Can I change the Open Officedouble-arrow Word Scrollbar to a normal one?

The scroll bar (a blue dot with double arrows going up and down) c in my OO Word 3.1 causes uncontrollable up- and down scrolls at the most inopportune times. How can I convert this pesky feature to regular, controllable one- arrow scrolling? Thank you

Thank you for your reply, Thalia. I am using Firefox, so I assumed that it had something to do with Open Office. That same racing scroll bar also shows up in my Hotmail at times. What would be my best contact bet? Thanks!

    Is FF downloading the file as a .txt file? If so, go to "Folder Options" in the windows control panel. Click on the "File Types" tab. Scroll down until you reach the TXT file extension. Look to see what that extension opens with (lower part of panel). It probably shows notepad. Click on the <Change> button. Scroll down until you find "Microsoft Word." Select it and click the <OK> button. That should show the TXT extension is now associated with Microsoft Word. Click the <Close> button at the bottom of the panel.
    If FF is downloading the file as any other type, use the same process as above except look for the corresponding extension instead. If the extension is not listed click on the <New> button and create an association using the extension in the file name and then associate it with MS Word.

    Type about:config in the address bar. Find browser.download.dir and change it to the path you want. Remember that Android has a linux base so the path will similar to /mnt/sdcard/downloads/

    Okay, I haven't found a way to add an extra space using Find/replace, but you might be able to add some text wrap to the check boxes that will push the text away from them.
    Open Find/Replace and click the Object tab.
    Click the Specify attributes to find button to the right of the Find Object Format: field.
    Under Basic Attributes, choose Stroke and then the Black swatch (assuming the black swatch is applied to the strokes of your check boxes). If there are no other stand-alone objects in your form with a Black stroke, this should be all you need. (If there are Black strokes on your table cells, they will be ignored.)
    Click OK
    Click the Specify attributes to change button to the right of the Change Object Format: field.
    Under Basic Attributes, choose Text Wrap & Other > Text Wrap > Type: > Wrap around bounding box (2nd button from left)
    Under Offset, set a Right offset at the distance you'd like to add (I don't know what units you use, but the 3-5 points might work for your purposes...might take some trial-and-error to get it where you want)
    Click OK
    Click Change All

  • I can't change the "open file" directory location

    I've got a new installation of version HomeSite 5, which
    works really well except that I cannot get the Open File dialog box
    to go to the last directory I opened. So EVERY single time I want
    to, say, get a graphic from a directory, I have to double click my
    way down the path to reach the same directory I just picked up a
    previous file from. It doesn't seem to matter whether I have
    checked "Start in the folder last opened in the Files tab" or
    "Start in the folder last opened in the file open dialog." The
    "Always start in this folder" DOES work -- but that's not
    sufficient.
    Is there somewhere else I need to change or check something
    to get the Open File to always open in the directory I last
    opened?! (REALLY frustrating!)

    Not sure if this will help - you can dock 2 panes for files.
    If I am working with a large site I will sometimes do the code work
    in #1 open an images directory in #2.

    There are a couple of things you can do. Check out the PS Touch tutorial, "Replace colors," as one example.
    You can optionally use the other selection tools in lieu of the Magic Wand selection tool.
    Also, you can use the Paint Tool's effects options in conjunction with any of the selection tools. Many common effects and adjustments (like "Color Balance" in the PS Touch tutorial) are available by tapping the Mode option and choosing, "Effect," rather than, "Paint."

    hi, I have a lot of apps on my ipad and many of them allow me to edit and change document, presentations and PDFs.  It appears that only 10 are listed but i cannot work out how to alter the list that appears - is this a possibility at all?  I want to only list the apps i use regularly.  It appears that when i download new apps they take over on the list instead of my favourites.

    Have you thought of putting your Apps in Folders to keep them sorted?  To create a folder, hold your finger on any app until they all start to jiggle.  Then with with your finger hold on an app and move your finger slowly and the app will move with your finger.  To start a folder, move one app on top of another app and you will see a folder created.  You can then name the folder as you see fit and move other apps into that folder.  You can also do this in iTunes on your computer........

    Go to: Edit -> Preferences -> General. Then customize the "Still Image Default Duration". To get seven seconds per image, enter 210 frames if the project is 29.97fps or 168 frames if it is 24fps.
    In the future you can post to this forum, for older versions of Premiere.

    I'd prefer someting like white as a background color behind the functions, toolbars, etc. (I hope I'm explaining myself properly.) Also, the icons are really tiny. The only thing I see that a user is able to modify is the background (non-type) of the document itself, which I have no need to change.

    2. The difference amount found in FBCJ & FBL3N, post in Receipt side of FBCJ & Post the same amount as an expenses from FB01
    This adjustment entry will work as a reversal for the previous entry which was made by mistake

    I guess you mean one of the resume templates.
    What "format" have you saved your finished resume in?
    The only formats a Windows user will be able to open are .doc (Word), .pdf and rtf. The 1st 2 are usually the best.
    There is no Windows version of Pages.
