Can't reply to emails that are recieved

Every time I try and reply to an email it doesn't send and it keeps saying that the sender address was invalid. I've gone over the email setup numerous times and everything is correct. I am using a Google Apps email account right now.

This is a Gmail account being accessed with the iPhone's Mail application?
If so, this indicates there is a problem with the outgoing mail server or SMTP server settings.
How was the account created with the iPhone's Mail application? Did you use the Gmail account preset, which creates the account as an IMAP account, or did you select "Other" when creating the account selecting IMAP or POP as the account type?
Either way, try deleting and recreating the account with the iPhone's Mail application.

  • Can't send to emails that are out of the domain.

    I know this has been discussed in depth already. I have tried all the code examples that I have been able to find in this forum that say you should be able to send messages to email addresses that are outside the domain (Company) even if exchange server doesn't have message relaying turned on.
    None of the examples I have tried have worked. Is this just not possible? If it is, please send code examples.
    Below you will find my code.
    Properties properties = new Properties() ;
    properties.put("mail.smtp.host", hostName) ;
    properties.put("mail.smtp.auth", "true");
    // this authenticator authenticates using my username and password
    javax.mail.Authenticator auth = new PopupAuthenticator() ;
    Session session = Session.getDefaultInstance(properties, auth) ;
    MimeMessage message = new MimeMessage(session) ;
    try {
    message.setFrom(new InternetAddress(fromemail, fromname)) ;
    message.setRecipient(Message.RecipientType.TO, new InternetAddress(to, toName)) ;
    message.setSubject(subject) ;
    message.setText(messageText) ;
    message.setSentDate(new Date());
    Transport.send(message);
    } catch (UnsupportedEncodingException e) { insertLog(e.toString()) ;  }

    I have the same problem if you have a solution please send me to [email protected], thanks.

  • Can I restore imap emails that are on my iphone but not on gmail?

    Boy did I goof!
    I was in gmail and I thought all of the e-mails in the All Mail folder were old/deleted emails. I checked the first hundred and they were all old. So I deleted them and that moved them to the Trash. Then I deleted the Trash. Apparently ALL of my e-mails were in the All Mail folder...makes sense, but that's not what it appeared when I looked in the All Mail folder to make sure that wasn't the case.
    I use IMAP with my gmail account. They are gone when I log into gmail. They are gone in Thunderbird. But I have not updated my mail on my iPhone...any chance I can recover them from there? My guess is no, but thought I'd ask.
    Thanks!

    I don't believe there's any way to do that, no. As soon as the mail client connects with the server for any reason, it will sync with the server, deleting them from the phone as well.

  • How can I delete flagged emails that are not visible in my account boxes?

    Currently I show 43 flagged emails but not in any of my accounts is there a flag.  I am not sure if I deleted them early in learning to use my iphone 4s or what.  Certainly I had flagged email messages in the past.  Any suggestions?  I have tired going into my various email accounts on the iphone and checking all of the deleted emails for each account.  I only found seven flagged messages.
    Much appreciation for any suggestions.
    Thanks!

    Hey OldCT!
    I have a link here for you that may help you find your flagged messages a little more easily:
    See important messages - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/7/#/iph3caefa61
    Flag a message so you can find it later. Tap while reading the message. You can change the appearance of the flagged message indicator in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Flag Style. To see the Flagged mailbox, tap Edit while viewing the Mailboxes list, then tap Flagged.
    Thanks for being a part of the Apple Support Communities!
    Cheers,

  • How can I eliminate all emails that are in Spanish?

    We have had several virus's all atached to spanish emails. We receive approx. 6 spanish emails weekly. I want it to end.
    Thanks for any help you give. Ken

    Ordinarily, with a language based filter, I'd look for a header, but since the Spanish language will use a western or unicode character set, or encoding, in common with other languages that use a Latin character set, there won't be a trivial distinction based on headers or charsets.
    I'd suggest you build a filter that looks for distinguishing characters, such as ¿,¡ or ñ and then do something with those messages. I'd mark them (with a tag or a star) or move them to a folder rather just outright delete, until I was confident that the filter is behaving predictably and correctly. You may find some recurrent distinctive words specific to the Spanish language that may also be detected by your filter.

  • How can I reply as (or from) to emails that are fo...

    OK  I have my own domain
    I have also BT internet
    Anyone sending emails to my domain get forwarded directly to btinternet.  There is no mail box for my domain, just a forwarder.
    So I would like to reply to the emails that are from my domain forwarder as if I had a mail box for them.
    In other words, where can I put the SMTP details in the new BT WEB Mail page (not Yahoo) so that I can send as my domain name please?

    You can't in Webmail, you will need to use a mail client to do that. Windows Live Mail and Thunderbird are both free to download.

    Plett81,
    I'm having the exact same problem. It does not seem to be a settings issue but rather some sort of "problem" with mac mail. My Exchange provider was able to setup my mailbox on a test machine running Mavericks and everything pulled in fine, however I cannot duplicate on my upgraded system.
    I was able to get rebuild my mailbox and get the older messages within my Exchange inbox, however none of my folders and old messages outside of the Inbox are downloading/synching.
    **NOTE** I contacted Apple SUpport and they told me to call my email provider. I called my email provider which did as described above and they don't see a problem. SO as suspected it has something to do with the Mavericks update but I'm not sure Apple is willing to help. I might try contacting them one more time and see.

  • HT204382 This was no help at all. i can not open and veiw the video emails that are sent through

    I can not veiw my video emails that are sent to me..??

    It's not quite that. It is saying it's an MOV file which, although it is read by iTunes on the Mac, cannot be played by the iPhone. It's slightly confusing as I downloaded it off the iTunes store. Do you think this can be remedied? Or refunded?

    Unfortunately, there is no easy way.  Delete just as you would any other message that you don't want.  It's probably just as well that there is no universal deletion capability.  I can see many of us committing a major "oops."

  • I need an Email I can contact for itunes questions that are for apple.

    I need an Email I can contact for itunes questions that are for apple. Please post one I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

    iTunes is a free program consequently any support is via these user forums or the on-line documentation. Apple do not provide free technical support except for purchased products. They don't provide email support for iTunes.
    If you post your questions and/or any problems giving clear details of what you are attempting to do and any error message(s) you are getting etc. I'm sure someone here will be happy to help.

  • TS3899 My ipad does not communicate with iphone on one of my email accounts and will not remove deleted emails that are done on the iphone and vice versa, what setting should be changed?

    My ipad does not communicate with my iphone on one of my email accounts and will not remove deleted emails that are done on the iphone and vice versa, what setting needs to be changed?

    It's my understanding that an iPhone can only sync with one computer. You need to choose one computer. Sounds like it syncs at work, but not at home. If you want to just sync it at home, then you have to make sure the home computer has all the info that you want on it, like music etc. Then you have to deauthorize the work computer for it to sync at home. When you connect it will ask if you want to set up as a new iPhone or restore from backup. If you don't have a backup on the home computer then either way you will be wiped clean. So any photos, contacts, notes etc you have will be erased. You would need to backup or copy your photos from your iPhone. When you connect it to your home computer, it will give you that popup message to open your iPhone files. Then you can copy those photos and save them onto your computer and sync them back in through iTunes.
    For your contacts, do you use any type of address book? If so you'll want to back that up and then transfer to your home computer. For notes, you can just email those to yourself and then save that email. I use MobileMe so the contacts issue is easily resolved.
