Can't connect to single sign-on

Installing the 9ias on Red Hat 7.3 is partially successful,
with an important exception: the single sign-on server configuration
assistant fails with a JAVA.UTIL.HashSet error.
Anyone out there been able to put 9ias on Red Hat? Without being
able to connect to single sign-on, application server installation
stops.
I hate to admit defeat, but installing this software is a challenge.
Should you know of a trick to getting single sign-on to work, please
pass it my way.
Bob

I can't access the linked website directly. When I go to the site with other ways, the address bar changes to a lot of different things but I can get in. Thru FIOS, the page just hangs at the first address and times out.
Only error message is err_connection timed out.

  • How can i configure firefox single sign-on for urls on citrix environment to affect all users

    Hello,
i tried to configure single sign-on on firefox, which is published on our citrix environment and i tried to setup it as per this article "http://support.citrix.com/article/ctx120598" this method and it only applies for a single user, is there any way of doing the config to apply for any user which is loged via citrix session...?
    Thank you,
    Manoj.

you can use a mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to lock prefs or specify new (default) values for all users and profile folders.
Place a local-settings.js file in the defaults\pref folder where also the channel-prefs.js file is located to specify using mozilla.cfg.
    pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
    pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0);
These functions can be used in the mozilla.cfg file:
defaultPref(); // set new default value
pref(); // set pref, allow changes in current session
lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes

  • Can I connect a single fp-1001 to two fp-1000's each on seperate cpu's?

Is it possible to poll a single FP1001 from two computers using an FP1000 on each of the computers?

    sorry, you're wrong.

Have a look at the description. This is as its written in the EIA Catalog
(Electronics Industries Alliance Standards and Engineering Publications).
This Publication is for free: http://www.tiaonline.org
The complete Standard papers can be bought for the price at the end of the
    next paragraph.
    TIA/EIA-485-A
Electrical Characteristics of Generators and Receivers for Use in Balanced
    Digital Multipoint Systems.
    (ANSI/TIA/EIA-485-A-98)
This Standard specifies the electrical characteristics of generators and
receivers that may be employed when specified for the interchange of
binary signals in multipoint interconnection of digital equipment. When
implemented with the guidelines of this standard, MULTIPLE GENERATORS AND
RECEIVERS may be attached to a common interconnecting cable.

No, ist definately for multimaster and its half duplex and needs only two
    lines.
RS-422 is what you describe, which is full duplex and needs 4 lines.

IF NI says, their RS485/422 hardware can do RS-485, then damages must be
    covered by warranty.
    So lets get thing working
    Whats wrong:
NI sometimes write RS-485, but infact means RS-422.
Sample: Measurement and Automation Catalog jan. 2002, page 505 ( Or have
take a look in the contents of the catalog at "Distributed I/O",
    "Field-Point".
There is a picture showing connections between a computer- RS-232-
    FP-1000-RS-485- 2 FP- modules.
At this place things are wrong, because cabeling is 4- wire and true
    RS-485 is 2 wire!
    Whats correct:
Othertimes NI knows and also writes the correct pinout of connectors and
    cabeling of RS-485:
Sample: NI Serial Device User Manual of my ENET-485/4, Appendix D, Serial
    Port Information.
At the chapter RS-485, They write: "Unlike the RS-422 standard, RS-485
adresses the issue of using multiple transmitters on the same line. RS-485
can also withstand multiple drivers driving conflicting signals at the
    same time."
Other NI- Serial Port device manuals may contain similar texts.
    So here's the solution:
If NI says FP-modules can handle RS-485 and there are only 4 connection
cables for the network connection, then one has to bridge TX+ with RX+ and
TX- with RX-. In this way you just have 2 network wires left. When doing
this, RS- Network devices may handle this situation automaticly, or they
    have to be configurated.
For my ENET 485/4, this means:
4-wire RS-422: Serial Port config: Tranceiver mode = 4 wire
2-wire RS-485: Serial Port config: Tranceiver mode = 2 wire TxRdy Auto
So how should involved RS-485 devices behave:
By default, RS-485 all active devices of a network are in Read- mode, so
there are no conflicts. If one device wants to write to the bus, ist
switches its tranceiver to write mode, writes the data to the bus and goes
back to read mode again. The tranceiver switching time from read to write,
or back from write to read, should take 400 seconds each. People working
with labview have to insert 1ms delay if they want ro read data from the
    serial port, after writing.
    See National Semiconductor application notes:

Some timing info, look AN-702 at
    http://www.national.com/appinfo/interface/0,1801,121,00.html
My National Instruments ENET-485/4 (Ethernet to 4-port RS-232/422/485)
needs 20ms (= 50 X 400s) though. The Ni- Support couldn't help me in this
case yet. I don't know how NI-PCI-Serial Port cards behave, but I used a
dozen of RS-232/485 Converter of Adlinks NuDAM series: ND-6520.
    http://www.adlink.com.tw/products/RemoteData/ND-6520102130.htm
They work perfect, connected right to the PCs- serial port. They can
    handle RS-485 and 422.
In the future, if NI can't get my ENET-485/4 do work with correct timing,
    I'll try MOXA http://www.moxapartner.com/ .
Well, this was lots of technical RS-xxx info.

  • Can I have a single sign on pass word and ID for FireFox Sync and Accounts?

I can't keep my ID's and Password's organized for Firefox Accounts, Firefox Sync and Mozilla. Some how I've used two different email accounts and they have different passwords.
    I'm using a MacBook with OS X 10.1.1 and FireFox 34.0

Firefox Accounts and Sync do use the same email address (username) and same password. It's one service - Sync uses Firefox Accounts for web login.
As far as "Mozilla", do you mean this forum?
You may use the same email address and same password, but the various Mozilla websites and services do use separate registration and login databases; none are connected with other websites.

    Hello Prasanna,
    There is a new code sample on dev2dev ( http://dev2dev.bea.com/index.jsp ) that
shows how to modify the login framework for Portal to support single signon. This
code example modifies the security and portal webflows to allow you to plug in a

  • NCO and Single Sign On

    Hello,
Please could someone explain how I can get my windows application to connect via single sign on.  Currently the application gets the necessary connection string from the SAPLOGON.INI file (via the SAPLogonDestination) and attempts a connection after requesting client, username, password and language.  Someone would like to use this application in their work environment (single sign on via Microsoft NTLM) and I wanted to know what needs to be done to implement this.
    Thanks,
    Charles

There is quite a bit of information available in the NCo 2.x documentation (available in the VS online help): There is a whole chapter about SSO.
Here are the steps in short:
    - You need a so-called GSS-provider that is install on both sides, client and SAP-Server.
    - For Windows the easiest solution is to use GSSNTLM or GSSKERB5 (for NTLM or Active Directory based SSO).
    - You need to configure the the provider on server side with some profile paramters and at the client side with some environment variables. OSS note 595341 contains the W2K-GSS-Provider as an MSI-Package that automatically sets the variables on client side.
    - Make sure that SSO works with SAPGUI.
    - Now you can use SSO also from NCo, by removing the password from the connection string and adding SSOPartnerName.

  • ADFS single sign-on with office 365 and multiple forests

I have 2 forests with one of them (Forest A) only running Exchange / Office 365 in hybrid mode. The other forest (Forest B) has my AD accounts for everyday user login and work. Is there a way to set up ADFS between these 2 forests in order for Forest B
to achieve single sign-on to office 365? Today users have to login with separate office 365 accounts in order to access email and sharepoint. Short of migrating Forest A into Forest B and getting down to one forest / domain, is there anything else we can do
    to achieve single sign-on?

    Hi,
Based on my research, we can have one ADFS farm servicing multiple forests, here are some related articles below for your references:

  • Can I connect my Sony DCRHC42?? USB not compatible, and no firewire!

I'm so frustrated - I used my Sony DCRHC42 camcorder with my old iMac and it was great - but now I find I have no way to connect it to my MacBook. The USB is not compatible and this computer doesn't have a firewire port! Is there a work around?

Ok, since both are "n"s then you have two basic choices to enable the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station's (AXn) Ethernet port to connect to the TV: 1) Configure the AXn as a Wireless-to-Ethernet bridge (ProxySTA), or 2) Configure the AXn to extend the wireless range of the 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn).
If you don't really have a requirement to extend the wireless range of the AEBSn, I would suggest that you go with the first option: ProxySTA.
To activate ProxySTA, you must set up the Express to join a wireless network and then enable the Allow Ethernet Clients setting; both settings are located in the Wireless tab of AirPort Utility. The feature should work with any wireless network: a, b, g, or n; and 5GHz or 2.4GHz. (Note that the Express, which ships with firmware 7.3, must also be updated to firmware 7.3.1 for this feature to appear.) Configured as a ProxySTA, the AXn connects wirelessly to the AEBSn's wireless network and its Ethernet port is enabled. You can then connect a single or multiple Ethernet clients (using an Ethernet switch) to this port for network/Internet access.

  • Make an app that connect to MSSQL server by single sign on

A straightforward task. I want to create an GUI app that can connect to MSSQL 2014 express when user run it.
Lets say a domain user name "peterpan" was grant modify right of certain database in SQL server.
After user login Win7, then run the app. It auto log on to the SQL server and show a list of database for choose to modify.
The problem is i cant find any info about single sign on vc++ code/library for reference.
The app is plan to written by vc++ with MFC, ATL. Are these libraries has the method to do want i want?

    >Could you elaborate?
Sure.  Here's the high level of 20 years of history of Microsoft data access APIs :)
First there was ODBC, which is still the most widely-used and adopted API for data access from unmanaged code.
Then various COM (Component Object Model) wrappers and new libraries were introduced, including ADO, DAO, and RDO which were all higher-level wrappers meant to simplify data access.  And OleDB was introduced which is a COM low-level data access API,
    similar to ODBC.
When .NET was introduced in 2003, it came with a new data access API, called ADO.NET which is the preferred API for .NET (or "managed") code.  The ADO.NET Provider for SQL Server (System.Data.SqlClient) is not based on ODBC or ADO.  It's
a ground-up managed client for SQL Server.
Later the OleDB provider for SQL Server was
deprecated, and a new SQL Server ODBC Driver was released.  Leaving ODBC as the preferred API for unmanaged C++ development.
See also Data Access Technologies Road Map, which is a few years old, but explains what lots of the older data access technologies were.

  • Oracle Single Sign on JSP Database Connection

I am writing a JSP Search Screen that launches off of Oracle Portal (behind SSO). What I'm looking to do is have the JSP connect to the database as that user, and then show the information available to that user (we have this handled by a VPD). I was wondering how I could get access to the single signon RAD in order to connect to the database from within my JSP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Darsh,
    1. Oracle Internet Directory (OID) is Oracle LDAP storage solution (more here), Oracle Virtual Directory is Oracle solution that can read identity data (and filter it (mask it) based on policies) from Oracle/non-Oracle databases, Oracle/non-Oracle Directories and files and provide the user profiles as LDAP view (more here), There is nothing called Oracle Active Directory, you must be referring to Microsoft Active Directory.
    2. No, Oracle Single Sign On (OSSO) is a feature in iAS (its obsolete), Identity Management is wide umbrella of solutions and concepts.
    3. Oracle Access Manager is one component of Oracle Identity and Access Management suite of products.
    4. Webgate is Oracle access Manager agent that is installed on a webtier, it intercepts the web requests and collect the credentails, send them to Oracle Access Manager for security evaluation (decide what Authentication is needed, verify collect credentials, etc), webgate then enforce the Access Manager decision.
    5. Oracle EBS AccessGate is a java application that has the same use of OAM Webgate (it is OAM agent) but specific to E Business suite, EBS Access Gate is the new solution replacing OSSO agents, OAM is replacing OSSO server component, EBS and OSSO customers can use OAM server with OSSO agents, or with EBS AccessGate.
