Cannot Create RDF View in R2RML Conversion Example

Hi All,
In a project I want to do a R2RML conversion. I folowed below steps according to 12c Release 1 tutorial.
1. Create a stage table with below command.
CREATE TABLE stage_table_name(
                     RDF$STC_sub varchar2(4000) not null,
                     RDF$STC_pred varchar2(4000) not null,
                     RDF$STC_obj varchar2(4000) not null,
                     RDF$STC_graph varchar2(4000)
2. Grant select and insert this stage table for user MDSYS
GRANT SELECT, INSERT ON STAGETAB TO MDSYS;
3. Load r2rml mapping to this stage table with running below java code.
Oracle oracle = new Oracle (connectionUrl, user, password);
GraphOracleSem graph = new GraphOracleSem(oracle, modelName);
FileInputStream is = new FileInputStream(mappingFile);
graph.getBulkUpdateHandler().prepareBulk(is,//inputstream
      "http://example.com", // base URI
      "TTL", // data file type: can be RDF/XML, N-TRIPLE, etc.
      "rdf_users", // tablespace
      null, // flags
      null, // listener
      stageTableName// staging table name.
graph.close();
oracle.dispose();
4. Create RDF View with this stage table to execute below command.
BEGIN
sem_apis.create_rdfview_model(
model_name => 'rdf_view_name',
tables => NULL,
r2rml_table_owner => 'user',
r2rml_table_name => 'stage_table_name'
END;
I performed first 3 steps successfully. Stage table has been created and r2rml mapping has been loaded to this stage table. But in the last step there is an error like this;
[Error] Execution (1: 3): ORA-00904: "CHILDCOL$RDFTERM": invalid identifier
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_RDF_INTERNAL",  line 14308
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_RDF",  line 3616
ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.RDF_APIS",  line 1253
ORA-06512: at  line 2
How can I solve this problem?
Thanks

Hi Pinar,
I created the same staging table, loaded up exactly the same mapping file, run the create_rdfview_model, and
could not reproduce the problem.
Note that I created the "staging_table_name"  under schema SCOTT. And these are the commands I used.
public class Test2616990
  public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception
    String szJdbcURL = args[0];
    String szUser    = args[1];
    String szPasswd  = args[2];
    String szModelName = args[3];
    Oracle oracle = new Oracle(szJdbcURL, szUser, szPasswd);
    ModelOracleSem model = ModelOracleSem.createOracleSemModel(oracle, szModelName);
    GraphOracleSem graph = model.getGraph();
    FileInputStream is = new FileInputStream("map.rdf");
    graph.getBulkUpdateHandler().prepareBulk(is,//inputstream
      "http://example.com", // base URI
      "N3", // data file type: can be RDF/XML, N-TRIPLE, etc.
      "SYSAUX", // tablespace
      null, // flags
      null, // listener
      "stage_table_name" // staging table name.
    model.close();
    oracle.dispose();
alwu:lib/% cat run.sh
java -classpath ./classes:jena-arq-2.9.2.jar:jena-core-2.7.2.jar:jena-iri-0.9.2.jar:log4j-1.2.16.jar:ojdbc6.jar:sdordfclient.jar:sdordf.jar:slf4j-api-1.6.4.jar:slf4j-simple-1.6.4.jar:xercesImpl-2.10.0.jar:xml-apis-1.4.01.jar Test2616990 jdbc:oracle:thin:@<host>:1521:rel12101  scott  <password>  zhe1
BEGIN
    sem_apis.create_rdfview_model(
    model_name => 'rdf_view_name',
    tables => NULL,
    r2rml_table_owner => 'SCOTT',
    r2rml_table_name => 'STAGE_TABLE_NAME'
    END;
SQL>   2    3    4    5    6    7    8    9
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
Hope it helps,

    Kenny_I

    Hi Kenny_I,
    Based on the error message, the issue may be caused by the incorrect configuration of Claims to Windows Token Service (C2WTS). The C2WTS is required because the communication between the web front-end (WFE) and the Reporting Services shared service will
    always be Claims authentication.
    The domain account used by the Claims to Windows Token Service needs to be granted the following rights through the Local Security Policy:
    Act as part of the operating system
    Impersonate a client after authentication
    Log on as a service
    We can find these settings under Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment. And we should add the service account to the local Administrators Groups ahead.

  • Cannot create Materialized View using PL/SQL procedure

    Hello,
    I have a question related to Materialized View creation.
    I have a stored procedure that creates materialized view. When trying to run this procedure I get insufficient privileges error: ORA-01031.
    When I run content of this procedure as anonymous PL/SQL block them materialized view is created without any complications.
    Can you please advice me on that topic?
    Is it even possible to create materialized view in stored procedure as I haven't found an info on it.
    Thanks
    Petr

    Hi chudapet,
    Whenever you do operation in procedure you need to have direct grants and not via a role.
    Most probably the grant to create materialized view is available via a role to your user.
    Assign direct grant to the user:
    grant create materialized view to scott;
    {code}

  • MS Excel as data source - Cannot create chart views

    Hi,
    I created a model with sql server and excel as the data sources. Most of the numerical data is coming from excel.
    In Answers, I created a table view and it showed me all the data (Eg months, budget amount, plan amount, actuals amount ). But when I tried to create a chart view, it is giving me an error like it requires atleast one measure to create or draw a chart. I am taking Month on x -axis ad all the other columns like budget, plan , actual on y axis.
    Not sure y its behaving like this
    Did anyone encoured similar issue?
    Please help...
    Thanks

    Events can be used in CE to trigger one report after another.
    In CMC, define a new event, Schedule type, based on success.  Then schedule your first report, setting Events to Trigger Upon Completion to include this new event.  Sechedule your second report to run at the same time, except select the new event in the Events to Wait For section.  The second report will wait until the first report completes successfully before starting to execute.
    Another possible way is to use Object Packages.  However, if such a package is run on a report server that allows multiple reports to run simultaneously, I think the multiple reports in the package will run at the same time.  (This would have to be verified, as I am not positive.)  But if the report server that the object package is scheduled to run under was single threaded, they would probably execute in order.

    Carl

  • Help to create Materialized View that has timestamp conversion

    I need help creating materialized view with timestamp conversion between GMT to LocalTime.
    Feel free to make any comments.
    Thanks in advance.
    jon joaquino;)

    Here is one way.
    1. Alter the table hist_table and add a new column pdt_timestamp.
    2. Update the new column using the function 'new_time'
    For example,
    Update hist_table
    set pdt_timestamp = new_time(gmt_timestamp,'GMT','PDT');
    3. create a materialized view log on the table 'hist_table' using the syntax
    create materialized view log on hist_table
    with primary key, rowid, sequence;
    4. create a materialized view now using the syntax:
    (You have to specify your own storage numbers and tablespace name)
    create materialized view mview_hist_table
    pctfree 0 tablespace mymview
    storage (initial 16k next 16k pctincrease 0)
    build immediate
    refresh fast on commit
    as select uid,gmt_timestamp,pdt_timestamp
    from hist_table;
    Please test on your test instance before doing it on production. I have tested this on Oracle 10g for Windows 2000. I assumed that column 'uid' is the primary key on the table. I hope this helps.

  • Create a view with parameter

    it's posible create a view with parameters?
    i want to create a view and pass it parameters, in the same way when i create a procedure or function.
    i never have seen it, but i would like to know if that's posible
    thanks

    You cannot create a view with parameters. The only way is to use a stored proc to dynamically create the sql statement. The substitution variable approach does not work. SQL*Plus will prompt for the value of the variable at compile time (i.e. when you create the view) and use the value you provide in the view's query.
    SQL> create or replace view jws_test_v as
      2  select * from jws_test where flag = '&flg'
      3  /
    Enter value for flg: AA
    old   2: select * from jws_test where flag = '&flg'
    new   2: select * from jws_test where flag = 'AA'
    View created.
    SQL> select * from jws_test_v
      2  /
    no rows selected
    SQL> select text from user_views where view_name = 'JWS_TEST_V'
      2  /
    TEXT
    select "LEV1","LEV2","LEV3","LEV4","LEV5","LEV6","FC","FLAG","ONAFT","ONAPT","CU
    PEFT","CUPEPT" from jws_test where flag = 'AA'This makes sense, since substitution vartiables are a sqlplus construct, not a sql or Oracle construct. A view constructed in this way would not be callable from anywhere other than sqlplus.

  • Create query views on WAD

    Hi all!,
    In BI netweaver 7, is recommended to allow final users have access to create Query Views from WAD/Productive environment?,  this is because when production is closed, final users cannot save Query Views because transport error is generated.
    We saw on help.sap.com: “Note that you cannot create query views on the Web if the standard transport system is active because this requires the transport request dialog box”.
    Any suggestions are welcome, hope you could help us.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    you have to change the 'Object Changeability' setting for Query View in your productiv system. Then there will be no Transport System connection and you'll get no error message.
    Go to the Administrator Workbench (Data Warehousing Workbench, transaction RSA1) -> 'Goto' -> 'Transport Connection' and choose 'Object Changeability'. To display the function, you may have to enlarge the window or press the arrow keys nearby.
    In the following dialog box you can select the object types that you want to be changeable, even though the system is set to not changeable.
    This task should be done by your System Administrator because additional steps could be necessary.
    Take a look at SAP Note 337950 which describes general steps.

    Andreas

  • Can create view, but cannot create table / materialized view: Xpath is null

    Hi all,
    We recently moved some XML documents into the database in an XMLType column and want to query the data. I've been writing some queries and turning them into materialized views. I got to one query, and something really strange is happening. My query returns the expected results, but I am getting an error when I try to create a materialized view out of it. Even stranger, I can create a view out of it, and I can manually insert its data into an existing table, but I cannot create a materialized view out of it and I cannot create a table out of it. Here is a brief summary, please let me know if anyone has suggestions.
    Issuing the following commands fails in SQLDeveloper
    -- Creating a materialized view out of the query fails:
    create materialized view element REFRESH COMPLETE ON DEMAND as [query];
    Error at Command Line:1 Column:1 SQL Error: ORA-31063: XPath compilation failed: Xpath is null.
    -- Creating a table out of the query with the following shortcut fails:
    create table element as [query];
    Error at Command Line:1 Column:1 SQL Error: ORA-31063: XPath compilation failed: Xpath is null.
    Issuing the following commands in SQLDeveloper works fine:
    -- Creating a view out of the query works:
    create or replace view element as [query];
    -- Creating a blank table from the query and then inserting data works:
    create table element as select * from [query] where 1 = 2;
    insert into element select * from [query];
    Here is a simplified version of the query...
    I have changed the names around, and cut the query down so maybe it will be a little easier to understand. I did confirm that this query is also having the same symptoms described above. Since I changed the names, executing the query returns no results. However creating a materialized view out of the query still fails with the 'Xpath is null' error.
    create materialized view element REFRESH COMPLETE ON DEMAND as
    select
    m.resource_id,
    xml.*
    from metadata_sources m,
    xmltable(
    'for $i in /metadata/app//*[(self::elem1 or self::elem2) and (parent::form or parent::subform)]
    let $formName := if($i/parent::subform) then $i/../../@name else $i/../@name
    let $subformName := if($i/parent::subform) then $i/../@name else ""
    return <data
    appId="{$i/ancestor::app[1]/idField}"
    formName="{$formName}"
    subformName="{$subformName}"
    elemName="{$i/@name}"></data>' passing m.xml_content
    columns
    app_id NUMBER path '@appId',
    form_name VARCHAR2(50 char) path '@formName',
    subform_name VARCHAR2(50 char) path '@subformName',
    elem_name VARCHAR2(50 char) path '@elemName'
    ) xml;

    As far as creating a structured index, I was under the impression that I would need to then register an XSD. No, you can use it without an XML schema.
    How about a regular relational view, with an underlying xml index?
    That way you also eliminate the need for an explicit refresh step as you would then be querying real-time data, as if it were relational data.
    For example :
    Connected to:
    Oracle Database 11g Express Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - Production
    SQL> create table tmp_xml of xmltype ;
    Table created.
    SQL> insert into tmp_xml values (

    SQL> insert into tmp_xml values (
      2    xmlparse(document '<root><item id="3">GHI</item><item id="4">JKL</item></root>')
      3  ) ;
    1 row created.
    SQL> create or replace view tmp_xml_v as
      2  select x.item_id, x.item_val
      3  from tmp_xml

  • Cannot create mysites from powershell: Original XSLT List View Web Part not found

    I have a bizarre problem in my SharePoint 2013 farm. This does not occur in my test farm, only in the farm we were going to go live with.
    I'm on windows Server 2012, SQLServer 2012 SP1, SharePoint 2013 April CU. 1 appserver/centraladmin server, 2 web servers.
    When I log into our mysitehost and click newsfeed, it will create a mysite (even though first it displays "we are sorry there was a problem creating your site")
    But from powershell, whether I use $UserProfile.CreatePersonalSite() or New-SPSite, I get the following error:
    Original XSLT List View Web Part not found
    So far I've only found one other person with this:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/2503e42c-e114-4e89-8e00-89fe70f0b154/cannot-create-sharepoint-mysite-programmatically
    This is a brand new farm, created with the same scripts I created my test farm with, and same version of SharePoint. Only the service accounts are different. (Farm account has admin on the servers right now since I was setting up profile service).
    Some other errors from the same correlation ID that look related:
    It can't seem to find the listemplate 101
    And something looks wrong with the MySiteDocumentLibrary feature
    I have tried the following:
    1. run psconfig.exe on each server
    2. install-spfeature -AllExistingFeatures
    3. looped through the directory under Features and for each called Install-SPFeature $dirname -Force
    4. uninstalled and reinstalled MySiteDocumentLibrary feature
    5. blew away the whole farm (removed all servers from farm, deleted all databases) and recreated it.
    6. tried creating the UPA from the CentralAdmin gui.
    The only real difference I can think of between the working farm and non working farm is, I installed the working farm using RTM, then as they came out added the March PU and April CU. For this farm I installed RTM and March and April, and then ran my build
    farm script.
    I am at a loss. What do I need to do, re-install the binaries? That's all I can think of. What I love is that our test / POC system worked fine, and now 2 weeks before go-live I'm seeing errors on the production servers I've never seen before. Using the
    same scripts no less.

    I've had other problems in this farm: the bug where when you add Administrators to a Search Service via the Manage Service Applications page, it removes the SPSearchDBAdmin role from the search service process account. That one did not happen in the other farm.
    At least other people have that one and I could just use the farm admin instead (still troublng of course).

    Ok,
    Here is the problem:
    When creating a mysite from powershell or script, apparently you can ONLY do this from a wfe (or a server running Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application in services on server).
    You CANNOT create mysites from script on your appserver if it is not also a Web Application Server. I confirmed the same is true in my test farm. I guess I was always running most of these scripts on the webserver.
    I searched all over and cannot find this documented anywhere.
    Who do I contact to have Microsoft document this?
    It's Thursday morning, I've been working non stop since Saturday morning so you don't have to :)

    Kenny_I

    Hi Kenny_I,
    As per my understanding, I think this issue may be caused by your colleague has no permission to access to data source 'EntityDataSource', it is a Kerberos issue. When report server uses ‘Windows authentication (integrated) or SharePoint user’ as the credentials
    to access the data source 'EntityDataSource', the authentication would be failed.  So we should try to check if the issue is in this scenario. If in this case, we should change the credentials to stored credentials.
    Besides, if we don’t configure C2WTS Service Account to use Local System, it needs the following local policy rights:
    Act as part of the operating system.
    Impersonate a client after authentication.
    Log on as a service.
    For more details, please refer to the following blog:
    http://www.codeovereasy.com/2014/01/powerview-report-fails-no-credentials-are-available-in-the-security-package/
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ajaz,
    Error description is not detailed enough to provide the solution. You need to post the error message what you got in the server log files. This should contain specific details about the issue.
    Not sure but issue may be related to JVM settings. if it is so, server log file will provide the error description.

The problem is I cannot create an MV log that accounts for the xmltype column. I tried excluding it and got the above error. Is there another way I can incrementally update a materialized view where I don't have to do a COMPLETE refresh or use FAST refresh?

          ) AS XML_DATA
    FROM authority p -- Parent table
    WHERE p.auth_type = 'Person';The views are created fine and they work perfectly for what we need. The problem is the refresh when we edit the base tables. Ideally, it should take a couple seconds. Right now, it takes a couple minutes. XMLTYPE is one problem and the Complex Query exception is the other. If there is a work-around for fast refresh, please let me know. Greatly appreciated.

Besides XMLTYPE column, your MV definition has a subquery which prevents it from being fast refreshable.
    I could not find any specific reference in documentation about restriction on XMLTYPE (or CLOB) columns but it seems logical that oracle will not be able to keep track of changes to binary data. What does DBMS_MVIEW.EXPLAIN_MVIEW generate for your MV definition? That should tell you which all conditions (for FAST REFRESH) your MV violates. Since you can not create a MV LOG to include XMLTYPE column, it will not be possible to create a FAST REFRESHABLE MV that includes the XMLTYPE column.
    I am afraid there is not much you can do here unless you are prepared to change the way data is stored in your base tables. If you can store data in base tables using standard data types instead of binary/XML storage, you might be able to create a FAST REFRESHABLE MV.

  • ORA-12015:  cannot create a fast refresh materialized view from a complex q

    Hi,
    I'm facing very strange problem. Please help me why this error is coming
    I'm creating a simple materialized view, but it is giving below error since this is simple select * from.
    CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW EFMS.MS_TASK
    BUILD IMMEDIATE
    REFRESH FAST
    START WITH SYSDATE
    NEXT (SYSDATE + 1/24)
    WITH ROWID

    SELECT * FROM MS_TASK@efms_link;
    SELECT * FROM MS_TASK@efms_link
    ERROR at line 8:

    NOCACHE

    PARALLEL ( DEGREE 2 INSTANCES 1 )
    WITH ROWID, PRIMARY KEY
    EXCLUDING NEW VALUES;

    Not is a best practice to use 'select *'

    ORA-12015: cannot create a fast refresh materialized view from a complex query
    Cause:      Neither ROWIDs and nor primary key constraints are supported for complex queries.
    Action:      Reissue the command with the REFRESH FORCE or REFRESH COMPLETE option or create a simple materialized view.
    Then you have to change REFRESH FAST or create a primary key in MS_TASK@efms_link to avility fast refresh.
    . :-) any help with my english is wellcome :-) .
