  • How to call a webService from WebDynPro ABAP ?

We are trying to call a webService from WebDynPro-ABAP application. It is not working, While if we are calling the WebService from a Report, it is working.
How exactly do we call a WebService from a WebDynPro-ABAP application?
What are the main steps involved ?

    Hi Phani,
You will need to create a service call as follows.
Right click on your WD component name and select Create->Service Call
The wizard will guide you through a series of steps to make a Web Service Call. On the 3rd screen, it will give you options such as Function Module, Web Service, etc
Before making a service call, you will need to create a proxy for the Web service in the ABAP Workbench using a WSDL document as a basis. To create or consume Web services, you will need the authorizations associated with the role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN.

  • Reg calling Transaction code in Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi All,
Can I call Transaction code in Webdynpro ABAP Portal Application. If so, how can this be possible? Can anybody give me a lead?
    Thanks.
    Kumar Saurav.

    Hi,
The most easy Way is here:
    1) Test any Webdynpro Application from SE80 when the webdynpro Browser opens to display output
Copy its HTTP link, Suppose we get the below link
    http://r3d01web1.Siemens.dk:8001/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/z_dynamic_view?sap-client=002&sap-language=EN
    2) Now replace some part of the above link ( webdynpro/sap/z_dynamic_view?sap-client=002&sap-language=EN )  with the new link part ( gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=PA30 )
So that the newly generated link is such that the below one:
    http://r3d01web1.Siemens.dk:8001/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=PA30
Note in place of PA30 you can put any of your desired tcode.
    3) Now Just Make a webdynpro component and in its View layout put a LINK TO URL ui element
and in its property REFERENCE just past the http link ( http://r3d01web1.Siemens.dk:8001/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?~transaction=PA30 )
    4) Activate and test your webdynpro Application.

  • EHS Report Near Miss  Webdynpro abap Enhancement.

    HI Experts,
I need to add two fields in SAP EHS Report Near Miss Webdynpro abap application ( standard application ). Let me know how to Enhance the standard EHS Report Near Miss step by step.
    Thanks & Regards.
    Krishna.

    Hi Bhushan,
If you want to add 3 radio buttons, then first of all you have to append one field in EHHSSS_INC_BASIC_INFO_ALL_D structure with Fixed Domain values.
Then you need to enhance EHHSS_INC_REC_NRM_QAF_V3_BSCI component Configuration.
In that Configuration you need to add field with display type Radio Button Group, with column count 3.
Kindly refer the following snap for the same.

  • Calling Dynpro components in Webdynpro ABAP.

    Hi friends,
Could anyone tell me how to call webdynpro components in DC's in Webdynpro ABAP.
    Regards
    Sireesha.

    Hi Sireesha,
In WebDynpro(WD) ABAP, we do not have DC methodology. We can save the WD components and appliations in package. We can call WD applications using
    1. OBN
    2. if it is embeded in portal, then we can use portal navigation
    3. We can also reuse the WD component in another WD component, by component reusability concept.
    Best regards,
    Suresh

  • How to call the rfc in webdynpro abap..?

    Dear Experts,
I need to add two numbers using RFC in webdynpro abap.
First we have to give the input then click the submit button.. The result will be shown in next screen with addition of two numbers...  Please help me in this...
    Thanks.

Calling an RFC Function module in Web Dynpro ABAP is nothing different from Classical ABAP
use Pattern button to call function module and use DESTINATION syntax to specify the RFC destination
    http://www.octavia.de/fileadmin/octavia_files/content_bilder/Hauptnavigation/SAP_NetWeaver/WebDynpro/Web_Dynpro_Part_II.pdf?PHPSESSID=c528a60bf8857431c0fa6f6595639da7
In Above document, page no 7, there is a wizard for Service call, in that 4th step is select service where
you can specify the function module name and the rfc destination name

  • How to call report program from WebDynpro Application

    HI
How call  report program in WDA.
    1. To extract the xml files and store the data in to data base table, program name is "zprogram_application".
When run the se38 it's working fine and save the data in database.
    2. When i click "SUBMIT" button the web dynpro application automatically run the Report program "zprogram_application" and save the data into data base table. This is my requirement please give me suggestions.
    3. I want run the report program in web dynpro application.
    Thank you
    V.VENKATESH

From within the WDA Event handler you can call the program using SUBMIT ... AND RETURN.  You might have to be careful with what the program does.  It must run as though it is in the background.  There is no connection to the client machine - so no SAPGUI calls.  You might also consider the addition VIA JOB job NUMBER n...  to the SUBMIT command.  That will allow you to start the submitted program as a background job.  Your WDA can then continue processing as the submitted job runs in parallel.

  • Generic reporting tool in webdynpro abap

    Hi Experts,
Can you please let me know if GRT(generic reporting tool) can be used in Webdynpro ABAP application created using FPM.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sonbia

    Hello Sonia,
what is the GRT? I've had a search through SCN and cannot find any reference to it - is it a standard SAP product? I would appear to me not to be - and as such I'd guess that there isn't any standard UIBB for it.
If it is a custom solution - then if it is developed in WDA then it should be relatively simple to wrap it in a UIBB layer and embed it into an FPM application.
If it's not developed in WDA, then I'd suggest that the answer is a clear "No".
Do let us know what you mean by GRT - perhaps provide a link to some SAP help about the product?
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Calling adobe form from webdynpro abap view

    Hi,
I need some help. The situation is: I have created a Adobe form interface as well as a form using the SFP transaction. Now, I have a webdynpro screen with a button, which upon pressed must give the output of the PDF form.
    I tried the following steps:
    1. Call function 'FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME'
    2. Call 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
    3. Call the generated function module name
    4. Call FP_JOB_CLOSE.
The procedure works fine when I use the same code in a report program. It opens a dialog box where there is a option for Print preview and it displays the PDF.
But when I try to replicate the same, it does not work in Webdynpro for ABAP. Any suggestions as to how to go about this problem?
    regards,
    Praveen Kumar

    Hi Praveen
there is documentation on the Web Dynpro for ABAP integration of Interactive Forms in the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/aa/940ee5331b4b8fa0a6cb6714dc5db4/frameset.htm which should answer most of your questions.
You specify the form to be used during the design of your Web Dynpro application (you are prompted to determine it when you insert the UI element).
You can save the form from the Reader toolbar, the question would be why would you want to do this and not use a proper download screen.
A proper tutorial is planned to be available in June. Until then, check the ABAP page in SDN for some e-learning / webinar recording), or directly here: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/media/uuid/c766e918-0b01-0010-99b1-c2b78cd059b3

  • Calling SAP Transaactions in Webdynpro ABAP

    Hi All
I have a requirement, i have 4 link to actions in view, and created different views for all links. I creat viewuielement container in mainview and i embed all views in that. Now I want to call sap transaction when i click perticular link to action and i have to display perticular transaction in that view. is it possible in webdynpro or only in portal side.
    Thanks
    Madhan.

    Hi Madan,
Yes It is possible in WDA as well as in Portal.
we can use ITS for tat. In View Container UI element call view in which u have to create  IFrame then set this url to the IFrame :
    http://<domain>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=800&~TRANSACTION=<transaction name>
since IFrame is deprecated u can call this in external window using Window Manager.
reply me if u need some more clarifications..
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Kiran
