Can a Shinntto camera connectin kit work on a ipad3

Just bought an ipad3 and a Shinntto camera connection kit . I have loaded a SDHC card with a file and called it DCIM,then put 4 JPEGS in it. When I connected them to my ipad 3 I get a message NO IMAGE AVAILABLE.can anyone held please . Ps I have tried another camera connection kit -and it is the same.

Probably a little late in the day, but I solved this by making sure that the sub diretcory PAN_104 (my camera is a Panasonic) inside DCIM, with the pictures in that.  Also, picture names have to be in camera code eg P1040217, etc for me.
Of course, now that Apple have changed the connector on iPad 4, your Sinntto will no longer connect.  Thank you Apple for shafting all of our existing technology for the sake of profit.  One time Microsft used to be the bad boy!

    I bought the Camera Connection Kit because a tech said it would work with my iPod Touch, but I get the message that the iPod does not support that connection. I would really like itt to work because I have used an older iPod to back up photos while on vacation. I would simply connect the camera up to the iPod and it would download all the photos from the camera. It was an excellent way not to have to buy lots of SD cards. This kit has a slot for an SD card and I could copy directly from that. So if anyone out there knows how I could make it work, I'd appreciate your input.

    Is your MacBook Pro new?  Did it come with Lion preinstalled?  If not do you have the iDVD application in the Applications folder? 
    If not I suggest you purchase a copy of the iLife 11 disk from Amazon.com or eBay.com or other 3rd party supplier.  Apple does not sell iDVD any more and those items are getting harder to get.
    Once you obtain iDVD go to iPhoto and bring up the slideshow.  Then use the Share ➙ iDVD menu option. That will send the slideshow to iDVD from which you can burn a video DVD disk. 
    I suggest you follow this workflow while working in iDVD:
    Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process. 
    To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
    Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

    grrr...i love apple products, but that the camera connection kit does not work with an iphone 4(s) make me angry about some apple philosophies. it is a good example of user restrictions from apple which make me feel like i am in a kindergarten.
    that the camera connection kit does not work with my iphone, makes no sense to me.
    hardware quite the same like ipad, nice screen with balanced colors (iphone looks good compared to my calibrated eizos) and screen size more than enough to do some basic edits.
    would be great sometimes to import and post/email photos from my camera, when i am on the road.
    i do not always want to carry the ipad with me.

    No, not at all but because that isn't what you asked for. The Camera Connection kit is to connect a digital camera or SD Card for the purpose of importing photos. If you want to connect to a television it requires something completely different.

    HDMI is essentially DVI plus the audio channels, so yes, video + audio.

    Bought the New iPad and the Camera Connection Kit yesterday.During a world wide tourist trip, I want to be able to transfer jpg-pictures and mp4-movies from my mobile phones microSD card to my iPad.
    All sales personell, at different shops, including an "Apple Specialist" assured me that this was no problem.
    All of them know that my mobilephone is not an iphone, it is a Nokia N8-00 with Belle version of Symbian.
    But at home, I found that the iPad does not find any of the picture/movie-files.
    How can I get the iPad to understand where to look in the file system on a microSD card.
    I also tried the USB-cable solution, but it did not accept the mobilephone. "does not support...."
    What to do? Return all the equipment to the store?

    You could try a powered USB hub to see if this solves the problem.

    Since I have my iPad 2 i can't import my photos by the kit in the iPad 2, but still works on iPad 1.
    I don't know why, because no error messages are displayed or something else.
    In both cases I used the same accessories (SD-Card) and the iPads are the "big" versions incl. the 3G.
    Could anyone can help me?

    Try:
    1) To restart (reboot) Press and Hold the Home and Power buttons until the Apple Logo appears, about 10
      seconds.
    2) If that doesn't work, try a reset. To reset go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset.
    3) If it's still bad, you can try a restore from within itunes. (Sync first)

    It won't as the Sony DSC-HX9V records video into MTS files and not into MOV ones. Sorry - there is no way you can watch or even import(!) your movies on an iPad without using a desktop computer.
