Cannot find menu item:Invalid Id

Hi there,
I am trying to access the menu attached to my form by setting the enabled properties of menu items based on privileges.
I use the following set_menu_item_property:
SET_MENU_ITEM_PROPERTY('menu.item_name', ENABLED, PROPERTY_FALSE);
But I get an error message saying:
"Cannot find menu item:Invalid Id"
Can somebody help me please with this.

the error says you have not put the menu item name properly...what is the structure of the menu...? one thing you can do is in object navigator locate the menu item name and identify its parent. and use it in the command like for eg.
set_menu_item_property('adminmenu.users',enabled,property_false);KK

FRM : 41067 Cannot find menu item id ( forms 10g Menus/Forms Conversion )

Hi All ,
We have menus converted into forms 10g using the forms migration assistant FMA ( frmplsqlconv ) . Now , we had the menus (.mmb) which had used Shared Menus.
After conversion observed that there were some duplicate copies of the shared menus created automatically and each reference where this shared menu was used was replaced by the newly created ones.
Now , when I open the form that uses the menu I get the following error :
FRM : 41067 Cannot find menu item id
On debuggin observed the the above error was generated at :
set_menu_item_property(SHARED_MENU.ITEM,.... )
Not sure how this worked in forms earlier version and not working in 10g now.
Could anyone please let me know how to go about to fix this issue and why is this happening at the first point.
Is re-creating the menu from scratch the only option to resolve the issue ?

Error Message: FRM-41067: Cannot find Menu Item: invalid ID.
Error Cause:An invalid ID was passed to a built-in subprogram.
Action:Verify that a proper call to FIND_MENU_ITEM will be performed. Level: 20 Type: Errori think c1 returns null pls check ur Query in the cursor ; run & test if it returns data or not & check the name of the menu that should actually match with the name stored in the db.
If the error still existing then u can get reide of it with a simple line check using FIND_MENU_ITEM as follow...

Frm 41052: cannot find window. Invalid window id

Hi,
I have a form which is opening only to half its size where i have given width=650 and height=500 in formsweb.cfg. Also i get error
frm 41052: cannot find window0. Invalid window id
but i have asscoiated the canvas with window0 in the property palette.
What do i do? Pls help

This is probably a silly question, but does window0 exist in the form?

Find_Menu_Item FRM-41067: Cannot fine Menu Item: invalidID.

I use Find_Menu_Item in menu validation. Sometimes Find_Menu_Item fails and I get
FRM-41067: Cannot fine Menu Item: invalidID.
Is there a way to trap this error, so I can handle it with my own code?

But i don't think that this line of code is producing the error. I would guess its the code following after that statement.
To check if FIND_MENU_ITEM found the item, you can do:

IMHO, we have way too little experience with this thing to declare any component more important than all others, they seem to be tightly integrated. I believe the log file is only there to hold a unique ID code which may be an encrypted version of the UUID, machine and architecture codes. That makes it least important in my view.

I accidently knocked some keys on the keyboard and firfox is now lost at the top of the screen, I cannot see menu items if I push the curser up some of the top appears on my screen but not all please can you help me?

I accidently knocked some keys on my keyboard. I do not know which keys my hand knocked but it caused Firefox to go beyond my visible screen at the top. The base of Firefox is still okay and views correctly. But the head is missing I cannot access my menus items such as Bookmarks etc. The screen does drop down if I push my curser up but not enough to show the menu items. Can you please help?

I just unpacked my HP PC and cannot find any menu where I could change brightness, contrast within the PC or shortcut and designated buttons to do so without using power options and settings.

Click once on the desktop then hit the F1 key for help. Type in monitor brightness.

Control panel then go to color calibre and adjust the brightness

Finder menu items

My Finder menu bar has three items I can't use: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a drive eject icon.
I have no Bluetooth gear. My stereo has Wi-Fi, but apparently I can't connect to it without a router. The eject icon says "no drives" even when I have a USB drive mounted.
Is there a way to remove these items from the menu bar?

Eject button will only show something to eject when you have a CD or DVD inserted.

How do I create a keyboard shortcut for a nested finder menu item?

Specifically I'm trying to create a keyboard shortcut for Finder>Services>Mail>Send File.
Any help would be appreciated.

Under System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts, click on the "+" sign. From the drop-down menu choose Application: Finder, Menu Title: "Send File" (without the quotes), Keyboard Shortcut: whatever.
Close system System Preferences and quit the Finder for the change to take effect. You can easily quit and relaunch the Finder from the Apple Menu > Force Quit. Select Finder and click on the Relaunch button.
For the action to complete, select the Finder item before pressing your keyboard short cut.

To bounce the Process Transaction Manager, you need to follow the steps in the same note (Step A and B). So, cancel the request from (System Administrator responsibility > Requests > View), then submit the concurrent request from the Inventory responsibility (using the same navigation path in my previous reply).
No, I cant see it under interface managers. (no organizations are defined)Please check with your functional team why no organizations are defined and why this interface manager is not set.

Cannot see menu items on database home page after install of beta3

I have installed XE beta 3 in a Windows 2000 SP4 VM. Install went fine and I can get to the home page without issue. However, I cannot see the items when I use the pulldown menus. If I move the mouse cursor over them, it is possible to select although I dotn know what I am selecting!
Has anyone experienced this problem, or does anyone have any idea what is causing it?

I am running VMware Workstation 5.5 for Windows XP.
I have a Windows 2000 VM established, with SP4 applied.
The VM is running IE 5. I have no other browsers installed. I am not able to install XE anywhere else at present, due to resource limitations.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Next week I will install onto a "real" Windows 2000 environment, but would like to get this one working sooner than that.

Missing icons, cannot open menu items

Yesterday I updates my software and when I restarted my computer I encountered several problems.
1) My hard drive icon is not shown on my desktop
2) I cannot open anything in the menus of the "Finder" toolbar"
3) I cannot not move or open any documents located on my desktop
4) Most of the widgets in dashboard are not showing and those that are are not working properly.
5) When I plug in my thumb drive nothing shows up on my desktop any more.
everything else seems to be working fine. any advise?

First, you need to realize that resetting preferences will put them back to ground zero, not the way they were the last time you were happy.
You can try the key combination again and see if you are any faster (we're talking near instantaneous) or you can open your user profile, show hidden files and folders and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 4.0 and rename the two files InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData.
In your case, a better first option, I think, would be to try System Restore which you'll find in System Tools under the Programs > Accessories heading on the start menu. Go back to the first restore point before you tried to open the file, if you can.
In any case, for you to open a CS3 .inx file you will need to be fully patched the the last CS2 update, and you should expect to see some text reflow issues, as well as missing any CS3 features that the author used which aren't supported in CS2.

Find menu item without identifier (ID)

I have an extension in jsxbin adds that 2 items to the context menu. I want to overwrite one of these items from another extension written by me in jsx, the problem is that I have no the iddentifier of that command menu.
is there any way to delete that entry from the menu and replace it with mine without the id? MenuElement.find () only works with the id ... I found nothing more
I tried to see the contents of the contextual menu to try to list all identifiers but have not succeeded.

FF updated something so that history takes up whole bottom half of screen; I cannot surf, or even see start menu. I cannot change menu items so that I am asked before something is downloaded and uopdated automatically. These were NOT my settings!

My browser was very slow, so I cleared cookies and cache. When FF (4.0) restarted, it said it had installed colourful tabs (which I ALREADY HAD). I opened FF and typed in mmy first TE on my list ( I surf traffic exchanges). But I cannot do so on FF anymore. Only half my computer screen is from the TE or web page, and the bottom HALF of the screen is for History, etc. I cannot even see or access the Start menu or my open tabs at the bottom of the screen, unless I use Control and Escape.
I got the url from FF 4.0 , uninstalled the old version and reinstalled it. Same thing. I uninstalled it again, straight from my control panel (Windows Vista Home Premium), cleared cookies and cache again, fixed registry problems again, and restarted my computer. STILL same thing!
I tried to adjust settings, but it will not let me change what I need to. I cannot unclick that updates will be downloaded and installed automatically, and check that I want to be asked each time. I do not know if I can even SEE what was updated, to give you an idea if that could have caused this very nasty problem. Nasty, because until it is fixed, I will not be using FF.

After following all the instructions given, I poked around safe websites as suggested. I am not sure why this step was needed, as websites functioned rather normally before I came here but I did it anyways and found that the websites still work the same as they did. I can still do everything I used to be able to do. I see no change in the function of the websites.
However, I still cannot resize, close, or move the browser window. I don't know if Netflix is a safe site or not (too many conflicting opinions on that one from the masses) so I don't know if the issue with the vanishing buttons is still there, but all the issues I had with the browser window itself is still there.
Even in safe mode the browsers three window control buttons on the top right refuse to let me use them and the window itself will refuse to be moved around.
