Can anyone help me get the tab back?
On my itunes, usually when my ipod is plugged in there will be a tab on the far right side that says "on this ipod". When you click it will show you the music, but it isn't there anymore, so i can't see what music is on it.
Do you have the Ask toolbar, that one is know to cause this problem. If you have the Ask toolbar if you uninstall it opening new tabs should work again. There is a compatibility issue with the Ask toolbar and the current version of Firefox.

If I go to Control Panel/Sound I have the Realtek Digital Output (Optical) selected and when I go into the properties of that device I can highlight Dolby Digital, hit the test button and I do get the test sound in all of the 5.1 speakers BUT in game (BF4 and BF3) or anywhere else I can't get the surround to work, everything is just 2 channel?Quote from: RipGroove on 01-December-13, 23:58:04

Ok, I had just forgot to check those the other day with my surround headphones, that's why I asked, lol.
I did some digging around, apparently you are not the only one with this issue. Seems Realtek might sort of be your culprit. I didn't fully get everything I read, but the long and short of it is that DVD/Movies etc are coded 5.1 and simply pass through the optical...while the game's surround need to be generated...and it is, but only through the analog outs...not the digital. Confused yet?

Question: Do you have an ATI card? I wonder if you ran your sound out of it via HDMI if that might work? Depends on your receiver really, my receiver takes the audio and video in via HDMI then spits it out to my TV. (That way I can plug multiple devices into it.) If you have an ATI card and a receiver like mine you could probably pull it off, otherwise you will need a better sound card.

I can anyone help me get the audio to work on my iPad with ios7?
I just updated to ios7 and the sound will not work with my aps at all. If I plug in headphones it works. If I go to the settings and adjust the volume there I can hear it but then when I go the aps it still does not work. I have done the general setting reset. I have tried powering off with the home and power button. I have tried plugging and unplugging headphones. If I push on the volume buttons on the side nothing happens. At one point today the sound did start working after I did a general setting reset all for the millionth time but now I got back on my iPad tonight and the sound is gone again. I have even tried doing a restore through iTunes. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance!
Have you looked for debris in your headphone jack?

We are in indonesia travelling and after downloading and installing Yosemite, on our next restart the screen went black and responds to nothing. Tried to reboot (shift key) in safe mode after first crashing the system but nothing responds except for the opening chime. Toal disaster so any help will be greatly appreciated. Judging by the comments I have read, Yosemite seems to have many issues for us to look forward to, if and when we can bring back the Mac Book Pro to life.
See if you can boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down). There you can reinstall the system.

Can anyone help me change the DOB on my sons profile for his apple I'd so I can setup family sharing? I originally put both ids in my name. You can not change the date of birth on the account. Apple makes that clear up front when the account is created.
The only way to "fix" this is going to be for him to create a new account with the correct information. Any apps purchased with the old one will need to be re-purchased with the new account. They can not be transferred. -

It does allow putting the tabs all the way at the bottom, but I don't like that either.
PLEASE, give me the address bar at TOP with tabs under that!!!

Can anyone help me get my iMac to reboot? I get a gray "curtain" over the light gray start up screen with a message that I need to restart my computer and to hold the power button until it powers off and then press the power button again to restart. It just does this over and over again and won't restart.
Yeah, as necronym stated, it is a hardware issue and more than likely a RAM problem. Disconnect everything from the computer except keyboard and mouse and try again. If it still happens try removing one and/or swapping your RAM sticks over. Keep trying until you have eliminated all possible combinations. Just put a mark on one RAM stick so you know what have tried. If it still fails to boot properly you should probably replace your RAM, but that is no guarantee of success. Have a look at this link for more info on a Kernel Panic.

For some reason, the Flash Player on my MAC Pro stopped working, I've checked the install on my Adobe Flash Player and the are current, but the plug-ins don't seem to be working. Can anyone help me get it working?
It happened w/ my MacPro 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon about 5 months ago; tried everything I could think of including multiple downloads of Flash, and hadn't seen any solutions here. Adobe insisted many times that I download & update, but the newest vers. wouldn't work on the computer.
On checking Adobe/Flash was reading the computer as being an earlier model. So the new version of Flash wouldn't work w/ it. Snow Leopard 10.6.8 was being read correctly but not the computer model (can't remember what MP model it was reading).
Nothing worked. So -- a very old PC trick: If nothing else works get the hammer out and bludgeon it-- might work. So I reset everything by putting the Snow Leopard install disk in, held down 'C' on restart and let it run.
Didn't take anything off the HDD first, just ran the install disk over everything.
The experts on the forums are probably cringing right now & I'd like very much for them to jump in. Love to know how my computer model was being mis-read. All I can say is, for the brave and desparate, it worked for me. Something to keep in mind.
It helped that I had a new computer on order & have 2 backups, one being mandatory. Might work only the one time but worth a check.
