Currently I click an email, Safari opens, I go back to mail, delete said email, read the next email, repeat.

I downloaded iMesh and I can't stop it from automatically popping up each time I request a new tab. I have uninstalled the program, but I want to stop it from defaulting as a new tab. I tried uninstalling the add on and plug in, but it is no longer installed as an add-on or plug in. How do I get the "new tab" request to simply open with a blank address in the address box instead of www.imesh.com.
Ok, I finally managed to get rid of it.
First I did the thing with the about:config but I flitered for imesh instead and managed to reset two thing but when I got to the keyword.URL I got the same thing as lolbabe98 did with the "An attempt to change your search engine or homepage was blocked."
Then I did a search on my C: drive for iMesh and discovered some things that hadn't been removed even though I had unistalled both the toolbar and the actual program. After that it worked fine and I now have a regular "untitled" tab when I open a new tab.
One last thing, when I tried to remove some of the files there was one that said it was in use, it was called datamanagerUI or something rather. The only thing I had to do there was to open Task Manager and kill a process called DATAMN~1 and I was able to remove it. Hope this helps. -

In Finder's Preferences pane, in the General tab, uncheck "Hard disks" under "Show these items on the Desktop" to clear away the icon. -

Help, my Safari browser has been acting super strange lately! There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

Here something is a variable word, which can be different in each case. It could be "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," "trusteddownloads," or pretty much anything else.

Every time I try to create a document in Pages, it insists in turning it into an outline. How do I type a staright document?

As far as I can tell the Outline setting is contained in the document, so this should only happen if you are starting from a template that was saved with Show Document Outline selected. -
How do I stop Firefox from automatically signing in every time I restart
About a week ago, Firefox started automatically signing in whenever I have restarted or shutdown and then turned laptop back on again.
After the usual icons and stuff has reappeared on desktop, suddenly Firefox starts opening/signing in, without my asking it to open a window and sign in.
This is occurring whether I've checked to "save and restore at start-up" or to "save and quit".
Sometimes I want to do other work prior to signing into Firefox again.
I have repeatedly reviewed Tools/Options in search of a setting to adjust. From researching this problem on the web, the only direction I found was to UNcheck "Accept Third Party Cookies" from Privacy settings.
I tried this, to no avail.
I don't know where else to look for whatever setting I need to adjust to have things the way they always were before -- namely, to sign in when I would click on Firefox icon, and it would then open up Firefox to either homepage or to restoring the tabs that I last had open.See the instructions for shutting off form AutoComplete at the following link.

How do I stop pop ups every time I click a link
Im using safari 6.1.6 and OS X 10.8.5 and whenever I click on legitimate websites I get pop ups. This could have been cause by mistakenly downloading something I shouldn't have. Im not sure if its related but now when I try and do a google search I get a list of google adds before my results with a yellow box saying 'ad' this didn't happen yesterday. Does anyone know what needs to be done to stop all this? Im a basic user and with little knowledge of the system.

1. If adware is installed without your knowledge,

Once done scanning and removing the adware, quit the app by clicking AdMedic in the menubar

Someone's email sent me one today that had a link in it... I was only half paying attention, recognized the sender and hit the link before I realized my stupid move. I have three email accounts hooked up to the phone, and within a few hours, they started going nuts on my phone. By that I mean, I kept getting notifications on my screen that I was receiving emails, even though these were from a few weeks ago. I deleted my email accounts, but I'm wondering if I need to do anything to my phone? Can I load the accounts in again? Should I have virus software on my phone?

If you don't have iTunes you will need to buy the song from the iTunes store and download it that way. If it is a custom track you may be out of luck. The only way to get a song on your device without iTunes involves jailbreaking it.
iOS is set up to prevent people from emailing each other songs, videos, movies, books, etc. This is how Apple got their contracts with the content providers by promising that they would do what ever it takes to prevent people from sharing content that they didn't pay for.
