Can't find Photoshop after installing CC in OSX 10.9

I've installed CC twice.  Photoshop appears in "Your Apps" in the CC menu, where it shows as "Up to Date," but it's not in my Applications folder.  Searching the whole computer, Photoshop CC doesn't seem to exist anywhere.  Adobe help says to launch it through the Applications folder, but it's not there.

  • Can't open Photoshop after installing Yosemite

Hi all, Not sure if this in the right place? I've got a Macbook Pro and have recently just installed the Yosemite operating system. After installing it, I have tried to open Photoshop but it is not allowing me to do so. Photoshop tells me to install Java 6.0 - even though I've already done this twice! Can anyone advise please?

Did you delete Photoshop's preferences before re-installing? If you didn't, then you ended up rightwhere you started after re-installing.  Uninstalling and re-installing does not delete the corrupted preference files.
In addition, do not forget what I said:
[…delete Photoshop's preferences before re-installing…] thenUninstall Photoshop, run Adobe CS Cleaner Tool, Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility, install Photoshop from scratch, update it, run Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility AGAIN
Finally, apply all the available updates again, as the re-install wil instal the ancient, original CS5 version.
Have you actually done all of this as already instructed in this thread?  If not, then please do not post again until you have done so.

  • Can't load photoshop after installing yosemite

Having trouble loading PS5.5 after installing Yosemite - getting error message 'An unexpeced and unrecoverable problem has occurred, photoshop will now exit'.

FOUND MY FIX. I did the 8.25 update for Java...no luck. So I dug a little more. Looks like it was trying to send me to a support.apple link that was dead, so I went digging for where it was trying to point me.

  • Can't find icon after installing Elements 6.

I installed Elements 6 after I replaced Hard drive, but when completed, there is no icon to access Photoshop.

You will need to install Rosetta to possibly have Photoshop Elements function.  Please see If you need to install Rosetta - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.6/en/27987.html for details on installing Rosetta.

  • Can't find Dock after installing 10.6.7 update

THis happen to anyone else? What do do? Worked fine before. I restarted and that did not bring Dock back....
Two days ago I started working with Spaces on f8 key but that did not seem to stop access to Dock; problem only started when I installed the latest 10.6.7 update this morning.
    Model Identifier:          Macmini3,1

Make sure that the dock isn't hidden by presscing command-option-d
Also make sure that it isn't off to one of the sides.
If that doesn't help open terminal and type "killall Dock" with out the quotes.
See if that helps but if it doesn't,  With the finder window open go to ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist and trash that file and the com.apple.dock.db file
    Repair permissions

  • Can't us photoshop after installing ssd

I installed a ssd in my computer and installed windows on it.  I have Photoshop 11 on my old hard drive.  Now I cannot use it.  I purchased it online but do not have the key for it.  It doesnt show up on the site as a purchased product.  I may have set up a different account at the time but do not have a record of that or the login.

With any system change I would expect that Photoshop might detect that something in the execution environment changed and require reactivation.  That's the nature of the beast.  For example, the activation process I use for my own products looks at a number of different things in the computer system to determine if the software is running on the same system it was activated on.  There is some allowance for changing things (e.g., because people occasionally upgrade their computers), but swapping to an entirely different disk will cause a need for reactivation.
All that said, please read the original post carefully.  I believe this is a not a discussion of activation at all, but a case where wgdunbar appears to want to install a fresh copy on a new disk, and just doesn't have the serial number, nor the Adobe ID he/she used to originally buy the software.

  • I can't find iSync after lion install

I can't find iSync after lion install. I try too sync with my N8 Nokia. The program iSync dont appear in program mapp.

It's Apple's software not yours and as shown by it's exclusion on the OS X Lion pages is not part of the new OS. Upgrading to Lion is optional.
It's a trivial matter to copy it back from your Snow Leopard backup, but using it under Lion is not supported at all and WILL stop working sooner or later.
Why would it be sensible for Apple to include software in their new OS that they know will stop working?

  • I can't find Photoshop on my Mac

I can use InDesign and Illustrator but when I search for Photoshop, it doesn't come up. Photoshop files are opening on Illustrator. I checked Adobe Application Manager as well and it says that Photoshop is up to date!
    Help please!

May be the files allocation is not correct, Right click (command + Click) on the file which you want to open with photoshop everytime and click on Get info and change the file allocation.
In case you can't find photoshop installed on your system or photoshop is removed from your system then please go to Application/Utilities/Adobe Installers and double click the Photoshop uninstaller so that photoshop will get removed completly from your system.
After uninstalling, Install Photoshop CS6 using Adobe Application Manager and then try to use.

  • I can't update iPhoto after installing OSX 10.9.2, it has the name otto@**** in the apple ID box and will not let me change it. Any thoughts?

    Hello people,
I can't update iPhoto after installing OSX 10.9.2, it has the name otto@**** in the apple ID box and will not let me change it. Any thoughts?
    Thanks

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
    File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
    Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
    Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
    Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • I just purchased Adobe Lightroom 5 and can't activate it after installing it on my computer because the product box doesn't contain a 24 digit S/N serial number but an 8 digit PN number. Does anyone have a solution?

I just purchased Adobe Lightroom 5 and can't activate it after installing it on my computer because the product box doesn't contain a 24 digit S/N serial number but an 8 digit PNB number. I contacted the vendor and they told me to seek help via the Adobe help lines. Does anyone have a solution?

Unfortunately, the "find your serial number quickly" link does not work because I don't have any number on my Lightroom cdrom box with 24 digits... All I have is an 8 digit PN number... :-/

  • How do I install OS 10.7 NOT 10.7.5 on a mac running Snow Leopard 6.8  i.e. where can I find the original install app for Lion OS 10.7.0?

I'm running 10.6.8 Snow Leopard fine on my MacPro1,1, Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 2.66 GHz  Mac, but I need to install Lion 10.7.0 to run a program I need. How do I install OS 10.7 NOT 10.7.5, because I get this message when I try to install 10.7.5, which I've downloaded:"This update requires Mac OS X version 10.7." on a mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8, So i need to install the original 10.7.0 over the 10.6.8  i.e. where can I find the original install app for Lion OS 10.7.0? The original Lion 10.7. is not avaialable for purchase from the App store or anywhere,  even C-Net . Where can I find it to purchase?
Also it seems I cannot install Mountain Lion over 10.6.8 as advertised. When I go to purchase I get this message: "We could not complete your purchase. OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer."   I think my computer can handle it (specs above) Are there any workarounds to this?

If you're getting a "This update requires Mac OS X version 10.7" message, than you have the updater and not the full installer. Go to your Purchases section of the Mac App Store and you should see the full version there. But it may be 10.7.5, though in my system is shows as being from 2011 which would appear to be the original version.
As to Mountain Lion, that's supported only on the Early 2008 Mac Pro or newer.
    Regards.
