Can we disable subtab link?

Hi All,
From dev's guide, there is a way to hide subtab using hideSubTab(). But is there a way we can keep all subtabs (then user know how many subtabs there) but limit user to go other subtabs util some conditions are valid?
Thanks & Regards,
KJ

Hi Tapash,
Thanks for the solution and it works!!
Here is my code in processRequest()
OALinkBean pubSubTabLink =
(OALinkBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("PubSubTabLink");
if(pubSubTabLink != null)
pubSubTabLink.setDisabled(true);
Another question is, how do I enable it from AM? My idea is, create couple AM instance variables as flags (I have total 4 subtabs). For each form submitted (action fired), processFormRequest will check this instance variable to decide either enable or disable the subtab link. Is this a right approach?
Thanks & Regards,
KJ

    Because we are not privy to your code I shall answer this in general.
    You can use the Spry Element Selector to target your link and to disable that link. When clicking another link you could cycle through your links and enable them before disabling the newly clicked link.
    More info on the Spry Element Selector can be found here http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/element_selector/index.html and here http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/articles/element_selector/selector_examples.html

  • Can I disable the LINK button at the top of the toolbar.

    I don't know how many times I've accidentally clicked the link button when I went to select the pointer tool and been taken away from indesign and into my browser. Frustrating and adding up to lots of loss of productivity.
    Is there a way this button can be disabled? The wide button above the select and direct select tools at the very top of the tools palette that when clicked links to: http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/ --- anyway to disable this?
    Thanks

    >I don't know how many times I've accidentally clicked the link button when I went to select the pointer tool.
    I would suggest use a more accurate curser moving device than you have now. I use a Wacom and have never accidently hit the link.

  • Design for enable/disable subtab links

    Hi All,
    I have 4 subtabs, after submit button clicked, then the second tab should be enabled and thrid, fourth should be still disabled.
    I have code to disable/enable subtab in PR (webBean only can be modified in PR) as following:
    OALinkBean pubSubTabLink =
    (OALinkBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("PubSubTabLink");
    if(pubSubTabLink != null)
    pubSubTabLink.setDisabled(brand);
    My issue is, when I capture submit button event in PFR, then I'm trying to redirect same page (setForwardURLToCurrentPage) PR to enable second subtab but all info on first tab are gone. I did retain AM when using setForwardURLToCurrentPage.
    Is there any way I can keep my first tab text info?
    If not, any suggestion to disable/enable subtabs?
    Thanks & Regards,
    KJ

    Hi All,
    It was my fault. Got it work now.
    When I redirect to PR, it also calls my page initialization method and clear all data. I added a parameter and issue resolved.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Can I disable buttons & links?

    I have a flash interface with several buttons and hypertext
    links on the stage. When a user clicks a button, a panel appears,
    hiding the other buttons.
    Q. Is there a way to automatically disable the buttons &
    text links when they are covered over by the panel? At he moment if
    a user rolls over the location of a text link, even though it is
    hidden by the covering panel, it is still active. I am hoping I
    don't have to dynamically delete the text and buttons when they are
    not in use.
    Thanks,

    you can cover it with invisible button (button with just HIT
    state in size
    of the area you try to disable)
    Flash can't interact across buttons, the very top button take
    the focus.
    Than you set that button not to turn the pointer into hand
    cursor so no one
    will be confused and no links will be active.
    Give the button instance name like "blinder" and place this
    on timeline frame
    blinder.useHandCursor = false;

    Thanks in advance.

    There is an addon that solves this problem. It restores the "original" status bar like on 3.6 and the pop-up is GONE!!
    Go to get addons, in the searchbox type without quotes "status-4-evar".

  • How Can I Disable "Live" Web Links in a PDF

    I have a pdf which is assembled from a variety of original documents, including one document that has a dozen or so "live" url links to websites.  I didn't create the document in question, and I don't have access to the original word processing file.
    I need to upload the whole document to a website that will not accept pdfs with live links.  (It's a filing in a legal action, and the website is operated by a court.)  The website support people have told me to remove or disable the links.
    This ought to be easy, but I can't figure it out.  I can't edit the source document to deactivate the links, (i) becasue I don't have it, and (ii) because it's a part of the record that shouldn't be modified without some form of formal process.
    I tried scanning the pages with the links, with the thought that I would replace the original pages with scanned pages.  But the court requires text searchable documents, and the OCR process identified the links as urls and created live links.
    If there's a basic setting that turns deactivates web links in the text, I haven't found it.
    Grateful for all suggestions.
    Tom

    Thanks for the thought, but the document in question has already been reviewed by the technical department of the court's website help desk.  They have identified the website addresses in the text as the reason why their system won't accept it and directed me to remove them.  They refer to the addresses as "hyperlinks," which led me to believe that there was a separate link object involved.
    However, from what I've learned here tonight, the problem is Acrobat's default behavior in parsing a text string that begins with "http:"
    There are a number of ways to handle the problem, all of which involve a little bit of busy work, but it's not a big deal.
    It's just it would have been easier if there were some preference I could enable before re-saving the document that did the trick.  Now that I think about it, a programmer could probably create an external routine (I assume such things exist for pdf files?) that would "mask" the http string from the parsing engine, or otherwise instruct the application not to generate a live link.  But such a routine itself would probably be rejected as as "code which may cause an external action," and there's probably no way to distinguish "good" external routines from malware.
    Cheers,
    Tom

  • How can I disable a hover link in the phone view size?

    Hola
    How can I disable a hover link in the phone view size?
    I got this site where I got a gallery page,
    the pics have a hover/link state (?) where as you click in them
    they will open a bigger pic. (Prettyphoto)
    Thanks good.
    What I want to do, is that the hover state (?)
    won't show in the phone size.
    I know that I will need a media queries, but I'm not sure
    where or how to tackle this problem.
    This is the code where I have the pics
    <div class="grid_3 project-item bar">
                                             <figure class="project-img">
                                                 <img src="../images/gallery_pics/memos_bar_s5.jpg" alt="Memo's Cocina & Tequila Bar" />
                                                    <div class="overlay"></div>
                                                    <div class="mask">
                                                       <a class="icon-image"
                                                            href="../images/gallery_pics/memos_bar_b5.jpg"
                                                            rel="prettyphoto[gallery]"
                                                            title="The Bar">
                                                            <i class="icon-search"></i>
                                                     </a></div>
                                           </figure>
                                          </div>
    Thanks for your help

    If you don't want a :hover state to show in the phone css of a fluid grid layout, you would remove it from the global settings and only include it in the tablet and desktop media queries.
    Or are you trying to do something else?

  • What can be done in our code in order to disable the Link/Hand/Popup actio?

    Hi all,
    We are implementing a process that includes an Adobe Form. This form retrieves some information from our ERP and has some images that represent some executives’ signatures and company’s logo. At runtime, this application seems right, but when you place the mouse over the images a “Hand” appears and a click is possible. If you click over it, a FileSystem PopUp appears and you can choose a new image. What can be done in our code in order to disable the “Link/Hand/Popup” action??
    Regards and Thanks in advance!

    Hi Carlos,
    You can write a script to make it readonly .
    Click on the image element .check the object properties.
    find the bind
    nd u can use the formcalc script to disable action like;
    Event :Initialize
    Script :formcalc
    runat :client
    Subform.image1.access="readOnly"

  • Can we disable link in a classic report according to row content?

    Hi, guys:
    I have a question: I have a classic report, which has a column of link to another page in the same application; the link shows icon of Google map, user can see a Google map of the address listed in the same row of this report by clicking this link. However, some addresses are empty, so we want to disable the link in the column whenever the address in the same row is empty. We tried with all of APEX settings regarding column, but not successful. Could anyone help us on this problem?
    so I have a further question is: is there anyway that we can manipulate APEX report content in PL/SQL code?

  • How can I disable the annoying orange outline while I tap a link or a input area?

    i'm a user of Firefox for android. i've found a problem since I update to 16.0.2 and above. every time i tap a link or a input text in the web page, there always shows an annoying orange rectangle outline around the focused link or input area. Moreover, this outline would keep showing while I drag the page and start browsing other parts of the same page. how can I disable the annoying feature?

    This is the default feature of the browser to indicate which element are you on, if you are actually on focus with the input or tapping on the right link.
    Since this is a default feature of the browser, it now depends on the website's developer to override this feature with custom focus styles. Normally, in a browser, you can override this with user styles/scripts but as far as I know, Firefox Android does not support such features.
    However, I found [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/929362 an article] that states that there is a [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/ plugin] that is compatible with Firefox Android that handles user styles.

  • The windows of the Windows bar are already a form of tabs, so I don't need them in Firefox. How can I disable them completely from Firefox 23?

    RE: TABS ARE WINDOWS!
    The Windows bar already functions as a tab bar. Those tabs are called "windows." So, I find Firefox tab windows superfluous. How can I disable them completely from Firefox 23? I don't need what is essentially TWO windows bars covering up the entire width of my widescreen monitor's image! I already have a Windows bar at the bottom of my screen and, if I really wanted to, I could change ITS position to the top of the screen, so that it would LOOK like the Firefox tab windows bar. Firefox TABS are, essentially, a superfluous SECOND WINDOWS BAR.
    Here are my reasons for why I'd rather use Mozilla's Firefox, than Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Google's Chrome. I love and admire Firefox for Mozilla's intent on good security, for Firefox's Personas add-on, and for Firefox's free use of the Ad-Block add-on which, as you know, has the distinct virtue of reducing screen clutter--the last of which is my motive for wanting to get rid of the SUPERFLUOUS Firefox tabs "windows" bar. I am dreadfully sick of companies forcing miscellaneous bars (mostly representing marketing campaigns trying to sell me something) into my browser (and down my throat) every time I download something. (In case you haven't guessed, I am deliberately referring to your Firefox tabs bar as a "Firefox tabs 'windows' bar," because TABS are WINDOWS!)

    Let me clarify even more. The Firefox add-on you mention does not remove "tabs" windows. It only HIDES the "tabs" bar when there is only one "tab" in that window. It DOES NOT end "tabs." It does not turn "tabs" off.
    I know this, because, even with the add-on you recommend, the "tabs" bar often re-appears when I open a link, which--for some unknown reason--Firefox defaults to opening in a second "tab" within the same window, rather than putting it in a new Windows bar window. This, of course, disregards what I want to happen.
    I want to use my Windows bar to control my windows. I do not want my Firefox browser controlling my windows--which it calls "tabs." Can you tell me how to shut off "tabs?"

  • Can I disable an Ipod from ITunes/Other Questions

    Hi all! I am new to this forum and to using IPods/ITunes, so I am still trying to learn as much as I can about them. I made the mistake of getting my very irresponsible young teenage son an IPod (Gen 3) Touch. I have asked him several times to hand the device over to me so I can review the browser’s history (I am not even sure if that is possible, but I was going to try). I am I have major concerns regarding the websites he may be visiting. I am not trying to violate his privacy, but if it was a problem showing me the device - why won’t he hand it over - so that raised some major red flags.
    So...my questions are:
    Can I disable the device from ITunes? Or can I just delete the device from my ITunes Account? Would he still be able to use it?
    I think I found a place on ITune where there was a place I could pick what parental controls that I wanted, I set those up - but I found this feature after he started hiding the device? Can this feature still work remotely without syncing?
    Is there a way to view the browsing and internet history on the device (even if he would delete it)?
    I am not sure if this would make a difference or not to answer my question, but when I had to set up the ITunes account, I did have to provide credit card information to start the account.
    I do have my daughter’s new IPod (Gen 4) Touch also linked to the same ITunes account.
    One more thought...can I just delete the ITunes account totally and start a new one for my daughter? Would this disable his device?
    Again, I am very new to using an IPod. I can get around using them (and selecting the correct features) with a little direction though.
    Thanks for your help and advice in advance it is very very appreciated!

    Can I disable the device from ITunes?
    Not without being able to connect the iPod to the computer, no.
    Or can I just delete the device from my ITunes Account? Would he still be able to use it?
    See above.
    I think I found a place on ITune where there was a place I could pick what parental controls that I wanted, I set those up - but I found this feature after he started hiding the device? Can this feature still work remotely without syncing?
    The parental controls feature in iTunes only works for iTunes, not for a portable device. There are similar restrictions on the iPod, but those can only be set on the iPod itself.
    Is there a way to view the browsing and internet history on the device (even if he would delete it)?
    No, sorry, if he clears the history, there's no way to view it.
    can I just delete the ITunes account totally and start a new one for my daughter?
    You can start a new one, but that won't affect any existing accounts. You can change the password on the iTunes Store account he's been using. That would block him from being able to purchase any new content through that account. But you can't stop him from opening up a new iTunes Store account by using a prepaid iTunes card, available from almost any grocery store.
    Would this disable his device?
    No.
    Without being able to have the iPod in your hands, the only way you can affect it would be if you had set up the Find My iPod feature before giving the iPod to your son. If you had, you could then lock the iPod or wipe the data on it. Otherwise, there's nothing you can do until he gives you his iPod, at which time you could set up the Restrictions and, if you wish, download a web browser that allows you to set site restrictions and force him to use that browser.
    Regards.

  • Ever since I updated to Firefox 4.0, I can no longer open links in a new tab by holding ctrl and clicking the link. Any help?

    Ever since I updated to Firefox 4.0, I can no longer open links in a new tab by holding ctrl and clicking the link. The only way I can open a link in a new tab is if I right click a link and select "open in a new tab" in the dropdown menu, but ctrl + click is so much easier and faster. Any clue how to fix this?

    Some other users have fingered the Ask toolbar as the cause of this problem. You can try disabling or removing it here:
