Can I use Boolean parameters and 'is empty ' in smart groups & mail rules?

How do you do the following smartgroup in Mail? State is MA or NH or ME and Email is not 'empty'? I also would like to make the following rule in Mail: If FROM is 'empty' and Subject is 'empty' then move to Trash. In other words is it possible to use invisible charakters <blank> or <empty> and boolean parameters in search fields. Any hits will be appreciated. ---Stefan

I have the same question, plus a couple more. Most of the spam that I get follows one of five simple patterns:
1. It contains one or more empty fields (to, from, subject, or message body),
2. It sometimes lacks a "from" or "subject" field entirely.
3. Mail recipients are sequential (e.g. [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]).
4. Total message size is 0.7 KB or less. (Due to empty fields.)
5. It contains a gif or jpeg touting whatever product the spammer is flogging.
It seems like it would be trivial to incorporate filter rules to take care of empty or non-existent fields (categories 1 and 2). But I can't see a way to do that in Mail currently. Hopefully Apple is working on this? Or maybe there's a third-party add-on that can address this?
Also it would be easy to take care of #3 with the use of simple grep expressions. But I don't think Mail can do this yet. (Again, any third-party solutions out there?)
For #4, obviously a rule that could take into account message size would help deal with those emails.
And for #5, it's more problematic, but since there are programs out there that can read graphics, hence the need for captcha "encryption" on web sites, why not use such an app as a Mail extension? It would be great if it could interoperate with Mail's rules, so you could set up something like "if message contains a jpeg or gif and if the image contains 'penile enlargement' then delete/put in junk folder."
Currently I put all messages with attachments (that haven't already been approved by my whitelist) in a "limbo" folder for later review. But I have to use a minor kluge to do this. Ideally I'd just say "if message has an attachment" or "if message attachment is not empty," but those options aren't available so I have to say "if name of attachment contains '.'" Since pretty much all files have a "." in them, it seems to work fine, but strictly speaking it's not as elegant as I'd like it to be.

Yes you will still need the color cartridge. The printer uses what is called under printing, it still uses some of the color cartridge's ink in this process, even when printing in just black, the reason is to stop the black from "bleeding"

I need to create a rule to check whether a message contains BOTH a first and last name of EITHER of two people.
For example, the rule im looking to create goes something like this:
If ANY of the following conditions are met:
message content - contains - john & doe
message content - contains - jane & doe
ive tried and cant seem to get it to work...

AFAIK Mail rules do not support boolean expressions.
to do what you want you'd have to create two rules
rule 1
if ALL of the following conditions are met
message content - contains - john
message content - contains - jdoe
and similarly for rule 2.

Can we use Boolean or Validations for input cells in HFM?
Example:
1. I want to restrict the user to enter only single digit (0 or 1 are valid) in to a cell for a special purpose. (in smartview or webform)
2. I want to restrict the user to enter only single Character (Y or N are valid) in to a cell for a special purpose.(in smartview or webform)
After submitting the data, If the data does not matches to the given condition it has to through an Error message or validation message to the end user.
Can we write these kind of rules in HFM?

Hi Smilee,
HFM's model of validation and error checking is not as you describe. Data cannot be validated at the form/data-entry level. Instead, HFM's validation model goes like this:
1. You must provide with a validation account for each validation you need, with a common parent usually declared in the validation accounts in the ApplicationSettings. A zero (or within tolerance limits) in the validation account means correct, any other value means error.
2. You must write a normal calculation rule, which checks the user's input for valid data entry and place a zero or other value to the validation account.
3. The user inputs her values (via form, or data load, FDM, SmartView etc.), saves her data and calculates.
4. As soon as all the validation calculations write zeros to the to validation account during calculations, the user can submit successfully (submission is part of process management). However, if any of the validations fail (meaning non zero value to the top validation account) the user cannot submit until she corrects the error value. Errors can be traced easily, judging by the exact validation account which fails.
Another observation regarding your point 2 is that only numeric values can be written in HFM cells, no alphabetic characters are allowed. You should replace Y/N logic to 0/1.

How can I use the "Copy and paste" tool in order get stamps in the same position in different pages (Acrobat XI for PC)?

With Acrobat 6.0 I was able to copy a stamp in the same position (I mean "exactly" the same one) of different pages just by using the "copy/past" tool.
Now I am using Acrobat XI and it seems like it is not possible anymore: I am copying a stamp and I am trying to past it in anoter page, but it appears in the center of the page (or wherever it wants to...).
Does anyone have a solution?

CHeck out iTunes Match which has an annual fee of £21 or thereabouts. You can store a maximum of 25,000 songs there and they all become available on your other kit, iPhone, iPad and iPod. I know it works as I have over 23000 songs uploaded of which only a few we're bought through iTunes.
it works by comparing your music to the whole iTunes music dadata base so you access the same tunes that you could get from iTunes. If you have obscure stuff, it uploads your own music to the cloud as a copy.
I Find it incredible that on my iPhone with its 16gb memory I can view almost 200 gb of music (ie my 23000 songs) and play any of them. Anything I add to iTunes becomes available via the cloud fairly quickly from a few minutes or a little longer if adding a lot.
The first time you use it it will take quite a while to match your music if you have a lot, but after that it is all automatic. Read the stuff on the apple site. Your PC needs to be at least running Vista. I recommend it and at less than 50p a week it's good value.

No - you can share the same iTunes account (my wife and I share the same account). But when you sync the iPads, just remember to select the correct content for her iPad and the correct content for your iPad.

I assume you're talking about the Lion installer? If so, yes, you're allowed to use it on any machines authorized with your Apple ID (which I believe means a maximum of five machines). This is, of course, meant for family use... I'm not sure about business use, but I'd suspect you need one copy per machine at a business. If you're in that situation, you may want to wait for the $69 Lion flash drive Apple will be releasing next month sometime, as that won't be tied to an Apple ID. But check with Apple to be sure on that.

The only limit is that of the device. No restrictions on how much of it you can use for music. Is part of your music library unchecked?

I want to update the BUY table everytime I would add a SELL transaction.....I want to minus the stocks that I sold to those that Ive bought before.....
note: I used a seperate table in BUY and SELL transaction
After I Have added a transaction, I want to update the buy table. This is my problem, can I used both SELECT and UPDATE statement at the same time in a single jsp file for example like this:

That's part of the problem right there; 360 GB is a bit small to back up 206 GB. Ordinarily, a Time Machine drive should be 2-3 times the size of the data it's backing-up, so Time Machine can keep a reasonable "depth" of old backups for you.
It looks like Time Machine is trying to do a fairly large backup, and there just isn't enough room for it.
But something doesn't quite add up. Time Machine should have deleted all but your most recent backup, trying to make room for the new one. But that would mean there should only be a bit less than 206 GB on the disk, not 360.
A clue may be lurking in your logs. Use the widget in #1 of Time Machine - Troubleshooting to display the backup messages from your logs. Locate the backup in question, then copy and post all the messages here.
