CAN reception for a specific message

Hi All
I want to receive a specific message from the CAN network. Suppose there are different message and i need to filter only one particular message. Could anyone pls help me in this regard ? If possible give some sample code also
Regards
Anoop

Thanks again .. But still some doubts remain
This is a paragraph from the Ni CAN software/hardware manual
" The Philips SJA1000 does not support distinct standard and extended masking. Therefore, on Series 2 interfaces the StandardMask/Comparator and Extended Mask/Comparator attributes are implemented in software (for backward compatibility). Since software masking can have an adverse impact on receive performance, National Instruments recommends that you disable software masking for Series 2 interfaces. Disable software masking by specifying don’t-care (0) for all four mask/comparator attributes of ncConfigCANNet.vi."           Here they said to disable the masking for series 2 interfaces. I am not able to co relate what you said and th one mentioed above. Please clarify me. Also its mentioned that to apply 0 to diasble all comparator/masing functionalities. But in the code which you have provided , 0 have been applied to all comparator/Masking attributes of ncConfigCANNet.vi but you have used the comparator/masking functionalities. How will that work. Please clarify this as well
Thanks in advance

  • How to change the delay for a specific message

    Hi,
    I need to change the delay for an specific message, So how can I consume message by JMSCorrelationID which is enqueued with delay?
    I am using Java and Oracle.JMS classes.
    This a sample code of the deque method
    public BasicAQData dequeue(int insId)
    try
         String usr = dbUtil.getCurrentUser();
         AQjmsStreamMessage stream_message = null;
         int id = 0;
         int priority = 0;
         int destino = 0;
         String selector = null;
         String instanceId = String.valueOf(insId);
         BasicAQData dd = new BasicAQData();
         queue = q_sess.getQueue(usr, queue_name);
         selector = "JMSCorrelationID = '"+instanceId+"'";
         receptor = q_sess.createReceiver(queue, selector);
         stream_message = (AQjmsStreamMessage)receptor.receive(sleeptime);
         if (stream_message == null) return null;
         id = stream_message.readInt();
         priority = stream_message.readInt();
         destino = stream_message.readInt();
         stream_message.clearBody();
         dd.setId(id);
         dd.setPriority(priority);
         dd.setDestino(destino);
    return dd;
    It returns the desired message if that is available; however it returns null if the message was enqueued with delay and isn4t still available.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Glenn,
    Messages enqueued with a delay can be dequeued by specifying message id. In your example,
    you can dequeue the message with message_id, change the delay and enqueue the message again.
    Thanks,
    Brajesh.

  • How can I obtain an specific message raised by a database trigger

    Dear friends,
    if I have a database trigger and I want to show an error message which was raised from a database trigger to a form, I can do it by raising an application error inside database trigger, and by showing DBMS_ERROR_TEXT inside ON-ERROR trigger. This is ok for me.
    But how can I do if I want to show a specific message? Let's say I have a BEFORE INSERT table trigger, and I want to verify whether data was correctly informed (for example, "user name must be entered"). If I raise an application error, I see a very big error message which includes both my personal error message and database message.
    Surely I can do a SUBSTR in this message, but can't I do something easier? Let's say I put all error messages in a variable:
    (Let's suppose it's a BEFORE INSERT trigger code, which is related to my table)
    if :NEW.user_name is null then
    p_error_message := 'User name must be entered.';
    end if;
    if p_error_message is not null then
    raise_application_error (-20000, p_error_message);
    end if;
    ... with this p_error_message being shown to final user, with no need to edit it via PL/SQL instructions like SUBSTR. Is this possible? If not, I'll be quite satisfied with SUBSTR because it fits my needs somehow.
    Best regards,

    raise_application_error will be used for raise errors on form.here i'm providing u the example
    CREATE TRIGGER at AFTER UPDATE OR DELETE OR INSERT ON emp
    for each row
    declare
    v_1 number
    begin
    select empno into v_1 from emp where empno=7369 ;
    exception when no_data_found then
    RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(-20001,'No data found'||sqlerrm);
    END;
    now when you insert data on emp table through form. if value does not found of selected empno then No data found will be shown on form

  • Where can I find Adapter Specific Message Attributes ASMA Schema Definition

    Hi all,
    I'm on PI 7.1 and want to use the Mail adapter in XIPAYLOAD mode.
    I want to map to the ASMA schema definition in the Enterprise Service Builder.
    I'm wondering where I can get this "new" schema?

    Should I use MailPackage or ASMA?
               A: SP14 introuced the Adapter Specific Message Attributes (ASMA) that can be used to import and export adapter/transport specific headers into and out of XI. This is a generic mechanism for all adapters and other components such as mapping and routing can directly access or manipulate these values. The functionality provided by MailPackage is available in ASMA. Therefore, it is recommended that new scenarios use ASMA instead of MailPackage.

    John,
    the idea behind ASMA is exactly not to depend on modifying the payload to be able to map data that is just relevant to the communication layer, not the application.
    Instead of having a target XSD that you need to map your source message to, filling the communication details, instead you create XI specific message headers (the so called "adapter specific message attributes") that go in the message within the SOAP Header, hence not requiring any modification of the payload whatsoever.
    Notice that not having to modify the payload doesn't mean not having a mapping program, since the mapping can modify both the payload and the header, and sometimes it's a good approach to fill the ASMAs in a mapping, just bypassing the payload to the output unmodified.

    Henrique.

    Hi Kumar,
    This blog explains about using 'Mail Package' option. We have already gone through this link and configured as explianed.  1.it dosen't support CC,BCC and 2. it is old way.
    We are on PI 7.0. It is recommended to use ASMA and in this it is possible to use CC and BCC.

    Hi Jayan,
        The short form is ASMA which is helpful in capturing the attributes of the sender side Filename,Directory,Times stamp etc.,(ASMA Changes from adapter to Adapter) during run time and modify them if we like according to our requirement.
    Refer the following ASMA in PI7.1

  • How to set adapter specific message attributes on Pi 7.1 inside a Java map.

    Hello,
    how can I set adapter specific message attributes in a Java mapping on PI 7.1.? The TransformationInput grants access to the DynamicConfiguration but the TransformationOutput doesn't. I have found threads refering to the old way of implementing Java mappings (e.g. Get dynamic filename in a Java Mapping (NOT UDF)). But there doesn't seem to be one refering to the actual PI.
    Kind regards,
    Heiko

    Using DynamicConfiguration from the TransformationInput works.

  • Network ACL for two specific ports

    As far as I can tell there is no way to set Network ACLs such that only two specific ports are available. I'm using Oracle 11gR2.
    I'd like a HTTP port and an SMTP port open for the local loopback address. These are ports 7777 and 25. It's my understanding that you can have only one ACL per host. While it seems you can create more, any additional ACL's for the same host don't always work as expected. So does anyone have any advice as how I can do this? I'd rather not have every port between 7777 and 25 available but this is what I currently have...
    DBMS_NETWORK_ACL_ADMIN.ASSIGN_ACL(
    acl => 'local_loopback.xml'
    , host => '127.0.0.1'
    , lower_port => 25
    , upper_port => 7777
    );

    E.g. I assign ports 80, 7777, 8080, and a few others, in a single web-acl.xml, to a network target (host or domain).
    Read the usage notes in Oracle® Database PL/SQL Packages and Types Reference.>Thanks I'll try that. I think we had problems in the past with separate ACL's containing rules for the same host, the response we got back from support was not to do that. This way didn't occur to me.

  • Editable ALV - how to throw an error message for a specific line & field

    Hi all,
    I've implemented an editable ALV and also the ON_DATA_CHECK event to check the values, entered in the ALV. So this works fine and I can check the values.
    But now, I want to throw an error message corresponding to the field in the ALV, where the error occured.
    How can I throw this error message corresponding to a specific line/field in the ALV?
    I was using REPORT_ATTRIBUTE_ERROR_MESSAGE and REPORT_ELEMENT_ERROR_MESSAGE but without success.
    I'm also using a loop over the "CHANGES" in the ALV and within this loop, I use
    elem_alv = node_alv->get_element( index = <change>-element_index )
    to get the element for the message.
    CALL METHOD lo_message_manager->REPORT_ELEMENT_ERROR_MESSAGE
      EXPORTING
        MESSAGE_TEXT              = 'my message'
        ELEMENT                   = elem_alv

    *    PARAMS                    =
    *    MSG_USER_DATA             =

    *    SCOPE_PERMANENT_MSG       = CO_MSG_SCOPE_CTXT_ELEMENT
    *    MSG_INDEX                 =
    *    CANCEL_NAVIGATION         =
    *    IS_VALIDATION_INDEPENDENT = ABAP_FALSE.
    2.) is it right, that for an editable ALV, I can't use the WDDOBEFOREACTION to do the checks?
    If I try to use this, I can't get the values of my ALV table to check it.
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Hi Andreas,
    I have tried to replicate your problem and I am getting the desired output. I have a row by name TEMP_NEW in my ALV and I want to throw an error message whenever the user enters a value of 4 for that particular field. Please find my coding as below. The important thing is where we perform the actual comparison between the r_value and 4. r_value is defined in SALV_WD_S_TABLE_MOD_CELL as reference to type DATA. So suppose the user enters a value of say 3 in the TEMP_NEW field of the ALV then r_value would contain 3 but if you observe its type in debugging mode it would be as TYPE REF TO I and not TYPE I. So you cannot directly say something like:
    "if ls_modified_cells-r_value = 3" as this would lead to a syntax error. Define a field-symbol say <temp> and then use it to get the actual value into it by saying like:
    ASSIGN ls_modified_cells-r_value->* TO <temp>.
    Then you can use this <temp> for comparison in your IF statement like:
    IF  <temp> = 3.
    Find the entire coding as below:
    METHOD check_data.
      DATA: lr_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
            lr_element TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element,
            ls_modified_cells TYPE salv_wd_s_table_mod_cell.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS <temp> TYPE data.
    " get message manager
      DATA lo_api_controller     TYPE REF TO if_wd_controller.
      DATA lo_message_manager    TYPE REF TO if_wd_message_manager.
      lo_api_controller ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
      CALL METHOD lo_api_controller->get_message_manager
        RECEIVING
          message_manager = lo_message_manager.
      lr_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'NODE' ).
      LOOP AT r_param->t_modified_cells INTO ls_modified_cells.
        lr_element = lr_node->get_element( index = ls_modified_cells-index ).
        IF ls_modified_cells-attribute = 'TEMP_NEW'.
    " Get the value extracted into the field symbol from the reference variable
          ASSIGN ls_modified_cells-r_value->* TO <temp>.
    " Use the value present in this field-symbol for your comparison
          IF  <temp> = 4.
    " report message
            CALL METHOD lo_message_manager->report_attribute_error_message
              EXPORTING
                message_text   = 'Sample message text'
                element        = lr_element
                attribute_name = ls_modified_cells-attribute.
          ENDIF.
        ENDIF.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDMETHOD.
    Hope this helps resolve your problem.

  • Disable DSN for specific messages

    Hi,
    i have a problem, where i wish to disable DSN for specific internal users.
    Scenario :
    Interal User a sends a mail to special address c,
    if mail host of special address c is not available or anything else i wish that internal user a is never informed that c didnt recieve his mail.
    Can this be done ?
    i thought about doing this with sieve.. but i dont know if DSNs generated by the IMS Master itself are also checked by sieve mechanism....

    Please do notice that your bits do not support many of the features you want. And that later bits do. If you offer that to your company, perhaps you could update more often, or at least this time. We're not talking about a new package, here, but just an update to the one you have, that's not doing the job properly.
    Also, if you had asked for what you needed at the beginning, I could have helped you better.
    What you want is the sieve command, save-copy, or, perhaps monitor. Please see whitepaper, quoted below:
    Saving Messages for Document Retention
    If the reason you want to capture a copy of the message is for document retention, then you will want to take advantage of the new "capture" sieve action. You have to have iMS v5.2 or better to use this facility. The capture action can only be specified in a system or channel sieve; it is not available in user sieves. The general syntax is
    capture "monitoraddress"
    The monitor action is the same as the capture action. Users are encouraged to use the 'capture' instead of monitor as it best reflects the function being performed.
    This action sends a DSN containing the original message in its entirety to the specified capture address. Since this is a DSN it is effectively a completely separate message so there's little chance of it causing side effects that will alert anyone to the monitoring. In particular, no addresses from the original message appear in the DSN header so there's very little chance of the capture copy getting forwarded to the wrong person by mistake. And even though the original message is encapsulated, it is a MIME encapsulation which means the content is easily accessible in any MIME-compliant user agent.
    The capture action is nonstandard and undocumented. It was originally intended to be part of the habanero release, but the backporting of direct LDAP support to 5.2 means it is available in 5.2 as well. We certainly intend to support it in the future.
    Saving Messages for Replay
    There is an undocumented functionality in iMS for making a copy of messages for archival purposes. It's intended for saving sent messages in the event that they need to be replayed. We did this for folks who send mail via bad links to places where the mail may be received OK by an intermediate host but then subsequently lost on its way to the final destination.
    This is done with the MESSAGE-SAVE-COPY mapping table. Entries in that table have the form
    MESSAGE-SAVE-COPY
    out-channel|from-address|D|msg-filename result
    where
    out-channel -- name of the channel the message is flowing out
    from-address -- originator's address (envelope From: address)
    D -- the letter "D" (stands for "dequeue" )
    msg-filename -- name of the message file being dequeued.
    result -- where to rename the file
    Outbound Traffic
    To save only messages out to the Internet, do
    MESSAGE-SAVE-COPY
    tcp_local|*|D|/instance-root/queue/tcp_local/*/* (tab-or-space)$Y/msg_save/$1/$2
    Be aware that the archive isn't made until the message is actually dequeued from iMS (i.e., sent successfully or bounced). A rename operation is done (as opposed to a copy operation). As such, the message file has to remain on the same disk that the IMTA_QUEUE lives on.
    Inbound Traffic
    To capture inbound mail will want to have good control of what machines/pathways a message will take on its way into your systems. If your setup is such that mail always enters the site via an INBOUND relay and leaves the site via know outbound gateways, then inbound message flow is from INBOUND-MTA --> MsgStore machine.
    Since you can have multiple MsgStore machines behind any one INBOUND-MTA, you will want to make configuration on the INBOUND-MTA machine such that it will use a dedicated queue to talk to the MsgStore machines. For instance, on the INBOUND-MTA machine, you could setup a rewrite rule in your imta.cnf file for MsgStore-A, MsgStore-B, ... MsgStore-Z like:
    Node-A.store.domain.com.au $U%$D@tcp_to_store-daemon
    Node-Z.store.domain.com.au $U%$D@tcp_to_store-daemon
    and a corresponding 'tcp_to_store' channel which looks like:
    ! tcp_to_store
    tcp_to_store smtp mx single_sys subdirs 20 noreverse maxjobs 7 \
    pool SMTP_POOL maytlsserver allowswitchchannel \
    saslswitchchannel tcp_auth
    tcp_to_store-daemon
    This has the effect of routing all mail to any of your MsgStore machines through tcp_to_store channel. Transactions to other machines in your setup will take the tcp_intranet channel.
    With this in place you can then throw in a MSG-SAVE-COPY mapping table which reads:
    MESSAGE-SAVE-COPY
    *|*|D|/instance-root/imta/queue/tcp_to_store/*/* $Y/msg_save/tcp_to_store/$2/$3
    the net effect will be a number of queue files in the /msg_save/tcp_to_store directory which are ready for replay. Note the $2 in the sample represents the subdir that the message was already in. As such if you have 'subdirs 20' on your tcp_to_store channel, you will want to precreate the /msg_save/tcp_to_save/000 thru 019 subdirectories with the appropriate ownership and permissions.
    To initiate the replay, you want to simply move the /msg_save/tcp_to_store/### directories to the /instance-root/imta/queue/reprocess and issue the command 'imsimta cache -synch'. The MTA will start pushing out those messages to the store(s).
    If you want to have multiple replays happening you can kick off parallel runs of the reprocess channel by doing 'imsimta run reprocess &' a number of times.
    And, If you want to segregate the storage for each MsgStore machine, you can make new channel in addition to the one suggested 'tcp_to_store' channel. You would then have groups of rewrite rules directing traffic over those channels or you could have one rewrite rule per channel block that you setup. That way you can have distinct entries in your MSG-SAVE-COPY mapping table.
    Finally, since there is a rename operation taking place when you use the MSG-SAVE-COPY mapping table, you will want to make sure that at the first pass that /msg_save is on the same device that your queues live on.
    Short Term Arvchival
    You could setup a process in cron to move those files to a new device on a periodic basis. Better yet, schedule this via the job_controller. For instance, these lines at the top of your job_controller.cnf file:
    [PERIODIC_JOB=archive_mover]
    command=/usr/iplanet/sitescripts/arc_mover.sh
    time=/00:10
    will run the arc_mover.sh script for you every 10 minutes. Your arc_mover.sh could look something like:
    #!/bin/ksh
    # ***Script is untested - should generate some ideas though****
    DUMMY=`test -d /var/tmp/timestamp.dir || mkdir -p /var/tmp/timestamp.dir`
    cd /msg_save
    # First pass
    for dir in `find ./ -type d`
    do
    DUMMY=`test -d /real/storage/area/$dir || mkdir -p /real/storage/area/$dir`

    do
    mv $msgfile /real/storage/area/$dir/
    done
    cd /msg_save
    done
    touch /var/tmp/timestamp.dir
    # Second pass cause we do not know how long we took.
    for dir in `find ./ -type d`
    do
    DUMMY=`test -d /real/storage/area/$dir || mkdir -p /real/storage/area/$dir`
    cd $dir
    for msgfile in `find ./ -type f -newer /var/tmp/timestamp.dir -name "00"`
    do
    mv $msgfile /real/storage/area/$dir/
    done
    cd /msg_save

  • How can I have user specific filters for information display on portlet?

    Hello Everyone !!!!!
    I am new to the Portlet World
    My query is..
    How can I have filters on a portlet screen ?
    I want to display certain information on a portlet which must be filtered and ordered.
    Example:
    In Internet Banking , I want to display transfers which had happened in the last month. So I ( as a user ) will keep this predefined somewhere may be in portletData.
    Whenever that user logs in for the next time, he will be able to view account transfers taken place in the lastest month only.
    This must be user specific. As another user can keep the setting in a different way. That is he/she might want to view account transfers for the last week only.
    When user clicks on a button a new screen( filter screen ) is loaded where he need to enter the dates of From and To .....
    The user saves this.....( may be in portletdata)
    So that when he logs in .. next time screen loads with the defined settings in filter....
    Any idea ? How can this be achieived ?
    Thanks in advance.... :-)

    Hi Prashanth,
    sorry for last thread ... that not contain full information ...
    For message type LOIPRO you can use process code APLI.
