Callback pls/sql is not executed

I set up an aq (single consumer) and registered a pl/sql procedure.
When i enq a message the pl/sql procedure is not executed.
Manually i can dequeue the message.
init.ora settings aq_tm_processes = 1 and job_queue_processes = 10.
Do i need to do something more here so that the pl/sql procedure will process the enqueued object automatically ?

  • SQL statement not executing

    Please enlighten me. This is driving me crazy.
    I don't know if this is a database or java code related problem.
    JVM: 1.4.2
    Database: Oracle 9i
    Objective: trying to add a row into a table
    Problem: 1. SQL statement never gets executed.
    2. Application freezes. I have to terminate it myself.
    Any Ideas?
    void addCourse(){
    try {
        DriverManager.registerDriver ( new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver () ) ;
       System.out.println("Driver registered");  //---> ok.
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection ( dbPath, username, password ) ;
       System.out.println("Connected");   // -----> it connects fine
       ResultSet rset = stmt.getResultSet();
       System.out.println("getting result set");  //-----> gets the resultSet fine
      Statement stmt = conn.createStatement();
      System.out.println("statement created");  //------> it creates statement
    7 = are the credits. Number on table. Length allowed 5.
    CS 500 = are the course code. Varchar2 on table. Length allowed 20
    Java = Actual course name. Varchar2 on table. Length 30
    3 = credits. Number on table. Length 5.
              // Prepare a statement to insert a record
              String sql = "INSERT INTO course VALUES (7 , 'CS 500', 'Java', 3 )"; //-->ok. Tested it manually
              // Execute the insert statement
            stmt.executeUpdate(sql);  //----> *** java program freezes right here.***
            System.out.println("sql executed");   //--> Checked table. SQL never gets executed.
    catch ( SQLException ex ) {   //---> no error messages thrown.
    System.err.println(ex.getMessage());
      System.err.println(ex.getErrorCode());
      System.err.println(ex.getSQLState());
    }

    Nothing looks amiss in the code... How long are you waiting before you manually terminate?
    Can you replace the executeUpdate() with execute and change the INSERT to a SELECT? Does that work normally (you should be sure to get at least one row to verify that it is working correctly)? Can you select and update a different table in a different tablespace successfully?
    Couple of possibilities (I know this is weak):
    1) You have hit a deadlock condition because the table is locked by another or same process.
    2) You are running into network problems.
    3) Your insert is being queued up in Oracle's transaction manager (if configured).
    4) Have you tried both the Oracle thin and Oracle OCI driver? Do they both fail without error?
    5) Can you turn off autoupdate and try the insert? Does the executeUpdate() return then?

  • Sql query not execute

    Hi Forum
    i made an application which run on JRun server.
    In many of my jsps i used sql query like this:
    " select id, name, rollno from student where add = 'jj';"
    and retrieve the record from resultset like this:
    rs.getString("id");
    rs.getString("name");
    rs.getString("rollno");
    I got no error.
    BUT WHEN I RETRIEVE THE RECORDS LIKE THIS
    rs.getString("name");
    rs.getString("id");
    rs.getString("rollno");
    i got the error:
    java.sql.SQLException: [Oracle][ODBC]Invalid column number <1>.
    I can not understand what is the problem ?
    all the datatypes are correct.
    all coding is correct.
    and everything is correct.
    pls help me & suggest a solution.
    is there any problem of jdbc API OR of JRUN SERVER SETTINGS?

    I would advise against ever using SELECT * - the order of the columns is undetermined so you're bound to hit this problem sooner or later. Besides, it assumes the column names and you know what happens when you assume things...
    I would recommend retrieving only the columns you need, in the order you want them and to call ResultSet.getXXX for each of the columns, in order.

  • Sql query not executed using recordset

    Hi All,
    I am trying to first format and then execute SQL query statement using recordset object with DI API. the issue is with vb.net's string formatting. I want to use 'USE [DB_Name]' statement in SQL and then 'Alter Procedure ..' statement. as this has to be the first statement in sql , I am using 'GO' in between and seperating each sentence with following syntax.
      Dim AltProc  as string
      AltProc = " USE [DB_name]" & Environment.NewLine
      AltProc = AltProc & " GO " &  Environment.NewLine
      AltProc = AltProc & " ALTER proc [proc_name] " &  Environment.NewLine
    '---------------------and so on
    Orec.DoQuery(AltProc)
    this formatting does not recognize new line and gives 'incorrect syntax near 'Go'' error.  strange thing is, if I take this query in SQL, it runs perfectly and I can see it getting formatted with each new line created. I tried even VbcrLf but it didnt work.
    any one has any idea?
    thanks in advance,
    Binita

    HI Binita
    The reason:
    GO is the "command" delimiter of MS Query Editor.
    It is not working with RecordSet Object.
    In MS SQL 2008 version you can define the schema before the procedure name but in SQL server 2000/2005 it is not possible.
    IN SQL 2008 use the Fully Qualified name instead of GO:
    Dim AltProc  as string
      AltProc = " ALTER proc [DB_name].[dbo].[proc_name] "  + vbcrlf
    '---------------------and so on
    Orec.DoQuery(AltProc)
    it is not working on MS SQL 2008 i have tried.
    'CREATE/ALTER PROCEDURE' does not allow specifying the database name as a prefix to the object name.'

    You are retrieving the fields in a different order than what is specified in the select statement.
    Some drivers don't allow that (I don't believe it matters what version of the driver you have.)

    SQL*Plus is expecting input from you; you terminate the statement by putting a forward slash or semi-colon just after your statement.

  • The process could not execute 'sp_repldone/sp_replcounters' error for Log Reader Agent and SQL Server Assertion 17066 & 3624 errors in SQL Logs

    One of our SQL Server started creating SQLDUMP file and and on investigation I found the error longs are filled with Errors 3624 & 17066. There is transnational replication configured on one of the databases is the LogReader Agent is failing error "The

    Not sure if both these Assertion & Logreader Agent errors are related. Before I remove and put the replication, I wanted to check if anyone has experienced the same issues or aware of what the cause.

    A system assertion check has failed. Check the SQL Server error log for details. Typically, an assertion failure is caused by a software bug or data corruption. To check for database corruption, consider running DBCC CHECKDB. If you agreed to send dumps to
    Microsoft during setup, a mini dump will be sent to Microsoft. An update might be available from Microsoft in the latest Service Pack or in a QFE from Technical Support.

    You need to determine if this error is a transient one or a show stopper one.
    It sounds like your log reader agent has crashed and can't continue.
    If so your best bet is to call Microsoft CSS and open a support incident.
    It also sounds like DBCC CHECKDB was running while the log reader agent crashed.
    If you need to get up and running again run sp_replrestart, but then you might find that replicated commands are not picked up. You will need to run a validation to determine if you need to reinitialize the entire publication or a single article.
    I have run into errors like this, but they tend to be transient, ie the log reader agent crashes, and on restart it works fine.

  • The SQL query is not executing

    Hi
    I have the following situation: In a project we designed our reports calling a stored procedure the exits in a MS SQL Server 200 database. The Stored Procedures works fine and when they are used in the report everything works perfectly.
    The reports are being made with CR DEsigner 11, when the designer ends them, ha pass them to me and we put them in our java web application. I open them and even preview them since the Crystal Reprots Perspective of Eclipse and I can see the data, so everything to this point is OK.
    The problem comes when I change of connection, I'm trying to connect every report to the same host and database, and when the reprot is displayed in the browser there is no data. I profile the SQL commands that are executed when the report is requested and I found that the reprot is not executing the stored procedure.
    I guess because i'm connectring the report to the same database and host that was used when the report is created and i'm also passing exactly the same parameters of the stored procedure, then report thinks that it doesn't have executing again becuase it will be the same information.
    SO, i wonder if there is a way to request to the report to execute the sql query every time i have to display it.
    thanks for any help.

    What happens when you try to view the report using a simple viewer.jsp?without changing the connection?
    2009-05-25 14:06:09,250 ERROR com.businessobjects.reports.sdk.JRCCommunicationAdapter -  detected an exception: Error de conexión: [SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]Error establishing socket.
    But the database server is ok, so i think the rpt needs more information to be connect to the database.
    Also what happens if you dont use the data bean and give everything there only?
    The same, the rpt is not executing the stored procedure.
    Did anything change on the RDBMS side? Additional packages, changes to the schema, ownership, etc?
    No, the server is ok and the database is ok.
    If you configure Log4J logging to DEBUG, you should see the database invokes from the Crystal Java engine, specifically the queries sent and the number of rowsets returned. Do you notice any errors?
    I have a problem here with log4j. In my project i'm using spring and with the help of spring i configure log4j, basically with spring is easier to configure log4j.
    I'm telling you this because i have log4j working but when my application reaches the code to change the connection to the rerport, log4j dies and stop sending any message to the stdout or to a log file. I haven't since this behavior in any other app o library. So i want to guess i have something wrong with my log4j or maybe with log4j+spring.
    So, i remove all the code of spring referring to log4j, but the problem with log4j wasn't solved.
    What i will try now is to remove spring from the project.
    This is my log4j.properties:
    log4j.rootLogger=DEBUG, stdout
    log4j.appender.stdout=org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender
    log4j.appender.stdout.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
    log4j.appender.stdout.layout.ConversionPattern=%d %p [%c] - %m%n

  • SQL Update statement not executing in Filter

    Hi,
    I am trying to update Documents table using the query resource in a custom component. The document table is requred to upate for vault file(1 row) and for weblayout file(1 row). The java code is executing in PostConversionFilter, the sql is defined in query resource.
    Query Resource is defined in componet like..
    MyQResource=UPDATE Documents SET dOriginalName = ?, dFormat = ?, dFileSize = ?, dExtension = ? WHERE (dID = ? AND dIsPrimary = ? AND dIsWebFormat = ?)
    This SQL executes for vault file means dIsPrimary = 1 AND dIsWebFormat = 0 however the same is not executing when for weblayout file dIsPrimary = 0 AND dIsWebFormat = 1
    I putting here final satement formed, got by systematabase trace as following
    For vault file:
    UPDATE Documents SET dOriginalName = 'XYZ009174~1.spdf', dFormat = 'application/vnd.sealedmedia.softseal.pdf', dFileSize = 0, dExtension = 'spdf' WHERE (dID = '9559' AND dIsPrimary = 1 AND dIsWebFormat = 0)
    For weblayuot file:
    UPDATE Documents SET dOriginalName = 'XYZ009174~1.spdf', dFormat = 'application/vnd.sealedmedia.softseal.pdf', dFileSize = 0, dExtension = 'spdf' WHERE (dID = '9559' AND dIsPrimary = 0 AND dIsWebFormat = 1)
    There is no error in logs, traces. I am using UCM 11g. in Documents table 1 row is updated for vault file only I am expecting for weblyaout updation also.
    Please help what could be the possible cause?
    Thanks,

    If I got your question, you state that you see a SQL statement in systemdatabase tracing, but it is not executed in the database? Btw. you should see further details (such as how much time the query took) if you turn on full verbose tracing.
    I'd just go and try to execute the same queries directly in the database (e.g. in sqlplus console). My guess is that there will be no record according to the second WHERE clause...

    Hi,
    I am facing a problem while adding a new parameter n my JSP Report JDBC query based on a ref-cursor from a stored procedure define in a package in database.
    No problem at database level, I have added the new parameter in package specification and Package body for that procedure and compile my package, it complies without any error and warning.
    but when I open the report and add parameter in the report JDBC query window, then it is generating a error message,
    "Err 62007: SQL Error: 99999 ORA-24338: Statement Handle not Executed "
    and I am unable to add the new parameter in report.
    e.g.

    I want to do this:

    and compile my package, it complies without any error and warning.That doesn't mean anything in this case. You are getting a runtime error, not a compilation error. The error is coming when you execute your procedure.
    Did you test your modified procedure in sqlplus or SQL Developer?

    What are you trying to do? What sort of data source is  SHALL-PCAdventureWorksDw?
    When you use EXEC() AT, I would execpt to see an SQL string to be passed to EXEC(), but you are passing an XML string????
    If you explain why you think this would work in the first place, maybe we can help you.

  • ADO function error:SQL execute.vi is not executable.

    Thanks for everyone who is willing to help me out of this problem that puzzled me several days,I can't find a similar one from Google or other forum..
    Problem:
    When I was using LabSQL,it come an error:

    "invoke node:invalid refnum class".
    What I used is Windows 7 and LabVIEW7.1.

  • SQL-Devlp. Freezes when not executing, but just clicking on Trigger to Edit

    Yes: SQL-Developer Freezes Every Time I Click on a Trigger just to edit it, even though the trigger is disabled. How do I get SQL-Developer to stop freezing-up and making me re-boot every time I even just click on a Trigger to select it, so that I can then rt.-click and edit it. Sometimes, SQL-Developer won't freeze immediately upon selecting the Trigger with my mouse, it will allow me to rt.-click to bring up the pop-up menu where I then try to click on "Edit" so I can change the same trigger, & as soon as I choose "Edit" SQL-Developer freezes-up -- must reboot.
    Also, one time I dropped a Trigger altogether in SQL-Developer, not just disabled it, but SQL-Developer was still launching the supposedly "dropped" trigger (the trigger also no longer appeared as an item under "Triggers" tree view) when I ran
    a SQL Script that did INSERTs: this supposedly dropped Trigger that no longer appeared anywhere in SQL-Developer was still executing (I could tell because I was getting ERROR MESSAGES in the Messages box) and the Trigger that I had executed the DROP command on from within SQL-Programmer really was only dropped and stopped executing after I re-booted. Can you help me?
    My immediate problem is the one above though. Do I need to create a Schema-Level Trigger to disable or drop all Triggers when I first logon (triggered by my logon system event), and then they will "CREATE" properly and stop freezing up and acting weird?

    Please add more details. Os, Java version, database version, sql dev version + patches + extensions, install type (with or without java)
    By 'restart', do you mean sql dev or the entire computer?
