I have elements 7 disc, but my computer is down and have to use a new computer which has windows 7.

    Yes your edits will be there if you import the edited version. Yes it will go to the Cloud with the edits. What you read is that edits made in iPhoto and Aperture after the library has been migrated will not be available in Photos. But you could still export from iPhoto/Aperture to the Finder and then import to Photos, like with PSE.

    Probably.  Install PSE3 and see if it works.  If not, you can always try setting PSE3's "Compatibility Mode" to XP.

    Providing you don't have Windows 8 RT then both should work.
    You could download the trial version to check.

    The current versions of Photoshop Elements do not fully support touch screens.

    You can't do this in PSE by itself. I'm assuming you have windows, so output your slideshow as a wmv file and then use Premiere Elements to finalize the disc, if you have that. If not, use whatever you do have (if you can burn DVDs, you have software). Even windows dvd maker will do this.

    Plug your iPad into your computer. THere may be a delay while it installs drivers but if you can see your iPad in windows explorer, use that to get to your photos.
    Click on your iPad and you should see a DCIM folder. Click thorugh that to find your photos.
    Windows explorer will see your iPad as nothing more than a digital camera, and that's the part you're trying to access.

    You may need to run the computer in XP mode to install it (you may try in normal mode first). Here is how:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7
    Once installed, you should be able to get it to run with the PC in normal mode as follows (first run):
    1) RightClick the shortcut;
    2) Click Properties;
    3) Click Compatibility;
    4) Tick Run this program in Compatibility mode for, then select XP in the dropdown list;
    5) Start AI9.
    After that, you can just DoubleClick the shortcut.

    Jaredblackway it would appear you are referencing Photoshop Elements 1.0.  I would recommend upgrading to a compatible version with modern operating systems.  Photoshop Elements 12 is the current version available.  You can find more details at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html.
