Can not create source distribution from project
Visit the Request Support page at ni.com/ask to learn more about resolving this problem. Use the following information as a reference:
Error 1 occurred at AB_Destination.lvclass:Copy_File.vi -> AB_Source.lvclass:Copy_SourceItem.vi -> AB_Build.lvclass:Copy_Files.vi -> AB_Build.lvclass:Build.vi -> AB_Engine_Build.vi -> AB_Build_Invoke.vi -> AB_Build_Invoke.vi.ProxyCaller
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: An input parameter is invalid. For example if the input is a path, the path might contain a character not allowed by the OS such as ? or @.

NI-488: Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge.
Hi JoshSat,
This error message can be confusing. Error code 1 is defined by both LabVIEW and GPIB and has a different meaning based on what software component gave the error. Since you receive the error when building a source distribution, it is most likely the LabVIEW error and not the GPIB error.
First, we will need to know more about your application – what it's doing, the version of LabVIEW, the OS version, use of GPIB, use of Shared Variables, etc. This KnowledgeBase may also provide some insight into the cause of this issue.
You might want to start out building a much smaller source distribution that can reproduce the same problem. You’re welcome to post that project after you've shrunk it down as much as possible, and I can try to build it over here.
Please let me know if you can provide any additional information on your program, and whether the suggestions provided above fix the problem.

Can not open JPEG files and can not create JPEG files from other software
Can not open JPEG files and can not create JPEG files from other software (For example from Solidworks).
When I try to right click on a JPEG, a notice window appears written: "Windows Explorer has stopped working - Windows is
checking for a solution to the problem" and then the notice box disapears, the desktop appears and I can continue working.
From the other side - If I try to save as JPEG a screen of Solidworks (like a view of a part) the Solidworks falls but the JPEG
is created (I can see its name in the directory I created it).
I can open the JPEGS with the Paint software if I want but not with the Windows Photo Viewer.
I have the feeling that the Windows Photo Viewer disapeared from my computer - just a feeling.
I will appreciate your assistance.
Avi T. 2014Hi,
Did Windows Photo Viewer option appear when you right click the JPEG file and select open with?
I would like suggest you use Clean Boot to troubleshoot if there is third-party software conflict:

Can not create source inspection to to material with mpn optional
HELLO,
Our materials are divided to two groups:
1. materials that their manufacturer part profile is mandatory (mark : 'MPN MANDATORY" CHANGE IN MPN and QM PROCESSING FOR MPN)
2. materials that their manufacturer part profile is optional (mark: CHANGE I MPN).
We use source inspection to all materials .
No problem create source inspection to the first group (mandatory mpn) I created q-infor-ecord to vendor vs mpn-material, in the purchase order header the mpn material is added and by using trns qi07 I get source inspection lot with our firm material
The problem is that I can not create a source inspection to material that was defined as mpn optional and in the purchase order header the mpn-material is filled.

Can´t create EXE-Application from project because selection is missing
Hello,
i have a LV8.2-project one my computer from which i can create a working exe-file.
Now i moved the project to another computer with LV 8.2 but when i open the project and try to create the application than this selection is not available.
When i click on "Build Specification" + "New" then there is only the selection --> "Source Distribution" but no "Application EXE" as on the other computer.
What do i have to do that i also have this selection on the other computer to create an exe-file?
Thx for the helpDo you have the same version of LV installed on both machines?
Only LV PDS comes with included application builder. For LV base and FDS the application builder is an addon package.

Can not create new page from template
I have been working on a new site for the last couple of
weeks and have created several pages using a basic template.
All of the child pages of this template still update when
changes are made to it, however I can no long create new children
from this template.
Any ideas as to what the problem might be.
THanks

my guess is that you are opening the .dwt template file and
doing a "Save
As". That page is not a "child" page of the template.

in the new files dialog box, click the Templates tab

click okay

Can not create .PDF directly from file
I just reinstalled Acrobat 9 (9.5) to a new computer. I cannot create a PDF directly from a Word or OpenOffice document. When I look at the "convert to" or "convert from" tab the file extensions are not listed. I was able to do this before. I tried repair installation with no luck. How do I fix this?
Does anyone have idea?

Can not create XML file from MS Access 2003
Hi,
I am getting error as "Error loading in DLL" when I use msaccess_exporter to create XML file for migrations usind Access 2003 DB. Does anyone know about this? If yes, could you please let me know how to resolve it?
Thanks,
KartikHi Daniel,
I believe you are seeing the message "Table'_OracletblDatabase' already exists" because you are attempting to export an MDB file that you previously attempted to export, but that initial export process may not have run to completion. I recommend opening your .MDB file, and delete any "_Oracletbl..." table objects that exist under the list of Table objects. Close the MDB file and carry out the export process again. You should now be able to use the 2000 mde file.
I hope this helps.

Can not create a playlist from Buffalo NAS drive
Hi,
I have a Buffalo NAS drive which stores my iTunes Library. When I try to create a playlist and highlight the songs I want, I cant seem to drag them across to the playlist. I'm assuming that is because they are on my NAS drive and not local. Is there anyway around this?
ITunes 8.0.1 (11)
Buffalo NAS Linkstation 320GBIf the tracks aren't represented in the local iTunes library but only appear as a shared library, you cannot add them to a new playlist. You'd have to mount the Buffalo as an external drive and add the tracks to the local iTunes library: turn off the option to "copy files to Tunes Music folder when adding to library" in the Advanced preferences) and then use the "add to library" command under the File menu. The NAS will have to remain mounted whenever you want to use iTunes in this scenario.
Otherwise, you'll have to consult the Buffalo's documentation to determine if it's possible to set up playlists on the Buffalo and if so what procedure to follow.

M4000 lsi 1064 can not create raid

Creating RAID volume will destroy all data on spare space of member disks, proceed (yes/no)? yes
Operation not support with volume of this level.
also can not create raid 1 from OBP.
also raid 1 deffined on a T2000 (an LSI-1064E controller) machine is not recognized by the M4000.
[M4000/M5000 Servers Product Notes|http://dlc.sun.com/pdf/820-7235-10/820-7235-10.pdf] says nothing about it except for a bug (6723202) regarding the M3000 machine.
Any Idea ?There is no official document available which says why H/w RAID functionality is not there on Mx000 class machines.
None of the Mx000 offical document talks about the RAID functionality on these platfomrs which probably means that Sun is not supporting H/W RAID on these platform.
If you have any of these machines (Mx000 class) under a valid sun contract, you can open a ticket with Sun and verify this. -
Why can I not create a PDF from a web page on my Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro on my new Windows 8 computer? It worked fine on my windows XP system?
Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 8, for the simple reason it was
created much before it and Adobe could not participate the changes to the
OS that Microsoft implemented many years later on. You need to buy the
current version for compatibility. -

how can i buy stuff in US istore with a voucher i just bought.... I am in South africa and can not create a itunes account in the US
You can't, you can only buy content from your own country's store - to be able to buy from another country's store you need a valid billing address in that country and be in that country when buying from it. You will either need to make do with what is in the South African store (and I know that it hasn't got the same content as in other countries), or for music you could use other music purchase download sites that you have access to (and you can copy your own CDs).

Edited by: martin.morono on Nov 8, 2012 11:49 AMThanks Levi,
I slightly modified your script to recatalog the backup pieces since they are note stored at the same location in PR and QA.
No luck. The error message is different but the result is the same... it keeps failing.

This error happens in any project independently of its contents.I have just had this same exception. The first project within the workspace worked fine, the second workspace had the exception. I've used this wizard several times before with success. I'm using 10.1.3.0.4 (SU5)
The "Model" project which worked has the following technology scopes:
Ant
Database
EJB
Java
TopLink
UML
The "User Interface" project which did not work has the following technology scopes:
Java
JSF
JSP and Servlets
1. Any ideas on what I can do to work around this problem?
2. How can I help you debug this issue?
thanks,
chas
