Capture realime data by using CDC

Hi experts
i have one doubt. how to capture the real time data by using CDC and how can we schedule that scenario(we dont know the exact time when new transactions occurs)
i have emp and look up table dept using lookup condition and applied CDC also on emp table but its executed successfully.my doubt is how can we identify the data which are effected by CDC
please reply.
Thanks
nari

For configuring CDC please refer to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/integrate.1111/e12643/data_capture.htm#CFHFHIAJ
There is a oditool called odiWaitForLogData which waits for the existence of changed data in the journal table. You can use it in your package. Details on using CDC is described at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/integrate.1111/e12643/data_capture.htm#CFHIHJEE

    hi all,
    what is the Architecture of SQL server change data capture(CDC)? is sql server using trigger to capture change data in SQL server CDC? for example Change Data Capture (CDC) in SQL Server 2008 using we can capture change Data records INSERTs, UPDATEs, and
    DELETEs applied to SQL Server tables.so my question is SQL server using triggers to capture change data like INSERT TRIGGER, UPDATE TRIGGER and DELETED TRIGGER using each tables after enabled CDC...?

    It is not using triggers. The source is the transaction log.

    Basics of Change Data Capture
    ...The source of change data for change data capture is the SQL Server transaction log. As inserts, updates, and deletes are applied to tracked source tables, entries that describe those
    changes are added to the log. The log serves as input to the change data capture capture process. This reads the log and adds information about changes to the tracked table’s associated change table. Functions are provided to enumerate
    the changes that appear in the change tables over a specified range, returning the information in the form of a filtered result set. The filtered result set is typically used by an application process to update a representation of the source in some external
    environment. ...

  • How to capture the data that the user modified in SM30(Maintenance view)

    Hello experts,
    I have a new requirement wherein when the user modifies a particular record in SM30(maintenance view)
    it would also update that certain records in another table. For example, I modified the address
    of record 1 in table1 so I need to automatically update that same record in table2. Help would be greatly appreciated.
    Again, thank you guys and have a nice day!

    Hi again,
    1. But how can I capture the data that was modified
    Yes, u are right.
    We will have to use the event,
    'BEFORE SAVING'.
    2. In that,
      u must fire a select query,
       from the same table,
       for the same record.
    3. In this, u will get the OLD DATA (which was already saved),
    4. Using this,u can compare,
       (either thru LOOP, or field by field)
      to know, which field value has been changed.
    regards,
    amit m.

  • How to capture the data from a JSP form

    Hi
    I have a JSP form, My task is to capture the data from a JSP and submit to Data Base. for example I have the field like
    Enter Table name to be created in data base: The table name is to be captured by a servlet and by that table name, table should be created in the data base.
    Edited by: Reddy_Prasad on ?? ?????, ???? ?:?? ???????
    Edited by: Reddy_Prasad on ?? ?????, ???? ?:?? ???????

    Get the entered value from the jsp into servlet using request.getParameter("enteredTableName"). it will return the String,pass this table name to execute query using JDBC connection and statement objects.

  • Editable ALV, how to capture changed data

    Hi All,
    I have created an editable ALV. User can make some changes in the displayed record and press "Submit" button (custom button on application toolbar), the program should validate the data and write the file on application server if validations are successful otherwise controls stay on the same screen.
    I am handling this validation and writing file part in PAI of the screen.
    Problem: The program is capturing the data when user changes it for the first, but program is failing to capture the subsequent changes (user makes after the validation fails). Program processes always the first time changed data only. Please help me in getting this problem resolved.
    Step1 : Program shows output.
    Step2: User changes Company Code.
    Step3: User clicks on Submit Button.
    Step3.1: Program reads the new data and performs validation.
    Step3.2: New Company code is not valid, error displayed.
    Step4: User changes the company code again, presses submit button.
    Goto step 3.1 -> Here program does not read the new data, rather first time changes company code is again read and validated, and program shows the same error again, which is not a desired result

    Hi Ashish,
    you need a method HANDLE_DATA_CHANGED as handler for grid event DATA_CHANGED.
    Use
    LOOP AT er_data_changed->mt_mod_cells ASSIGNING <mod>.
    to check all changed data. In this event, add the error messages to ER_DATA_CHANGED object.
    set all required handlers, i.e.
    SET HANDLER:
          handle_data_changed          FOR ro_grid,
          handle_data_changed_finished FOR ro_grid,
          handle_toolbar_set           FOR ro_grid,
          handle_user_command          FOR ro_grid,
          handle_hotspot_click         FOR ro_grid,
          handle_f4                    FOR ro_grid,
          handle_f1                    FOR ro_grid.
       ro_grid->set_toolbar_interactive( ).
    Register ENTER and MODIFIED events.
        ro_grid->register_edit_event( cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_evt_enter ).
        ro_grid->register_edit_event( cl_gui_alv_grid=>mc_evt_modified ).

  • Data types used in a sub VI - selecting the correct input and output types?

    data types used in a sub VI - selecting the correct input and output types?
    I can never work out how to choose an input or output format for Subvi's.
    I want to create a SubVI for the code in red. I needs an VI Server Reference compatible input and an output that goes to  a waveform.

    GerdW,
    I realise now I have taken us in the wrong direction. apologies for that.
    History, this is not my code and I do not own the process and NOT my preferred method of using it. I was looking for a simple way to make subtle changes.
    What we do - We use these programs to collect data from typically 6 pressures and 6 temperature probes and capture RS232 / USB VISA strings from sensors.
    So every few weeks / months or up to a year we rearrange each sensor location to suit the new process. I did not write the code. I cannot change the procedure too much without resistance.
    So headers in the CSV file have the DaqMX string passed through the code. Great.
    Other data to the CSV file comes from calculations or extracted from the VISA string. Hence why we have headers with "Untitled 1 ()". These values also go to a History Chart.
    So I was looking for a simple way to read the the local variable label as it is always linked to the front page indicator. People can cope with editing the indicator label, save the VI and hit run.
    TL;DR - GerdW is now a psychologist.

  • Capture object in Siebel using Oracle ATS

    Hi,
    I hope some one can help me.
    Is it possible to capture the data of a particular record in Siebel form applet and list applet using either of the object test/ table test?
    Im also having the issue that path of List applet is not detected while operating in the capture mode. How can i get the path and data for a particular record in both the form applet and list applet?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello
    Have you ran an OpenScript diagnostic? (Help -> Diagnostic tool) to check everything is correct?
    Have you created a siebel functional test script?
    To get the content of a textfield, you should right clic, add -> other and find out the type of object you want to capture the text on:
    Text -> Store Attribute
    or
    View Applet -> Store Attribute
    It's always the Store Attribute function that you need to use once you know the type of object.
    To discover the type of object and the attribute name, you can use the object test as described in the Alex blog.
    But if you can't capture any Siebel action, you have a problem and you won't be able to store the attribute....
    Something's wrong.
    Can you see in your script somewhere after the login the function : SiebelFTInit?
    Cheers
    JB

  • Copy/Capture Adjustment Layer settings using Javascript

    Hi,
    For last couple of days I'm trying to copy adjustment layer settings via Javascript after adjustment layer has been already created.
    General idea is to capture adjustment layer settings and save them to JSON file for future preset etc. I was hoping to capture raw data ( getData(stringIDToTypeID('legacyContentData'))) and store it in JSON file base64 encoded.
    I'm able to capture raw data but I'm not able to restore it to the adjustment layer using putData or something similar.
    Capture raw data of adjustment layer:
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var layer = doc.activeLayer;
    ref.putEnumerated(charIDToTypeID("Lyr "), charIDToTypeID("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID("Trgt"));
    var desc = executeActionGet(ref).getList(stringIDToTypeID('adjustment')).getObjectValue(0);
    rawData = desc.getData(stringIDToTypeID('legacyContentData'));
    Trying to restore raw data:
       var desc = new ActionDescriptor();
            var ref = new ActionReference();
            ref.putEnumerated(cTID('AdjL'), cTID('Ordn'), cTID('Trgt'));
            desc.putReference(cTID('null'), ref);
            aldesc = new ActionDescriptor();
            aldesc.putEnumerated(sTID("presetKind"), sTID("presetKindType"), sTID("presetKindCustom"));
            var list1 = new ActionList();
    // Not sure what to do here ...
            aldesc.putList(cTID('Adjs'), list1);
            desc.putObject(cTID('T   '), id, aldesc);
            executeAction(cTID('setd'), desc, mode);
    If I'm using above code with code generated by i.e. script listener or action translated into javascript it works (at least for curves), but I'd rather use getData/putData so I can capture already created adjustment layers with out need to code each layer separately. toStream and fromStream also would work, but I wasn't able to restore data using these methods too.
    Help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the replies you guys. It's not hardware related Mylenium. My machine was purpose built for AE work and this is a very simple comp that is nothing remotely as intensive as some of the truly complex and effects ladened projects I've done before. It's even simpler than the one in the same project where the other adjustment layer is working properly. The layer is going white before an effect is even being added, so it's not that. I'll double check the OpenGL when I can get back on my machine in a bit, but I never changed anything before changing comps, so I don't think that's it.
    I'm guessing that it is probably related to the layer settings itself. There's no 3D layers so it's not that Dave. I'm going to check Rick's idea when I can because the white solid behavior sounds exactly what he is talking about.

  • How do you capture IQ data with RFSA vi's triggering from ext trg on digitizer?

    I am trying to write an application using RFSA vis that will capture IQ data when triggered from the external trigger port on the digitizer card.  This does not seem to be supported by the RFSA vis and I am not sure how to integrate ni-Scope and niRFSA in one application.

    Hi Jltetzlaff,
    The Clk in and Clk out ports on the 5142 can be used to input and
    export a reference clock.  You can import this as your sample clock
    source over the Clk in by using a simple property node.  This is
    assuming your using LabVIEW.  My main concern is regarding your clock.
    If you take a look at page 20 of the reference manual here:
    http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374300c.pdf, you can see the PFI lines
    follow a very specific digital logic specification (TTL).  It looks like your
    signal won't be recognized properly by these lines.  The lines require
    a voltage above 2.0V to register high.  There is no minimum frequency
    on these PFI lines.  The problem is the logic levels.  My
    recommendation would be to export a start trigger with your AWG to
    begin the RFSA session.  If I'm misunderstanding the setup, could you
    please give more details on devices (model numbers), development
    enviroment (LabVIEW etc.), and what connections you require.  From what
    I understand, you want to sync the RFSA devices with the AWG and DUT.
    Perhaps the session from the AWG that is generating the clock can also
    export an event to start the AWG to start the RFSA device through PFI 0
    or PFI 1.  This can be done using the niFGEN Export Signals.vi.  The
    exported signals by this vi will follow the correct logic accepted by
    the 5142 digitizer in the RFSA setup.
    I hope this helps,
    Paul C.

  • Capturing key data for tracking/compliance

    We have two separate user groups, both of whom can access eLearning portal. One group (permanent staff) does have LMS logins but a bigger (volunteer) group have no login IDs (in a year or so, this may change)
    However, i'd appreciate advice on how to capture basic data (Pass/score and Name, - plus users Location/Role/Manager, not currently captured in our LMS)
    Using CP4, I have set up a Random Q pool and then a slide with free Text Entry Boxes, to input key data.
    There are potentially too many people to manage creating an email to send data.
    How do I collect/export the data into, say, a spreadsheet (as an interim solution to capture data to report for compiance training ) .
    If this is possibile, Step-by-step help would be appreciated. (not a techy and never used anything like java scripting)
    Much thanks in advance

    That seems remarkably complicated - surely there must be an easy way to say That is precisely the way all Actions are handle by Swing components. It is extremely easy if you take a few minutes to understand how it works.
    Using a KeyListener is the wrong approach.

    We have an issue in data transfers using ALE. We are having standalone system where E-Recruiting is maintaind seperately and the version is EHP5.
    When we configured iDoc in Sandbox and its working fine. But when it comes to Dev and Quality servers this is not working fine.
    we have created iDocs using the following filters.
    For Object P: Infotypes 0000, 0001, 0002, 0003, 0006, 0024, 0105.
    For Objects O,S: 1032, Subtype: 0010
    For Object: 1001, Subtype: A003, A008, A012, B007
    For Object O: 1001, Subtype: A002, B002, B003, B012, Tyoe of related object: O,S
    For Objects: C, O, S, Subtype: 1000, 1002, 1028
    For Object:C, Subtype: 1001, Subtype: A007
    When we do the data transfers in Sandbox using PFAL it is transferring the data properly.
    But when we do the same iin Dev and Quality servers we are not able to do it and gettign 52, 51 errors.
    Here we are facing a strange issue. For some Users when we transfer data it is transferring data but with 52 error messgae.
    For some users I am getting 51 error where i could not transfer any data.
    For some users, when we tranfer O, S, and P related data is moving but getting mostly 52 error and all the relationships are not moving here for O,S and properly. But P related CP, BP and NA are getting created successfully.
    It is happening only in Dev and Quality server and that too some users are able to get transferred but not all.
    Where will be the issue? How can we resolve this?
    Any help will be appreciable.
    Thank you in advance.
