Can ant call a target from my build.xml from another xml file?

can ant have a target something like this:
<target mytarget>
<antcall file="C:\app\build2.xml" targetname="blah">
</target>
Is it possible to call a target in my build.xml that will then look in a file called build2.xml and call a target in that xml file?
Thanks,
Tad

I looked at the manual and the site and couldn't find anything, you don't have to tell me the exact xml if
it bugs you, all I want to know is if it is possible and if it is what task should I use, I will look up
the attributes and how to do it.Now this really takes the biscuit.
I gave you a very specific link to the document that tells you which task to use and which arguments to set. Did you check that link? If so, what else do you want? If not, why not?

  • Can LabVIEW call a function from a .sys file or is LabVIEW limited to dll access?

    My vendor has sent me a .sys file with functions accessing their hardware.  Can i call these function from labview directly or do I have to wrapper the .sys with a dll?

    Well a sys file is a kernel device driver. LabVIEW does not have any direct way of accessing such a driver. The way kernel drivers are accessed is usually through a DLL which makes calls to WinAPI functions such as CreateFile(), ReadFile(), WriteFile(), CloseHandle() and DeviceIORequest(). Since these WinAPI calls are basically just DLL calls too, you could theoretically use the Call Library Node to call them and access the kernel device driver in such a way.
    However for any kernel device driver with more than one or two device driver calls, it will certainly be easier in terms of development, debugging and maintenance of the code, to write actually a dedicated DLL in C/C++ for this device driver and access that DLL from LabVIEW, especially if you consider the LabVIEW datatype limitations when designing the DLL interface (Basically this same DLL can then be called from any other Windows development environment, be it Visual Basic (similar datatype limitation as LabVIEW), Delphi, (Visual) C, LabVIEW or also various scripting environments like Python and Lua.
    Some of the necessary WindAPI calls are rather involved and pose quite a bit of trouble to get the parameter data right in LabVIEw.

    hi

    In class one I want to check what is the value of action.
    How can I call action?

    Thank you scorbett
    what you told me worked fine, but my problem is that MyClass2 is an application by itself that I don't want to be executed.
    Creating myClass2 as in the following:
    MyClass2 myClass2 = new MyClass2();

    executes myClass2.

  • How can i call one report from another report (Drill Down Approach)

    Hi Friends,
    I've two reports in completely different layout format.
    One is in Crosstab & another is in Tabular.
    Now i want to call my Tabular report(report 1) from my Crosstab (report 2) without using BO's default drill down feature. Or, you can show using BO's feature if it supports my requirement.
    How to do that?
    Is it at all possible?
    Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance for your time.

    hi
    you can use openDocument for this.
    [http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31/en/xi3-1_url_reporting_opendocument_en.pdf]
    I would suggest to use variables that build the HTML code for the hyperlinks dynamically, and display them in your crosstab. Set the display option for the related cells (ie. the cells where your variables are displayed in) so that the cell's contents as interpreted as HTML code.

  • Calling a method from another Java file.

    I think I'm doing this right, but I'm obviously going wrong somewhere.
    In order to not have one big long java file, I've created one main one to execute the program, and another to do some of the functions. I'm using eclipse, btw.
    In the main file, I have
    currentTB = getActiveTB(playerArea);If it works, it should get send the player area variable to the getActiveTB method, and store the value it returns in the currentTB variable, right?
    In the other file, I have;
    package scenes;
    public class sceneIndex {
         private TerrainBlock getActiveTB(String areaCode) {
              TerrainBlock tBlock = new TerrainBlock();
                     **DOES STUFF**
              return tBlock;
    }I have it set up so the second file is in the source folder "resources" and the package "scenes." The problem is I'm not calling it properly. I'm missing something simple, I think. The only error I'm getting is;
    The method getActiveTB(String) is undefined...
    Where am I screwing up?
    EDIT: Yeah, I'm a rookie here trying to figure it out on my own. My computer science courses, so far, conveniently all consist of just one big java file. Easier to write, sure, but not very efficient/organized.

    Yeah, so this is still pissing me off. I'm not sure what else to do. I've tried this a million different ways, in both eclipse and netbeans. Whatever. Here's the code, I'd love it if someone could point out the boneheaded mistake I'm making. I'm getting a little frustrated at being stuck on such a simple problem.

  • Calling a servlet from another servlet?

    Hi
    I would like to know that how can I call one Servlet from another Servlet. I have tried getServlet() method of ServletContext but it has been deprecated. I want to call a specific method of the other Servlet, is there any other way?
    Thanks

    I should have seen it from your previous post :(
    Code of Servlet 1:
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,
    HttpServletResponse response) throws
    ServletException, IOException
    RequestDispatcher rDispatch = null ;
    rDispatch = getServletConfig
    ().getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher
    ("/Servlet2") ;
    rDispatch.forward(request, response) ;
    System.out.println("Back in 1");
    I assume Servlets 1and 2 are in same web app and you've mapped your servlet2 to /Servlet2 in your web.xml
    make it as
    rDispatch = request.getRequestDispatcher("/Servlet2");
    rDispatch.forward(request,response);
    Nothin's wrong with yer servlet2

    Hi Vishal,
    Just try to Embed the another WD Component into Component Controller first.
    And then Create a View and map it to window as U regularly do,
    then in Window- Explore the tree until that View, now open Context Menu for Embed View Option and from the scroll U get search for that WD Component U wanna Embed.
    U also have to handle Plugs here, Because the result application required some parameters to be passed that U do from ur first application by passing  those values through Plugs.

Can anybody give a way that i can easily install apache ant on winows.
    It would be greatly appriciated if u can send me some advice to over come this problem.

    build.xml is the default build file assumed by ant. You have to provide a build file to control what you expect from ant to do.

  • Accessign webservice result from another mxml file

    HI,
    I have an mxml application that uses the <mx:webservice
    function to load a wsdl and get some values. I have tested the code
    and it works fine and i can get the result and fault methods
    correctly.
    I would now like to call this service from another mxml file
    and use access the result or fault string accordingly.
    example scenario would be that when i load my main page, i
    would like the lookup values obtained from using the webservice to
    be available.
    i tried the following but didnt get any luck. Here lookup is
    the mxml file which contains the webservice, which i am importing
    in this file. GetLookValuesWithAuth is the operation name.
    var l:lookup=new lookup;
    var s:AsyncToken=l.es.GetLookupValuesWithAuth.send();
    s.addResponder(new mx.rpc.Responder(onSResult,onSFault));
    public function onSResult(e:ResultEvent):void{
    Alert.show("value is");
    var xy:XMLList=XMLList(e.result);
    lplist=xy.descendants("LOOKUPVALUES");
    Alert.show("lookup is
    "+lplist.toXMLString()+xy.toXMLString());
    public function onSFault(e:FaultEvent):void
    Alert.show("Fault is "+e.toString());
    An example of the webservice call in lookup.mxml is shown
    below
    <mx:WebService id="e1" wsdl="{wsdl "
    result="resultHandler(event)"
    fault="mx.controls.Alert.show(event.fault.faultString.toString())>

    I have no idea about web services, but it seems to me you

  • How can i call a servlet from a servlet ?

    Hello,
    Can i call a Servlet from within a Servlet ?
    and is it "right thing" to Do ?
    Thanks

    JMO, but I wouldn't do it like this.
    Don't have a remote object like a servlet doing database queries for your app. That will mean TWO network hops for every query if the database resides on another machine. The network is the biggest bottleneck you've got.
    Write a JavaBean that does the database stuff for you and just have the first servlet instantiate it when it needs it. A Bean has a better chance of being reused, too. Write a TableGateway or DAO for your object.
    Or write an EJB to do it.
    The only time I've done a servlet-to-servlet connection like that was for one servlet running in a DMZ that would authenticate a user and then forward the request to another servlet running inside the second firewall.
    I wouldn't encapsulate database query logic in a servlet like that. JMO - MOD

    Two difficulties I can see with this.
    First the application seems to allocate the array of references
    internally and return a pointer to that array. In that case there must
    be another function which then deallocates that array again.
    Then you would need to setup the function call to have a pointer to an
    int32 number for the deviceList parameter and another pointer to int32
    one for the plItems parameter.
    Then create another function in your DLL similar to this:
    HRESULT WRAPIEnumExtractDevice(WRAPI_NDIS_DEVICE *lpDeviceList, long i,
    CHAR lpszDeviceName, LONG lenDeviceName,
    CHAR lpszDeviceDesc, LONG lenDeviceDesc)
    if (!lpDeviceList)
    return ERROR_INV_PARAMETER;
    if (lpDeviceList[i].pDeviceName)
    WideCharToMultiByte(CP_ACP, 0,
    pDeviceList[i].pDeviceName, -1,
    lpszDeviceName, lenDeviceName,
    NULL, NULL);
    if (lpDeviceList[i].pDeviceName)
    WideCharToMultiByte(CP_ACP, 0,
    pDeviceList[i].pDeviceDescription, -1,
    lpszDeviceDesc, lenDeviceDesc,
    NULL, NULL);
    return NO_ERROR;
    Pass the int32 you got from the first parameter of the previous call as
    a simple int32 passed by value to this function (and make sure you don't
    call this function with a higher index than (plItems - 1) returned from
    the first function.
