Can we put time on receive activity using correlation sets ?

I am using correlation sets for po process using ponumber.
In our process we send po message out and then wait(receive) for the response.
The receive activity will go into dehydration while waiting
for the response with the ponumber.
Is there any way to put a time on this receive activity so that we
can continue with the flow after certain time.
I was able to terminate the whole process by putting alarm
around the receive, but I want the process to just stop the
receive activity and continue with rest of the process.

Hi,
By substituting receive with pick/onMessage/onAlarm, you should be able to implement the behavior you are looking for.

From a time machine backup? No. If you mean just a regular file stored on there? Not directly. There are a couple of apps out there where you can indirectly get to a file but it's a pain. If you have need of accessing a file both from the mac and the iPad then I suggest DropBox. You get 2GB free and it's a good way to share information between machines and devices.

    Thanks.

My guess here is that Sun's JDBC-ODBC bridge doesn't handle the BLOB datatype. Most ODBC drivers don't support that datatype, so I wouldn't expect the bridge to.
Is there a reason that you can't use the Oracle driver?

  • Can I copy time capsule data and use new external HD

    Hi All-
I've been scouring the net and cant seem to find an answer. Hopefully someone here can help.
I have a Time Capsule that is nearly filled. It is giving me error messages each night it tries to backup saying that there is too much on my computer to backup.
So, I went out and bought a 4TB Western Digital external drive. I want to copy all the data from the time capsule onto the new hard drive (so I dont loose any of my older backups) and then have the time capsule use that same WD drive as my new backup.
I have seen there are ways to copy from time machine drives to new drives, but I was under the impression time machine uses a different kind of backup method than a time capsule. Is that true? Can someone point me to a place that explains how exactly I would copy the drive in the time capsule... (I understand I need to use Disk Util, but I cant get the TC drive to show up in that program)...
Also, is there a way to instruct time capsule to stop using its own internal drive and use the drive connected to its USB for the backups? I think Apple's answer is no, but I dont know if thats really the case or not...
    Thanks much-
    Daber

    David Bertman wrote:
The backup was via an ethernet cable from the mac to the TC. (I also have it set up to run via wifi. Would that affect things?) Would there be different symptoms if the backup had stalled midway through?
Just trying to rule out a bad WIFI connection, and it will be much faster via Ethernet.
I didnt repair the backups first (I'm not really sure how to do that --- is it through disk utils and repair permissions like a normal drive?) I get nervous messing around with the "Backups.backupdb" files so I generally leave them alone.
Close. It's +*repair disk+*, not permissions. See #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum), for a brief explanation and instructions.
If the backups on the TC were corrupted, that would have been copied to the external HD, potentially causing Time Machine to start a new set.
But, I did enter time machine and saw that the old backups were there (and when I did your other suggestion of going to the browse option, it now shows two identically named backups -- one from the original TV and one from the new 4tb drive. But when I enter each they are separate backups -- the original one with the older backups and the new one with the single 1 day backup.
That confirms it -- for whatever reason, Time Machine started a new set.
You asked if there were two sparce bundles... I dont see any sparce bundles. I'm ONLY seeing the "backup.backups" folders when I mount the drives... Should I be seeing sparce bundles? Could that be an issue?
The Backups.backupdb folder should be inside a sparse bundle named the same as your computer. All backups done over a network (via Ethernet or WIFI) are done that way; those done to a locally-connected drive have that folder at the top level of the drive.
If you look at the external HD via the Finder, you'll see them; if you then double-click either, it will mount, and you can see the Backups.backupdb folder inside it. And you're right; be +*very careful+* not to move, change, or delete anything there.
I'd suggest this: Turn Time Machine off, and use Airport Utility to disconnect the external from the TC (start Airport Utility, click +Manual Setup,+ then Disks in the toolbar, then +Disconnect all Users.+ Each user will then get a message).
Then connect the external directly to your Mac. Repair the old sparse bundle, per #A5 (it will take a long time, but be much faster this way). If it has errors that Disk Utility can't fix, see the pink box in #A5.
If there are no problems, or they're fixed, delete the new sparse bundle via the Finder. That may take a while. Then eject the disk, reconnect it to the Time Capsule, and do a "full reset" per #A4 in Troubleshooting. Then re-select the external as your TM volume, and start a backup. Open the external disk via the Finder; if Time Machine again creates a new sparse bundle, you're pretty much stuck with it making a separate set of backups.

  • How to use Correlation set to persist record in BPEL for multiple request

    Hi ,
I need to persist record in BPEL as it a stateful.I am using soa suite 11.1.1.5 v.The purpose is to persist multiple messages from single service/partnerLink(JMSAdapter)and aggregated to form a group message using BPEL correlation set concept
    There are 5 message in a JMS queue like 1st message ->one,2nd message->two,3rd message->three,4th message->four,5th message->empty
All are text messages.Last message/string is an empty message.
IS it possible in bpel to fetch all the 5 message(using JMS adapter) under one single instance and append all messsage until empty string is not coming?
My final output would be one single message:*onetwothreefour*

  • My drive collapsed. I have an external hard drive. How can I put all my files there, using disk utility?

So my MacBook Pro collapsed one day, and it turns on but only "Restarts" and shuts itself down on the procesa. The only thing I have access to is that 'Command + R' thing. There I tried "Verifying" and "Reparing" the Diak but the message of "Cant repair disk backup as many files as possible, reformat the disk and restore" popped up. So I have am external hard drive with more than enough space to put all of my files in there. my question is: HOW DO I DO THAT? from disk utility. Can somone please help me? Please! Step by step cause ptherwise I will mess it up and I really dont want to lose all the memories I have in my computer.

After you restart so you have access to Disk Utility, with the external drive connected, choose the external drive from the left sidebar of the DU window.  If the drive has not been formatted for the Mac, choose Partition from the buttons top center of the main window.  Give the drive a name, you can leave it as one partition if you like, make sure the format is set as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled), and the partition table is GUID.  Then Apply and acknowledge that you know this will erase the disk.
Then go to the button that says Restore.  Drag and drop the internal drive, Macintosh HD is most common, to the Source box, and drag and drop the external drive to Destination box.  Then Restore.
That will create a clone of the internal and that will be a bootable clone.

  • BPEL instance recreation for used correlation set.

    Hi,
In our project we have deployed two composites in the first one we have used a fileadapter, mediator, webservice the flow is like from Fileadapter-->mediator-->webservice(1^st^ Composite) .
In the second composite bpel interface is web service and wrting to an outbound location using a file adapter. The flow is like webservice-->BPEL-->Fileadapter(2^nd^ Composite).
To achieve message aggregation,In the BPEL we have used co-relation set on ID.When we put file in inbound location having same unique ID it will be processed within the same BPEL instance and files having different ID will have different bpel instance.
So it's working as expected after deployment only once. The message are aggregated. But when we are putting some new files in the inbound location having same ID(i:e new instance to be created)there is no files are aggregated at outbound location. In console we can see the flow from fileadapter-mediator-webservice invocation but it's invoking the bpel component..
I am using BPEL instance corelation set to aggregate multiple message segment from same caller for 5 mins.It works fine no issues.
For the same corelation ser if I repeat the same requests after 10 mins it won't instantiate BPEL also does not give any error .
To make it work we have to redeploy the 2^nd^ composite everytime.
So can anybody please help us out on this how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks In Advance!:)

    Hi,
Even I am getting the same exception. Even tough my Process doesn't contain any conflicting Receive there is a pick activity that receives the Incoming call with two different messages. And logically it should not generate a conflicting receive.
Did anyone get the root cause of this problem. If someone can update this . It will be really helpful. I am trying to create the PL for the particular branch instead of the global PL as suggested in one of he blogs. I will also update if i get any new clues.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Correlation set "Correlation_set" is not initialized. It cannot be used in a receiving activity. Fault is thrown.

    Hello,
My bpel goes something like this:
    Main processing
Receive activity (associated correlation set with initiate set to Yes)
    on Event - activity 1
Receive activity is main. If I keep activity1 correlation set - initiates as Yes. then process will work but onEvent - activity1 will create new instance and will not update existing instance.
To update the existing instance, I nned to make its instantiate value as "No".
After changing instantiate value to "No", When the BPEL process is started, with the first message (main receive activity), I get the following error message:
Correlation set "Correlation_set" is not initialized. It cannot be used in a receiving activity. Fault is thrown.
Is there something I am missing?

  • Can we put multiple Database Polling within the asynchronous process

    Hi,
Can we put multiple Database polling within the the same asynchronous BPEL process.
There will be multiple Receive activities to receive the data from the poller.
    Saptarishi

    Hi Peter,
I am using 10.1.3.4 and cannot use ESB/mediator.
    For the 2nd option,
I have tried to put multiple receive's to poll data from a table but it does not work(it waits at the 2nd Receive). Let me try to elaborate the issue a bit.
I have created a table for polling.
    The table has 3 columns :- transaction_id, status, is_read
is_read is kept to implement the logical delete strategy of DB polling.
What I need to do is to maintain a single instance of BPEL to maintain a transaction(which is uniquely identified by transaction_id).
The BPEL should track the different stages of the transaction, i.e whenever a new row is inserted in the table with the updated status for a transaction, it must find the correct instance(by co-relating the transaction_id) and go to the next step (wait for the next receive activity) until all the steps of the transaction is completed.
In the code, I created a correlation set consisting of transaction_id(only). The property transaction_id has an alias to the inbound variable's payload.
In the first Receive, I checked the "create instance" checkbox. Also the correlation set is initialized.
From next Receive onwards the correlation set is checked.
The polling frequency is 5 secs.
The first Receive works fine and the process is instantiated. But it waits at the 2nd Receive indefinitely.
It will be very helpful if you can try this once. If you feel this is not the right approach, please guide me.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Saptarishi
