Cannot find the OAS Oracle Process Manager Service

Hi guys!
Somehow when I installed the OAS, I couldnt find the Process MAnager Service. I always have to restart it manually. And when I log out it stops...what should I do?

Do not have the service interact with the desktop or run as a user. Ensure to start the service from the services.msc window.

It will ask for user name / password. Specify the user details that you used at the time of the Oracle BI 11g install. You could also use a ‘Boot Identity File’ -(boot.properties). Check the documentation for more details.
Wait untill you see message Admin server is in ‘RUNNING MODE’.
–> Now start Managed server from GUI
Access WebLogic console from a webbrowser
http://<machinename>:7001/console
Login, Environment > servers > Control > select bi_server1 > click on start
It would take some time for the Managed server to start. Wait untill you see the ‘Running’ status.
–> Now start the OBIEE components from command prompt
Cd bi0104\instances\instance7\bin
opmnctl startall
Note that it’s a possible startup sequence. There are multiple ways to statup.
i am getting all above messages all but not getting oracle process manager up in the services.msc
error : not getting up in timely fashion -1053

Unable to start Oracle Process Manager Service

I installed EPM 11.1.2.1 on Windows 2008 R2.
Oracle database 11g.
I installed and configured every thing was working fine. But suddenly the Oracle Process Manager service is not starting.
I checked in event viewer the following error i found:
The Oracle Process Manager (EPM_epmsystem1) service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Cannot find the assembly Oracle.DataAccess

Ok,
We have a dataset generation class that runs remotely as a windows service in VB.NET.
On some machine, when they have connected and are running a query, they get an exception thrown
Cannot find the assembly Oracle.DataAccess, Version=9.2.0.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342
Now everybody is hitting the same server, using the same installation of ODP.NET. It's in the GAC and installed fine.
Any ideas why we might be getting this?

Add to that some users are now also getting Data provider internal error(-3001) errors ???

Hi, I've this problem when any program use a connection with Oracle provider over any server (2 distinct server access to Oracle 9i with forms applications).
The specific error is:
Cannot find the assembly Oracle.DataAccess, Version=1.102.2.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342.
This problem is resolve (temporary) executing:
Alter Procedure <<Any procedure valid name>> compile
But this is not an elegant solution.
Please, ODP save something else in memory than executing this sentence clear an resolve this situation ??
Exists any solution for this problem ??

This sounds odd - I don't see how compiling an Oracle procedure would help .NET to locate an assembly - you're not trying to run an assembly inside Oracle are you?
Tell is more about what you're trying to do. If this is just a common program that is running on a server and trying to connect to Oracle, it sounds like ODP is not installed on the computer that is running this code. You should see Oracle.DataAccess in the GAC.

Cannot find new_domain in BPEL Process Manager

Hi Friends,
I have upgraded the patch of oracle soa suite 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.4 ....I followed the procedure , i ran the scripts, installation was successful. but when i open my bpel process manager i dont find any change the GUI is not different...i have seen screenshots of 10.1.3.4 bpel pm they are different and it has an option jump to dropdown menu where it has default and new_domain menu items but i cant find them...
can anyone please tell me what should do in order to get the option of creating new_domain...
it would be very thankful....

i got the problem solved of activities tab in BPEL PM console.
but when my friend installed patch 10.1.3.4 , everything is same but the change was in bpel process manager console and he has seperate web page for bpel admin user console and in bpel console he has an option to create new_domain
but when i installed i got extra configurations and administrator tab
what mistakes did i do? i followed all the instructions and i run the scripts
why am i not getting the new features of bpel process manager
please try to solve this problem...if this problem persists the same , will i dont get any errors while depolying bpel processes
actually i want to do orderbooking tutorial...please let me know

Oracle Process Manager failed to start(11.1.2)

I've installed and configured 11.1.2 on my VM(Win 2003 SP2)
Then i've been trying to start system but during launching Oracle Process manager I get the following error
Could not start Oracle Process Manage service(ohsInstance3250625901) on local computer
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start request in a timely fashion
Then i checked Event log
The Oracle Process Manager (EPM_epmsystem1) service failed to start due to the following error:
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the Oracle Process Manager (EPM_epmsystem1) service to connect.
The Oracle Process Manager (ohsInstance3250625901) service failed to start due to the following error:

I am having an issue that I am hoping someone can help figure out for me.
I am currently learning Java, and am working with the Beginning Programming with Java for Dummies book second edition. I have downloaded and am running the Java 6 program and am using the JCreator 3.5Pro that was recommended to run the Practice files for the Dummies book.
I have the practice files here:
C/Program Files/Xinox Software/JCreatorV3/My Projects
While trying to compile one of the practice files, I get this error message:

When I set up the new file, and the new class, I confirmed the file path.
I know most people will ask if I am absolutely certain I put in the code in properly, and yes I did. It was a matter of copying word for word, and punctuation. I did it 100% correctly. About 12 times. I have NO idea what this means, but I would REALLY REALLY appreciate any help on this.
Please keep in mind, I am slightly clueless, and really need to have any help dumbed down a bit. Lol.
As a side note, this isn't my first project, and I haven't had this problem before now.

So I wanted to clarify what I've done a bit more since I decided to redownload the dummies programs for the program and try again.
I will try to list my steps in order of what I did and see if I've gone wrong somewhere along the line.

I unzipped them this time here: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\MyProjects\
I opened JCreator 3.5 and starting fresh, with all previous projects deleted and clicked on "Open Workspace". I chose "MyWorkspace.jcw". Right clicked MyWorkspace and chose "Add new Project" and then chose "Empty Project". As per the books instruction for the first project, I named it "MyFirstProject". My file path was: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_21\MyProjects\MyFirstProject. Which is where I upzipped the files. I added it to current workspace and clicked finish.
I then added a new class. As per the books instructions, I right clicked "MyFirstProject" and selected Add New Class. For the name, I used MyFirstJavaClass, which is what the book told me to do. My locations are the exact same as above. and I clicked on Generate new Method, as it told me to. Which it doesn't in the next few lessons, so I know this has nothing to do with it. For that and a few other reasons. Lol.
I clicked on Finish.
All I had to do was replace a single line of code. Not type it all in this time.
Here is what shows up on the screen:

Unable to start Oracle Process Manager from the windows services for OBIEE

Hi,
I have OBIEE 11g installed on a 32-bit windows machine. Of the two windows services installed, I am unable to start the Oracle Process Manager. When I try to start it I get the following error:
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
At the back end, this service is calling the file opmn.exe which is placed at MIDDLEWAREHOME\Oracle_BI1\opmn\bin. On trying to execute this file the error we get is:
The procedure entry point longjmp could not be located in the dynamic link library orauts.dll
I have tried replacing the orauts.dll file, but to no avail.
Please let me know if you have any clue regarding what is to be done.

Hi Naman,
This error occurs for the following reasons,
*Path variable is not set properly
*Multiple Oracle homes exists in the same machine.
Follow the below steps and let me know if it works,
1. Select My Computer -> Right Click -> Properties
2. In the System Properties screen go to Advanced Tab
3. Click on Environment Variables
4. In the System Variables section select PATH variable & Click edit
5. Now you will find that it will contain invalid directories. Remove the incorrect entries. This may happen when you have multiple oracle homes in the same machine
6. Restart the service.

Oracle Access Manager Configuration : Cannot find the Person Object Class

I am trying to install OAM , I am getting the following error when i am configuring the Identity server for the first time.
1) I have installed OID. I am using one OID for both config and user data.
2) I have installed Identity server and have modified the OID schema automically during installation.
3) I have installed web pass.
I have gone to the url: http://trn-ps-oid.oracle.com:7777/identity/oblix
Here i gone to Identity System Console to configure Identity server.
Following are the config data i have given
Configuration DN : dc=mydomain,dc=com
Search Base : dc=mydomain,dc=com
Host : mypc.mydomain.com
Port Number : 389
Root DN : cn=orcladmin
Root Password : *******
Directory Server Security Mode : Open
Is the Configuration data stored in this directory also : Yes
Person Object Class : inetorgperson
Auto configure objectclass : yes
Group Object Class : groupOfUniqueNames
Auto configure objectclass : yes
After this I have clicked on the restart server button.
It comes back to the page asking to enter Person Object class details.
I Get the Error : Cannot find the Person Object Class.
I have checked the object class in OID it is there, I have verified the connection details are also correct.
Any Ideas what might be wrong.
Earlier during setup i had to modify the OID schema, how do i check if this has been done.

Unable to start Oracle Process manager (instance1) service.

When I try to start this service I get the following error in Event Manager:
Faulting application opmn.exe, version 11.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4ed8d1e8, faulting module yod.dll, version 6.0.6002.18541, time stamp 0x4ec3e855, exception code 0xc0000135, fault offset 0x00000000000b6fc8, process id 0x1ca4, application start time 0x01cd660277503c3a.
But if I try through the command prompt 'opmnctl start' it works just fine. The problem is now I have to stay logged into the machine, if I log out opmn shuts down.
This is happening on two servers we have this installed on. Windows Server 2008 (NOT R2) 24gb ram. Otherwise it is running just fine.
Very little help on google for this issue. Any help would be great.

Sorry if I was not clear on my issues, but it is when I try to start the windows service, (Oracle Process Manager (instance1), that I get this error in the Event Logs.
Does anyon know the difference between the commands for starting this service through Windows Services and 'opmnctl start'?

Release Management error "The system cannot find the file specified"

We are getting the above error when deploying to a set of 4 servers (all belong to a tag). The deployment succeeds for 3/4 servers. For the server that fails, there is no tool or command output log to look at. We are able to log on to the
server in question and run the command manually (i.e. .\msiexec <filename.msi>) and that succeeds.
What can we do to troubleshoot this further?

Oracle.as.provisioning.exception: The system cannot find the path specified

Installing 11g middleware on Win2003 server. During Application Configuration portion the install fails in the Deploying Enterprise Manager step. Error log shows 'oracle.as.provisioning.exception.ASProvWorkflowException: The system cannot find the path specified'. I've pointed the environment variables to a temp directory that does not have spaces in the name (c:\TEMP) and placed the installation files in directories that do not have spaces. I can't tell what directory it can not find. Any ideas?

I unistalled everything and started over and eliminated Enterprise Manager from the list. Now it cancels at the Application Configuration step in Applying Oracle JRF Template with the same error. Cannot find path specified.
Does anyone have any idea what path it could be looking for? I can't tell where else to look.

I downloaded 200 photos, an event folder was created, I could see all the photos and was in the process of editing them when I got a message that iPhoto unexpectedly quit. I cannot find the photos anywhere on my computer now. Is there anything to do?

I downloaded 200 photos, an event folder was created, I could see all the photos and was in the process of editing them when I got a message that iPhoto unexpectedly quit. I cannot find the photos anywhere on my computer now. Is there anything to do?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
