Cant register email on new BB

Hey All
wonder if yu could help me. I've just got a new BB( Curve 8520 on O2 pay & go) and I cant register my email address to my new device. Below is some of the things that have happened thus far too help illiminate what ISNT the problem....
....  OLD DEVICE - worked fine got push emails bbim etc etc  Curve 8700 - yh seriously ancient with a jog wheel and everything but its a rugged thing lol)
NEW DEVICE: - when 1st went to register email it advised that the email was already registered to a BB and asked if I wanted to move it - said yes and gt message saying that the old device had been deactivated and no further emails would be sent to it. Everytime I tried it said "problem connecting to the application server please try again"  I went to the O2 store and they tried then decided it was my SIM card as I've been with them for ages and gave me a new 1. Personally I dont go for this as all my push apps worked just fine on my old device with my old SIM. The new SIM is now up & running but when I try I get "Update Failed" after I enter my email address and password.
OTHER INFO: I've managed to download, install & connect to msn messenger. When I try to do FaceBook it fails to authenticate when I go to download the app. I use a hotmail.COM address although based in the UK but I've had the addy for about 15 years and as I've mentioned it worked just fine on my old BB. Its NOT a password issue( also haven't changed that in ages) as I've tested the device by entering stupid stuff in the password field and it knows that thats the incorrect password. I can access the internet fine. I've logged into my actual email account on my lappy and there's nothing wrong with my hotmail account itself.
Soooo hpoefully I've narrowed it down enough for one of y'all to be able to say "ahh yeah just do this" so I can actually have a BB that works again  and you'll also be saving the lives of the people in the O2 store aswell as I intened 2 exact great vegence on them for being useless

It's actually a pity that you've proceeded as far as you have. There is a handy Device Switch Wizard that would have facilitated the entire process for you, but from where you are it's too late to try that.
Given what you have said, there seems to be something wrong at the carrier end. You really have to continue to work with them to get it resolved, escalating through them all the way into RIM if necessary. They have the power to do that, btw...you have no free method to seek support from RIM.

    Hey I hope the following will make sense.?
    I got an new phone and have "added" my hotmail account to the mail.
    It accepts my email address and password.
    I can receive emails however I am unable to send emails.
    When I attempted to send an email a message comes up saying "The user name or password for address is incorrect" but it is all correct as it allows me to receive emails.
    I have deleted and restored the account a few times, any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Try checking your SMTP details. See if the SMTP server settings or your username and password is correct there. Receiving is done with different details so in a way they will be different.

    Your credit card info, billing address must be the same country as the iTunes store country you registering.
    For example, you can’t have a credit card from a U.S. bank with  a U.S. billing address registered in the iTunes store for China.
    I tried to change my payment information too, but it happened the same, I can change the information but when I get to the state part, it only shows the other country states
    Remove all payment info and save it.
    Then change the iTunes store country to U.S., add a U.S. credit card with a U.S. billing address.
    As previously suggested, if this does not work, contact iTunes store support.

    I cant register my new iPod.
    This is because I have no bottom scroll bar. My iTunes wont allw me to use my iPod without registering it and I cant register it beacause it only shows half the page. I click to register then when I get to the second page where all the regulations are, all I can do is click I agree. I cannot click the continue button because it is on the other side of the page and I cant get to it. I have been looking for a way to get a bottom scroll bar but so far I have come up with nothing. I have a brand new iPod I can't use. Very sad. If this helps its a third generation nano. If anyone knows what I should do please tell me.

    if it don't work on both wifi and 3g then likely it's the email account settings which are incorrect set
    and you should go over them 1 by 1 with the guide from the email provider as how to setup their mail service
    if it works over wifi but not 3g then likely your carrier blocks the port your mail provider require

    If the card is valid and is for the country you are located contact iTunes. The payment method (like card billing address) has to be associated with the country you are located and you must use that country's iTunes and App store.

  • Purchased new mac, but lost serial number and no longer have access to registered email.  Help

    As the subject header states, I purchased new mac, but lost my serial number and no longer have access to registered email.  I had purchased the Creative Suite Web and Design C6 version.  Support said they can only forward my lost serial number to the registered email.  Since she was without effective tools, she recommended I post something on the forums for support.  Anyone have the ability to get me back to using my suite?

    Only the person(s) you spoke to have the ability to provide you with the serial number.  People here can merely suggest where to look for it.  If you registered your software when you installed it originally then you should be able to find your serial number stored in your Adobe account online in the Products section.
    You might want to try updating your information in your account if the email is the only thing holding back from getting the info sent to you.

  • Cant register vodaphone email

    I have a curve that was connected to T MOBILE ive since left T MOBILE and moved to VODAPHONE. When ive gone to register for email etc it says this device has already been registered. So i called T MOBILE to unregister it at blackberry.com but they wont as i'm no longer a T MOBILE customer and tbh really dont have a clue what i'm tlaking about and really wont help me cos i'm no longer a T MOBILE customer.
    I now cant use email on my blackberry as i cant re-register it. Blackberry really need to make it easier to register and unregister a device when you change networks.
    Can anyone help me with this ?

    Blackberry.com does not hold your account, Tmobile does.
    Try this instead... call the support, and explain to them, again politely, that you recently purchased the device used, and you need to place it on your network now, and that your seller forgot to unregister the PIN so that you can use it. 
    Honestly, this question occurs on this forum multiple times daily here, it is common.  You just need a kinder and gentler customer service rep with TMO.

    I just set up my home today previoulsy changed over from orange, I have 4 email accounts spread between btconnect and organgehome.
    I have searched high and low to find how to set the email preferences in outlook 2003 and can recive but cant send emails and I wondered if any one could help.
    I have selected the outgoing server authentication tab as this seemed a common problem for others that I have found in FAQs, however for me it dont work.

    Hi Peter. Welcome to the forums.
    Are you getting any error messages ?
    For non BTinternet email addresses, you normally need to do something called address verification. See my shortcuts option 0e on this topic.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

    I have tried many times to register for a new account but it always comes up with an error message that my phone needs to be activated, I call multiple times and activate it, no text message, and the website still won't accept the number as valid. This is becoming increasingly frustrating as I had just bought a 45$ card which is now completely useless, every time I try to call verizon I get some "technical difficulties" **, and to make matters worse there is no way to email customer service and I cant chat without an account which I need to chat with them to open!!!!! Verizon is becoming an ever increasing pain in the *** to deal with and situations like this are why I am considering cancelling my service and going back to at&t.

        Sorry to hear that you have had such a hard time registering with MyVerizon, rainbloom. Are you calling *228? Do you get the message that the phone has been activated successfully? If so, try deleting your cookies and cache in your web browser, reload the webpage and try registering once again.
    If the trouble still persists you can get assistance by calling 888-294-6804. Here is a quick pathway to get to a person if you need it. Select 1 for English and then enter your phone number. After you do that and hear "main menu" press 4. When the next menu begins select 5 and when you hear the next menu pickup press 4. It will then connect you and ask that you enter your pin while you wait to get  connected. If you do not remember or have not established a pin enter 0000.

  • How To Register For a New eFax Account on the Photosmart eStation

    If you ever find yourself unable to log in to your eFax account and you have contacted HP Technical Support and eFax only to find the problem cannot be fixed by either party, there is a way to register for a different account but the only way to do this involves using a Photosmart eStation.  The error you may get will read "Invalid Login" and is only applicable on the Photosmart eStation, HP Envy Series, and the Photosmart 7510 regardless of whether you are trying to create a new account or just access one that already exists, here are the steps to fix that:
    1. Go to www.efax.com and sign in. 
    2. Select "Update Account" and then select the profile tab.
    3. Change the current contact email to a dummy/alternate email (must have a phone number listed on this page before changes will go into effect).
         a) Using the @hpeprint.com email may cause problems.
         b) Log out of eFax account.
    4. Go to the E-station and follow these instructions to be able to register for a new account:
         a) On the top of the E-station, select the 3rd Menu button (3 lines) and go to
         b) Select Settings then
         c) Tools then
         d) Advanced then
         e) Applications and
         f) Manage Applications
         g) next Filter > select All and wait for all the apps to load.
         h) Scroll down to very bottom for Webfax
         i) and then Clear Data in this section
         j) Select the Home button at the top and
         k) Select Efax and register for a new account with a preferred email and zip code
         l) Write down the new phone number and check your email for a new 4-digit PIN
    5. Repeat these steps to clear the Web Fax data and then try to login to efax.com on the printer by selecting
         a) eFax button
         b) Settings
         c) Account and upgrade information
         d) Change
         e) After selecting chance, in this area, login to eFax on the printer with the new number and pin.
    6. The best test to ensure everything is working now is to send yourself an eFax so you can check for incoming and outgoing processes to be just as you expect it to be.
    7. Print the ePrint info page so that the printer's ePrint email address will be associated with the new eFax account.
    And that is the trick on how to get a new eFax account if you are experiencing issues with signing in from the front panel of the printer.  If you do not have access to a Photosmart eStation, then contact HP Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in North America or are an English-speaking customer for assistance with this step.
