  • How to make call out from XI to external applications??

    Hi,
    I have XI running on my system.
    I want to know if there is any possibility to invoke
    or to make call outs from XI to external applications
    like java.If yes what is the procedure for that.
    Thanks in advance
    Sunita

    XI will need a triggering event to do this. That is, if you can send a message to XI, then using XI you can route the message to a Proxy and from the proxy (which could be a java proxy) you can make a call to a java program outside XI. But, basically, XI on its own will not make a call, but it needs a triggering message. So, you can configure a file adapter to send a triggering message from a file system to the intergration server, and configure routing rules so that the messages reaches a proxy.
    Warm regards,
    Venki.

  • How to call ejb from a Swing gui application client?

    Hi Everyone,
    I am new to EJB and I have question for calling an ejb from a Swing GUI application client. Can anyone give me an example of how my Swing GUI can call an EJB from a SUN ONE Application Server. If anyone can give me some insight, I appreciate it.

    I have looked up various sources and just can't get it to work. I know I have to use the lookup() method, but I have also seen lookups using IIOP://servename......
    Context ctx = getInitialContext();
    DemoHome dhome = (DemoHome)ctx.lookup("demo.DemoHome");
    or
    Context ctx = getInitialContext();
    DemoHome dhome = (DemoHome)ctx.lookup(java:comp/......)
    so can anyone tell what is the difference between using iiop://servername..... as the lookup string and java:comp/......
    and if using java:comp/ what does this mean? Does it mean that lookup() method is looking for the ejb somewhere in this directory. I would really appreciate if someone can give an example of a Swing GUI calling a ejb from an application server and how the code is actually doing the lookup in and what are each steps it goes through.
    Thanks

  • Calling OWF from customer build web application

    All, All the example that I've read from OWF documentation is assuming that you builder the workflow from OWF Builder and manage it thru OWF manager, monitor is thru OWF Monitor. I'm wondering if it is possible to monitor the workflow and manage the workflow from customer build web application. Since we don't want our users have to login several times and use different URLs to get into the customer build application, then manage the workflow and monitor it via different urls. Anybody has experience doing all from one application can provide any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Well, I did my JSP pages doing selects to OWF tables and OWF java APIs. I used owf pl/sql procedures as my reference. For example, I need to know how to create actions buttons. I looked at wfa_html procedure and looked for how it was doing that.
    Any doubts just ask,

  • Calling portlet from a normal web application

    I have the following question:
    I would like to deploy portlets on Oracle Portal and "call" them programmatically from a home made web application running on the same Oracle Application Server where the portal runs.
    As I am running my web application on the same server I would like to avoid WSRP and SOAP calls.
    I am aware of the existence of the new Web Center and the possibility it gives to include portlets in web application ... but I cannot use the Web Center for now mainly because of licensing problems and application server versions.
    Is there an API (Java, PL/SQL or anything else) allowing to "call" a portlet deployed on Oracle Portal ?
    Thanks for the help.

  • Is it possible to call msync from within an EVB Application?

    Does anyone know how to run mSync from within an embedded visual basic application?
    Some sample code or documentation would be particularly welcome.

    The following is taken from the Windows CE documentation that ships with 9i Lite:
    Table 3-16 ISyncOption Public Properties
    username -> Name of the user.
    password -> User password.
    syncParam -> Synchronization preferences. See Section 3.7.2.4, "COM Interface SyncParam Settings" for more information.
    transportType -> Type of transport to use. Only "HTTP" type is supported currently. The default value is HTTP.
    transportParam Parameters of the transport. See Section 3.7.1.5, "Java Interface TransportParam Parameters" for more information.
    syncParam documentation is (also taken from the same document):
    The syncParam is a string that allows support parameters to be specified to the synchronization session. The string is constructed of name-and-value pairs, for example:
    "name=value;name2=value2;name3=value3, ...;"
    The names are not case sensitive, but the values are. The field names which can be used are listed in Table 3-17.
    Table 3-17 COM Interface SyncParam Settings
    "reset" -> N/A Clear all entries in the environment before applying any remaining settings.
    "security" -> "SSL" "CAST5" Use the appropriate selection to choose either SSL or CAST5 stream encryption.
    "pushonly" -> N/A Use this setting to upload changes from the client to the server only, download is not allowed.This is useful when data transfer is one way, client to server.
    "noapps" -> N/A Do not download any new or updated applications. This is useful when synchronizing over a slow connection or on a slow network.
    "syncDirection" -> "SendOnly" "ReceiveOnly" "SendOnly" is the same as "pushonly". "RecieveOnly" allows no changes to be posted to the server.
    "noNewPubs" -> N/A This setting prevents any new publications created since the last synchronization from being sent, and only synchronizes data from the current publications.
    "tableFlag [Publication.Item]" "enable" "disable" The "enable" setting allows [Publication.Item] to be synchronized, disable prevents synchronization.
    "fullrefresh" -> N/A Forces a complete refresh.
    "clientDBMode" -> "EMBEDDED" "CLIENT" If set to "EMBEDDED", access to the database is by conventional ODBC, if set to "CLIENT" access is by multi-client ODBC.
    Example 1
    The first example enables SSL security and disables application deployment for the current synchronization session:
    "security=SSL;noapps;"

  • Calling Portal iView from a WebdynPro ABAP application

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement where I need to call an iView in my portal from the Webdynpro application also existing in the portal.
    Can anyone provide me the method with source code( if possible ) to call an iView existing in the portal from the WebDynPro ABAP application.
    Best Regards
    Sid

    Hi Siddharth,
    Well, I think you can go for Portal Navigation concept.
    Please check the required source code in WDR_TEST_PORTAL_NAV Web Dynpro component. That will illustrate both Page based Navigation and Object based Navigation.
    Hope that should solve your problem.

  • How to call webservice from Java application

    Hi XI gurus
    Pls let me know how to call a webservice from Java application.
    I wanted to build synchronous interface from Java Application to SAP using SAP XI
    For example, i need to create Material master from Java application and the return message from SAP, should be seen in Java application
    Regards
    MD

    Hi,
    If your  JAVA Application is Web based application, you can expose it as Webservice.
    JAVA People will pick the data from Dbase using their application and will send the data to XI by using our XI Details like Message Interface and Data type structure and all.
    So we can Use SOAP Adapter or HTTP in XI..
    If you use HTTP for sending the data to XI means there is no need of Adapter also. why because HTTP sits on ABAP Stack and can directly communicate with the XI Integration Server Directly
    If you are dealing with the Webservice and SAP Applications means check this

  • Calling a soap web service from a java desktop application

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how to call a soap web service from a java desktop application? I've seen examples using Apache Axis, but it sounds like Axis needs to run on a web server and we are trying to avoid that. My initial thought was that, "of course we need a web server", but I'm wondering if there is a way to do this without a web server.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    thank you,
    Julie

    If you are the consumer you don't need any web server. The web server is only needed in the provider end.
    In java 6 there is a built in framework to call web services without the need of third parties (such as apache axis)
    take a look at:
    https://jax-ws.dev.java.net/guide/Developing_client_application_with_locally_packaged_WSDL.html
    http://java.sun.com/webservices/technologies/index.jsp
    For the provider end there is also a built in http server to expose web service via HTTP without the need to
    use any external web server.
    take a look at:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/xml/ws/Endpoint.html

  • How to call the RFC's from the third party applications or Non SAP applicat

    Hi,
    For calling RFC's from the wedynpro , SAP has provided the modeling concept.
    In the same way, if i want to access or call the RFC 's from the third applications or Non SAP applications what is the procedure and what is the methodoligy.
    As per my knowledge, we need to expose those RFC's as webservices . Then we must be able to acces in hetrogeous environment from any third party applications..

    hi all.
    i want to create my own log for each interface.
    i saw this blog:
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2006/09/20/xi-abap-mapping-logs--more-standard-better-visibility
    my doubt is how to catch the error that i see in SXI_MONITOR y put it in a Sub-Objetc.
    For example: in sxi_monitor i get the error for my interface NMUCustomer: "No receiver could not be found" or "Error Mapping Traformation".
    I created an Object called ZNMUCUSTOMER and a Sub-Objetc called ZERROR.
    what i must do to get the error I see in monitor and assign it to Sub-Object??
