I created an Edge animate animation, but want to put it into another file I am working on. How can I do this?

There are certainly people a lot more knowledgeable about Edge than me - but what I did, and it worked, was publish, copy the published runtime and put it into the head - copy the other edge_ files into the root, the div with the EDGE class, and then use that class definition in css , by overriding with [style]
e.g.: in the body:
<div id="Stage" class="EDGE-55507062"></div>
and in css:
.EDGE-55507062[style] {
display:block:
whatever...
Only other tips about this are ensure you also bring in edge_includes file; chuck out any extra images, symbols etc. that you're not using before publishing, correct the path in the runtime if you need to...

I don't have a specific project in mind, but I can mock one up. Okay, so in this example I have a "logo" that has text (in outlines), a gradient, and another shape (it's not a stroke) behind everything. And on the side you can see my texture. Normally, using the "minus front" feature, you can knock the texture out of the shape. But that doesn't work for a complicated combination of shapes (even if it's grouped).
Solutions for this?
I should start a whole post about every possible way to apply textures in Illustrator. Because I know a few different ways, but they all seem to have problems....

My old XP computer recently died and I had to build a new Windows 8.1 machine. While I was down I used a laptop as a temporary replacement. Now my new machine is running fine and receiving e-mail, but I now have two databases--one on the new machine and one on the laptop. Both are based on a recent backup, so they are lengthy--except that the new machine's database has a hole in it for the period I was on the laptop and the laptop's database also has gaps. How can I combine two databases into one that includes the messages from both machines?

Thanks for your reply. My profile folder did not contain any MBOX files. I found them in another folder on another drive. The Import-Export tools simply transferred each folder to the current one as a sub-folder. Then I had to use ctrl-a to select everything in the folder and move them manually to the current folder (such as inbox). Then I could use the other utility you mentioned to remove the duplicates. This had to be done, one folder at a time, to combine each folder. It worked, but I had about thirty-five folders to deal with. The whole process took most of two days to complete. I wish there was a simple way to blend everything together in one action, but I could not find an add-on that would do this.

It depends on what you want to do.
You could, for example, have one AppleID for iCloud backup [and therefore message syncing, notes syncing, etc] and a second one for iTunes [music, iBooks, etc].
But if you are looking for a way to flip everything between different appleIDs, then no.

If you want to share this things like music and app purchases you will have to to something else.
1. Create two user accounts on your Mac (user A and user B).
2. Create two iCloud accounts just for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Photos, etc. (one for user A and one for user B):
On your Mac (with Mac OS X Lion or Mountan Lion):
Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > iCloud > Create an Apple ID (button in left corner)

It is not recommended because you shouldn't share your Apple ID account information with other people but you could set up your old Apple ID as an account just for store purchases (Apps, Music, ...) so that everyone of you can manage the purchases in their own library (Access is limited to 10 devices). The problem with making separate accounts is that this is a laptop, so likely not a huge hard drive, and if the three iTunes libraries need to have a lot of the same music (because everyone or two or three like some of the same stuff) you end up with double or triplicate copies of the music on the hard drive eating up drive space. Since they don't use his laptop normally, creating more accounts (with all the associated files and drive space usage each account would eat up) it probably isn't worth it.
Instead, the best approach is like Chris said, to make playlists for the girls in the main library and then set up the various iPod to either sync everything (if big enough) or sync only specific playlists (if not big enough).
Alternatively, they can set their iPods to manual syncing and then when Dad is visiting they can hook up their iPods and "shop" the library and drag in whatever they want to add to the iPods and delete what they no longer want.
