This question is for Logic Express.
I have many very short audio clips that I recorded into my project.
I want to adjust the project tempo so that I can use the snap grid to make a beat out of my short audio clips. But when I change the project tempo, it automatically adjusts the lengths of my audio clips.
So how can I change the tempo (and the snap grid) of the project without altering the original audio clips?

The reason some files sound funny and others don't is because audio is handled a few different in Garageband depending on it's source (audio your recorded vs Apple Loops vs non Apple Loop pre recorded audio). Each of these have different color regions with different properties. I just found this thread that might better explain it:

We can not change the pricing date for perticular line item at billing document level, the only option is we can enter the required date at the time of invoice creation in VF01 screen.
If your requirement is copying the same pricing date that is entered at sales order, then do the following.
Go to T Code:VTFL and choose your DElivery Type and Billing Type, then choose your item category and then change the pricing type as 'D' .

Request offering- how can I change the template

I am trying to edit a request offering. I created a new template with different activates and wanted to apply that template to existing request offering. However, I can edit every field except
change the template which is grey out. It is a same behavior for all my service offering. I tried to delete a template and got the error down below. I do not remember I did anything unusual(if I know what I am doing with this product). When I was creating
a template I chose the option to create a new MP , use that template for a new service offering and do not remember I got any error when I published it.

You cant delete the template because it is linked/related to at least one request offering. Service offerings aren't linked with a template.
It's not possible to change the template of an existing request offering. You have two options:
Create a new template and a new request offering
Copy the existing request offering. The wizard will offer to create a new copy of the existing template.

I have a requirement like
1) based on organization choosen the TAB NAME AND TAB LABLE name in tab canvas should be changed dynamically. can this happen?
example: In forms i gave the NAME and LABLE OF TAB (PROPERTY PALLET) as *'TAB_INITIAL'* and *'TAB_INITIAL'* respectively .
when org_1 is choosen , lable should be changed to 'TAB_ORG_1' .
when org_2 is choosen , lable should be changed to 'TAB_ORG_2'. can the NAME also be changed dynamically??
2)Similarly can we change the ITEM NAMES present on this tab based on organization selection?

I can not change the control level of the item attribute "Inventory Asset Value" from Master Level to Org Level. It's show me the message "FRM-40200: Field is protected against update".

Can't change sort settings for multiple items in iTunes 7.1

iTunes 7.1 introduces a great feature—the ability to set a separate Sort Name, Sort Artist, Sort Album, etc. This means that "Weird Al" Yankovic songs can finally appear down among the Y's instead of up at the top of every list, by changing the Sort Artist to Yankovic, Weird Al.
Unfortunately, this feature is fatally crippled in 7.1. As far as I can tell, you can only change the Sorting information on individual tracks. When you change the information for multiple tracks, the Sorting tab doesn't show up. This renders the feature all but useless.
Let's say (hypothetically) that your friend is an enormous nerd (in theory) and your friend has 139 "Weird Al" Yankovic tracks (for the purposes of this example only, of course). Instead of just selecting all these tracks at once and changing the Sort Artist to Yankovic, "Weird Al", I (I mean, he) has to retype this information for each individual track. That's crazy! Surely this must be a bug.

I just found the solution to this myself.
In a very un-Apple way, this is an undocumented feature only accessible by right- (or control-) clicking.
1. Change one track to your desired sort settings (for instance, set the Sort Artist to Yankovic, Weird Al.
2. Right-click on that track. In the contextual menu that appears, there is a new submenu called "Apply Sort Field." If you choose "Same Artist," it will apply your new sorting information to all your other tracks by "Weird Al" Yankovic (or, if you are not a huge nerd, any other artist you substitute).

I can't change the volume of the background music in my project even if I put it to 0%

I can't change the volume, I've tried to put it down with Itunes, stop and start again my computer but nothing work... PLEAAAAAASE HELP...

Solved it, there was a problem of the same music put it twice!

How can I change a template's color?

I have selected the template called "Flyer" from the Flyers section of the template chooser. I am trying to change the green bar it has on top to a different color, but every time I click on the edge of it, it brings up an I-bar for the cursor to change the text in it. I can't seem to select the green bar to change it's color.

Worked like a charm! I was close I think, but I had highlighted the text and it kept leaving green areas at the ends. Just having the cursor blinking in the text field did the job. Awesome Jerry, thanks!
Two additional notes:
1) I had more than one line in this situation, and the solution corrects the one line I had my cursor on. No big deal, I fixed one line, then placed the cursor to the next and did it again.
2) I was using the custom color picker magnifier in the upper left of the color palette to match the new color to another document. I had to close out the palette and do Jerry's suggested procedure again for the next line. It was quick & easy though.

Can you change the factor on each item in the same pricelist!

In the pricelists, if you go in them you'll see it shows the item code, item description then base price, factor and then the price. But can you make that factor different for each item in the same pricelist? In the database it stores the factor for each item.

First-of-all you should know that you are not supposed to override SAP Business One data in the database through SQL...
In the application the factor column is read-only in case it is displayed.
This indicates that the factor is not expected to be different per item. Instead, if you change the item price, the "Manual" flag gets automatically checked.
I.e. either you use the factor for the price list for the item as well - or you specify a manual price.
These are the scenarios expected by the applications logic.
If you change that (violating the rules not to use SQL for writes), you do that at your own risk and risk unexpected behavior.

How can I change the File-- Open menu item?

In Bridge CS4, I want an option to open a selected JPEG photo in Photoshop CS4, which I believe would be the File-->Open command. However, in that menu item I only have the option of selecting ACDSee Pro to open a file with.
Is there a way to change this menu item so that I can select Photoshop CS4 to open a JPEG with?

Thanks John. Go into the Windows Folder options and associating CS4 with JPEG fixed the problem. In fact, when I do File-->Open now in Bridge CS4, all of my photo editors appear on the list.

Can I change a template animation?

I would like to change the color of the brush that goes across the bottom of the screen in the apple template "brush cover"
More specifically I would like it to be black with a color at the end that looks like paint. Is this possible and if so how can I do it?
I can probably figure out how to make the change, I just can't seem to even be able to access the brush animation to find where the file is located..

It will be...an interesting challenge.
The elements that make up the menu are the Brush Cover NTSC.dsptemplate package (do a search for it in your finder window...otherwise it's in Hard Drive:Library:Application Support:DVD Studio Pro:Apple:Templates)
You'll have to Control-click the package to Show Package Contents. And the mask of the brush movie and what seems to be the image it's displaying are buried in the Brushstrokebrown folder (and then I think it's 'contents' and 'material') The files have names that look like serial number strings. I think changing the color of just a portion of it is going to be a challenge, as it is set to be a mask that reveals the image (which is just a big block of color). So while changing the color of the whole brush stroke should be easy (just change the color of the image), changing just a portion isn't, since it isn't an animation per se.

How can I change the order of list item properties in the alert email sent to the assigned-to owner?

I have an Issue list configured to send an email to the assigned-to owner (List Settings | Advanced settings | E-Mail Notification = Enabled). I have since added columns to the Issue list. All of the data from my columns appear in the email alert but the
newest additions show up at the bottom of the list in the alert email instead of in the column order I have defined (List Settings | Issue Content Type | Column Order). However, if I click the "Mobile View" in the alert email I received, the Mobile
View does have the items listed in the column order.
Why are these different and how do I get the email alert to match my column order?

Actually the view which you recieve requires the column ordering to be the way you prefer. So whatever is your default view, change the column orders and then check the email alerts.

In PM order, can we change the material description for item category N?

Hi,
In Plant Maintenance work order, is there a way to change the material description while purchasing material (item category N) using a material master number? In config. the material description field is open for input. However on the work order components screen it becomes grey as soon as one enters a material master number.
Background: We want to maintain generic material master records in the system and use them for purchasing materials (item category N) on work orders so that the purchasing data defaults from the material master. But we need to be able to change the description per the specific requirement.
Similar functionality works on sales orders. Are we missing anything?

One solution would be to have some generic materials created and used them during work order processing. These generic materials needs to be extended to all the required plants.
