I can restore the artwork (and make my apple tv see the movie exists as well) by going into the movie library and clicking on each movie by hand, slecting get info, and then selecting enter. Now doing this 10 times in 20 days was fun and all BUT I would really like to automate the process so everytime itunes screws it up I can fix it easier.
I saw this example of an itunes script that restores artwork for music

Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

Hello. I am trying to change the colors on my ical. I have been able to select a calendar group, click "get info" and then "other" in the color options and which point a a lot of color options are available. HOWEVER, I can't seem to select the color. When I turn on my Imac it chimes then goes to a grey screen and starts a loud continuous beeping sound. It's only 6 months old - I put new memory in when I first got it and up until now there was no problem at all. Can anyone help me get it up and running again?

Verify a disk
As an alternative, you can verify that the filesystem on the disk is correct. You will not be able to repair the file system.
I suggest that you use disk utility to verify that your startup disk is OK.
Macintosh-HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility
Start up disk utility. On the left pane view, you will see a list of all your disks.
Click on your startup disk.
Click on the First Aid Tab.
Click on verify.
Hopefully your disk will verify. If not, you have to boot from your installation DVD and run Disk Utility from there to attempt to repair your file-system.

Can anyone help me sync calendars from my iPhone to my Mac and help me figure out how to edit or delete lists in Reminders? I thought upgrading to Mountain Lion would work, but I'm having the same problem as before under Snow Leopard. So, here's my situation.
I'm running 10.8.2 on a Macbook Pro. I have a 3GS iPhone running 6.0.1. I can make entries on my Mac Calendar and they will show up on my iPhone, but if I make an entry on my iPhone, it never makes it to my Mac. Also, I notice that when I log in to my iCloud account on my Mac, it has a "me.com" email address as my apple i.d., but it is not my primary account i.d. and I can't figure out how to delete it. Also, my Reminders application won't allow me to delete lists I created. Contacts, on the other hand, work instantaneously regardless of where the change is initiated.On you iPhone check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar (in the calendars section). Here be sure you have selected the Calendar listed under your iCloud account ID as your default. If you haven't, make this change, then enter a new event on your phone and see if it syncs properly now.
You should be able to delete you reminders list by, from the Lists view, tapping Edit at the top, then tapping next to the list you want to delete and tapping Delete. -

When I get songs and put them on my itunes accout on my computer I used to be able to rename them right clicking, going to "get info" and then renaming everything I wanted like song name, album and artwork. I also use to be able to click on the song then click and hold on it and be able to rename it. But all the songs I have gotten after the last update have not been able to be renamed in any of the old ways I use to be able to. Is there any other way to rename songs because I know I can't undo updates and that seems to be whats causing it.

Can anyone help me. I have iPhoto 9.2 and Mac OS X 10.7.2.
Every time I open iPhoto 9.2 and try to go to photo stream iPhoto quits unexpectedly. When I reopen I get "iPhoto has detected inconsistencies in your library. Please click Repair to avoid any potential problems."
I have read plenty of the posts on the subject and it seems that deleting the "3ivx" fixed the problem. I looked at the detaied reports and see where it says "
Library/Application Support/3ivx" etc..
On my report it says "/Library/Application Support/iLifeMediaBrowser/*/iLMBiPhoto8Plugin". Does this help with an answer?I am also having this crashing problem. I am running lion on a 2010 mac mini. My iPhoto library is kept on an external drive. I just upgraded to iPhoto 11 and everytime I try to enable photo stream the app crashes. Hi, I have audio recordings available in a secure "member only" area of my website. Unfortunately, from time to time, some recordings stop working. I only find out about this when my students / clients tell me. I don't understand why this occurs or how to fix it. Can anyone help? Rita

It could also be an internet issue for the user?
The other is that if the are long mp3 files, the server times out the request.
I would log a support ticket with BC and be as specific as possible to the nature of the issue and if there is a way to replicate it. When the Student / Client tells you about the issue it would also be good to get there browser version and platform details to try and create a replicable error that can be solved. -

As I said in title , I have alot files (e.g. 60 files) and I want to write a code to copy 5 columns (for examples) of special sheet of files and paste them in one file respectively. For perceive it I explained it more below .

The name of this file is 2006Oct and assume my excel files are like "2006Oct, 2006Nov,2006Dec,2007Jan ... 2010Dec". At first I should go to "my files" sheet of 2006Oct file and copy columns " A,B,C,D,E,F " that has "PerturbationNumber=1"
respectively and then paste these to a file that is output file and repeat this process for the other files ( 2006Nov and etc ) and paste data in output file sequentially.

I have the following script that is supposed to search AD for all user accounts that haven't logged into the domain in more than 90 days. I first did not have the where-object clause because I didn't realize the search-adaccount would provide results
back of users that have never logged in, but were created less than 90 days ago. So I tried to incorporate the logic to not include user accounts that were created in the last 90 days.

Can anyone help me with a script to pause and restart an application?
I am setting up a Mini to control a Canon still camera, using Canons EOS utility app to shoot at a certain interval. However I would like to pause the action during the night. In my dreams I also would like to read the countdown of the EOS app to remotely start a timer that starts and stops a spinning glass (rain deflector), via USB?
I realize that these are two different tasks, but are they possible?
To break it down:
1. At a certain time (8pm) to pause the application, so the result is that the camera stops shooting.
At 7am the action is to resume.
I would rather not quit the applications since I would loose my settings, interval and camera settings
2. The EOS app is counting down towards the next shot. The action I would like is that 1 min, prior to the end of countdown a pulse is given (via USB?) to the relay controlling the rain deflector.
That relay runs it for 2 mins and then powers down.
I have this set up analog now, with 2 relays and it works fine, however it would be nice to be able to remotely change the interval setting of the camera and the rain deflector would follow suit.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.I can help you for the future. Regularly back up your computer to an external hard drive (or cloud alternative). If you have your library backed up, it could be reinstalled on your new computer. In your current situation, you will have to reload all of your CDs as syncing of non-iTunes purchased music is only one way (Computer to iPod)

Hi, Firefox on my desktop keeps crashing at just random moments. Sometimes not very often at all, but other times it can happen a few times within an hour.
My Desktop Window Manager also crashes regularly and the dialogue box always pops up saying its stopped working. However, this doesn't seem to effect anything.
It could be realated though, as I just had this desktop built a few weeks ago and a few times it's crashed as well as programs.

If I have 50 files in C:\MyMusic and want to
Match Volume in Soundbooth CS5 how can I write a script to do that?The only other way I've seen to do this with a library of that size is SoundConverter by Steve DeKorte. It would be time consuming to do, but there is a feature to "normalize volume" on all files being converted. Th other drawback is that as long as you are " converting" from mp3 to mp3, you have to save the "converted" files to a different directory. It won't overwrite during the normalization process.
I had a library of more than 92,000 songs in 14,000 folders and 46,000 subfolders up till last October. I had gone through it twice to "clean up and mormalize" it over six years' time. The transport seized on the drive as I was preparing to back everything up on DVD, and I was unable to recover the data on the discs when it happened. I was duly distraught when I lost all that music, but as I look back onthe last eight months, I've had a lot less hassles from "tinkering" with all those files all the time.
