Can I create a "login" area where site visitors can access specific content of my site?

Hi. Can I create a text box where a visitor to my site, has to type in a unique "ID", in order to access specific areas of my site? Thanks in advance!

Login capabilities or user specific private content as part of a Content Management System are not features currently available in Muse. CMS features will not be part of the Muse 1.0 release. We intend to add CMS features to Muse in the future that will work with Adobe's Business Catalyst platform. Business Catalyst already has CMS features (see http://www.businesscatalyst.com/product-tour/overview for more info), but Muse isn't yet able to take advantage of them natively.

Trying to create two login areas for one site

I'm currently creating two different login areas for the site. One for my client to update content and one as a media/press area for downloads. Both areas work fine but it seems I can only do one login area because even if I use a different Connection script, one login area overtakes the other and you
're stuck with one setup instead of two. How can I work this so each area has its' own separate login area?

Instead of having two login forms, have one login form and utilize the user level controls. You will need to go to the login settings page and set/use the Level field on the database tab and then configure the user levels on the user levels tab.
You simply route users to different subdirectories and then secure the files for those two user directories using different user level permissions.
This removes the needs to maintain multiple connection files.
That said, do your two different login forms have different names? Different ids? Different targets/actions?

Creating a login page in php for login to certain pages in the website

I need to create a login page where I would assign user a password and when they input the password it would take them to pages only accesabile by that password. Can someone lead me to some good articles on how to do this? Everyting I have found so far doesn't seem to make sense or the coding doesn't work right when I input it into my html and php pages.

How difficult to create a user login area, and where to start?

I have a website which I created in Microsoft Expression Web 4. I would like to add a user login area and tie it to an existing SQL database which is updated frequently. I am not sure where to start or how likely I am to succeed. It is for a client's
website, so I am willing (and hopefully able) to learn, but do not want it to turn into a long drawn out project.
I can code in html and css and use java scripts. I don't know visual basic or how to work within the database (it will be provided by the client). I'm open to any advice on how easy or difficult this will be without other forms of coding knowledge, and would
love any advice on the best place to start. I have found some tutorials and downloaded MS Visual Studio Express 2013, since it was coming up as the best program for this.

You want to create a login in SQL? any way you need one to access the database. You may need to contact your DBA to do it as you maynot be authorized to do it. Use below link to know creating SQL logins/Users.

How can I create a mail folder where my gmail folders are

Hi all, I have Mail with my Gmail account. My 'labels' have appeared as folders in my Mail. That's all great and I've learned how to use them effectively so that they all sync when going back to gmail.
However I cannot create a new 'folder/label' where all the others are. I can only create a new folder as a subfolder and then move it.
Is there a way to create another 'folder/label' where the existing ones are.
See this screenshot, so I'd like to create a folder where 'Adobe' and 'Airmiles' folders are and not as a sub folder of 'Adobe/Airmiles' or of [Google Mail].
Can I do that? I am able to create the folder as a sub folder and then drag and drop where I want it but ideally want to avoid this step.

Not in Mail. If you referring to not having to use the menu, you can click the + sign at the bottom to create new mailboxes. But you still have to fill in the window with location and name. You can right click to create a new mailbox on an existing one, but not in the main account itself and you still have to fill in the info. It would create a sub folder.
You can also try it at the gmail website. There might be shortcuts there.

I started to do the latest update to iOS7 in my iPad mini and it froze the screen at the area Apple ID security where it asks for "Add Security Question". I press the next icon, and nothing happens. The screen is frozen there and I can't get out. I can go no further forward nor can I be back. It's just stuck. This has rendered my mini iPad useless. What can I do?

The Business Catalyst site should be on web Marketing plan.
You can create the secure zone in Business Catalyst and then place the secure zone login form code from Business Catalyst to the page in Muse.

Yeah - thanks - that's where I started the tutorial (http://helpx.adobe.com/muse/tutorials/building-your-first-website-part-1.html) - but when I get into parts 3 & 4, I've already noticed there's certain areas that do not follow along properly with the tutorial (my guess being the program has changed already - ??) ... SO now, I'm wondering if Adobe has an area where the updates are located since their original instructional videos differ than the program?

Post the PDF files to a web site. The browse to them in Safari on the iPad. When you Open the files specify the Open to occur in Adobe Reader. Then you can have/Save them in your Documents folder on the iPad. An iPad has limited access to files otherwise.

PASSWORD PROTECTING A PAGE WITH A NICE BOX DESIGNED INTO YOUR PAGE
FINALLY, I'VE FOUND AN ANSWER TO PASSWORDING A PAGE OR SECTION WITH ADOBE MUSE WITH GREAT SIMPLICITY AND ALLOWING YOU TO 'DESIGN' THE PASSWORD BOX INTO YOUR PAGE!!!
Even better is that you don't HAVE to have username AND password (although you could if you wanted to), so just a simple PASSWORD box and enter button DESIGNED BY YOU WITHIN YOUR PAGE, rather than nasty popups etc. Importantly, the password itself is NOT within the source code of your page either!!
The solution is at Jotform.com. I believe you can do this with a FREE ACCOUNT, although it's SUCH a great service for Musers that I paid for a proper account.
Before you do this, create a page on your site saying "Wrong Password. Please go away" or something to that effect. You'll need it for when they enter the wrong password.
So, in Jotform, you just create a new form and:
1. Drag on a password box (it's in the power tools section)
2. Select it and go to Conditions
3. Go to Change Thank You URL after submission
4. Enter: If [name of your password box] field EQUALS TO [enter your password]
5. In the "Then redirect to" box, enter the URL of your protected page and click save
6. In the resulting box click "ADD A NEW CONDITION" and do the SAME as stets 3 to 5 but this time say NOT EQUALS TO" with your same password and in the "Then redirect to" box, enter the URL of your WRONG PASSWORD page and click save
7. Embed the button on your page and you're done!!!
If you want to mess about with the EXACT alignment of a right aligned button and text box, you can go to Preferences and in the box which allows you to add your own custom CSS, enter the following code and mess about with the values until it's perfect for you:
.form-buttons-wrapper { padding-top:3px !important; }#id_2 {margin-left: -50px !important;}

What is virtual file system in sharepoint, where are the site pages stored?

I came across this paragraph in Inside Microsoft SharePoint 2010; page 126 :-
When SharePoint Foundation provisions the Proposals document library,it creates a folder named Proposals at the root of the site and then it creates a child folder named Forms.
Inside the Forms folder, it creates a set of site pages with names such as DispForm.aspx, EditForm.aspx, AllItems.aspx, and Upload.aspx. The reason that SharePoint Foundation creates site pages inside the Forms folder for each
new list and document library is that these site pages will provide users with the forms they will use to add and manage content.
My question is that:-
1) What us the root of the site means?
2) Are the pages for edit/add/allitems created in filesystem OR in the content database?
3)Suppose we create new sitepages, then where are they stored? In filesystem or in content db?

For All above queries the data and site pages are stored in content database
Root folder: A folder created for the document library under the web (sub site) and another folder created as child folder named Forms. Site pages are created in SharePoint content database
SitePages(Add/display/edit): These pages are created in SharePoint content database
Note: The SharePoint will not create any physical aspx page OR folder in the file system while creating document library.

I would like to place in a Master-B Page an area on the right where I can put widgets. I have used the rectangle tool to create the area with an image background but it does not extend to the bottom of the page if I scroll down. How can I do this? Thank you. Attached is a screen shot. The right side rectangle is the area where I want to put widgets. I would like the widget area to stretch down from the top of the page (as it looks like in the first screen shot) down to an inch above the footer. Is there a specific setting where I can make this happen or a different tool I should use? Thank you.
