Can't Get Music to Play in LR2 Slideshow

I cannot get LR2 to play songs from my playlist in iTunes on my Mac. I've read through the threads on this forum, refreshed the list on LR's slideshow section, tried repairing permissions, created new playlists in iTunes-- still no success. Does it matter that the songs are ACC files? (I'd think that that is correct for a Mac, but am I overlooking something?)
Maybe my iTunes selection isn't local enough for LR2. As an example, I have one of the selected songs under Mac HD:Users:Me:Music:iTunes:iTunes Music:Marc Shaiman:The American President:End Title.m4a. Should it be placed elsewhere to make LR "see" the selection?
Any help would be appreciated!

You mean aac? No those play fine on my machine, as well as mp3 files. AFAICT it will work for any format that iTunes can play, even protected files.

The iTunes folder should be in the default location (which yours appears to be, apart from the non-standard drive name) for Lightroom to see the playlists. But the most important thing is extremely simple. iTunes has to already be running. Lightroom as of version 2 somewhere simply sends a play command to iTunes. This allows you to play anything in your iTunes Library now, even protected files bought from the iTunes store before they went completely DRM free. Sometimes I've noticed that you need to have already played the starting song for a little in iTunes before it will work correctly.
Now, I have to say that Lightroom's slideshow module is really quite useless. I usually just export jpegs and run a slideshow in iPhoto or Aperture. Far higher quality (Lightroom's slideshow is always quite fuzzy, no matter what kind of preview you generated), better iTunes support, and far more versatile in general.

Can't get music to play in a slide

I'm working on a presentation and I want some music to play in a silde, but I can't get it to work. I'm able to choose the file and put it into the slide -- I get the speaker icon, but it won't play the file when the slide comes up. I've followed the directions in keynote (I think,) but nothing. Can someone help me out?

Select the speaker icon and then go to the Inspector>Quicktime Tab and make sure that Start movie on click is not selected. Also, check the volume contol at the bottom of the Inspector and make sure it is turned up.

I can't get music to play on iTunes.

Whenever attempting to play a song on iTunes, either by double clicking on a song or by right clicking on the song and selecting the play option, it will pop up at the top in the media player, but wil sit idle at 0:00 and never play. This happens on every song I select. What can I do to fix this issue?

Can't get music to play on iPad air

Yesterday I got an iPad air as an early Christmas present. Hooray! However, I put close to 3000 songs on it yesterday, and only around 200 of them will play. I'm assuming this is because 99% of my music was NOT purchased through iTunes. Is this the case? Also, are there apps I can download to use in lue of iTunes in case I can't solve this a different way?

Can't get music to play outloud.

Once I have taken out the headphones on my iPod touch I cannot play music through the speaker, what is wrong, I can't even change the volume . I definately have a working speaker because my alarm works.
Also is ther a quick way to access you know playing and is it possible to be able to change music before unlocking it?
Any other helps and tips would be appreciated .

Which ipod touch do you have? If you have the first gen ( no volume rocker on the side), then it is because ti does not have an external speaker ( yes it will still alarm).
You can control the ipod even when locked. The manual explains this.

Can't get music to play from my lap top.

The little quation mark on my itunes library from my lap top is preventing it from playing a lot of my music. Is their a way to delete them or turn the quation marks off.

Are you sure your volume is turned all the way up? Is the phone on mute or silent. Try inserting headphones into the headphone jack and then removing them. If this doesn't work try a soft reset (Home button + power button).

3rd gen ATV, music on a Seagate GoFlexHome drive. How can I get music to play thru ATV

Would rather not also add all the music to itunes on my MacBook Air. The ATV easily recognized the photos stored on the GoFlexHome and those are already coming up on the ATV - no place to add the directory for the goflex folder since the ATV also does not come up as a device in iTunes.
Am using all the most recent versions itunes and software is up to date on the ATV.

it's a question how your itunes settings are
in preferences ->advanced
uncheck the copy files to itunes media folder when adding to library
then when ever you add media to your itunes lib you just add a link and the media stay where it is

You may access your iTunes music iin iphoto
You may also access it in other apps - like iMovie
If - for some reason - you can access the music in iMovie but not in iPhoto, then the issue is with iPhoto.
If you can't access it in either then the issue is with iTunes.

I've tried plugging the hdmi into the TV directly and the receiver.
I get video every time. HBO to Go , Xfinity, ABC, Youtube, etc...
just no audio. Any suggestions?
I've tried starting the apps then plugging in the hdmi cable.
I never tried this before I upgraded to IOS 5.

I had not tried it with mine since upgrading to iOS 5, so I just did. I'm using a small Vizio HDTV. I did not try YouTube, but did try several videos and musical numbers. In all cases there was sound, including stereo when the source had it.
I assume you are getting sound from the iPad when the adapter is not connected, so the volume is not turned down. Dah*veed's suggestion to reset may be what you need.

just been out and bought ATV3, it will mirror my ipad2 and iphone 4s but i can not get it to play music, it just says turn on home sharing which i have done.
Tried the floowong with no sucess
reboot itunes
reboot router
reboot ATV
reboot ipad
reboot iphone
remove firewall from router
Still no joy, anyone any ideas??? This issue renders my £99 ATV3 useless
