No. Those can only be used in drives with a carrier tray.

  • Mini DVD-R use in Mac Book Pro Need help

I have several videos on Memorex Mini DVD-R discs that I am afraid to insert into the normal sized drive of my Mac Book Pro. Does anyone know of a product that can be used, such as an insert or "donut". I would like to upload these videos and have looked on the Memorex website and elsewhere.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello and welcome to discussions,
You are right to be wary of inserting these mini disks. They will almost certainly get stuck and thereby stick you with a potentially large bill.
I do not know of any maker of a " doughnut " or mechanical work around. One way I have come across, though, is as follows...
Find a computer that has a locking ring or holder for disks, upload the data onto said computer, burn data to a normal sized CD and then transfer data to required computer.
Its not elegant but it does work and does not cost anything more than some time.
    Regards.
    Ian.

  • Why can't I airplay mirror my Mac Book Pro (new) with my TV when I play a DVD on my Mac Book?

I can see the screen from my Mac Book Pro but the DVD movie only displays as a check board on my TV. If I choose to look at my Mac Book only it works fine. BR hp

I'm not certain but I think Airplay is a non-secure protocol.
So if someone wrote a program to intercept Airplay they could potentially make a copy of that encrypted DVD you are trying to Airplay, albeit with compression and other compromises.

  • What is the best DVD Creator for a Mac Book Pro to replace iDVD?

What is the Best DVD Creator for a Mac Book Pro to replace iDVD?  Have Maverick OS.

I have already looked at other threads in this forum, so 'I venture forth' to ask my question here:
I have a 44 minute carefully edited iMovie with several chapter markers. I dimly recollect that when you 'dump' the entire movie into iDVD (my version is 7.1) it should detect the markers and create buttons to link to specific scenes. Well, the 'dumping' process obviously doesn't work.
How do you get iDVD to recognize the markers and ceate buttons to link?
I can create with iDVD a DVD that will play the movie in its entirety. This is not suitable for my purposes. I need access via a menu to specific scenes.
    Thank you,
    Klaus

  • Can I interrupt a migration from Mac Book Pro to Imac and what are the consequences

can I interrupt a migration from Mac Book Pro to iMac and what are the consequences

    Les:
    Here are some options:
    • You could copy the data file to your laptop, work on it, and update the file on the iMac when you are back.
    • You can use an application like Log Me In to access your home computer from your laptop.
    • You can use DropBox. Install it on both computers, place your data file in a folder on the iMac, access it and work on it on your laptop and it will be automatically updated on your computer at home, even if it is not turned on, as soon as it is connected to the internet.
Please do post back with further questions or comments.

  • Can my sister use her Canadian mac book pro with my UK leads I have for i mac an i pads

can my sister use her Canadian mac book pro with my UK leads used for i mac or my i pad leads to charge her mac book whilst here in the UK

The power supply (which is what I assume you call an adaptor) can be used to charge her MacBook, provided that it is of a similar or larger output. If you both have the same screen size MacBook the power supplies will be the same.

Why can't I print from my Mac book Pro to my HP Deskjet 3054A.  I am currently able to print wirelessly from my old PC desk top but not the laptop

I am running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3.  I believe I have the lastes drivers.  I bought the laptop and got the printer free with it in December.  I was initially able to print from the laptop but now says there is no connection.

  • How can I Upload Pictures, from my Mac Book Pro Retina Display with Mountain Lion OS? Tried but it gets as far asi  pictures but does not open?

How can I Upload Pictures, from my Mac Book Pro Retina Display with Mountain Lion OS? Tried but it gets as far as i pictures but does not open?

This is not necessarily 100% correct at the current time.
As Dropbox is encouraging people to set it up for automatic uploading of photos they gradually increment your space as you load more pictures for free at the current time.
You do start with a fixed 2 GB but if you upload photos you will be awarded more free space.
You can also open a free account with Flickr - you may have some upload limits per day but you can upload pictures there.

  • How can I transfer photos from my Mac Book Pro to my windows computer?

How can I transfer photos from my Mac Book Pro to my windows computer.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Transfer them to an external disk formatted in "MS-DOS (FAT)" with Disk Utility > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html
If you have the pictures in iPhoto, choose them with the Command key, go to File menu (on the menu bar) > Export, and copy them to the external disk. Then, connect your external disk to the PC and move them.
If you have the pictures in Finder, steps are the same, but in this case, you will have to drag the pictures you chose to the external disk that you can find in the Finder sidebar, under "Devices"
