Can't deploy content.jar on Portal 8.1 SP4 with DB2

Greetings,
Have installed WebLogic Portal 8.1 SP4 with DB2 8.1.8. While deplying content.jar which contains BEA's classes relatives to the content management, the following exception is raised:
<Oct 19, 2005 2:54:32 PM MEST> <Error> <EJB> <BEA-011076> <Unable to deploy the EJB 'ValueBean' because the database table 'CMV_VALUE' is not accessible. Please ensure that this table exists and is accessible.>
Of course, the CMV_VALUE table exists and it has records inside. Every thing seems to be okay from the point of view of connection pools, data sources and JNDI names. The deployment works properly with Oracle and PointBase.
The JDBC driver I'm using is com.ibm.db2.jcc.Db2Driver.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Kind regards,
Nicolas DUMINIL

Hello,
More information is required to help you, and as James suggested, the best option would be to move to EclipseLink instead of TopLink Essentials as EclipseLink is actively being developed and is the JPA 2 RI.
Running it on the latest EclipseLink ensures that you are not hitting an issue that has already been fixed, and both are based off TopLink.
Are you deploying an Ear or an exploded directory? If the later, can you try using an Ear?
Best Regards,
Chris

  • How can I deploy a jar with directory entries using deploy profiles?

    Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a jar file using deloy profiles, but the jar file deployed contains no directory entry. Why?
Is it possible to do that using deploy profiles?

    my project looks like this:
    src +
     - test
         +- Main.java
         +- Test.java
when I create a jar with 'jar -cf‘, I get something like this (with flat folders view):
    META-INF
    test
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
but when I use deploy profile to deploy a jar, I get this:
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
The directory entries are missing in the jar file.
    How can I fix this?

  • Changed in orion-ejb-jar.xml - can I deploy that jar without restart?

    Hi,
When I modify orion-ejb-jar.xml and restart the server, it sees that it has changed, and redeploys that ejb jar.
Is it possible to do this without a restart?
    Roxanne

I use jdeveloper 903 version to create only one entity bean, and set the force-update=true in the orion-ejb-jar.xml, when verify it, it is ok, when deploy it to the oc4j 903 version, it throws error message.
you may try it using jdeveloper 9.0.3 version.

    Hi!
I have writing an ant script but I stopped.
A command with antcall and two parameters

  • How can I deploy a .pkg file that requires a folder with customizations?

I am attempting to deploy a pkg file with ARD.  The customizations for this pkg are stored in a folder called custom.  If the PKG and Custom folder are in the same directory the Pacage will apply those customizations.  What would be the best way to acomplish this for me with ARD?
    Thanks

I'd like to thank "roam" for the link http://www.searchwaresolutions.com which opened a site for "printwindow" for Mac OS. Wow!! That was easy! It's a free download for the standard product which luckily worked for me. After downloading PrintWindow, and putting it in my Applications and reading PDF instructions, I opened PrintWindow and clicked "File". Then I chose "Print Folder Listing", clicked that and see "Print Listing" of all my Mac's folders. Then, I selected the folder for which I wanted the file names listed on paper. Then it opens a Print Options menu. I clicked Print. Then, a "Page Setup" menu appears. I clicked "OK". Then a "Print" menu appears. On the "Print" menu, there is a PDF options menu!! On that, there is a "Save as PDF"!! I clicked "Save as PDF" and then there is a small "Save" menu where I typed a new file name and the folder in which I wanted the listing saved. It worked! Thank you.

  • Content Management in Portal How to

    Hi,
I´m Learning XML Forms but I have red that it is too static and I was wondering how do we manage content within Portal and KM? is there another tool to create and deploy content within the Portal? or it has to be developed and called from an iView?
    Thanx in Advanced!
    Gerardo J

    Hello Gerardo,
I agree with you that XML Forms are static, that means you create one form for each common structure document that is to be published.
But this functionality has its own advantage, check this link for more infos:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/69/d96b9ba84611d5993600508b6b8b11/content.htm
Once you have your XMLForms ready use these forms to publish documents and then show them in you IView.
Here is a link how you can configure CommandGroups in your IView and show available XMLForms.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/8d/2813418366f023e10000000a155106/content.htm
We have also a Business Package easyWCM which stands for "easy Web Content Management" which exactly addresses your requirements.
You can check our product at http://www.easyWCM.com
To get an idea how XMLForms are shown on IViews you can check the screenshot of easyWCM.

  • How can I deploy EFS using Group Policy and automatically encrypt computers for ALL users who login?

How can I deploy EFS using Group Policy and Active Directory with a goal to automatically encrypt computers for ALL users who login? (NOT an option for me to use BitLocker)
I was asked to deploy EFS to encrypt the user my documents folder and profile on all of the users laptops. The laptops are in common areas (board meeting rooms, etc) and security of files is a must.
I successfully created a recovery certificate in AD. I created an OU and setup an EFS policy and users can now login and select to encrypt their own files. The issue is that management would like to have automaticy Encrypt ALL users my documents AUTOMATICALLY
    when a user login.
    Can this be done?

  • Does pass-by-value in an EJB deployment descriptor work in iAS 6.0 sp4?

I deployed an EJB into iAS 6.0 SP4 with pass-by-value session element set to true but the EJB is still passing by reference. Is this a known problem in SP4? I checked the session descriptor in kregedit for that EJB and I couldn't find any entry that relates to the pass-by-value element.
    Please help.

    Hi Yudong,
Thanks for the info. Do you know if this is only specific to SP4? The problem seems to be present in SP3 as well.
    Thanks

Anyone can help me to solve the problem?
I'm using JDEV 11.1.1.2.0 and embed WLS
    Thanks and Best regards, kenshin

It normally indicates something wrong with your auth provider settings. I believe there are similar messages on this forum , search them(the last time was someone had a different schema for his user tables than the normal portal schema). See if there are any other errors (before) or the complete stack trace.
Check whether your security realm is configured correctly and all the expected users and roles are present there.

  • Howto deploy content via portal application

    Hi all,
currently i'm integrating some external web apps into my EP6.0 SP2. Therefore I use the application integrator plus some iview und system templates.
I've developed the templates as components in a portal application in the portalapp.xml.
But now I'm searching for a way to deploy not only the templates but also real content, e.g. instances of my templates with a portalapp.xml.
At this time I must make the concrete iviews based on my templates by hand.
Is there any doc outside the targets this approach? What I've found is the Portal Runtime Guide, whith an overview of portalapp.xml structure, but nothing concrete.
    Regards
        Steffen...

Thanks for the reply ... here is the answer to your questions along with an update to some more information after trying something different
Did you deploy the WebCenter Managed server from Jdeveloper
I am deploying the application to the WebCenter Managed server from JDeveloper.
What managed server did you deploy it to - a custom server that you created?
Yes this is a custom Managed Server (called MindFlow). At the time of your response the only two servers up and running on WebCenter was the AdminServer and MindFlow.
    Did the deployment go through?
    Yes
Are there any errors in the managed server log when you access the page?
Yes these where the errors showing that it could not connect with the metadata via the repositories.
    Now for the update:
I went ahead and started up the WLS_Portlet managed server that comes with WebCenter. When I did this I got the following error:
WSM-04509: cannot initialize the connection to the data store
I then deployed the Portlet Producer Application to the WLS_Portlet from JDeveloper. I then grabbed the url for the newly created portlet producer and updated the connection on the Portal application. After doing this and updating the portal.jspx file, I then deployed the Portal application to the MindFlow managed web server. I then brought up the portal.jspx page via a browser and was able to bring back results. The only issue now is that while doing this I got multiple MDS errors (including the initialize error above) and not sure if I can ignore these or not. One of the errors received was as follows:
oracle.mds.exception.MDSException: MDS-01258: The value @MDS_CLASS for property class-name is invalid.

  • Can not deploy: NoClassDefFoundError

    Hi,
i want to create a new folder in KM-Content of my Portal. Therefor i have write the following piece of code and import the libraries below. My problem is that i can not deploy my Application.
I get the error message: Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sapportals/wcm/repository/IResourceContext
I have read that i have to add a Sharing reference to "knowledgemanagement" in the portaapp.xml file.
But i use a Java Bean/Web Service (EJB) with a Application (EAR), so i have nothing with <b>dist/PORTAL-INF</b>.
What can i do? How can i deploy my application and solve the problem?

                   if (aCollection != null) {

                             aCollection.createResource("myFolder", null, null);
              } catch (Exception ex) {
                   ex.printStackTrace();
    regards,
    Sharam

    Hi Sharam,
Make sure that you have your sharing reference set properly in the portalapp.xml file. Open portalapp.xml and click on the Application tab. This is what I like to have mine set to:
    SharingReference=usermanagement,knowledgemanagement,landscape,htmlb,exportalJCOclient,exportal
Save your changes and the recompile/deploy.
    Hope this helps!

  • External Link or iFrames to show a deployed application inside my portal template

    Greetings,
after days of posting in WebLogic Portal discussion forums with no reply, im posting the same
discussion here, hoping someone can help me out with this task.
Im using JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 and i create a web portal application.
I have adf application deployed to a standalone weblogic server that works fine.
In my portal i add a extrernal link, inside default-navigation-model (used from oracle's example)
to render my application inside the portal's context area. (i try to use iFrames, but it didn't work)
If i add another web page, it works fine, it shows my portal menu on top where the banner is, the menu,
and below the website. But when i add a extrernal link to show my application, it shows nothing, just
blank white background. I also noticed this, it happens if i add google website too.
Is there any security i have to turn it off in weblogic so it can be rendered on my web portal?

    Have you set FRAME_BUSTINH?
Check Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level

  • StackOverflowError when deploying sbConfig.jar in weblogic sbconsole

StackOverflowError when deploying sbConfig.jar in weblogic sbconsole
    Hello,
We would like to determine the possible causes of the error encountered when importing sbconfig jar in OSB 10gr3. See error message below.

This error shows after clicking import, and this prevents us from reaching the activate or submit part.
We have tried importing using the 3 ways below but the same error above is encountered:
    1. Workshop (publish via OSB - Run As Server, and OSB - Export Resources to Server).
    2. OSB console.
    3. WLST.
We would like to know what causes this javastackoverflow. Kindly verify also the java mem args set in setDomainEnv (as the issue might be related to java memory):
    MEM_ARGS="-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m"
    export MEM_ARGS
    MEM_PERM_SIZE="-XX:PermSize=48m"
    export MEM_PERM_SIZE
    MEM_MAX_PERM_SIZE="-XX:MaxPermSize=512m"
    export MEM_MAX_PERM_SIZE
We will appreciate any input you will provide. Thanks.

I was able to activate the task with no out of memory issue after setting -Xmx to 2048m. The activation took around 25 mins. Not sure if this is just fine.
I am curious on the error logs below seen during the activation. See below:

  • PS 7.1 (JES 5u1-Linux) - Can't deploy psconsole

    Hi,
I've installed Portal 7.1 for Redhat Linux (JES 5 u1) using the Application Server as the web container. I know from reading the forums that the installer doesn't install the PSconsole and that it needs to be deployed manually after installation. The problem is that I can't deploy it.
Note: After trying this, I then applied the patch 124303-11 (ps71u2), and tried again but it produced the same errors.
Here's how I try to deploy the psconsole.war:
    /opt/sun/portal/bin/psadmin deploy-portlet -u amadmin -f /opt/sun/passfile -p portal1 -g /opt/sun/portal/admin/psconsole.war
Invalid Portlet war file. Possible reason can be error reading WEB-INF/portlet.xml from portlet war file,
please check the cli debug logs or MBean debug logs for more details.
Here's a snip from the log file /var/opt/sun/portal/logs/admin/portal.0.0.log:

    Does anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

I believe you are simply using the incorrect port number. Port 4849 is the port reserved for use by the App Server Domain Administration Server console. A default installation of Sun App Server creates another instance using ports 8080/8181 for HTTP/S respectively. You should be able to reach psconsole with:
    http://host.domain:8080/psconsole
https://host.domain:8181/psconsoleLog in using the amadmin account credentials that were configured for Access Manager.
You can also run psadmin list-portals to see where the portal was deployed.
