated.
Compiled Access databases, like .MDE and .ACCDE files, won’t work unless they’re specifically written for the 64-bit version of Office.

DBTransactionStateListener not working properly in JDeveloper 11g TP4
Hi All
I've created a custom DCTransactionStateListener and implement transactionStateChanged(boolean state) method. When the db transaction state is being changed i set a parameter in the HttpSession. I need this in order to know if transaction is dirty.
In JDeveloper 11g TP3 it's working properly, but now i test it in TP4 and it's not working. The method is not called. I've tried with delete and modify existing rows, but the method transactionStateChanged(boolean state) was not called.
Please anyone give some help to resolve this.
Regards,
JavaDeVeLoperIn general, you should be able to reference the isTransactionDirty() property of the data control without needing to create your own custom listener here, but it looks like for the TP4 and later builds, if you do want a custom DCTransactionStateListener, you'll need to override the
package model.utils;
import oracle.adf.model.bc4j.DataControlFactoryImpl;
public class MyDataControlFactoryImpl extends DataControlFactoryImpl {
public MyDataControlFactoryImpl() {
protected String getDataControlClassName() {
return MyCustomDCJboDataControl.class.getName();
package model.utils;
import oracle.jbo.common.ampool.SessionCookie;
import oracle.jbo.uicli.binding.JUApplication;
public class MyCustomDCJboDataControl extends JUApplication {
public MyCustomDCJboDataControl() {
addTransactionStateListener(new MyDCTransactionStateListener());
public MyCustomDCJboDataControl(SessionCookie sessionCookie)
super(sessionCookie);

What can I do if my CD or DVD drive doesn't work properly in Windows 8?
QuestionWhat can I do when if my laptop CD or DVD drive doesn't work properly in Windows 8?
AnswerNote: For help with this issue in Windows 7, please see this article.
To get your CD or DVD drive working correctly, try these suggestions in the order listed.
Reinstall the Driver
Hold the Windows key and press the 'x' key to open a menu in the lower-left. In this menu, select "Device Manager." Expand "DVD/CD-ROM drives." Right-click the entry for the CD/DVD drive nested under "DVD/CD-ROM drives," then select "Uninstall." Finally, restart the computer. The computer will reinstall the drivers for the drive.
Power Cycle
Even when your laptop is off and unplugged, residual power can still be held in some components. While this is normal, clearing it can help with some hardware problems. Perform these steps to complete what’s called a power cycle.
Ensure the laptop is turned off.
Unplug the laptop's AC power cable.
Unplug all wires and peripherals. This includes CDs, DVDs, USB sticks, mice, printers, and any other accessories.
Remove the battery (if the model has a removable battery). If the model does not have a removable battery, check your user's guide to determine if you have a pinhole reset on the bottom. If you do, press this.
Hold down the power button for thirty seconds.
Reattach the battery if removed.
Connect the AC adaptor to the power socket that was confirmed to be working in the first step.
Connect the other end of the AC adaptor to your computer.
Start the computer and test the drive

Will Dreamweaver CS4 work properly with 10.6.1 Snow Leopard?
Hello
Can anyone tell me please, if Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 work properly with my MacBook OS 10.6.1 Snow Leopard? Adobe state "Mac OS X v10.4.11–10.5.4" in the system requirements, but does this mean, in practise, that Dreamweaver will not work properly with Snow Leopard?
I have tried to find info about this here, but have spend ages wading through masses of complaints about various applications crashing for people after they upgraded to 10.6.1 Snow Leopard. Personally, touch wood, I've had no problems with Snow Leopard, but I only really use it for Internet surfing and word processing (my work, music stuff on Logic Pro 8, is done on my Mac Pro which came with Leopard and which I am NOT upgrading - not yet!).
I have also attempted to get an answer from Adobe - I 'phoned their "Pre-sales enquiries" number 0800 028 0148 (in the UK) and spoke to someone who sounded as if she was on the moon and who clearly had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. I gave up with them! They didn't give an email address to ask on.
I'd be very grateful if anyone can give a clear, authoritative answer please - if possible.I've been a Mac user since 1987 and have never upgraded the OS too soon after a new version was launched. Any new OS, like new houses, will have a 'snagging list' - unforeseen problems that arise and need to be sorted before your purchase is truly habitable and functions as expected.
But the stability of OS X 10.5 paved the way for my lapse of judgement when I upgraded to Snow Panther last week, while its compatibility with some major software is still clearly too buggy.
I've been using Dreamweaver (DW) CS4 successfully on OS X 10.5 for some time. Since installing OS X 10.6.1 I now have problems with DW, which I've alerted Adobe to.
When using Design View in DW CS4, any formatted text - from html tags to css tags - disappears from the Design view. The code appears correctly in the Code window and even if you highlight text that has coding attached in Code view - eg text with a url link attached - the Design view continues to ignore it and removes the text from its view. I've discovered that my heading tags (h1, h2, etc) all make the text disappear in Design view in a way that would be the envy of members of the Magic Circle! The only thing that seems to get through is text that is surrounded by paragraph tags.
Thing is that 'Preview in Browser' shows the page correctly (except in Opera, which I've only installed since installing Snow Leopard, so I can't say how this displayed in the previous OS versions).
Also when I upload the site to the server it all seems to display more or less as it should.
So currently it seems that DW CS4's Design view is no longer WYSIWYG! Expect to find lots of text hidden in Design view and have to use Code view much more.
It would be nice to think that Apple and Adobe would talk to each other and work it out between them.
re: Dreamweaver, I'd check back to Adobe.com regularly to see when they upgrade the OS requirements to 10.6.1 (I hadn't spotted before I bought Snow Leopard that they only go up to 10.5 in their OS recommendations).
My advice if you're thinking of upgrading to Snow Panther: delay it until it more of it works compatibly with your major applications. Check the OS spec from each software manufacturer first. Meanwhile I'll just have to wait patiently for Apple & Adobe to get their act together...
