Cannot access firfefox on Yahoo(suddenly became my default page)

when I downloaded firefox 6.0 my default page suddenly became Yahoo. The is no way to find the firegfox page so I can make it my default page.

After last post the problem eventually went away and I was able to once again use wifi at home. Now we have added an iTV to the mix and it had the same problem; it could see and identify the airport extreme and connect to it but couldn't get out to the internet. Called tech support and we rebooted both the cable modem and APX and the iTV is now getting out and the iPhone has stopped accessing the APX. The symptoms are the usual, it will identify and join the network but the wifi symbol may or may not appear at the top of the screen. In either case it is not truly hooked up to wifi as any net access is via Edge and the wifi symbol will disappear, if it is showing at all, as soon as you try to link to anything online.
I have tried all the usual methods of getting connected, forgetting the network, turning Airplane mode off and on, same with 3G, etc, rebooting, restored the phone, etc., nothing works. Now, I could reboot the cable modem and APX again but then the iTV would probably quit accessing the net so I am loath to do so. My iphone will connect to wifi everywhere else I try, just not at home. We currently have two macbooks, one windows machine and the iTV which will connect to the internet through the APX, only the iphone is refusing to work. I can't understand why this technology is so poorly implemented as this problem seems endemic to all iphones.

I have been using the kindle app to load books on my ipad. For the past two days I cannot access those books. I might get one page to show then the screen will freeze and I can't turn the page. Does anybody know what is going on. Help!

Contact your carrier & have them reset your Voicemail. Most carriers require such, so after they reset it, just set it up again.

2 of my 4 e-mail accounts, that I access via Mac Mail suddenly became 'grayed out' between the morning, when I was checking e-mail on my laptop at home, and the mid-afternoon,when I tried to check mail again while the laptop was on
the campus network.
Running snow leopard 10.6.1, Mail Version 4.1 (1076); have had File
Vault ON the past 10 days due to travel but normally it has been off.
Affected accounts were a personal commercial mail service (POP) and my main work account (Exchange IMAP) but my g-mail (POP) and alternate work account (IMAP but not exchange)were not affected. Connection Doctor says connection and login to
server on both accounts succeeded.
Both grayed-out accounts appear fully functional by alternate access
(web mail versions (both), iPhone (both), & Microsoft Outlook on
Windows for the Exchange IMAP account). Both accounts are enabled. I
have not, to the best of my knowledge, changed the account settings for
either account in Mail preferences or on the servers via alternate
access.
The same problem persists now on my home network again (cable modem/airport wireless, all working smoothly for non-mail related activities).

I had un-enabled and re-enabled, but not checked 'take online/take offline'. One of them did offer 'take online', so that may have been its problem.
For the other one, after un-enabling the other 3 accounts, it spontaneously started downloading the waiting mail, so was back online.
I thought it might be something ridiculously simple like this that I'd accidentally messed with....not that I was even aware of this option until now. Still don't know how I managed to take them offline, without meaning to, but now that I know about this, can check here first if it happens again. thanks!

It sounds like you may have run out of free disk space & OSX corrupted something.
Tough without the Install disc, but some things to try...
Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...
/sbin/fsck -fy
Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.
(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

SPA122 cannot access web configuration utility

The new SPA122 device connected to router through DHCP.
I can see IP-address on router's web page, can ping it, and receive it with ****110# IVR command.
But I cannot access web configuration utility in the browser: the page is unavailible. I tried to allow WAN access with ****7932#1#1 IVR action - the problrem still on.
Can You give me any advice what to do.

You can also connect to the lan/ethernet side of the device, do an ipconfig /renew
You should get an address on the 192.168.15 network, the default for the router in the ATA is 192.168.15.1
Then you can set up the non default password, enable the wan web server (administration tab I think).

Suddenly Cannot Access Yahoo Mail on iPhone

Error message when I tried to access email: something about I need to enter my password. I went to settings > mail> accounts and entered what I KNOW is my Yahoo mail's password...
Error message: The username or password for "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect.
And yet the password and my username were correct.
I deleted my Yahoo mail account from the iPhone, tried to re-add the Yahoo mail account and I get the same error message: The username or password for "apple.imap.mail/yahoo.com" is incorrect.
WTH?

I have been working on a book and have 418 photos already in my book. All of a sudden I cannot access the book format to see the multiple view, spread view, or single view. I can no longer see my book although I still see the collection with 418 photos

All of a sudden I cannot access the book module and clicking on the multiple view, spread view, or single view does not take me back to the book I have been working on. I can no longer see my book although I still see the collection with 418 photos under collections. What I do see is a blank template for a new book and I can't find the unfinished book I started with 418 photos. It is like the new empty template is somehow covering it up. How do I get back to the book I have been working on?

Is it possible you mistakenly clicked on a [Clear Layout] button?
But a great hint is- Always click on the [Create a Saved Book] button, early in your new book design.
Then you have a permanent link to the book in the Collections panel. (In addition to the standard collection of your selected images)
Note: a Book Collection shows an icon that looks like a book.
Every time you come back to edit the book, open the Book Module by clicking on the white arrow that appears on the end of your Book Collection title. (The title as saved)
Re-opening a book without using the "Saved Book" option can have unpredictable results.
A "Book" Collection is like a "Smart Collection" because anything you do to the book design, change pages, change images, etc, is automatically updated in the Saved Book collection.

Suddenly I cannot access one website

All of a sudden I cannot access one website at www.countrywalkers.com from any of the three Macs on my network. Two of them are wireless and one is ethernet-cabled
I work for them so it would be helpful if I could do so. I e-mailed them and they have confirmed that other Mac users can access their website without any problem and that they have certainly not blocked me from accessing their website.
The connection to this website fails using Safari, Firefox and Netscape and Firefox and IE via VPC on my g5 iMac, Safari and Firefox on a G4 Powerbook and a G4 Tower.
I connect to the internet via a 3Com router which works perfectly except for this glitch.
I have changed nothing in my set-up and have been able to access this website uninterruptedly for about 10 years, until about two weeks ago.
I have used ping, lookup and traceroute in Network Utility to try and work out what is wrong. In the ping test, all the packets go missing. The lookup gives information which means nothing to me. The traceroute test shows asterisks at stages 2, 5 and 13 onwards, meaning I suppose that this is where the connection to the remote URL is faiiling.
What does this all mean and what can I do about it?
There seem to be a lot of posts on this issue, almost all of them unresolved, and hope that I have posted in the right place.
I do not have anything like PeerGuardian.

Your iPad does not have a virus unless it is jailbroken. Close all apps nd reset your iPad. Clear Safari as well.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.
Closing apps in iOS 7 works like this. Drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Cannot access address book contacts in yahoo mail. Firefox 4. Contacts list will not load. With Windows Explorer, no problem.

Recently, yahoo mail upgraded their program. When I try to access my contacts (address book) the contacts list won't load. The little spinning icon just keeps spinning. I have no access to my Yahoo contacts. I cannot search or browse them. The only way I can get ONE is by adding the contact from an email. Then, if I ask to see more contacts either through the partial alphabet buttons or to see the entire list of contacts, I'm back to the same search page where NOTHING happens. Is there any chance your AOL account has been hacked? Check it to make sure your password is still what you think it is.
Also make sure caps lock isn't on when typing your password.
