  • Windows 7 Professional PC hangs at "Loading files" when trying to boot with custom capture image on Windows Deployment Services.

    I have created a custom capture image in WDS. Now when I try to boot my reference PC into this image the PC hangs at "Loading files". The reference PC is running Windows 7 and I am using Windows Server 2012 Standard on my server.
    I have followed the instructions on how to create the custom capture image on the server to a fault. I PXE boot the PC and it shows the capture images after I hit F12. The problem is that it starts to boot and then hangs about 2/3 way through the progress

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Bhuvaneshwari ,
    Through <b>SE78</b> you can fetch the image from application server.

    These images are stored on document server.
    There you can find images of application server.

  • WDS capture image on a Windows 2012 R2 server fails with a winload error

    Hello,
    I have been fighting with this problem for days now. I have to install
    30 Win8.1 Pro PC's with  WDS. The WDS service is running on a Win2012 R2
    server. I added the Win 8.1 Pro boot and install images and created a capture image.
    Now when I boot the reference computer I get  a Boot Manager message saying that winload.exe is missing or corrupt. The original boot wim works
    correctly.I removed and added the WDS role a couple of times, I tried the procedure with a 32 bit Win7 boot image, and that worked, But when I added the capture image created from the original Win8.1 boot.wim, that spoiled both capture images.  I tried
    the same thing with a Win2012 R2 Standard server after removing and adding the WDS role again, but the capture image generated the same error as above. .I see that since about mid-April many people has the same problem.Different solutions are suggested, but
    none of them   worked for me.  One of them is to mount and unmount the capture image, that didn't help for me.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    Gabor

    Do I understand correctly that if you deploy original wim file to your testPC1 it works all right, but if you deploy an image that you captured on buildPC to testPC1 then you get the winload.exe error ?
     Are you formatting (deleting all the partitions) on testPC1 during the
    deployment of captured image ? Can you check and confirm if the HDD seting for AHCI or IDE (yes, its still around) is the same option on both stations?

  • Save the image in the application server directly

    Hi,
          I have developed a report which displays piechart as the output and saves the image on the presentation server. For that i have used the following code.
       when 'SAVE'.
    DATA : D TYPE GFW_EXP_DATA,
    R TYPE SYMSGNO.
    DATA: S TYPE STRING,
    N TYPE I.
    CALL METHOD GP_INST->IF_GRAPHIC_PROXY~EXPORT

    FORMAT =
    IF_GRAPHIC_PROXY=>co_format_bmp
    WIDTH = 50
    HEIGHT = 200
    name = 'C:\Documents and Settings.........'
    IMPORTING
    CONTENT_TYPE = S
    CONTENT_LENGTH = N
    CONTENT = D
    RETVAL = R
    I have a requirement where i have to save the output of the screen(piechart)  in the application server directly with out using the presentaion server.
    Is there any method to do so.
    Thanks and regards,
    Parvatha Reddy

    Hi parvatha ,
    your question is really good.
    Well i really haven't come across your scenario i many years . But my suggestion is to  can use java code to achieve the same .
    Or try to use hexadecimal type in your normal class to read the pie-chart and use transfer with same type .

    Hi!
    In forms 10g we use webutil for that. I think forms 6i do not support that.
    May search here in the forum for webutil for 6i.
    Some guys had built a webutil.pll that s working on 6i.
    Here is the thread: Converting to Webutil? 6i and 9i equivalents.

  • "Captured" images in Photos application on FP2 pho...

    I have some photographs taken on a Nokia N96 that are only viewable under the "All" option in the Photos application. They don't show up in "Captured" or "Months".
    Is it possible to these images recognised as captured photographs by the device?
    Thank you!

    My N85 (RM333 - 11.047) experience - might be similar for you people.
    I cleared my "Captured Images" via Nokia Photos (which only copies). I then went back and selected all my images on the phone and deleted them. Since then any photo i take no longer shows up in "Captured Images", but this is what I discovered.
    The images are stored on the SD card inthe default "Images" directory where it creates (by default) monthly folders into which it stores the images... eg, 200902 for Feb.
    Since I cleared the gallery the by default creates a new directory called "Camera" under the default "Images" directory and into this directory creates monthly folders into which it stores the images. As a result the images now appear in "ALL" but not in "Captured Images".
    If I shift the monthly image directories from "Camera"  back under "Images" still no joy. But if I turn the phone off and on - it will display the shifted images in "Captured Images". If I then go a take a new image it sticks back into the "Camera" directory. If I delete the "Camera" and try again (even with powering the phone off and on) it just re-creates the "Camera" directory and ditto all over again.
    This definitely a bug in the firmware. So I am going to try a few ideas I think will work and will re-post back here ASAP. Hope this was of some help because it's been a frustrating experience...

  • WDS - Server 2008 R2 Create an Capture Image Error

    I'm trying to create a capture image, and when I do that I receive an error stating "The operation completed with errors. A required privilege is not held by the client".
    I've logged in with multiple domain admins, I've "run as administrator" for WDS, I've uninstalled/reinstalled the role and reconfigured it. I cant find any group policies that would be affecting this in a negative way. This is installed on a DC
    which does not have DHCP.
    I'm pretty much at the end of my rope here, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
    Thank you all in advance!

    Hi,
    Add the user to local administrator group and try again.
    If the issue persists, you can enable logging and tracing WDS component.

  • Windows Server 2012r2 WDS capture image hangs at black screen

    Ok so i upgraded my server to 2012r2 and i am using the boot.wim from windows8.1 pro iso.  I create a deploy image and it boots up on my fujitsu stylistic machine.  It also boots on my lenovo thinkpad yoga.
    I go and create a capture image and at first fails so i added the usb3.0 lenovo dongle driver.  It then shows me the windows logo and just hangs at black screen.   I have downloaded the entire sccm driver package off lenovo site and nothing has
    helped.  It also does not load on the fujitsu machine either.
    I have been going nuts any help is much appreciated
    thanks
    Dave

    Hello,
    Where did you get the original image? If you download it from MSDN or technet, can you provide the link?
    And is update 1 integrated with the original image or you install it manually after installation?
    In order to address the issue, we need collect some more informaiton.
    Thank you.

  • Captured images missing installed applications

    Greetings,
    I am using MDT 2013 to capture an image of a reference computer that has Windows 8.1 installed, along with several additional applications.  When I deploy the captured image with a new task sequence set up for that purpose, the applications are
    missing.  This is not a matter of the shortcuts being gone; they do not exist in the their respective Program Files folders either, and do not appear in the Programs and Features list.
    I have verified that I'm using the captured image, and captured the reference image again (from a Hyper-V VM) just to be sure.  My understanding was that sysprep & capture did not remove applications, just data that's unique to users and the machine.
    Thank you in advance for any help.

    Problem solved.  After updating the deployment share, I had forgotten to replace the boot image within WDS.

    Hi Arbind,
    Just realize... when you run it in foreground, you have a foreground to capture the file location. so it runs fine..
    but when you are running it in background, there is no foreground to check that is no gui present... how can it check where the C:\.... location is??
    no need of reading any oss note... just see.. the name is cl_GUI_FRONTEND_service.. its only for front end..
    u need open dataset, read dataset, close dataset kind of things while running in background. or RFCs to read the file... (search SDN).
