Calling delete function!

Hi all I have a bean with my sql stuff inside! I also have a servlet calling the sql functions.
I have written my delete function inside my bean and then called the function from the servelet. I have then called used a JSP page to excute the view all records method, using the bean. I now want to add a link that will delete the selected record, which will call my delete method from the bean! not sure how to do this? Can some one please help!

Have the JSP submit a request to the servlet to delete the records. The servlet instantiates the bean, asks it to delete the records from the database, updates the new list of available records in scope, and sends the JSP that displays all the available records back as the response.
I think you've done this right - capture the database code in a bean, have a central servlet that handles all client requests, and let the servlet instantiate the bean to do the work. It's called Model-2 MVC. There are frameworks like Struts and Spring to help you manage it.

Delete functionality is not working

I have two EOs on two base tables PO_REQUISITIONS_INTERFACE_ALL and PO_INTERFACE_ERRORS and i have one VO having both EOs attached and have the sql query in the VO as below. I attached this VO in the AM. I have a page having regions style as 'query' and construction mode as 'autoCustomizationCriteria' and in that page i have two regions one is search region and another is results region. In the results region i have a button called 'Delete' and my functionality is when ever i click on Delete i am expecting the records should be deleted in both tables. But when i click on delete record is getting deleted only from PO_INTERFACE_ERRORS table not from PO_REQUISITION_INTERFACE_ALL table. Please let me know what needs to be done to fix this issue. I am also placing the CO and AM code below

Thanks..I changed and unchecked the 'Reference Flag' for Interface Lines VO while adding EOs in VO and it worked as it is deleting the record in Interface Lines Table also. But here i am getting one more issue on specific scenario.
My design of this development is as follow...
1. Search Page in which users give some search criteria and results will be displayed in the results region on the same page. For each results record I have two buttons like 'Update' and 'Delete' so that users can delete the record or can update the record. For update i created a one more page where users can able to edit and save the data.
Suppose I have one record in interface lines table and two records in error tables.When users given the search criteria and hit enter they found two records for same interface line. It means i have two records in error table and one record in interface table and both tables have same transaction id. So here user first try to update one record and it is working. After update he try to delete a record then I am getting below error. Please note that I am not getting this error when if i directly delete the record with out doing any update before delete.
Unable to perform transaction on the record.
Cause: The record contains stale data. The record has been modified by another user.
Action: Cancel the transaction and re-query the record to get the new data.

Tuning a procedure and using dbms_job.submit proc that call's functions

Hi
I have Procedure that have 3 curosrs which are nested one below with in each other
and it looks as below
it's structure will look some thing look like this

Here one loop is used for fetching 5000 records at time and
Here deu_process cursor is opened ,assume it fetches one record
Here another cursor dup_all is used for fetching the records and assume it fetched 400000 then
Here another cursor is opened name where it fetches 10 rows
Here logic is if first row then
call's stored function which has following functionalty
it compares fields such as address of outer most cursor i.e deu_process with all the address of the other rows i.e 400000 rows and return a number
if second row then
call's another stored function which has
compares other fields such as first name,last name
if third then other field
so on ....
up to 10
and then finally ends
so if i comment all the rules loop then it takes only one min to execute .If it validaes all of them if takes 14 minutes to execute .so there is problem in that 10 procedures to execute
So i found an approach to run all the rules simultaneously using dbms_job .But i face a problem that i can't uderstand how to send the input and out put parameter's to calling procedure.And these parameter's must be passed by variable from called procedure to calling procedure
Please suggest me what is the syntax of dbms_job with input and output parameters with variable's that must be passed as formal parameter's

I have looked at all sql trace file , 
I found that there is no problem in sql statemens all of them are using proper indexes execpt the folllowing statement 
 
SELECT nvl(COUNT(ref_appln_no),0) 
FROM ci_cust_dedupe_mast 
WHERE flg_mnt_status='A' 
 
This statement executes only once for 1*3,77000*10 times 
The function that i had sent previously executes more than 4000000*20 times . 
I think all it takes is only for iterations that are caused

Its not me deleting them. Perhaps a different moderator or a technical problem within SCN itself.
Someone might be concerned about your question because it is very basic.
You can call a function module from WD the same way you did in any ABAP program - with the CALL FUNCTION syntax. There is a service call wizard that will generate a matching context and calling code for you - but it is just a helper, code generator. Everything it does can be done by hand as well (and often better than the generator).

I fix the problem.
I have carefully reviewed JAVASCRIPT files and I could see that these are not a major influence within the site, only are reference code and utilities of the same application.
By removing these files nothing has stopped working, I thought I would have some error in the sliders, or opacities, but no, nothing happened.

case(1) i have function without parameters, it does some DML operations inside that and it is working fine.when i refresh i see tables getting populated.

Can you give some idea or solution to get rid of this problem.
Finally ..i did not see anything under item radio button (The recommended way now is to click the Items radio button, find an item that you want to pass to a parameter, then on the right-hand side highlight the placeholder for the parameter, then finally you click the Paste button. You repeat this for all the parameters and then click OK to finish the calculation.

You can create a compound key of Cat + SubCat (concatenation in a logical column is a quick win) which will render the SubCats unique and assign that as the logical level key:

Calling a function which has a CLOB parameter via an anonymous block.

OK,
we are moving a lot of exports currently done by Crystal to just be done by stored procs.
So we have a load of existing, some extremely length SQL statements used for these exports.
IN the exports, we have meaningful column headings, so we have a 'lookup' file where all the column names are listed with the desired column name text listed against it.
So - to make our lives easier(i thought) , I have written a Oracle function to extract al;l of the column names as a list (see below).
It works fine except for when I am trying to pass in a SQL treatment that is longer than 4000 character.
What I want to be able to do is simply have an anonymous block that callls my function, I will be running this via SQL explorer.
Something like......

Also, I am going to need to be able to pass in SQL ststement longer that 4000 characters as weel so please bear that in mind.

Calling a functional module in SAP

Hi
We have a require ment like we need to update the details in SAP by calling a functional module, the data comes from a legacy which deletes immediately after it sends to XI by using a webservice, It is XI responsibility to update the details. In case SAP is down , Can we preserve this message and update SAP as and when the SAP is Up.

Here small question is what about the old messages that were failed due to Connection Failure or SAP down.

Actually there is no way to write C code with C++ functions (as well as you can't call Pascal functions).
But you can create function in C style to call C++ function.

Calling php functions from sap

hi all,
 I have to call the php functions from the r/3. my requirement is that I have to read the mail from the internet adress([email protected]) through php and then send its content in r/3.For that I have to write function in php which are rfc enabled and then call those function in r/3. Can anyone help me in calling the php function from r/3 and how to get the content of mail in r/3.I have to create php as a server and r/3 as client.

Call Library Function Node: library not found or failed to load

Hello,
I had a VI that could not find some of the dll functions it needed. It works on one machine and not on another. So foolishly I copied the dll in question from the working machine and pasted it over the one on the non-working machine.
Now all my math functions are broken on the machine I copied the dll too. The error is "Call Library Function Node: library not found or failed to load"

I tried a repair labview and that did not help.
I tried uninstall and reinstall labview and that did not help!

What library did you first copy?
Also lvanlys.dll depends on the Intel Math Kernel Library that gets installed in a different location "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\MKL".
This Intel Math Kernel Library again depends on the Visual C runtime libraries. Most likely you replaced one of those runtime libraries somehow and now the Math Kernel Library (MKL) fails to initialize which causes thelvanlys.dll to fail its load.
Without a good view on your system and what other NI software you have installed it is very hard to recommend a good way of proceeding. There are various versions of the MKL used by various versions of NI products and just deleting the entire MKL folder might get you into trouble with other NI tools.
Deinstalling everything from NI, deleting the entire National Instruments folder and then reinstalling what you need would be the most safe proceeding.
And next time don't just copy some Visual C runtime libraries between machines. Their dependencies are complicated at the least and simply not graspable by us mere mortals. Use the according C runtime installer for the version you need as that installer will take care of installing the right versions of C runtime components and registering everything proberly so you do not usually run into problems with other applications using different versions of the C runtime.

Call library function node - function not found

When creating a DLL I get a the Labview error "Call Library Function Node "LabviewReceiverDLL.dll:readDataJ1939Data' Function not found. Everything looks correct to me and this used to work, though I've changed computers since then.
This is the beginning of my C++ code just to show my function name. I've also attached the Call Library Function Window to show my setup.

You mention that you have changed computers and that it used to work before.
Could it be that there is another (older) copy of the DLL on this computer, and LabVIEW is loading the wrong one?
The simplest way to check is to close your VI and delete the one you are expecting it to use. Then open the VI again; if LabVIEW doesn't ask you where the DLL is, it is loading it from somewhere else.

Deleted function module--urgent

Hi all,
By mistake i deleted a z* function module. From version management when i cannot get the function module back. when i press the retrieve button i got an error message saying " deleted function module cannot be recovered".
So please help me in recovering the function module.

I am checking old programs that are going to be copied to new upgrade version... one of them calls a FM that no longer exist, I guess that it was deleted...
I am looking for a way to find a deleted FM (if it was deleted), I just have the FM name, but I don't have the function group.
I guess that without it, it isn't possible to retrieve any old version, if there is one, is it?
Maybe looking in a table? looking for any change request (by the way, my user do not have authorization for SE03).

ADF data table with Add,Edit,Delete functionality

I have a adf page where I need to implement add,edit,delete button.
