Can't add actionscript to button instance

How come my fading-in buttons can't be made clickable. I
tried adding actionscript to the buttons as they are fading but
they don't accept actionscript while tweening. I'm using MX 2004
and am a newbie. The links work fine after the animation. Please

your buttons are being controlled by a timeline based tween
and therefore will not become operable until they encounter the
code responsible for their events on the timeline. use some script
for your fades instead of relying on the time line, that way you
can have the buttons and all their necessary code on the same frame
- in your case frame 1 - (make sure your code is on a layer labeled
"actions" atop all your other layers - nothing should ever be on
your "actions" layer except script).

you can't add code to objects using as3.
that's an feature of as1 that was (unfortunately) allowed with as2, but finally eliminated in as3.

CS3, and i want to add some actionscript to skip to another frame
on mouse click, i've done it before on flash 8, and it worked but
on CS3 it says "current selection cannot have actions applied to
it". anyone know why and how i can get round it?

Can't add pin it button or amazon button and can't exit customization

I cannot add the pin it button or the amazon button through customization. I also have a problem with the whole customization process. I cannot exit. I have a little screen thing on customization that when I tried to open was in Japanese and really afraid of what it could have done to my computer. Here is the screen shot of it on customization.

How can I add custom toolbar buttons to load different TOCs?

In my WebHelp output, I want to have custom buttons on the toolbar that when clicked load a specific TOC in the left navigation pane. For example, when the user clicks the PC button, the PC TOC loads in the left pane. When the user clicks the VM button, the VM TOC loads in the left pane. All of the help files are managed in one project and some files will appear in both TOCs.
I think this should be possible but not sure how to make it happen. Is there some JavaScript that I should add to the custom toolbar item to load the TOC on click? How do I specify the TOC that I want to show for each button?
BTW - I'm using RoboHelp 8 (8.0.2) to generate WebHelp output. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you were to upgrade to RoboHelp 9 it would simplify your issue. Version 9 offers a new feature called Dynamic User-Centric Content (DUCC) and provides a nifty little drop-down selector in the Navigation Mini-toolbar.
As you are on version 8 the only way I can fathom you would manage this is by generating two different outputs. Each output would use its respective TOC. The Toolbar button in each project could be configured to open the other project.
You might first decry having to manage two outputs and all the files. But if you pick apart DUCC and the way it is configured by Adobe, it works in much the same manner. It's just hidden from your initial view.

Can't add a toolbar button in a overlay extension

Hello, I'm having trouble adding a button to the main toolbar.
I'm creating a xul overlay extension but for some reason I can't seem to add the button to the toolbar. I'm able to install it, but not make the button appear.
What I'm trying to do is create a toolbar button, that opens a popup containing an iframe. I need exactly what the user Felipe Silva show in this example:

The only difference is that the iframe needs to load an html file packaged with the extension and not some external source.
I'd also like to add the button by default to the toolbar but I need to get the button working first.

I know this would be easier if I was using the SDK but the toolbar button module requires Firefox 29 which is not stable yet so I prefer doing this way.

In the meantime, you may wish to consider using one of the 16 Frames offered in iDvd as opposed to one of three Shapes.

Can you add a Print Button to one page?

I have a form with 15 or so pages of information. I do not want the submitter to get a printout of the entire thing. However, they are given a chance to pay via PayPal or pay by mailing a check.
If they chose PayPal, no big deal. If they chose to mail a check - I would like them to either GET a print out of the last page, or have a button they press to get a print out of the last page. This page would be required to be sent along with the check so I can tie it back to the record.
Is this possible?

What is it you need to accomplish?
If you just want work to be saved as people move through the form, you could prompt them to hit the save link, if you've enabled it. This would allow them to come back to the form and finish it later, and preserves all selections and filled-in information. When they then hit the "Submit" button at the end of the form, all of their info deposits into the data set.
If you don't mind the data being split across multiple data sets, you could create multiple small single-page forms, and when the respondent hits the "Submit" button, they could be automatically redirected to the next form. You would set this up in the form Options tab and select the Redirect URL panel.
Otherwise, follow Josh's suggestion for a PDF.

No. When you ran iPhoto the next time a new preference file was created.
Open iPhoto's General preference pajne and set iPHoto to edit in the main window.
Then double click on the thumb nail to enter the edit mode where the edit tools are located at the bottom of the window.
When you crop a photo set the constrain menu to the size you want, adjust the crop area and then click on the Crop button. Then click on the Done button. That will save the crop.

Can I add a Close button to a popup window?

My RoboHelp 10 project has nested popup windows (that is, I can open a popup window within a popup window within a popup window). The problem is, when I close the popup window at the lowest level, all of them close simultaneously. This is not good for navigation, particularly if the user is following instructions in the popup window and needs to go back up one popup window level.
Is there a method by which I can close each individual popup window, for example, by adding a Close button to them? In other words, can I change the format of the popup windows?
Your help will be much appreciated in finding a solution to this problem because it is fundamental to the way we want our Help to function. If a solution can not be found, we may have to change to another product to produce our Help.

But I'm not sure whether this will work correctly with RoboHelp generated popups.
Another question: why would you want multiple popups? Wouldn't it be better to create a popup that can tthen redirect to another topic? Having lots of windows wil become very confusing very fast.
