Cancelsubmit within tableviews

Hi all,
I want to delete an entry within a tableview by using a confirmation popup. So everytime I set htmlbevent.cancelSubmit = true the server event is fired anyway. How could I avoid this ? Here is the particular code fragment:
<htmlb:tableViewColumns>
    <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "delicon"
                           title      = "delete"
                           type       = "user"
                           onCellClick  = "delete"
                           fixedColumn  = "true"
                           horizontalAlignment = "center">
              <htmlb:image src     = "ICON_DELETE"
                    onClientClick  = "htmlbevent.cancelSubmit = !confirm('really want to do this?');" />
</htmlb:tableViewColumn>
Is there anybody who can give me an idea what went wrong with this ?
Regards,
Marco

Hallo Marco,
One of two ideas:
(1) Remove the onCellClick. This is the guy that is sending the request to the server. And add the click onto the image.
(2) Add this following string onto the onClientClick "event.cancelBubble=true;" to prevent the event from been handled by someone else. Probably you only want to do it if htmlbevent.cancelSubmit is true.
Recommended would be (1).

  • Multiple Columns within tableview column

    Hi All,
    I need to display a tableview which will have multiple columns within a column. It is much like using 'fixedColumn' attribute in tableviewcolumn for rows.
    Can a similar functionality be implemented for multiple columns?
    Thanks in advance,
    Rohit

    hi
    One method is already told you here is another method of doing this:
    let say you want your third column to be another table do it like this with out using iterator
    even you can control its display by embedding if... endif on layout
    simply write this:
    <htmlb:tableView id                  = "tbl"
                               table               = "<%= itab %>"
                               selectionMode       = "LINEEDIT"
                               columnHeaderVisible = "TRUE"
                               allRowsEditable     = "FALSE" >
    <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "PERNR" title="Personnal No"/>
    <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "REQID" title="Request id"/>
    <htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "user" type= "USER" title="another table">
                  <htmlb:tableView id                  = "tbl"
                                   table               = "<%= itab2 %>"
                                   selectionMode       = "LINEEDIT"
                                   columnHeaderVisible = "TRUE"
                                   allRowsEditable     = "FALSE" />
                </htmlb:tableViewColumn>
              </htmlb:tableView>
    where itab1 is main table and itab2 is another table displayed at column3.
    itab1 and itab2 both are filled up internal tables.
    if you want itab2(column3) to be displayed on some condition put if... endif condition prior to it.
    remember giving type attribute of a tableviewcolumn = "USER" embeds next htmlb to that column as per defined.
    Revert back for any problem or help,
    regards.

  • How can I select text in a thtmlb:tableview in a pop-up?

    Hi,
    We have a number of pop-up screens that contain thtmlb:tableview tags.  For some reason, it is not possible to select text (left-mouse click then drag cursor) in these pop-ups.  We are currently having to put any text that the user might want to select in disabled inputfields, but this looks rather ugly.
    Does anyone have a solution to this problem?  The selection of text within tableviews works fine if the view isn't displayed in a pop-up.
    Many thanks,
    Andrew

    HI Andrew,
    I have a littel problem in understanding the business use case.
    Why should the user want to copy the text from the view.He will either select a row,by using the seletion tabs at the side of the view.
    But why woudl he actually copy the text by left clicking and dragging the mouse over the text.Doesn't look like a valid use case.
    What i have implemened once is where the table in the pop up contains multiple fields,and the user wants the description (ie one field) to be populated automatically into the field after selection of that row in the table view.Thsi can be eaqsily achived by making the table view select option as true and changing the html code also to fetch the selected index.
    After this, the selected entity can be obtained from the collection wrapper,since it becomes the current entity:
    me->typed_context->(context node name)->collection wrapper->get_current()
    Now the desired field from this entity can be copied into the field of your choice in the parent view.Also once the user clicks the selection tab to select the enitty,popup_close method shoudl be called and pop up shoudl be closed immediately.
    All this processing should happen in an even handler eh_onselect().

  • Chained Dropdown in Tableview?

    Hi.  I currently have 2 dropdowns in my Tableview.  I need to make them chained.  I don't know how to trigger an event within the tableview, so that if I select an item in one dropdown, the 2nd dropdown (only for that row) is updated with new values.
    I had used a blog, and am able to create the chained behavior outside of tableview (on just a plain html page)...I just can't figure out how to trigger event within tableview.   Any help is much appreciated.
    Oh, and my application is NOT MVC.
    Thanks in advance,
    Lisa

    Hi Lisa,
    when you rendered a column as dropdown in table view it should also have an option to trigger an event when you select one entry in that. like OnSelect of dropdown 1 - trigger a event and then handle this event to refresh the droo down 2. I am not sure if you already tried this.

  • BSP Tableview error when trying to bind an itab within an itab

    Hello dear forum members,
    I got a requirement to dynamically generate tableviews and bind them to a model's attribute (an itab 'model->gt_prd_grps' which holds the actual internal table to display as tableview 'model->gt_prd_grps-prods_table' within it). Below code would give you a correct picture.
    BSP View code:
    LOOP AT model->gt_prd_grps INTO ls_prd_grps.
            lv_idx = sy-tabix.
            CONCATENATE 'ProductsList_' ls_prd_grps-prod_group INTO lv_tableid.
            CONCATENATE '//model/' 'gt_prd_grps[' lv_idx '].prods_table' INTO lv_bind_str.
            CREATE OBJECT lr_tableview.
            lr_tableview->id            = lv_tableid.
            lr_tableview->headertext    = ls_prd_grps-prod_grp_desc.
            lr_tableview->_table        = lv_bind_str.
            lr_tableview->headerVisible = 'true'.
            lr_tableview->footerVisible = 'true'.
            lr_tableview->filter        = 'SERVER'.
            lr_tableview->design        = 'alternating'.
            lr_tableview->sort            = 'SERVER'.
            lr_tableview->fillUpEmptyRows = 'false'.
            lr_tableview->selectionMode   = 'NONE'.
            lr_tableview->iterator        = lo_prdctschtb_iter.
            lr_tableview->emptyTableText  = 'No Products available.'.
            tableview_str = lr_tableview->if_bsp_bee~render_to_string( page_context ).   %>
      <%    lv_col_count_default = 1. lv_row_count_default = lv_row_count_default + 1.   %>
      <htmlb:gridLayoutCell columnIndex = "<%= lv_col_count_default %>"
                            rowIndex    = "<%= lv_row_count_default %>"
                            colSpan     = "3" >
                            <%= tableview_str %>
    </htmlb:gridLayoutCell>
    <% ENDLOOP. %>
    I am encountering dump while trying to run the above BSP view and the error says "BSP exception: No structure component with the name "PRODS_TABLE[1].PRODUCT_ID" exists"
    Actually the user would select from the tableview via a 'select' column which would be rendered as checkbox and the MVC binding would greatly reduce the effort of manually transferring the user selections to the respective model table(s).
    Please suggest if the above way is possible and if so how to overcome the exception i am facing OR do i have to manually capture the tableview selection via CL_HTMLB_MANAGER=>GET_DATA.
    Huge thanks in advance,
    Ram

    Hi Raja,
    I am getting the dump as soon as the view is called. The tableview to be displayed is indeed the nested table only and the user can select the records via the 'checkbok' column in the tableview.
    Also, when i debugged, the dump occurs exactly at the below point:
    tableview_str = lr_tableview->if_bsp_bee~render_to_string( page_context ).

    PROBLEM description:
    when row is selected, displaying of the details on the right frame works well. but when another event of the tableView is triggered eg. browsing between table pages, the wohle table is displayed in the right frame instead to turn the table-page but stay in the same frame. of course this is done, because i have set the form-target attribute.
    and here the question: how can i differentiate between the onRowSelection-Event (navigation to the right frame) and the page-browsing event (stay in same frame but change the tableView page)?
    thanks a lot!

    <i><htmlb:tableView keyColumn       = "smtp_addr"

                               selectionMode   = "SINGLESELECT"
                               onRowSelection  = "setHelp" ></i>
    since you dont have sort or filter option for your table value, you can simply use the rowindex to read the itab.
    read table itab index selectedrowindex.
    on your other question of using more than one field in the itab for key of a record.
    declare  another field in the itab and fillit with the concatenation of the key fields (say concatenate recornumber itemnumber into keyfield) and dont show it in the tableview. declare this field as the key column in tableview.
    onrowselection this key value will be available in
    tabvie->selectedrowkey which you can use to read the itab. however in your case this is not required as you dont use sort or filter.

  • Select first radiobutton within a tableview as default

    Hi All,
    I have defined a tableview with key column 'userid'. The first column of the table view contains radiobuttons. I have given the Id of radiobuttons as '$userid$'. I am <b>not</b> using iterators.
    Now my problem is that I want to default the first radiobutton as selected.
    How can I do this?
    Any pointers would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Saurabh

    Hi Saurabh,
    The ID of the radio button in this case would be in the following format:
    <b><tableView ID>_<row>_<column></b>Say it your tableView ID is "tvX" and its first row and first column being rendered then the ID of radio button would be <i>tvX_1_1</i>
    So now you can set the radio button based on that.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Ravikiran.

  • Tableview getting refreshed when changing data in the rows

    Hi Gurus,
    Iu2019m doing a BSP with MVC. The requirement is as below.
    In the main page there is a button u2018Create Orderu2019, to create a sales order, once I click this button, another screen (pop up) comes up and within that I have a Tableview display with the below fields with the data of 20 records.
    Material no
    Quantity
    Delivery Date
    Here user is allowed to choose the quantity and delivery date by selecting each row.(with MULTISELECT option in BSP)
    The issue is after I select first row and change the quantity and date, and if I click on second row, the Tableview gets refreshed to enable the second row to be editable and the changes what I did on the first row are also refreshed.
    So i want the Tableview not to be refreshed when selecting the multiple rows. So that I can keep the changes I make to the quantity and date fields Can you please suggest any method.
    Cheers,
    Srini.

    Hi Srinivas,
    You need to capture the value entered by user in Quantity and date field and update the internal table with these values for the current selected row.
    For ex.
    The tableView code is like:
                          <htmlb:tableView id                  = "material"
                                     headerText          = "<%= otr(Z_SUS/HEADER_TEXT_MATERIALS) %>"
                                     headerVisible       = "true"
                                     design              = "alternating"
                                     onRowSelection      = "MyEventRowSelection"
                                     selectionMode       = "MULTILINEEDIT"
                                     width               = "880"
                                     filter              = "SERVER"
                                     emptyTableText      = "<%= otr(Z_SUS/EMPTYTABLE_MATERIALS) %>"
                                     iterator            = "<%= iterator %>"
                                     table               = "<%= gt_materials %>" />
    In eventhandler OnInputProcessing :
    DATA: lt_fields type tihttpnvp ,
               ls_fields like line of lt_fields.
    call method request->get_form_fields
                changing
                  fields = lt_fields
    Now the internal table lt_fields contains all the editable cell values , just update the internal table of your tableview with these values.

  • How to put custom check box in a tableview column

    Hi,
    I would like to put a custom checkbox in a tableview column for each row of the table.
    Such that when the user selects the rows and among those rows if for fews rows this checkbox is active, i need to do some special processing. how can i add a custom check box to a tableview column.
    Can anyone help me in this regard?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Kumar

    Hi,
    You can use the checkbox code within your tableview column:
    <htmlb:tableView id = ".."
    >
    <htmlb:tableViewColumn id = " "
    type = "USER"
    >
    <htmlb:checkBox id = ".."
    selected = " "
    />
    </htmlb:tableViewColumn>
    </htmlb:tableView>
    I hope it helps.

  • Setting a data source for a tableView

    Greetings
    I'm trying to learn cocoa touch by following the Apple's code example called SQLiteBooks.
    there is a data source assignment within the MasterViewController code:
    - (void)loadView {
    tableView = [[[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:[[UIScreen mainScreen] applicationFrame] style:UITableViewStylePlain] autorelease];
    tableView.delegate = self;
    tableView.dataSource = self;
    self.view = tableView; }
    Can anybody explain how "tableView.dataSource = self" associates an NSArray "books", which actually has the data, with this tableView?
    Best regards,
    -Eugene

    I can give you a Cocoa-specific answer. Unfortunately, with the new iPhone SDK there are tons of new people posting questions about the iPhone. That is why I didn't respond yesterday. My answer may or may not make sense for the iPhone.
    When you setup a data source, the table view will call two methods on that data source to get data. It will call "numberOfRowsInTableView:" to get the number of data elements and "tableView:objectValueForTableColumn:row:" to get a specific value for a cell.
    Your data source should implement those methods and return data for the table view to dipslay.
    Full details are available in Apple's documentation

  • Displaying a link in a tableView

    Hi,
    I am trying to display a link in column of a tableview in a jsp page.
    the source code is:
         public void initAttachmentsModel() {
              Vector colName = new Vector(2);
              colName.addElement("File Name");
              colName.addElement("URL");
              attachmentsModel = new DefaultTableViewModel(attachmentsList, colName);
              TableColumn col = attachmentsModel.getColumn("URL");
              col.setType(TableColumnType.LINK);
              col.setEncode(false);
    But no link is displayed within the tableview.
    I also tried setUserTypeCellRenderer() and still no results.

    Hi Aviad,
    You can do this in two ways. Populate the value of all columns in Table Model.
    <u>I Way</u>: Set the column type as Link in TableView Model.
    <hbj:tableView  id="myTableView"
                    model= "myTableViewBean.model"
                    design = "ALTERNATING"
                    headerVisible = "true"
                    footerVisible = "true"
                    fillUpEmptyRows = "true"
                    selectionMode = "MULTISELECT"
                    navigationMode = "BYLINE"
                    headerText = "<h3>tableView</h3>"
                    visibleFirstRow = "1"
                    visibleRowCount = "4"
                    onNavigate="onNavigate" >
    <%
    myTableView.setColumnType(TableColumnType.LINK,column no);
    %>
      </hbj:tableView>
    <u>II Way</u> Set the column type as TableColumnType.USER and write the cell renderer.
    <%
    myTableView.setColumnType(TableColumnType.USER,column no);
    myTableView.setUserTypeCellRenderer(new TableViewCellRenderer()); %>
    In Cell Renderer "TableViewCellRenderer.java"
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.*;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.rendering.IPageContext;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.table.ICellRenderer;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.table.TableView;
    public class TableViewCellRenderer implements ICellRenderer {
        public void renderCell(int row, int column, TableView tableView, IPageContext rendererContext) {
            if (column == 1) {
             Link mylink = new Link();
             String linkText = tableView.getValueAt(row,
                               column).toString();
             mylink.addText(linkText);
         // Set the renderer
                ddlb.render(rendererContext);
    Hope this helps.

    Praveen

  • HTMLB TableView Tab Stops

    We have some HTMLB TableViews in our JSPDynPage developed portal application.  After we upgraded to NetWeaver 7.0(2004S) the table views now require the users to tab across each cell within the tableview.  The accessibility flag is turned off within the users profiles so that is not what is causing it.  Is there a way to disable this functionality.  I would hope so otherwise I would have to say that SAP did a bit of a dis-service to some of it's customers.
    Thanks.
    Curtis

    Hi Curtis,
    We are also facing the same problem. Customer is complaining for this. Could you please tell us what needs to be done to go to the next editable cell.
    Thanks in Advance....
