Calling GRC NWBC in SAP Portal

I have a requirement where current GRC users are required to use SAP Portal for GRC requests.
I tried to create URL iView calling NWBC but have been facing layout issues. Layout is very short and unable to change even if I use FULL PAGE layout.
I have already tried creating NWBC launch iView but it shows a blank screen along with NWBC screen.
Please guys help me out with this situation.
Please do remember that our Portal is on HTTP while NWBC is one HTTPS.

I'm trying to call GRC v10 NWBC with the help of "Launch NWBC" standard iView.
What currently happens is like the moment I click on the NWBC icon in the Portal, it opens a window within portal which BLANK and actually GRC screen (attached screenshot) and at the same time it opens another window that has NWBC and works absolutely fine.
If someway we can stop showing GRC main screen in the Portal which is blank. It will help me solve the problem.

  • Adobe Form called from SAP Portal, not executing interface global init code

    Hello!
I have an adobe form called from both R/3 and SAP Portal and I need to show long text dinamically calculated.
The deal is at the SAP Portal execution, as scenario characteristics don't allow string definitions, I'm using 255 characters tables (QISR_TAB_TYPE), that I'm trying to convert inside form interface (Global init code).
The problem is that the interface global init code is being executed when the form is called from R/3, but it is not at SAP Portal.
Does anybody know how to manage this? It's kind of a problem that the BAdi method int_service_request_init doesn't allow types over 255 characters... and if it is not possible to access the form interface code section (maybe there's any way)... i need to find some code section where i can convert tables before the form context is filled!!
    Thanks a lot!!

    Diana.

  • Java App from SAP Portal - SSO2Ticket call - java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError

    Hi
I am facing a problem in trying to call a java application from SAP portal.
    *Cause:*
This java application is built on Unix (AIX) server. Previously it was running fine. Then there is a Tech Upgrade on SAP side in our company. After that I have been told to test whether the Java Application is getting called correctly or not.
    Error:
I am getting the below error
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com/mysap/sso/SSO2Ticket
Also when I am checking the log entry all I am able to see, there is error in SSO2Ticket.verify() method and the error is
    Error during initialization of SSO2TICKET;       com/mysap/sso/SSO2Ticket.init(Ljava/lang/String;);
    Effort:
I checked all possible aspects what ever came to my mind and found in this forum so far.
    1. com/mysap/sso this package is there.
    2. SSO2TICKET class defined in that package
    3. The JAVA_HOME and CLASSPATH are defined correctly ( I guess so)
    4. Even the "libsapsecu.o" file is present
I am not sure why still this error is coming. Am I missing something here? Or what ever I have mentioned above 1-4 I am not getting them correctly.
I am new to this kind of native call technology. Please help me on this.
    My concerns are :
    1. Is the package com/mysap/sso should be in a specific location, which I am missing.
    2. Do I need to revisit my CLASSPATH set up for JAVA?
    3. Is any change required to the libsapsecu.o file?
    4. Most of all what on earth can I do to overcome this?
    5. After Tech upgrade do they need to do some sort of thing to make the Java native call available, which they might have missed? Does any one aware of any such thing?
Please let me know the answer asap.
    Thanks
    Santanu

  • ESS in NWBC or ESS in SAP-Portal

    Dear experts.
I am begin with the configuration for ESS & MSS and I have the following doubt:
    1. What roles should I use if use ESS in NWBC?
    2. What roles should I use if use ESS in SAP Portal?
With this two option , What is the better option for work ESS? And who should define what option use (Basis)?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

    Hi Juan
we can Use T-code LPD_CUST & PFCG based on the scenarios, you can use SAP_ESS_EMPLOYEE_WDA_2 Composite Role from PFCG.
Having EP is a benefit for using WDA & WDJ services, but if you go for NWBC you only have a provision to use WDA. if you are in EHP 5 then few services are still in Java & its not suggested much to use NWBC. For NWBC we don't need to buy any licenses as it comes by default. only thing we need to do is to activate the appropriate Business Functions.

  • SSO between SAP Portal 7.3 and Ruby on Rails

    Hello Everyone,
We are planning to integrate SAP Portal 7.3 and a RoR application and I am wondering If someone can share some experience (If you have any of course) on how to establish SSO between SAP Portal and RoR.
The SAP Portal will act as service provided and RoR as a consumer, we don't have LDAP, so the Portal UME is in ABAP and RoR uses an own UME database. We have SSO between our Portal and SAP Backend systems.
In RoR customers will have access to their own information (Invoices, etc..) that will be provided by the backend system.
URL transaction and iFrames is not an option for us.
The second option is to call Web Services, directly or through the SAP Portal (we are using a central sr).
I am a NetWeaver consultant who heard about RoR but have no experience in this field.
All help and tips are greatly appreciated!.
    Regards,
    Ridouan

We used Client certificates. Still working on the PoC.

    Hello Rupachandran,
the memory id won't work as it is within the current session only.
    you have two main options:
    1) pass parameters in URL
    2) persist the parameters somehow ( shared memory area, database table )  and pass a GUID in the URL which refers to these.
strangely enough although this is a mirror of most of the posts here, which want to launch WDA apps from standard GUI based code, the techniques are very very similar.
you might get some help from looking at this recent post Calling webdypro through R3 Function module

    Hi
    Just a  wild guess but.....
Is your backend set up to accept logon tickets.  I assume the logon ticket is being created from the portal end so you will have to configure R/3 to accept logon tickets from the portal.
Check the parameter settings for single sign on in R/3
    login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

  • GRC 10 - SSO via Portal - how to redirect url in notification variables

    Dears,
I am in the process of designing our GRC 10 machine to be accessed via SSO in the Enterprise Portal. Yet I cannot find any info on what will happen with the URLs that are placed by ARM MSMP workflow in the variables of notifications/approvals.
I typically would (as in 5.3) expect a redirect URL to be made available as an option.
As an example: the Firefighter Log notification standard holds a variable pointing the URL to :
    http://GRC10server:GRC10port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/grac_ui_spm_log_email?sap-client=001&sap-language=EN&WF_ID=53FB8FEAC9E260D6E10000000AF90C44&APP_TYPE=1
Yet now with SSO via the portal we also want this URL to go via the portal instead of directly to the GRC machine. How can we achieve that?
Is there a configuration way to have GRC10server:GRC10port adjusted to the portal address..
(mind that the WF_ID segment in this url is dynamically generated, so directly sqeezing in a static portal url is not an option)
    Cheers,
    Jim

    Hi Neeraj,
Thx for your reaction. This unfortunately will not do the job as pasting the URL in the notification template will make it static. The problem is that the URL inserted by default is a dynamically created one which holds a variable pointer to a workflow object id.
Now i am researching if a custom build portal redirect application will do the job. But there must be others having the same problem if you want the GRC iview in the portal to be the 'one-stop-shop' for your GRC users...
    Cheers,
    Jim

  • Vendor user in SAP PORTAL

    Hi experts
I am configuring EBP-SUS and my vendors will use for bid responses, but ineed the vendors access SUS via SAP PORTAL, so when vendor receive an e-mail with user and pass to create a adiministrator after create a user bidder that must have access in SAP PORTAL to receive bids, the problem is in Supplier Relationship Management - Supplier Self-Services - Master Data -Maintain Systems for Synchronization of User Data I can use only logical system and the creation is done using RFC call, and SAP PORTAL IS a java aplication.
    Some help will be welcome.

    Hi Nilson,
Can you please explain the issue with more clarity.
    Thanks,

  • Access denied (Object: com.sap.portal.system/security/no_safety)

We are implementing EP 6.0, currently with SP11. We have developed some iViews, which are using RFC functions to get information from backend system, in this case SRM.
Everything worked fine, till the day we’ve transported those developments into other systems (production and testing systems). We are getting the following error Access denied (Object: com.sap.portal.system/security/no_safety). This error only comes out if the iView is called from inside another one, if called isolated it works fine.
Does any one have any idea about how to solve this?

Hi AA, you can find in the log file in order to identify what is the object that you need to add in the security zone.
You can find information for the security zones on:

  • Consume an existing WebService over an SAP Portal Application

    Hi all,
I would like to consume an existing  Web service, which has been implemented under AXIS 4 1 and deployed to a tomcat 4.1 installation.
I've developed an SAP Portal application with NWDS (Dynpage-Structure), which has to call this web service. For this, I've generated a standalone proxy client over WSDL of this WebServie under WebServiceWizard of NWDS and called it from my Portal Application, without success :(. But when i call it (proxy) from a standalone java client (Class with main-Method), it function.
Can anybody help me, for calling this WebService

    Ahmet Büyükyilmaz

    Hi Ahmet,
open a browser on your portal server (or try telnet) to check if you can access your axis server. Seems like you have some firewall or routing probs.
Just enter your web service uri in address bar of the browser to see if you can get a connection. If you do not have a browser, try:
    'telnet <axis-server-name> 80'
from command line. Does anybody listen?
Is your web service designed to be used by anybody? Or do you have some kind of authorization issues?
    HTH,
    Carsten
