Can't test development newsstand app

Hi there,
Having recently acquired the enterprise functionality we'd like to upgrade our existing (multi folio with iTunes subscription) newsstand iPad/iPhone app to feature a custom storefront. We've been advised that this requires us to create a completely new build (the storefront functionality is not available in the App Builder for the current version of the app). I've created a new build with storefront, using an adaptation of the sample files here HTML implementation of the DPS default library | Adobe Developer Connection.
This seems to work locally (desktop browser), with the AdobeLibraryAPI.js include commented out; 'core' includes (jquery, underscore, backbone, fastclick, main.js) are kept locally, the rest of the files (that sample has an MVC-type structure) are served from a publicly accesible web server.
If I uncomment AdobeLibraryAPI.js, zip everything up and include it in my DPS build, it results in a development IPA file that won't install - it looks like it will sync to an iPad, however it never completes, and all I see in newsstand is a greyed out icon. If I remove the storefront from the build it will copy across fine.
Are there any obvious gotchas I might be missing, or can anyone recommend a way to debug this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, I think this is probably a problem all of my own devising - if I just use that sample zip, as provided, it works!
I will have to figure this one out myself...

You need professional or enterprise. You can only produce single issue, non-newsstand, applications with Single Edition.

How can i test the actual app on my devices?

     First off let me start by saying that i would post on the actual dev forums but it takes forever to get an answer on them. Id also like to point out that im new to the apple dev center and testing apps on my actual device as i just got my dev account today.
     Anyways, ive figured out how to run the app on my phone itself with a cable after much trial and error. The way im currently doing it is by going to the app settings in xcode then selecting build settings and then finding where it says debug and release then selecting the profiles and stuff there, i feel this is the incorrect way to do it but it worked. Ive tried to read the written tutorials on apple's dev site but i get lost and confused. So am i doing this right for a wired connection to test it on my iPhone or not?
     My second part of this is the video tutorials ive been watching on how to do it and in a lot of documents ive been reading i always pass by a part about wirelessly doing this, basically without a cable or anything. Ive done a lot of searching for it and found nothing related to it or atleast that was helpful.
     Something im also confused on and itd help is can somone explain to me in non technical meaning but descriptive ways of what all these mean:
this is whats in the dev center i mean i know what the devices is and how to add them but i dont really have a solid understanding of what provisioning profiles, the identifers or the certificates do, so itd help if you could tell me what each one means/does.
     Something else that ive been reading and seeing in video tutorials is that you can send an app in xcode or something to one of your developers apps on your dev account, this would be useful for me to send to my family and friends so that they can see the app and use it and tell me what i should do/work on with the app.
     Once again like i said im new to developing with xcode and developing in general and im still leaning so bear with me if i asked a lot of questions or im talking to much . Also itd be great if you didnt talk so technical when responding it can help me out like 100% more!

Devloper app (.ipa) created to test, but I can't transfer Single edition app to updated version

I went through the process of creating the developer and distribution app. I wanted to test the distribution app before I upload to the store. You need to use a "Built-in Single Edition App" licence from Adobe to create the developer and distribution app.
Once tested we found a minor mistake. But once I rebuilt the app to create another developer file to test I found I could not use the same SIngle Edition App serial number, or transfer it, or even delete the original file and try again.
It seems a bit harsh that the process allows you to create a test file, but if you use single edition you can't change anything at that point any way.
Is there any way around this?

Can I create content in iBook Author and push it to my Newsstand App?

Good afternoon!
I am totally new at iOS developement and I am exploring the possibilities of the Newsstand app.
I started building an app following a tutorial and up to now the basic code is working.
What I am trying to do right now is see if I can create a magazine edition in iBook Author and push it as my new issue.
So far, I got nothing but a blank issue.
Is it something possible or do I have to build my own type of asset reader?

How can I test a folio inside an app?

I already have a multifolio app in the AppStore. There is one folio in the app.
Now I'm going to create another folio.
Is it possible to test the new folio inside my app (not in ACV)?
I know if I publish the folio I will be able to see it, but readers will be able too.
Can I see the folio in the app privately? Or the only way to test folio is by using ACV?

If you publish folio as Public/free then it will appear in app library and users can download folio and read folio content. You can test folio in ACV.
If you publish folio as Public/retail then it will only appear in library once associated in-apppurchase is approved by Apple. You can test folio in developer.ipa.
Woraround: You can create test app and keep title id as your application account in whch you published your folio and test developer.ipa. If folio is working fine in test app then publish it in LIve app.

Is there or can Microsoft develop a app for smart TVs so you can stream from Windows Media Center

I have used Windows Media Center for years to record TV programs and have even sertup my kids Xbox 360 as an extender. I've recently purchased a smart TV which allows me to steam music and home videoes from Windows media player but ofcourse the .wtv
files will not play. Would it be possible to develop an app for Smart TVs and other devices so they can be used as extenders. I'm sure many people would be willing to pay for the app. I've tried some 3rd party extenders and not been
happy with there performance and I'd like to not need another box and remote. I'm sure these new TVs have the ability to do it will microsoft allow them too?

What does the description for the magazine and/or the magazine's website say ? Some allow you to download on more than one device, but some magazines/newspapers only allow you one download of each copy.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

Can I develop JMS apps using J2SE 1.4.1 SDK?

I am using a Mac using OSX that supports J2SE 1.4.1 (but not J2EE). Can I develop JMS apps on this platform?

You will need JMS combined with your j2se and a JMS implementation(like mqseries). Thats it. No need of j2ee. You can use them in Mac using OSX.
Please refer samples in sun for sample jms programs.

I need you to draw a chart of OS X, Xcode and iOS versions when it comes to app development. That's important to know in order to avoid compatibility issues. For example, OS X 10.8 and Xcode version X, support iOS X .. OS X 10.9 and Xcode version Y, support iOS Y.. and so on. Also want to know if apps developed in older Xcode can run on newer iOS and vice versa.

This has nothing to do with iOS, but it will lay the foundations for learning Objective-C, for which Stephen Kochan's "Programming in Objective-C" is always highly recommended. The 3rd edition just came out recently (June 2011):

Hockenberry's book might be all you need if you have some C and/or Objective-C experience. I can't open my alpha-app because of certificate issue

It is in alpha now and is not shown for all users.
I need to check the app in mozilla firefox, but I can't - firefox doesn't want to load the app because it is blocked (my test domen has old certificate, but I can't update it myself) and the section "I understand the risk" is not shown for me :(

In Firefox 32 you are still able to disable libPKIX support in Firefox, but it is not recommended to leave it disabled on the long run for security and vulnerability reasons.
