Can not open Portal home page - sneak preview

Hi,
I have installed portal sneak preview. All the pags opened for the first 3 days. Later Portal stopped working, but I get only j2ee engine home page.
The below URLs work
http://localhost:50000/index.html
The below URLs does not work
http://localhost:50000
http://localhost:50000/irj
http://localhost:50000/irj/portal
All the links in the j2ee engine home page also does not work.
The only changes I made to the system is
I have installed Apache on different port 8080
I have installed JBoss on Apache
I have changed the ip address couple of times and changed back to determine IP address automatically as it was.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

I've had exactly the same problem on Solaris but unfortunately haven't been able to get it to work.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how it can be resolved ?

I just resolved this this morning, but do not understand why I had to do what I did.
I resolved by commenting out the following lines in /u01/app/oracle/product/ias9i/Apache/Jserv/etc/zone.properties
repositories=/u01/app/oracle/product/ias9i/Apache/Apache/htdocs/disco3iv/disco3iv.jar
servlets.startup=discoservlet
servlet.discoservlet.code=oracle.disco3iv.Disco3iv
servlet.discoservlet.initArgs=config=http://adenine:7777/disco3iv/html/disco3iv.xml
Can anyone tell me why or how to fix?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

  • Can not open any web page in Safari

can not open any web page in Safari on the IPad.  All other wireless features work fine.

If this does not work then try a reset ,
Reset your iPad by pressing the 'Sleep' and 'Home' button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so. Your iPad  will then go through a reset / reboot procedure and will be ready for use within about a minute.
Don't worry about doing this as you will not lose data or settings.
Good luck and do report back.

  • Firefox will not open to home page as directed in options and settings. Opening in safe mode makes no difference, either. Any ideas?

Firefox will not open to home page as set in the settings. Even in safe mode, it still will not open to home page as directed. It seems to want to open to last set of tabs, even though that is not the way it was set in settings. It seems as though the settings do not have any impact on the way it behaves!!!

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
    See "Creating a profile":
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 20.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

  • I can not access the home page

I have installed Oracle Portal 3.0 EA on a Windows NT 4.0 Workstation
    running Oracle 8.1.6.
And now I can not access the home page and login from a local browser installed on the server by typing http://<hostname>/pls/portal30/portal30.home.
    Apache is still working.

    Jan-Peter,
Obviously the browser recognizes the servername:port because your sample works. It must have a problem with the pls or DAD.
    Can you access:
    http://servername:80/pls/admin_/gateway.htm
    If yes,
Then check to make sure you are calling the correct DAD and they are setup. You can do this through the gateway.htm page.
    If no,
Then your 9iAS did not setup mod_plsql correctly. Check oracle_admin to see if it points to plsql.conf

  • Safari will not open to home page

I down loaded Lion and now Safari will not open to home page and preferences are set for home page?

Thanks, At least I know I am not the only one. I have had nothing but problems down loading Lion. First I did not have enough memory so I spent $128 for up grade to 4 GB. Then I down loaded Lion and it crushed my disc and spent another $181 to up grade to a T1. Then down loaded Lion to find out a lot of bugs with it. For what was to cost me $29.95 end up costing me $339.
You would think I would learn by now not to up grade at once. I am one of the dummies that spent $699 for the first iPhone for them too drop the price weeks later.
If I figure out answer I will post for you asap.

  • When I left-click the home button, how can it open my home page in a new tab?

I thought it used to do that. I had to do a clean install of Windows, I believe I was only on FF 22 or 23 when this happened. Now I'm on FF 26 and obviously all my settings are gone.
I'm 99% sure that when I left-clicked on my home button, it opened my home page in a new tab. I know I can middle-click to get that affect, but it used to be left-click and I do that automatically now. But I don't want to lose the current window I have up, so something's wrong.
Anyone know how to fix this? Or an add-on to do this?

If you hold down the Ctrl key while left clicking the Home button then the home page opens in a new tab.<br />
You can also middle-click the home button like you can with any other link

  • Have lost return button and will not open to home page even though it is set to

Return button no longer works and home page will not open even though it is set to do so. I"ve reinstalled firefox, but this didn't help
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened

    Hello Rick.
You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.
If you need to restore your interface, you can go into ''View > Toolbars > Customize... > Restore default set''.

  • Safari 5.1 not opening to home page in Lion

SInce installing Lion, I can not get Safri 5.1 to open to the selected home page in preferences.  I have even unchecked the restore windows box in system preferences.  WHat gives?  It always reopens to the last page I looked at.

    Disable Resume.
    System Preferences / General.
Deselect:   Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps.

  • Safari does not open in home page.

Safari does not open with the "home page" set in preferences.  Always opens with the last page viewed prior to quitting.

I have the same problem (10.7.2., Safari 5.1.2 on an iMac). In System>Preferences>General >Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps. (Uncheck). The box is unchecked. In Safari>Preferences>General I have the following settings:
New windows open with: Same page
New tabs open with: Same page
    Homepage: http://www.nytimes.com/
Whenever I open Safari I get a blank page (and I have to click on the Home Page icon). This has never happened in my Power PC with Lion (now sadly in computer heaven) nor my MacBook with Snow Leopard. Closing windows individually or closing  Safari itself doesn't matter. Re-opening Safari gets me a blank page. Any advice?

  • For some unaparent reason opening a new tab does not open my home page google. Been ok for years

Now on Firefox 28.0. I got an update for Divx and installed. Following this new tabs were direct to search.conduit. I uninstalled this but now when I open new tabs I get a blank page and have to manually direct to my homepage. Previously a new tab opened automatically as my home page (Google). Starting Firefox gets me the correct homepage. How can I ensure that each new tab opens to my homepage?

Your settings might have switched when you installed DivX. You can set the new tab page to something different by the following:
    *Navigate to about:config
*Click ''I'll be careful, I promise!''
    *Search for '''browser.newtab.url'''
*Double click the string, erase ''about:newtab'' and enter the one you want (www.google.com)
    *Close down Firefox and re-open.

  • Can`t access Portal Home page: 'PORTAL.WWPOB_PAGE must be declared

The package portal.wwpob_page exists and even is used by HOME procedure, so I don´t understand te message in log.
    Any help please ?

Fco. Javier Pozo, from the bug info you provide I assume you are running a version of Portal 9.0.2.x. After having a quick look at the patches you mention I see that patch 2943209 seems to make changes to the WWPOB_PAGE package
As far as your language install commands, the first one looks fine and would have installed language 'e' (spanish I think) in both portal and single sign-on server. So I'm not sure why you ran it a second time to re-install language 'e' into single sign-on server only, but I don't think it would break anything.
I would recommend checking that all your db packages are valid and making aure you didn;t recieve any errors in applying all the actions you listed. If this doesn;t fix the problem then go back to your backup which you would have taken before applying these patches and re-apply them one by one, checling at each stage to see if your Portal is still OK.
Otherwise you should call Oracle Suport and log a TAR as I assume you have access to Oracle support and they are who told you to apply these patches.
    Cheers,
    Mick.

  • Can't open Yahoo home page

Since updating to 10.4.6 a few days ago, I cannot access yahoo.com with Safari. I'm not even sure the events are related. All other sites work fine & even all other pages on yahoo work fine just yahoo's home page will not load. Safari stalls & displays "Server could not be found". I have also tryed IE with exactly the same results. I am on Earthlink DSL wired direct to my G5 through an Airport Extreme. Also very strange is that I have not updated my other computer (iMac G5) to 10.4.6 yet, it's still on 10.4.3 & is wireless to the Airport but that computer cannot access Yahoo.com either, all other sites work fine. We lost the access at the same time. Is it possible that it is a problem with my ISP? It's been about 5 days since the problem first started. I reset Safari, emptied the cache, cleared the history, deleted the Icon folder; all this did not help. I did "ping" the site & it's there. Any ideas? I've read here of similar problems & folks report that the problem just corrected itself after awhile. Maybe I should just wait & my day will come too.

Close to what we have for a set up, Elink DSL, w/AEBS wireless iMac intel &
    PB Tiger (10.4.6) & Panther10.3.9 w/ ethernet connection , all 3 can
access Yahoo, Did Yangs link work for you, if not perhaps you need to
check your connections, in Network Setting in Sy.Preferences.
The 2 wireless & ethernet computers connected have these settings below.
DNS # values entered in the Network settings->Show:Build-in Ethernet

Configure IPv4: Using DHCP, Click the Renew DHCP Lease button click

  • Firefox STILL does not open the home page when a new tab is selected

I have just 'upgraded' to FF4 and expected that the irritating 'new tab homepage load situation' would have been resolved by now: sadly, it looks to STILL be around.
MS IE has been loading the homepage DIRECTLY when a new tab is selected for about FOUR YEARS now, so I'm staggered that such a simple but very useful feature is not available in Firefox.
    The obvious question is WHY??
In IE, you don't have to keep hitting the home page button to carry out a search in google when a new tab is selected, and IE does NOT need an 'add-on' to incorporate this functionality; it really is quite irritating that the function is still not built-in to FF, and the coding requiret to incorporate the function ain't rocked science Mozilla people - WHY has this not been put into effect by now?

Some people prefer a blank tab because it takes no time to load. Some people prefer their home page. Some people prefer a list of most frequently used sites. It would be convenient if all of these options were built in, but obviously no one stepped up and made it a priority.
By the way, another way to search in a new tab is: Using the search box (on the toolbar), after typing your query, either press Alt+Enter or Ctrl+click the magnifying glass. This opens the search in a new tab and saves that step.
