Hi,
Yes, you can check, you can update it to match the informaton here:

  • How can I deploy password policy to a specific group?

    Dear All,
    I would like to deploy password policy to specific OU for testing purpose.  As I know password policy only can setup in
    Default Domain Policy or new created policy and save at the root of domain.  Is there any method for me to test the password policy for specific OU?  Thanks.
    Frankie

    Hi,
    As Vivian said, Fine grained password policy cannot be applied directly to an OU.
    Instead you can create a global security group in the OU and apply the fine grained password policy.
    For example, if you need to apply a password policy for "Sales" OU, you can create a global security named "Sales Users" and assign the Fine grained password policy to this group. Then you can add the users to be tested in the "Sales"
     OU as members of this group.
    Checkout the below link on the deployment scenario of Fine grained password policy,
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/askpfeplat/archive/2013/10/07/fine-grain-password-policy-for-active-directory-2008-domain-does-not-apply.aspx
    FYI -  To activate the fine grained password policies, you need to raise your domain functional level to Windows Server 2008 or higher.

  • Can you connect multiple VMM Instances to a single Operations Manager 2012/R2 Deployment

    Hi Everyone,
    Just seeking some clarification around the Operations Manager and Virtual Machine Manager integration.  Is it possible to integrate multiple Virtual Machine Manager 2012 Deployments with a single Operations Manager 2012 Deployment or is the connection
    between VMM and OM a 1:1 relationship?
    Thanks in advance,
    Hayden

    Yes VMM and OM 1:1 is supported.
    Theoretically many VMM can integrate with single OM but its not very realistic and well tested as it puts several configuration and performance constraints on each of the VMMs.
    I’d recommend installing SCOM (inside a VM is fine)  per VMM if possible .

  • Upgrade System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 CU6 -- 2012 RTM issues (Assembly related exception in log)

    Hi guys
    I am currently performing a distributed, complex upgrade with a customer:
    4 management servers (1 being RMS), both databases (OM & DW) on a single SQL Server (2008 R2 SP2)
    We moved over the RMS role to another server and decomissioned the old one due to it being a 2003 server.
    Then we upgraded all non-RMS management servers.
    We had some issues with them as well (same error in the log), but when we reinstalled the 2007 R2 binaries & patches and redid the upgrade it came through fine.
    The RMS however keeps throwing the same error. Things I tried:
    - Full clean of the server including momclean and msizap, then reinstall the RMS and retry the upgrade
    - Reregister of the msiexec server
    I am suspecting some issues with assemblies and / or GAC, but no clear proof on that, only that it crashes after performing assembly operations.
    Below an extract from the RemoveMOMServer.log (the error occurs when uninstalling SCOM 2007 R2)
    Can anyone help out or give me some pointers on possible causes?
    Many thanks in advance!

  • Endpoint Protection Managed Workstations: Antimalware policy application failed

    Hello,
    When looking at the Endpoint statistics I have the line for systems failing to apply policy. An easy fix to this is to delete the registry.pol file. I would like to make a collection that automates this task for me. Basically if it reports back failure,
    it gets added to a collection, an advertisement runs on it to fix it and redeploy the policy.
    The only thing I need to know is the query behind the "Endpoint Protection Managed Workstations: Antimalware policy application failed" so I can make a collection for it. Does anyone happen to know it?
    Thanks

  • System center operations manager 2007 R2

    HI All,
    Can some one share the information , if we can find at what time an rule is generated, or if we can find how many rules are generated at a particular given time.
    Rgs,

    Hello,
    What do you mean by rule is generated? do you mean Generated Alerts? or Created Rules?
    For generated alerts, you can see the time on the alert details. or you can generate Alerts Report to show the common alerts or alerts in a specific timeframe.
    Also you can use some useful SQL Queries to get the required info from this blog post:

  • Can you deploy an application sequenced with App-V v5 with SCCM 2007?

    We are currently in the process of upgrading to SCCM 2012.  We are also embarking on testing App-V v5.  Can we deploy sequenced applications from App-V v5 using SCCM 2007?  What limitations will exist with SCCM 2007?  What release of
    SCCM 2007 should we be at for App-V v5 sequenced applications to be deployed and/or streamed?

    I am trying to figure out how to deploy many patches built into a Deployment Management and Deployment Packages.  For the life of me I can not find with in the program where to push the packages out to A) a group of Client, or B) a single client for
    testing.
    Thank you for your input.  I am in front of the console now pulling my hair out.
    Again thank you

    Jason,
    I have been doing that for 2 day now, reading the book, and technet.  This is why I came here in hopes someone could give me a better idea than what I can find else where.
    Maybe someone has some ideas on a certain log file on the server or a desktop to get some ideas?
    Thank you

  • System Center Operations Manager 2007

    Hi,
    Is there anyone who is monitoring their IronPort C-series with System Center Operations Manager 2007?
    If so, is there anything I should look out for implementing it?
    /Fredrik

    Hi
    If scom supports SNMP, then we can monitor Ironport devices. We can monitor Ironport via Solarwinds and Hp openview.

  • How can I deploy EFS using Group Policy and automatically encrypt computers for ALL users who login?

    How can I deploy EFS using Group Policy and Active Directory with a goal to automatically encrypt computers for ALL users who login? (NOT an option for me to use BitLocker)
    I was asked to deploy EFS to encrypt the user my documents folder and profile on all of the users laptops. The laptops are in common areas (board meeting rooms, etc) and security of files is a must.
    I successfully created a recovery certificate in AD. I created an OU and setup an EFS policy and users can now login and select to encrypt their own files. The issue is that management would like to have automaticy Encrypt ALL users my documents AUTOMATICALLY
    when a user login.
    Can this be done?
    Please help

  • How can I deploy the Operation find all

    Hello together,
    I have a big problem.
    How can I deploy the operation find all so that I can see it in the WSNavigator.
    There I can just see the CRUD operations and if I try to select the operation in the Developer Studio ,when I expose the webservice, the operation is highlighted grey. But if I test the Service I can see the operation and it works.
    ?????? But why can I test the service with the operation find all and why is it not possible to see the operation in the WSNavigator.
    Thank you

    Hi Srinivasan;
    thanks a lot. I could solve the problem with my <Cars>. I just deleted it. Now I have just a warning - message.
    The code looks know like:
    @com.sap.caf.dt.CAFOperation(name="GetAllCars")
         public gennari.mhp.types.Ret_Cars GetAllCars() {
              Ret_Cars ret_cars = new Ret_Cars();
              try {
                   Collection docList = this.getcarsService().findAll();
                   ret_cars.setTest((List) docList);
              } catch (CAFFindException fe) {
              return ret_cars;
    But if I try to run the operation as a webservice in the webservice navigator I have following error message:
    "com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.server.additions.exceptions.ProcessException "
    Is this a problem with my Java AS or is still something in my Application Service responible fort that???
    Thats the XML Content:

  • Can IPS deploy traffic rate limiting policy to switch or router?

    Hello,
    I have a quick question: can IPS deploy traffic rate limiting policy to Cisco switch or router?
    As we know, IPS sensor can throttle suspicious traffic instead of blocking them, not sure if IPS can send the throttle policy to cisco swtich or router.
    Thanks,
    -Alejin

    Please find the following on what the IPS can do in terms of rate limiting (it also includes which signature and which routers, what to configure and what not to configure, etc):
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/ips/7.0/configuration/guide/idm/idm_blocking.html#wp2005501
    The above is on IPS version 7.x.
    Hope that helps.

  • Endpoint Protection Antimalware Policy SQL 2008

    We use SCCM 2012 to manage our antimalware solution (SCEP). We created policies for different servers for example SQL server 2008 R2. We created Endpoint Protection Antimalware policy SQL 2008:
    To prevent performance issues MS reccomends to exclude some processes from virus scanning:
    %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.<Instance Name>\MSSQL\Binn\SQLServr.exe
    %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.<Instance Name>\Reporting Services\ReportServer\Bin\ReportingServicesService.exe
    %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.<Instance Name>\OLAP\Bin\MSMDSrv.exe
    As you can see we currently use MSSQLSERVER as instance name.
    Because we use many different SQL instances we need to restrict the ammount of policies to one and don't want to create seperate policies for different SQL instances. Is it possible to use some kind of wildcard, like: %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.*\MSSQL\Binn\SQLServr.exe,
    where instance name is * ?
    Is it also possible to monitor the scan status real time? I would like to see which files are being scanned when starting a quick/full scan. From within the SCEP client it isn't possible.
    Hope you could help me out.
    Sacha

    Hey
    Thanks for the post ,
    As i comprehension Your request  - I suggest You to exclude the Parent SQL folder :
    %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft SQL Server
    It will exclude the all instances under the parent folder .
    For file process You have to provide full path name .
    "to see which files are being scanned when starting a quick/full scan"
    You have to create reporting on the sccm for that :
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg712698.aspx
    I'd be glad to answer any question

    Hello,
    I reply myself :-)
    The problem was the name of an image. Some designer call it 'Sin ttulo.jpg' and can't delete it when deploys. (Look for the accent in '')
