You're right, it's J2EE 1.3. Well, JAX-RPC is not part of that, however there's already good WS support in SAP NW 7.0. You can find more information on the relevant pages on help.sap.com.
Hibernate is a standalone persistence framework, so it can be used for any type of Java app, particularly in your case J2EE 1.3. In theory you can run it 2 tier - which means that you have the client (the machine the user is sitting at) being the same machine in which the forms application server is running. So yes. But specifically, we don't support a client server runtime anymore. 6i was the last version.
With 10g you will be running through a browser.

We are asked to use the same server and upgrade Hardware to install and run 12C RAC. What are the implications of running RAC in the same server/nodes?

I am working with Application Server Platform Edition 8. I want to have a object on the App Server which will have only single instance. The instance will be available to all objects(ejbs) in the server.

Can you install Workflow Manager 1.0 on Central Admin App Server Machine in 3-tier SharePoint Farm?

Hi,
I have just realised when looking at doing a Workflow that 2013 Workflows not available (you need to install Workflow Manager Farm). I understand why from a tenant installation perspective, but we are on-premise.
Can someone tell me if I can install Workflow Manager 1.0 (seen you have to now install WM 1.0 Refresh version) on the Central Admin App Server Machine in a 3 tier SharePoint farm. 3 WFE, 4 APP Servers, 1 DB Server and 1 DB Analysis Services Server.
I did test on a test farm 1WFE, 1 APP Server (with CA) and 1 Database Server. We are getting issues with the WFE Server having issues booting up or losing connection - possibly faulty network card. This may in no way be related to the install,
but just in case.
Any help appreciated.

Can I run a .bat, .cmd, or .ps1 on SBS 2011 server startup, without login.... like a service.

I'm running Windows SBS 2011. I need to run a script at server startup, prior to login to any user account (like a service does...). This short script will check the status of another service. Because this
service depends on Exchange & SQL, it sometimes fails to start at reboot if Exchange and or SQL Server haven't finished initializing.
I was also thinking of using sc.exe to change the config of the service in question (adding dependencies), but this is a third-party software from Reuters, and I am somewhat reluctant to edit the configuration of someone else's code (and possibly break something).
This is a production server at a law firm.

What I do in this case (I don't have access to exact script I use) is a similar script scheduled via windows task scheduler every five minutes to check if service running, if not start it but you can have the IF-THEN-ELSE do whatever is required.

Can we run two instances of solaris in 1 hardware (SunFire Server)

Because we need to install Domino Servers in a Single Hardware.
The hardware consist of Eight Processors.
How to allocate the resource in such a way that the Domino Server should take 4 Processor and other application should take other four.

"Sunfire" is a product line that includes many different computer designs
and many different capabilities. You will need to be more specific as to what model you actually have.
The Sun Fire Midrange Systems are hardware designs that can be configured
to run discrete domains in the same overall chassis.
So, for those systems the answer to your question would be "Yes".
For any Sun Fire computer syustem that is smaller than the Midrange systems,
the answer to your question would be "No".
So ... A Sun Fire 3800 with eight processors ??? "Yes"
However, a Sunfire V880 with eight processors ??? "No"
Any other configuration questions of the actual Solaris instance,
such as Zones or processor thread affinity are outside the scope of this forum.
Those issues would be discussed better in an OS forum.

How can you run a command with elevated rights on a remote server with invoke-command ?

I am trying to run a script on a remote server with invoke-command. The script is starting and is running fine, but the problem is that it should be running with elevated rights on the remote server. On the server where I start the invoke-command, my account has the necessary rights.
The server were I launch the invoke-command is a W2K8 R2. The remote box is a W2K3 with powershell v2.0 installed.
When I launch the script on the remote-box from the command line, I don't get the access denied's.
Is there a way to do this ?

The script that I want to run is to install the windows updates. I get an access denied on the download of the updates.
When I execute the script on an W2K8 box, (not remotely) and I run it with non-elevated rights, I get the same error.
The script is running fine when it is launched on W2K3 box locally with a domain account that has local admin rights, or on a W2K8 R2 server with a domain account that has local admin rights, but with elevated rights.

Can i develop applications on JSC2update1 and deploy on other app server

I am working on JSF web application. I have developed one application in sun java studio creator and i dont want to run my applications in that one, because it is always showing error like Deployment error: server timed out after 240 secs. so is there any possiblity to download the application server individually and deploy onto that. if it is possible then please send me the alternate options with full description.
I have downloaded Tomcat and Appserver 8(sun microsystems) individually. Which one is better to use it .Please suggest me a good and better one.

Can I run ASP on Portal? Please guide :)

Hi,
No it is not possible to run ASP under the Portal container. The portal container can only run applications under the J2EE standard (including servlets and JSP which is very similar).
In the old days when EP5 ruled the world, it was possible since IIS was a mandatory component (and it was windows only).
However, if you have an IIS server as part of your SSO solution , there is not thing to stop you from placing the asp file there and linking it in to the portal.

Agree with Nicolas. You need to modify connection string to point to proper server name. This might help in getting proper name of instance.

We have J2EE application based on Toplink/ADF/Struts. Our project is maintained in JDeveloper 10.1.2. We had no serious problems deploying our app to AS 10.1.2. But we cannot deploy it on 10.1.3. server. Before any jsp page shows, this internal error is shown:

I have developped a stateles senterprise java bean name converter and deloyed it in the j2ee1.4 application server on the host machine A. The converterbean provides the remote home interface and remote interface. At the same time I have developped the j2ee application client named convertappclient. When I access the conveter bean at host computer A through the script 'appclient.bat' as 'appclient -client convertappclient.jar', the client can access the bean sucessfully. Now I want to access the bean through the script 'appclient.bat' at host computer B,what files should I copy from host computer A to host computer B;and what the command line should be like? Thanks!

Can not run the J2EE application on webless iAS

I have installed iAS on Salaris, and installed a webconnector on IIS which
hosted on different machine.
Now I can run the simple servlet sample, but I can not run the Helloworld
application that I deployed follow the guide. The error message was: socket
receive error (RecvBuffer 1)

allow you to use Apache as well as iPlanet's web server, but I not think
IIS is
supported. Perhaps you should use a supported web server.
