Calling mysql stored procedure having insert sql commands within cftransaction is not getting rolled back

Hi,
cftransaction is working perfectly when all the insert
updates are called by cfqquery.
But when there is a mysql stored procedure call with in
cftrnsaction and that mysql stored procedure is having many inserts
and updates, cftransaction is not able to roll back insert/updates
happened in stored procedure.
I am using InnoDB tables/database of mysql.
Did anybody faced a similar problem and is it a coldfusion
bug or mysql bug.
We checked with Java and java is able to roll back the
transaction, but coldfusion cftransaction is failing.

I believe the syntax of your formatted search is not right. I guess you are trying to get the U_Width from Item Master and the other values from the current form.

If you see I have added a third parameter which is the Type to the formatted seach field selection $[$Item.Column.Type]
I have made then all 0 but you may change it as per the col type. This Type should be 0 for Char type columns, Number for numeric columns and Date for Date type cols

My source DB is SQL 200R2, Destination is Oracle Client. I am getting following error in dataflow task:

Kindly help, It would be very thankful if there is any solution for this.

How to execute stored procedure in the SQL Commands page

i'm oracle express edition newbie :) i have this stored procedure. it not belong to a package.

Firstly, I tried out with execute() and getMoreResults() to check if the statement is returning result set. - Its returning "null" only.
Secondly, I tried with following one by one :
1. Find a new jdbc driver
2. Write a different stored procedure.I am using DB2 Express edition - DB2 v9.7.0.0
I have the required jar files - i)db2jcc.jar ii) db2jcc_license_cu.jar
From these I found the available jdbc drivers as -
i) com.ibm.db2.jcc.DB2Driver
ii) COM.ibm.db2os390.sqlj.jdbc.DB2SQLJDriver
iii) com.ibm.db2.jcc.uw.DB2StoredProcDriver
I tried out my code by using each of these drivers, but still returning result set as null.
Moreover, I changed my stored procedure which has cursor returning result set. In this case also, result set is null.
Code snippet for this SP is -

Error when calling a stored procedure from a SQL Script

Apologies if this is a really dumb question but I can't seem to call a procedure in package from a SQL script. I have a simple package.procedure containing a loop to populate a table. I would like to include a call to this procedure from my database install script, that also includes my CREATE and INSERT statements. I run the script using "@install_databae" and the CREATE and INSERT statements run fine. The script gives an error when it reaches the line below:
exec lazarus.PopulateGridPositions;
and gives the error.....
BEGIN lazarus.PopulateGridPositions; END;
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-04063: package body "LAZARUS.LAZARUS" has errors
ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "LAZARUS.LAZARUS"
ORA-06512: at line 1
The procedure and package have both compiled without errors and the statement on its own works fine in SQL*Plus.
I've obviously missed some fundamental concept with scripts and SQL. Please can anybody help me?

And just checking:
You have schema called LAZARUS, which holds a package named LAZARUS, which holds a procedure called POPULATEGRIDPOSITIONS?

CallableStatement - Calling a Stored Procedure having Null parameters

Hi,
Could anyone please let me know how I could call a PL/SQL procedure or a function from a JDBC
method using CallableStatement? The procedure has 4 IN parameters - Param1,
Param2, Param3, and Param4. Values are available for Param1 and Param2. Param3
and Param4 have NULL values. Param3 has a SQL datatype of NUMBER and Param4 has
a SQL datatype of Varchar2.
We are using JDBC 2.0.

Problem solved :
ArrayDescriptor + oracle.sql.ARRAY + String[] objects corresponding to the Oracle TABLE object.
There are many examples on the web, but I just didn't manage to make them work before posting.

Creation of DB Adaptert for calling stored procedure in MS SQL server

Hi,
I need to create a DB adapter to call a stored procedure in MS SQL Server.
I have gone thru the thread MS SQL Server database connection
It mentions that we need to use a command line utility for generating the wsdl and xsd for calling stored procedures in MS SQL server. Please provide information where to find this utility and how to use it.
Any links to tutorials are welcome.

Command line is required for stored procedures, if you are using the basic options you don't need to worry.
(1) Download MS SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver from Microsoft Site. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/data/aa937724.aspx
(2) The download is self extracting exe file. Extract this into Program Files on your machine. It should create folder as "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver"
(3) In above mentioned folder search for sqljdbc.jar copy this file into JDeveloper\JDBC\lib folder.
(4) Open JDeveloper/jdev/bin/jdev.conf file add following entry.
AddJavaLibPath C:/Program files/Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC/lib
While executing this step make sure that your JDeveloper is closed.
(5) On command prompt go to J Developer folder and execute following command
jdev -verbose
This will open JDeveloper.
(6) Now go to JDeveloper > Connections > Database Connections > New Database Connection
(7) Select Third Party JDBC
(8) Specify MS Sql Server User Name, password and Role.
(9) In connection page specify following
- Driver Class: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
- For class path browse to C:/Program files/Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Driver for JDBC/lib folder, select sqljdbc.jar add it as library.
- Specify URL as following.
jdbc:sqlserver://SERVERNAME:1433;databaseName=MSSQLDBNAME;
(10) Go to Test page and test it.

Calling stored procedure from embedded sql

I'm trying to call a stored procedure from embedded sql. I'm following the examples located in

I have the following section in my .pco file before precompiling.

T-sql 2008 r2 place results from calling a stored procedure with parameters into a temp table

I would like to know if the following sql can be used to obtain specific columns from calling a stored procedure with parameters:

Calling a stored procedure on SQL 2008 server

This might be easy one, but I tried different things just cannot get it to work.
I am trying to call a stored procedure in SQL 2008 R2 server using Type 4 driver (sqljdbc4.jar) with JR.
The stored procedure basically has one input and two outputs

Ok. I have an alternative to get it to work now.
Instead of using index number, I am using the parameter name now. It works as expected and more intuitive any way.
Ex.

DB Adapter calling stored procedure in MS SQL Server.

i am calling a stored procedure in a MS SQL Server.
I configured a Datasource for MS SQL Server driver as Oracle's MS SQL Server Driver(Type 4) Versions: 7.0 and later and provide all db details of sql server. I tested the data source and was getting success message. My BPEL code is just talking with input parameter and then calling the stored procedure in sql server. I was able to compile the code in jdeveloper and deploy to weblogic. But when i am testing the code. i am getting an error.

Relation between WLCS_ORDER, WLCS_ORDER_LINE is one to many.
For each WLCS_ORDER row, one or more order lines will insert into WLCS_ORDER_LINE table.
For each new row in WLCS_ORDER table, I have to update the following columns in both the tables with my maths.

I thought I can do this in after insert trigger, But if it is not possible, Please give the best way to fulfill this requirement.

I can call my procedure direct in SQL Server Management Studio without any errors
declare @res nvarchar(10)
execute ClientTest @res OUTPUT
print @res
But when I try to call this procedure from C++ using CALL syntax
SQLBindParameter(sqlstatementhandle, 1, SQL_PARAM_OUTPUT, SQL_C_CHAR,
SQL_VARCHAR , 40, 0, version, sizeof(version) ,
&pcbValue);
res = SQLExecDirect(sqlstatementhandle, (SQLCHAR*)("{CALL ClientTest(?) }"), SQL_NTS);
I get the Error 2809 with SQLSTATE 42000 and with statement
The request for 'ClientTest'
(procedure) failed because 'ClientTest' is a procedure object.
However, if I wrap my CLR stored procedure into a T-SQL stored procedure, like
CREATE PROCEDURE myProc (@res NVARCHAR(40) OUTPUT)
AS
EXEC ClientTest @res OUTPUT
and call then myProc instead of ClientTest
res = SQLExecDirect(sqlstatementhandle, (SQLCHAR*)("{CALL myProc(?) }"), SQL_NTS);
everithing works fine and I get 50 as result.
I have no ideas what is the reason for that behavior.

Process Return Codes and Output Parameters (ODBC)
To see if it also behaves differently for your CLR proc.
