Can you create an object from a string

I have been working on creating a dynamic form, creating the
form items from an xml file. I am getting very close to conquering
this task. I will share it when it's complete.
However, I am stuck at the moment trying to create an object
from a string. For example, if the xml item is an HBox I want to
create an HBox. Like this: parentObject = new arrayOfFormItems[
index ]..type ()
This isn't working. First, is this possible using some syntax
I am unaware of in Flex? I don't want to use a large if or case
statement if possible.

I do still however, have to instantiate one of every item I
want to dynamically create or I get the following error when I try
to create a dynamic object that I have not instantiated before.

I read that you have no choice but to instantiate one of each
type to force the linker to link the code for that class into the
.swf. Unless you know another way to force it.
This is what I have in my Application mxml to get it to work:

And those are the types I'm using to test with. . . I will
have to add all the others I want to use as well . . .

Collecting objects for Transporting
1. rsa1->transport connection
2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects'
3. then choose your infocube and 'transfer'
4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'
5. after objects collection finished, create request
6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.
7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.
8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.
Releasing Transport Request
Lets say you are transporting from BWD to BWQ
Step 1: In BWD go to TCode SE10
Step 2: Find the request and release it (Truck Icon or option can be found by right click on request #)
Note: First release the child request and then the parent request
Steps below are to import transport (generally done by basis )
Step 1: In BWQ go to Tcode STMS
Step 2: Click on Import queue button
Step 3: Double Click on the line which says BWQ (or the system into which transport has to be imported)
Step 4: Click on refresh button
Step 5: High light the trasnport request and import it (using the truck icon)

Possible to create an object from a String?

Hi,
is is somehow at all possible to create an object from a String ?
If we have etc.
String txt = "Carrot()";
Is it then possible to somehow cast that String and interpret it as a class type that it should make an object of ?
Like
new txt; - would then give me the same as new Carrot(); ?

Can you create a button from apDiv in CS4

can I create a button action for in the code view

I know how to link text that I place within the div id to a html document but I want to be able to draw an AP DIV from the layout and have it contain an image or color, then when hovering over have the background change to a color, then be able to hit anywhere whithin the <div id="ap Div3"></div> area and have it change to another color.
I am very comfortable with flash and am having a dificult time understanding the rigid layout of dreamweaver.

I get the impression you are new to DW. With that said, I think it would be a very good idea for you to go over to http://www.w3schools.com and get familiar with html and css.
I dont believe you can have an apdiv as a link (I may be wrong, but hopefully at the end of this it will not be relevant), however you can have a "button" or other graphic as a link. Here is the code.

This will create a link on an image.
If you want the image or colors to change, you will have to go and set rules for your links. Put the following in your editor (DW Code View) and adjust as you like.

Lastly, apdivs, in particular for someone new to DW and html can be a world of pain. Trying to use them as a layout object can be very frustrating, because once you have tweaked and tweaked them, you look at your layout on a different machine, and chances are it looks nothing like what you had.

How can you create a swatch from a jpeg in Illustrator CS4?

I am trying to create a jpeg image into a swatch in Illustrator CS4. In previous versions you could simply drag the image into the swatches toolbar and it would convert it automatically. Now when I do that nothing happens. When I click on new swatch it creates a colour swatch instead of the actual image itself.

Can you give an example of what you would apply a jpeg to as a swatch? The only palette that I can think of off the top of my head that you can drag a jpeg into and have the icon appear as the jpeg is the Symbols Palette. Is is possible that you were using the Symbols Palette in the past and not the Swatch Palette?

Can you create 3D object using Repousse w/ front and back Inflation w/o seam?

Greetings. I have created a 3d object using repousse in Photoshop (CS5 extended). The original 2d image is circular. I used the Magic Wand Tool to select the 2d image, then 3D/Repousse/Current Selection to create, selecting the inflate (rounded) Repousse Shape Preset with the Depth of 0. It creates the object as expected, except the front-and-back seam has minor irregularities leaving the object with an uneven seam (see image below). The original 2d image was created in Illustrator using the eliptical tool, so it is as regular as possible. I want it to be seamless. The image below shows the rotated object and the very distinct seam.
Any ideas on how to get rid of, or avoid, that seam? Thanks much.

What you could try is downloading the report to the client pc using WEBUTIL_FILETRANSFER.URL_TO_CLIENT, then open the locally save file using something like:

How can you create a spoolfile from a program where have Error Message?

I have a situation where I need a report to come out - even if I have an Error or Abort Message.
I need the report so that i can email the users in a second step of a Job.
We want the CANELLED to show in the JOB queue but when that happens by doing a message with the error it does not output any spool file.
The code is simple:
   CONCATENATE c_errors
                c_error_645
        INTO z_msg_line SEPARATED BY space.
    WRITE z_msg_line TO z_output_line.
    WRITE: z_output_line.
    lv_errors = 'X'.
    MESSAGE ID 'ZX' TYPE 'E' NUMBER '645'.
The job stops, shows CANCELLED but not output to the spool file.
If I change message type to I for imfomation I get the spoolfile but the JOB queue shows COMPLETED so a Basis person will not catch the Cancelled job.

Does the email processing have to occur within the same job? Why not establish a polling process for cancelled jobs where you control the job name(s) to poll for and the linked users to email? When you find a canceled job you can read the job log messages (assuming you have logged your errors using 'S' messages and then used a final 'E' message to stop the job) using function BP_JOBLOG_READ. You could establish a spool from that (and attach it) or just embed the messages in the email body itself.
I'm not sure what your scenario is though - I would separate application errors from technical errors in your error notification process, i.e., handle error notification/emailing within your programs themselves and avoid abending jobs if possible. Are these Basis-handled errors or user-handled errors that you're talking about?

I'm traversing directories and storing a list of files in a File array. Then I traverse the array looking at the extension of the file. If it is .java then I would like to instantiate it as a class so that I may pass the new object to another function which will examine its methods. Perhaps your newline characters are in the middle of element names, or something else that causes your XML to be not well-formed. I'm just guessing here, though, because you didn't say what errors you were getting.

Using the solution supplied by Leonia, and cited by Keith, you can do the same thing (flopping the Curve profiles) in LightRoom. So, it makes sense. Though I didn't know know it worked for Color Negatives.
A friend of mine with a Nikon Coolscan is going to scan nearly 150 B&W rolls of 35mm negatives for me, and I want to import them all into Aperture, naming and keywording as I go. The objective is, of course, to have the convenience of a diigtal library. But also to have some made into large prints for framing.
